Abstract: Natural vulnerability of agriculture is reflected in strong dependence on weather，and change of weather determines yield income.Agricultural production is faced with meteorological and other natural disasters as well as risk of market prices.How to effectively prevent and disperse meteorological disaster risks of agricultural production is a key issue to be studied in development of agricultural economy.Doing a good job in meteorological early warning and forecasting services could effectively prevent risks of meteorological disasters，and agricultural insurance is an effective means to spread risks，among which meteorological index insurance is one of key points of agricultural insurance exploration in recent years.Based on example of Guangzhou vegetable meteorological index insurance platform，strategy of constructing meteorological index insurance platform was deeply discussed.In order to realize intelligent monitoring of meteorological data by platform through joint action of Web system and WeChat client，and assist insurance companied to quickly dispose of claims business.At the same time，with platform as the carrier，meteorological departments，insurance companies and vegetable growers jointly built a new meteorological disaster prevention system.
