Phosphorus (P) fertilizers and mycorrhiza formation can both significantly improve the P supply of plants, but P fertilizers might inhibit mycorrhiza formation and change the microbial P cycling. To test the dimension and consequences of P fertilizer impacts under maize (Zea mays L.), three fertilizer treatments (1) triple superphosphate (TSP, 21–30 kg P ha?1 annually), biowaste compost (ORG, 30 Mg ha?1 wet weight every third year) and a combination of both (OMI) were compared to a non‐P‐fertilized control (C) in 2015 and 2016. The test site was a long‐term field experiment on a Stagnic Cambisol in Rostock (NE Germany). Soil microbial biomass P (Pmic) and soil enzyme activities involved in P mobilization (phosphatases and ß‐glucosidase), plant‐available P content (double lactate‐extract; PDL), mycorrhizal colonization, shoot biomass, and shoot P concentrations were determined. P deficiency led to decreased P immobilization in microbial biomass, but the maize growth was not affected. TSP application alone promoted the P uptake by the microbial biomass but reduced the mycorrhizal colonization of maize compared to the control by more than one third. Biowaste compost increased soil enzyme activities in the P cycling, increased Pmic and slightly decreased the mycorrhizal colonization of maize. Addition of TSP to biowaste compost increased the content of PDL in soil to the level of optimal plant supply. Single TSP supply decreased the ratio of PDL:Pmic to 1:1 from about 4:1 in the control. Decreased plant‐benefits from mycorrhizal symbiosis were assumed from decreased mycorrhizal colonization of maize with TSP supply. The undesirable side effects of TSP supply on the microbial P cycling can be alleviated by the use of compost. Thus, it can be concluded that the plant‐availability of P from soil amendments is controlled by the amendment‐specific microbial P cycling and, likely, P transfer to plants.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to quantify the combined effects of long-term plant biomass retention/removal and environmental conditions on soil microbial biomass phosphorus (P), bioavailable P, and acid phosphomonoesterase activity. Topsoil samples (0–2.5 and 2.5–5 cm) were collected from replicate field-based plots that had been maintained under contrasting plant biomass retention and removal regime for 21 years. Samples were collected on 14 occasions over a 17-month period and assessed for microbial P, bioavailable P, and phosphomonoesterase activity. All P measurements were consistently and significantly higher under plant biomass retention compared with biomass removal. Temporal variations in microbial P and phosphomonoesterase activity were evident in top soil (0–2.5 cm) and were driven by environmental conditions, mainly soil moisture, rainfall, and potential evapotranspiration, while bioavailable P had no temporal variation. Detailed analysis of microbial P data for the top 2.5-cm soil depth revealed that annual P flux through this pool was two times greater under biomass retention (10.3 kg P ha?1 year?1) compared with plant biomass removal (5.0 kg P ha?1 year?1). Similar and consistent trends were observed in soil from 2.5- to 5-cm sampling depth; however, differences were not significant. The findings of this study confirm the importance of the microbial biomass in determining the bioavailability of P in temperate grassland systems.  相似文献

Abstract

Soil phosphorus (P) deficiency is a constraint to crop production in many regions of sub‐Saharan Africa, which could be overcome through use of either soluble P fertilizer or sufficiently reactive phosphate rock (PR). A field study was conducted with corn (Zea mays L.) for three growing seasons (18 months) on a P‐deficient, acid soil in Kenya to compare a soluble P source (triple superphosphate, TSP) and relatively reactive Minjingu PR from Tanzania. In the 18 months following application of 250 kg P ha‐1, bicarbonate extractable inorganic soil P (Pi) was higher for application of TSP than PR, but Pi extracted with a mixed anion‐cation resin was comparable for TSP and PR. Inorganic P extracted by 0.1M NaOH, without prior extraction of resin and bicarbonate Pi, decreased during the 18 months following TSP application, but increased following PR application. After 18 months, about 7% of the added PR‐P remained as Ca‐bound P that was extracted with 1M HCl. The 1M HCl extractable P., however, underestimated residual PR‐P that gradually dissolved and supplied plant‐available P, as indicated by recovery of <40% of PR‐P added to soil in laboratory incubations even though PR solubility in HCl was >90%. Minjingu PR was an effective source of P for corn. Corn yields were comparable for TSP and PR, and the relative agronomic effectiveness of PR averaged 107% in Season 1 and 79% in Season 3. Anion resin and mixed anion‐cation resin appeared to be superior to bicarbonate and NaOH as a soil P test for use with both TSP‐ and PR‐treated soils.  相似文献

This study investigated phosphorus (P) dynamics and kinetics in calcareous soil under inorganic, organic, and integrated (inorganic+organic) fertilizer systems during two growing seasons of maize in two soil depths (0–0.15 and 0.15–0.30 m). A field experiment was conducted with 150, 300, and 400 kg ha?1 triple superphosphate (TSP), 7.5 and 15.0 ton ha?1 (on dry matter basis) farmyard manure (FYM), and integrated systems. In order to analyze Olsen P, soil samples were collected in 30-day-intervals after planting. The results showed that at the end of the two growing seasons of maize, the lowest magnitudes of Olsen P0–0.15 m were 6.0, 6.8, 7.4, and 7.6 mg kg?1 for the control, 7.5 FYM, 15 FYM, and 150 TSP, respectively. The highest magnitudes of Olsen P0–0.15 m were 12.4, 11.5, 11.4, and 11.1 mg kg?1 for 300 TSP+15 FYM, 400 TSP+7.5 FYM, 400 TSP+15 FYM, and 300 TSP+7.5 FYM, respectively. The same trends were observed for Olsen P0.15–0.30 m. Heterogeneous diffusion model demonstrated that Elovich equation could best describe the experimental data (mean; R2 = 0.98, SE = 0.29). The highest P supply rates (PSR) were 4.73, 3.91, and 3.86 mg kg?1day?1 (days after application) for 400 TSP, 400 TSP+15 FYM, and 300 TSP, respectively. The models of P supply capacity of soil could estimate P supply of soil under different fertilizer systems (R2 = 0.84–0.95). The present study improved the understanding of the capacity and rate of P supply by considering P uptake by grain maize. Fertilizer recommendations depend on the accessibility of fertilizer types suggested to help choose the best fertilizer systems.  相似文献

In West Africa, two-thirds of upland rice is grown on acidic phosphorus (P)-deficient soils. Phosphorus is one of the most limiting-nutrients affecting crop productivity. A three-year field experiment was conducted on a Ferralsol in Côte d'Ivoire to study the response of four interspecific rice cultivars and a sativa (control cultivar) to Tilemsi phosphate rock (PR) and soluble triple superphosphate (TSP) fertilizer. PR was applied at 0, 150, 300, and 450 kg ha?1 P once in the first year and residual effects were measured in the following years. TSP (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg ha?1 P) was applied yearly. More significant yield increasing (38%) was observed in the second year. Annual application of 50 kg P ha?1 as TSP or a one-time application of 150 kg P ha?1 as PR was the optimum rate for the production of all cultivars. Higher rates of P from TSP (100 and 150 kg P ha?1) gave 2–3 times greater residual P in soil than the optimum rate, inducing no further response of rice. Two interspecific cultivars were identified as the most acid- and low P-tolerant cultivars for improving rice production in West Africa humid forest zone.  相似文献

A two-year field experiment was conducted in Niger to explore the effects of integrated use of millet glume-derived compost (MGD-Compost) and NP fertilizer on soil microbial biomass carbon (Cmic), nitrogen (Nmic) and millet yields. Three compost rates (3000 kg ha?1, 1500 kg ha?1 and 0 kg ha?1) and three NP fertilizer rates (100%, 50% and 0% of recommended NP fertilizer) were arranged in a factorial experiment organized in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Combined application of compost and NP fertilizer induced a synergistic effect on Cmic and Nmic. Compost application increased millet grain yield from 59% to 91% compared to control. Combined application of compost and NP fertilizer increased millet grain yields from 57% to 70% in 2013 and from 36% to 82% in 2014 compared to sole application of mineral fertilizer. Agronomic efficiency (AE) of nitrogen values increased by 3.7 and 2.3 times than those of sole NP fertilizer application in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Phosphorus AE was 1.6 times higher than that of the sole application of NP fertilizer. These findings indicate that integrated application of MGD-Compost and NP fertilizer enhances soil microbial biomass content and increases millet grain yield in a low-input cropping system.  相似文献

The effect of cattle manure and sulfur fertilizer on seed yield and oil composition of pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo var. Styriaca) under inoculated with Thiobacillus thiooxidans was investigated in a factorial study based on a randomized complete block design. Experimental factors consisted of cattle manure (M) (M0: 0, M1: 10; and M2: 20 t ha?1), sulfur (S) (S0: 0, S1: 250; and S2: 500 kg ha?1) and T. thiooxidans (B): inoculated (B1) and non-inoculated (B0). Results demonstrated that the application of T. thiooxidans, cattle manure, and S fertilizer decreased the soil pH. The largest number of seed per fruit (367), highest fruit yield (70.57 t ha?1), seed iron (Fe) content (16.26 mg 100 g?1), and seed yield (111 kg ha?1) was obtained when 20 t ha?1 manure was applied in combination with 500 kg ha?1 S inoculated with T. thiooxidans. In this condition, the content of S, Fe, phosphorus (P), and nitrogen (N) in plant shoots was increased by 44.8%, 22.58%, 33.89%, and 10.38%, respectively, compared to the control. Moreover, the highest content of seed protein was observed in 10 t ha?1 manure and 500 kg ha?1 S fertilizer inoculated with T. thiooxidans. When 250 kg ha?1 S fertilizer was applied, 20 t ha?1 manure decreased seed P content sharply. At the rate of 500 kg ha?1 S fertilizer, the highest content of seed P was obtained from 20 t ha?1 manure. Totally, 20 t ha?1 cattle manure, along with 500 kg ha?1 S fertilizer as well as T. thiooxidans inoculation, improved oil and seed yield of medicinal pumpkin.  相似文献

Increasing soil phosphorus and organic matter content for crop production while reducing the cost of production are required to facilitate the achievement of green revolution in Africa. Field and pot experiments were laid out during 2012 and 2013 to assess the effects of combined application of Kodjari phosphate rock (PR) and water soluble phosphorus on sorghum yields, P uptake and Lixisol characteristics in the centre west of Burkina Faso. Five P fertilizers treatments (zero P, 100% TSP (triple super phosphate), 100% PR, 50% PR + 50% TSP, 75% PR + 25% TSP) and two cow manure treatments (zero, 5 t ha?1) were tested. In field experiment, 50% PR + 50% TSP was as effective as 100% TSP in increasing sorghum yield above the control by 30% in 2012 and 50% in 2013 and P uptake by 30% in both years. Manure had an additive effect on phosphorus fertilizers in increasing sorghum yields and P uptake. In pot experiment, increases of Ca uptake, soil pH and microbial P were observed with the application of 50% PR + 50% TSP. Our results suggest that formulation of fertilizer combining phosphate rock and mineral P would improve sorghum yields and income of smallholders.  相似文献

The geochemical reactivity of single superphosphate (SSP), triple superphosphate (TSP), phosphate rock (PR), partially acidulated phosphate rock (PAPR) and potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) was evaluated in an incubation trial. The soil was Anthrosols, Ap horizon (Sandy loam). Solubility equilibrium of phosphates was calculated by phosphate (PPot = logH2PO4 – pH) and calcium (CaPot = logCa + 2pH) potentials. Next, activity ratio (AR°) and Woodruff potential (ΔF) were considered for estimating phosphate dynamics in the soil. Data showed that phosphate potentials stressed on significant solubility process and varied accordingly to the rates of the fertilizers: ?5.50, ?4.81, ?4.47 and ?4.09 for 0, 50, 100 and 150 kg P ha?1. The values of the Woodruff potential (ΔF) varied widely from ?1929 to 8573 cal mol?1, i.e., from marginal supplying power in the case of the control treatment to very high supplying power for the TSP (Triple superphosphate). These findings are of practical value for the following reasons: TSP and KH2PO4 are recommended for quick and high P supply to plants; SSP and PAPR for moderate supply and finally PR for slow and low supply. Phosphorus efficiency should be treated with priority particularly for areas with intensive cropping and susceptibility to runoffs.  相似文献

Soil, crop, and fertilizer management practices may affect quality of organic carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) in soil. A long-term field experiment (growing barley, wheat, or canola)was conducted on a Black Chernozem (Albic Argicryoll) loam at Ellerslie, Alberta, Canada, to determine the influence of 19 years (1980 to 1998) of tillage [zero tillage (ZT) and conventional tillage (CT)], straw management [straw removed (SRem) and straw retained (SRet)], and N fertilizer rate (0, 50, and 100 kg N ha?1 in SRet and 0 kg N ha?1 in SRem plots) on macro-organic matter C (MOM-C) and N (MOM-N), microbial biomass C (MB-C), and mineralizable C (Cmin) and N (Nmin) in the 0- to 7.5-cm and 7.5- to 15-cm soil layers. Treatments with N fertilizer and SRet generally had a greater mass of MOM-C (by 201 kg C ha?1 with 100 kg N ha?1 rate and by 254 kg C ha?1 with SRet), MOM-N (by 12.4 kg N ha?1 with 100 kg N ha?1 rate and by 8.0 kg N ha?1 with SRet), Cmin(by 146 kg C ha?1 with 100 kg N ha?1 rate and by 44 kg C ha?1 with SRet), and Nmin(by 7.9 kg N ha?1 with 100 kg N ha?1 rate and by 9.0 kg N ha?1 with SRet)in soil than the corresponding zero-N and SRem treatments. Tillage, straw, and N fertilizer had no consistent effect on MB-C in soil. Correlations between these dynamic soil organic C or N fractions were strong and significant in most cases, except for MB-C, which had no significant correlation with MOM-C and MOM-N. Linear regressions between crop residue C input and mass of MOM-C, MOM-N, Cmin, and Nmin in soil were significant, but it was not significant for MB-C. The effects of management practices on dynamic soil organic C and N fractions were more pronounced in the 0- to 7.5-cm surface soil layer than in the 7.5- to 15-cm subsoil layer. In conclusion, the findings suggest that application of N fertilizer and retention of straw would improve soil quality by increasing macro-organic matter and N-supplying power of soil.  相似文献

Yield decline in yam may not only be due to soil nutrient depletion but also to the activity of soil microflora. Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis helps in plant nutrition but may be affected by the application of fertilizer. The effects of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizer rates on the AM colonization, leaf nutrient concentrations, and tuber yields of eleven genotypes of Dioscorea rotundata were investigated at Ibadan, Nigeria. The soil was ferric luvisol. Eleven genotypes were selected from the previously conducted screening of 75 genotypes of D. rotundata for fertilizer response. Four application rates: 0, 200, 400, and 600 kg ha?1 of NPK 15-15-15 were applied in a split plot design with four replications. Fertilizer rate was the main plot and variety was the sub plot. Percentage AM colonization was significantly reduced at 600 kg ha?1 but not at lower rates when compared to zero rate and it was negatively correlated with leaf N, P, and zinc (Zn) concentrations. Leaf N concentrations were significantly increased at 200 kg ha?1 in five genotypes and at 600 kg ha?1 in two genotypes compared to zero application. Leaf P and K concentrations were decreased with the application of fertilizer in most of the genotypes. The NPK fertilizer of 15-15-15 at the rate of 200–400 kg ha?1 gave yield response in eight genotypes of D. rotundata, with minimal or no effect on their AM colonization when compared to zero application. Long term study on the effect of fertilizer application on AM symbiosis in yam is recommended.  相似文献

To develop phosphorus-based agronomic application rates of phytase-diet, bisulfate-amended Delmarva poultry litter in conservation tillage systems, nutrient release dynamics of the organic fertilizer under local weather conditions were investigated. Delmarva poultry litter was placed in polyvinyl chloride columns to a depth of 5 cm and weathered in the field for 570 days. Leachate from the columns was collected and measured for concentrations of various nutrients. Cumulative release of the nutrients as a function of weathering time was modeled, and the nutrient supply capacity was determined. Poultry litter leachate contained high contents of dissolved organic carbon (15–31,500 mg L?1), nitrogen (N 5–7,070 mg L?1), phosphorus (P 5–230 mg L?1), potassium (K+ 2–7,140 mg L?1), and other nutrients. Release of most nutrients occurred principally in the first 100 days, but for P and calcium (Ca2+), it would last for years. The release kinetics of N followed a logarithm equation, while P and K demonstrated a sigmoidal logistic pattern. The nutrient supply capacity of surface-applied Delmarva poultry litter was predicted at 10.9 kg N Mg?1, 6.5 kg P Mg?1, 34.7 kg K+ Mg?1, 5.4 kg Ca2+ Mg?1, and 14.0 kg SO 4 2? Mg?1. The results suggest that Delmarva poultry litter should be applied to conservation tillage systems at 6.6 Mg ha?1 that would furnish 25 kg P ha?1 and 63 kg N ha?1 to seasonal crops. In repeated annual applications, the rate should be reduced to 5.2 Mg ha?1, with supplemental N fertilization to meet crop N requirements.  相似文献

A field experiment was conducted on an Alfisol (kandic paleustalf) in Abeokuta, Southwestern Nigeria, for two seasons to assess the influence of inorganic and organic fertilizers on nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), nutrient uptake and maize yield. The treatments consisted of three rates of organic fertilizer 0, 5 and 10 t ha?1 in the form of poultry manure and NPK fertilizer (20:10:10) applied at 0 and 120 kg ha?1. Maize (Zea mays) was used as the test crop. The results showed that the combined application of 10 t ha?1 poultry manure and 120 kg ha?1 NPK fertilizer enhanced the uptake of N, P and K better than other treatment combinations. Application of 10 t ha?1 poultry manure alone gave the highest grain yield, which was 67.02% higher than the control in the first season. Complementary application of 5 t ha?1 poultry manure with 120 kg ha?1 NPK 20–10-10 was recommended for grain yield.  相似文献

At present, reports of the effect of lanthanum on nitrogen cycling in the soil are very detailed, but information on carbon (C) and phosphorus (P) cycling is less reported. We present an investigation into the effects of lanthanum on the pH, microbial biomass C and P and enzyme activities (such as that of β-glucosidase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, acid phosphomonoesterase, phosphodiesterase and phosphotriesterase) in soil in an indoor culture experiment. The results show that the application of lanthanum decreased the pH and had an inhibitory effect on microbial biomass C and P throughout the experiment. The application of lanthanum significantly inhibited most of enzyme activities at the 14th day of the experiment. However, soil samples treated with 100 mg kg?1 of lanthanum significantly stimulated the activity of polyphenol oxidase at the 14th day, and the range 100–300 mg kg?1 stimulated the activities during the 28th day to the 56th day. From the 42nd to the 56th day, the pH and all enzyme activities gradually increased. We inferred that the lanthanum had different effects on microbial biomass C and P and enzymes. We recommended that the amount of the rare earth element applied in a tea garden should be lower than 100 mg kg?1.  相似文献

To compare the growth performance of Brassica in a phosphorus (P) stress environment and response to added P, six Brassica cultivars were grown in pots for 49 days after sowing, using a soil low in P [sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3)–extractable P = 3.97 mg kg?1, Mehlich III–extractable P = 6.13 mg kg?1] with (+P = 60 mg P kg?1 soil) or without P addition (0P). Phosphorus‐stress markedly reduced biomass accumulation and P uptake by roots and shoots. However, root–shoot ratio remained unaffected, implying that relative partitioning of biomass into roots and shoots had little role to play in shoot dry matter (SDM) production by cultivars. Biomass correlated significantly (P < 0.01) with total P uptake. Under P stress, the cultivars that produced greater root biomass were able to accumulate more total P content (r = 0.95**), which in turn was related positively to SDM and total biomass (r > 0.89**) and negatively to P‐stress factor (r = ?0.91**). There was no correlation between P efficiency (PE) (relative shoot growth) and plant P, but PE showed a very significant correlation with shoot P content and SDM. Wide differences in growth and better performance of cultivars such as ‘Brown Raya’ and ‘Con‐1’ under P stress encouraged screening of more germplasm, especially in the field, to identify P‐tolerant cultivars.

In another study, potential relative agronomic effectiveness (RAE) of sparingly soluble P sources was investigated by growing two contrasting cultivars. The P sources incorporated into soil at 0, 10, 25, 50, and 100 mg P Kg?1 were (i) powdered Jordan rock P (RP), (ii) triple superphosphate (TSP), (iii) powdered low‐grade TSP [TSP(PLG)], (iv) a mixture of RP + TSP compacted into pellets at 50:50 P ratio [RP + TSP(PelC)], and (v) a mixture of powdered RP + TSP at 50:50 P ratio [RP + TSP(PM)]. The RP was low in RAE and only 5 and 29% as effective as TSP in producing dry matter (DM) of P‐sensitive ‘B.S.A.’ and P‐tolerant ‘Brown Raya’ cultivars, respectively. There were no significant differences between TSP and RP + TSP(PelC) in DM yield of ‘Brown Raya,’ whereas, in the case of ‘B.S.A.’ RP + TSP(PM) was significantly less effective than RP + TSP(PelC) compared with TSP. Combined utilization of superior genome and P sources [such as TSP(PLG) and RP + TSP(PelC)] produced from low‐grade RP (that cannot be used either for direct application or acidulated P fertilizers) can be used as an alternative strategy for sustainable crop production, especially in resource‐poor environments. Further field trials at the level of cropping systems are needed.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to study the response of maize to magnesium (Mg) and to find out the residual effect of Mg and green manure (GM) on transplanted aman (T. aman) rice in the maize–GM–T. aman cropping pattern. There were six treatments: T1 (recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) + 0 kg Mg + 2 t CaCO3 ha?1), T2 (RDF + 10 kg Mg + 2 t CaCO3 ha?1), T3 (RDF + 20 kg Mg +2 t CaCO3 ha?1), T4 (RDF + 30 kg Mg + 2 t CaCO3 ha?1), T5 (RDF) and T6 (2 t CaCO3 ha?1). The response of maize to Mg was quadratic and the optimum dose of Mg was found to be 19 kg ha?1, which resulted in maximum yield of 10,507 kg ha?1. The residual effect of Mg along with GM and reduced dose of chemical fertilizer resulted in significant increase of grain yield of rice. Thus, N250P60K100Mg19S40Zn5B2 kg ha?1 for maize, only 20 kg N ha?1 for GM (Sesbania) and N60P9K33S10Zn1B1 kg ha?1 for T. aman appeared as the best combination for maximizing the productivity and may be recommended for this pattern at non-calcareous light-textured soils of Bangladesh. Application of lime increased soil pH, and this together with fertilizer and GM tended to improve soil fertility and thus may be recommended for soil amelioration.  相似文献

Abstract

The experiment was conducted at Kulumsa, South East Ethiopia, using four levels of nitrogen (N) (0, 50,100 and 150?kg N ha?1) and four levels of phosphorus (P) (0, 35, 70 and 105?kg P2O5 ha?1) fertilizers arranged in 4?×?4 factorial arrangements in randomized complete block design with three replications. The available P was increased after harvest due to the application of N and P fertilizer at the rates of 100 or 150?kg N ha?1 and 70 or 105?kg P2O5 ha?1. More specifically, nutrients concentration and nutrient uptake were significantly (p?<?.01) varied among treatment combinations and nutrient use efficiency was declined by increasing N and P after optimum rates. The higher physiological efficiency of N (53.47?kg kg?1) and P (580.41?kg kg?1) and the highest apparent recovery of N (19.62%) and P (2.47%) was recorded from application of 50?kg N ha?1 and P at 70?kg P2O5 ha?1 and the highest agronomic efficiency of N (10.78?kg kg?1) and P (15.25?kg kg?1) was recorded from N at the rate of 50?kg N ha?1 and P at 35?kg P2O5 ha?1, respectively. The combination of N at 100?kg N ha?1 and P at 70?kg P2O5 ha?1 was promising combination that generated highest net benefit 488,878.5 ETB (Ethiopian birr) ha?1 with the highest marginal rate of return (36638%) and gave the highest seed yield (1858.82?kg ha?1) with yield increment of about 57.72% over the control.  相似文献

Effect of differential P fertilizer application over a period of 40 years in a long-term field experiment on a Phaeozem near Halle, Germany P fertilizer in three forms was applied at 0 (P0), 15 (P1) and 45 (P3) kg ha?1 P per annum to a relation lucerne — lucerne — potatoes — winter rye — sugar beet — spring barley. The experiment was laid down in 1949 near Halle on Phaeozem soil containing 57 mg total P and 8.5 mg DL-P per 100 g soil (0–20 cm) and with pH 6.0 (0.1 M KCl). Small differences between treatments were first observed only after 20 years. Since then the effects of treatment increased but even after the 7th cycle (1982–1987) the maximum effect was <8 cereal units (CU) per ha. The crops most responsive to P were: lucerne (in the year of sowing), potatoes and sugar beet. Over the period 1977–1988, annual P removal exceeded P input by 23 and 9 kg ha?1 P for treatments P0 and P1 respectively; on treatment P3, P input exceeded removal by 19 kg ha?1 per annum. DL-P on treatment P0 in 1979 was 3.5–4.0 mg per 100 g, insufficient to support high yields. A level of 5–6 mg DL-P per 100 g soil, as found in treatment P1 is required for sustainable high yield. Change in total soil P content corresponded with the P balance (input — withdrawal) only on treatment P3. The lack of correspondence on treatments P0 and P1 suggests that crops obtained much of their P requirement from subsoil.  相似文献

In the present study, seven fertilizer treatments [T1, 50% NPK; T2, 100% NPK (Recommended dose of fertilizer, 200–65.4–124.5 kg N-P-K ha?1); T3, 150% NPK; T4, 100% PK; T5, 100% NK; T6, 100% NP and T7, control (zero NPK)] with four replications were assessed in the new alluvial soil zone (Entisols) of West Bengal, India. The objectives of the study were to generate information on potato productivity, profitability, indigenous nutrient supply and net gain/loss of NPK in post-harvest soil. Plants grown under higher NPK supply resulted in higher tuber yield and there were significant (p ≤ 0.05) reductions in total yield with nutrient omissions. Nutrient?limited yields were 19.78, 2.83 and 1.77 t ha?1 for N, P and K, considering total tuber yield (28.24 t ha?1) obtained under 100% NPK as targeted yield. Indigenous nutrient supply of N, P and K were estimated at 24.1, 22.34 and 110.22 kg ha?1, respectively that indicates higher K?supplying capacity of experimental soil as compared to N and P. Net income (US$1349 ha?1 year?1) and B:C ratio (1.91) was highest with 100% NPK, and further addition of NPK (150%) resulted in decrease on net return (US$1193 ha?1 year?1) and B:C ratio (1.73).  相似文献

Maize yield is often limited by zinc (Zn) deficiency. The objectives of this study were to (i) evaluate maize yield response to Zn applied at four different rates, (ii) evaluate the yield response and agronomic efficiency of maize to the application of a complex fertilizer, MicroEssentials SZ (12N–40P–0K–10S–1Zn), compared to different rates of monoammonium phosphate (MAP) + ammonium sulfate (AS) + zinc sulfate (ZnSO4), and (iii) evaluate the association between tissue Zn concentration and soil-test Zn with the maize response to Zn fertilizer. Eleven experiments were carried out during the 2010, 2011, and 2012 growing seasons throughout eight states in the USA. Treatments consisted of four Zn rates of a physical blend of MAP + AS + ZnSO4 (0, 2.24, 4.48, 6.72, and 11.2 kg/ha Zn) and MicroEssentials SZ at a Zn rate of 2.24 kg/ha Zn. Nitrogen, phosphorus (P), and sulfur (S) rates were balanced across treatments (40 kg/ha P, 22 kg/ha S) and fertilizers were broadcast and incorporated immediately prior to planting. Treatment and location main effects were significant (P < 0.001) on corn yields, whereas the interaction treatment × location was not (P = 0.33). Maize responded positively to Zn fertilization; average yields across locations increased from 10,540 kg ha?1 without Zn to 11,530 kg ha?1 with 11.21 kg Zn ha?1 applied as a physical blend. The yield response and Zn agronomic efficiency of maize with the application of the complex fertilizer at a rate of 2.24 kg Zn ha?1 averaged 1004 kg ha?1 and 448 kg maize kg Zn?1, respectively, significantly higher (P < 0.1) than the yield response and Zn agronomic efficiency with the application of a physical blend with the same Zn rate, which averaged 293 kg ha?1 and 131 kg maize kg Zn?1, respectively. The Zn concentration in plant tissue of unfertilized plots varied greatly and was not related to the maize response to Zn fertilizer (r = 0.01; P = 0.98). With respect to soil Zn, a negative but nonsignificant relationship was found between maize response to Zn fertilizer and soil-test Zn (r = ?0.51; P = 0.16).  相似文献
