Adult body size and fecundity of a number of hemimetabolous aquatic insects depend largely on thermal conditions during the larval period. Small adults and reduced fecundity result when temperatures are either warmed or cooled with respect to more optimal thermal conditions. Temperature apparently affects adult size by altering the larval growth rate and the timing and rate of adult tissue development for each larva. The data suggest a new interpretation for the geographic distribution of aquatic insects.  相似文献

菜喜和集琦虫螨克对小菜蛾生产发育、存活和生殖的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
在室内测定了抗生素杀虫剂菜喜和集琦虫螨克对小菜蛾卵及幼早生长发育,成虫存活及生殖的影响,结果表明,这两种药剂对小菜峨卵的孵化率没有影响,但能大大降低初孵幼虫的存活率,对幼虫的生物活性,均随虫龄的增加面下降,且集琦虫螨克的活性远比菜喜高,菜喜对小菜蛾4龄幼虫化蛹率有显著降低作用,但对肾的羽化率,雌成虫寿命及产卵量却没有明显影响;而集琦虫螨克则对4龄幼虫的化蛹率、蛹羽化率及羽化后成虫的产卵量均有显著的降低作用,用菜喜和集琦虫螨克的田间推荐浓度药液饲喂小菜蛾成虫,均能显著减少雌成虫的产卵量,但对雌雄成虫的寿命影响不大。  相似文献

Aging is genetically determined and environmentally modulated. In a study of longevity in the adult fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, we found that five independent P-element insertional mutations in a single gene resulted in a near doubling of the average adult life-span without a decline in fertility or physical activity. Sequence analysis revealed that the product of this gene, named Indy (for I'm not dead yet), is most closely related to a mammalian sodium dicarboxylate cotransporter-a membrane protein that transports Krebs cycle intermediates. Indy was most abundantly expressed in the fat body, midgut, and oenocytes: the principal sites of intermediary metabolism in the fly. Excision of the P element resulted in a reversion to normal life-span. These mutations may create a metabolic state that mimics caloric restriction, which has been shown to extend life-span.  相似文献

To explore the role of mitochondrial activity in the aging process, we have lowered the activity of the electron transport chain and adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) synthase with RNA interference (RNAi) in Caenorhabditis elegans. These perturbations reduced body size and behavioral rates and extended adult life-span. Restoring messenger RNA to near-normal levels during adulthood did not elevate ATP levels and did not correct any of these phenotypes. Conversely, inhibiting respiratory-chain components during adulthood only did not reset behavioral rates and did not affect life-span. Thus, the developing animal appears to contain a regulatory system that monitors mitochondrial activity early in life and, in response, establishes rates of respiration, behavior, and aging that persist during adulthood.  相似文献

The Drosophila melanogaster gene insulin-like receptor (InR) is homologous to mammalian insulin receptors as well as to Caenorhabditis elegans daf-2, a signal transducer regulating worm dauer formation and adult longevity. We describe a heteroallelic, hypomorphic genotype of mutant InR, which yields dwarf females with up to an 85% extension of adult longevity and dwarf males with reduced late age-specific mortality. Treatment of the long-lived InR dwarfs with a juvenile hormone analog restores life expectancy toward that of wild-type controls. We conclude that juvenile hormone deficiency, which results from InR signal pathway mutation, is sufficient to extend life-span, and that in flies, insulin-like ligands nonautonomously mediate aging through retardation of growth or activation of specific endocrine tissue.  相似文献

用不同时间的紫外线辐照(5,15,30min)处理羽化后8h雄果蝇,分别测定雄蝇寿命和繁殖力,再将雄果蝇与同期收集的未经辐照处女果蝇进行交配,统计其后代的畸形个体数量。结果表明,辐照处理后,各处理组果蝇的平均寿命、最高寿命及半数死亡时间均显著缩短(P<0.05),但各辐射组之间的寿命变化差异不显著。各辐照组与对照组相比,后代成虫数显著减少(P<0.05),各辐照组之间差异显著(P<0.05)。辐照组的F1代出现少量畸形个体。  相似文献

本研究测量了兴凯刺鳑鲏成体的体长、体高、头高、头长、头宽、吻长、眼径、眼间距、眼后头长、尾柄长、尾柄高、尾鳍长、背鳍基前距、背鳍基长、腹鳍基前距、腹鳍臀鳍间距和体重等17个形态学指标以及雌体的怀卵数量。结果显示,兴凯刺鳑鲏雌性个体和雄性个体体长差异不显著,特定体长的雌性个体的头长、眼后头长、眼径、尾鳍长和背鳍基长显著小于雄性个体,而体高、尾柄长、腹鳍基前距、腹鳍臀鳍间距和体重显著大于雄性个体。两性间其它局部特征不存在显著的差异。多元回归分析表明,兴凯刺鳑鲏的怀卵数量与体重和体高呈显著的正相关。雌性主要通过个体体重的增长以及腹腔体积(体高)的增加来提高个体生育力,增加繁殖输出。性选择、生育力选择、生态环境和食物营养状况影响兴凯刺鳑鲏两性异形的进化。  相似文献

The Drosophila melanogaster gene chico encodes an insulin receptor substrate that functions in an insulin/insulin-like growth factor (IGF) signaling pathway. In the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, insulin/IGF signaling regulates adult longevity. We found that mutation of chico extends fruit fly median life-span by up to 48% in homozygotes and 36% in heterozygotes. Extension of life-span was not a result of impaired oogenesis in chico females, nor was it consistently correlated with increased stress resistance. The dwarf phenotype of chico homozygotes was also unnecessary for extension of life-span. The role of insulin/IGF signaling in regulating animal aging is therefore evolutionarily conserved.  相似文献

[目的]明确暗黑鳃金龟成虫产卵量的影响因素,为人工饲养暗黑鳃金龟提供参考。[方法]采用不同食物、不同性比、不同饲养密度、不同土壤类型以及不同根际土等条件处理暗黑鳃金龟成虫,研究其对暗黑鳃金龟成虫产卵量的影响。[结果]喂食榆树叶成虫的产卵量最高,喂食槐树叶成虫的产卵量最低;不同性比条件下,雌虫的比例大产卵量高,雌雄比例为3∶1时产卵量最高,雌雄比例为1∶1时最早达到产卵高峰期;不同密度下,暗黑鳃金龟成虫单位面积产卵量随成虫数量增加而增大,但单雌产卵量随密度增大而降低;单箱饲养密度在200头左右最佳;黏土为最适宜成虫产卵的土壤环境;成虫在种植小麦的根际土中的产卵量最高。[结论]在暗黑鳃金龟的室内人工饲养中,暗黑鳃金龟成虫的产卵量受食物、性比、饲养密度、土壤等多种因素的影响。  相似文献

高温胁迫对柑橘全爪螨存活及生殖的影响   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
【目的】研究高温胁迫对柑橘全爪螨(Panonychus citri)存活及生殖的影响,揭示该螨在高温条件下的种群动态规律。【方法】柑橘全爪螨采自中国农业科学院柑橘研究所,在人工气候室饲养10代后用于试验,饲养条件为温度(25±1)℃,相对湿度75%-80%,光周期14 h﹕10 h(L﹕D),寄主植物为盆栽柑橘苗。挑取雌成螨于离体柑橘叶片上,让其产卵12 h,然后移除雌成螨,收集的卵继续饲养至后若螨时,采用叶蝶法单头饲养到成螨。将雌成螨单头分别置于32、35、38及41℃恒温培养箱中热激一定时间,然后再放回上述人工气候室条件下,每个叶碟上再放1头雄成螨,每个处理至少设30个重复,以25℃为对照。每24 h观察、计数产卵情况,直至雌成螨死亡,测定高温及作用时间对柑橘全爪螨雌成螨寿命及生殖的影响。利用SPSS 10.0对数据进行单因素方差分析(one-way ANOVA),平均数的多重比较采用Duncan multiple range test(DMRT,P<0.05)。【结果】高温35及41℃分别胁迫柑橘全爪螨雌成螨1 h,其寿命显著缩短至10.1及8.2 d(P<0.001)。且随胁迫时间延长,影响加剧。38℃胁迫雌成螨3 h,其寿命显著缩短至9.6 d(P<0.01);41℃胁迫雌成螨3 h,其寿命显著缩短至5.0 d(P<0.001)。高温胁迫对雌成螨的生殖力也有明显影响,32、35、38及41℃分别胁迫雌成螨1 h,每雌产卵量显著下降为38.4、37.5、43.5和40.2粒(P<0.05);随着胁迫时间的延长,产卵量继续下降,38℃胁迫雌成螨3 h,产卵量为23.1粒(P<0.001),41℃胁迫雌成螨3 h,产卵量显著下降至7.8粒(P<0.001)。雌成螨分别在32、35、38及41℃下胁迫1 h,特定年龄存活率(lx)曲线均出现“平台期”,但38及41℃分别胁迫雌成螨3 h,lx曲线“平台期”消失;且随着温度升高及胁迫时间的延长,lx曲线坡度变陡。特定年龄生殖力(mx)曲线显示,高温胁迫促使产卵高峰期提前,mx下降;高温38及41℃分别胁迫雌成螨3 h,mx下降尤为明显。【结论】高温胁迫下,柑橘全爪螨雌成螨寿命缩短、lx下降、产卵数量减少及mx下降,且随着胁迫温度的升高和胁迫时间的延长,影响程度加剧,短时高温对雌成螨的存活和生殖有不利影响。夏季高温条件对柑橘全爪螨种群具有明显的抑制作用。  相似文献

为了研究光周期和高脂食物对小型哺乳动物能量代谢和产热的影响,将成年雌性高山姬鼠分别驯化于长光照低脂、高脂食物和短光照低脂、高脂食物条件下,7周后测定动物的体重、能量摄入、产热、身体组成、血清瘦素浓度以及体脂含量等参数。结果发现:1)短光照抑制体重增长,降低血清瘦素浓度,增加非颤抖性产热;2)高脂食物使摄入能减少,消化率和体脂含量提高,但未显著影响体重、基础代谢率、非颤抖性产热和血清瘦素浓度;3)血清瘦素浓度与摄入能不相关,但与体脂重量正相关。结果暗示:短光照下瘦素作用敏感性增加和产热能力增强,可能介导了抵抗高脂食物诱导的肥胖。在野外条件下,高山姬鼠能通过能量代谢和产热的适应性调节避免体重的过度增长,有利于降低捕食风险,增强生存能力。  相似文献

实验研究了3种补充营养材料对洋虫生殖力的影响。结果表明:3种补充营养材料对洋虫产卵前期、卵期、产卵量、雌虫寿命的影响存在显著差异.其中,用全麦粉作为洋虫成虫的饲料,可以缩短成虫的产卵前期,增加产卵量,产卵前期平均为6.50d,平均产卵量为78.70粒。所以,就繁殖种群而言,在洋虫羽化后饲喂全麦粉有利于种群获得更大的产卵量,更有利于种群的繁殖.  相似文献

研究了瓯江彩鲤(Cyprinus carpio var.color)体重和形态特征等19个参数的两性异形及雌性个体生育力.结果表明:除特定体长1龄雌性个体的体高和体重显著小于雄性个体外,其它17个性状不存在显著的雌雄两性异型.在2龄鱼中,雌性个体的头长、头宽、头高、眼后头长、眼间距、尾鳍长、体重和躯干重显著大于雄性个体,而体高却显著小于雄性个体,其它性状也不存在显著的雌雄两性异型;对这9个差异显著的形态特征变量进行主成分分析发现,第一和第二主成分共解释67.6%的变异,体高、体重和躯干重在第一主成分有较高的正负载系数(解释42.9%变异),头宽和眼间距在第二主成分有较高的正负载系数(解释24.7%变异).以年龄、性别为固定效应的两因素方差分析(Two-way ANOVA)显示,1龄鱼第一主成分的分值显著小于2龄鱼,雌性第二主成分的分值显著大于雄性,其它主成分的年龄、性别间无显著差异,两因素交互作片{对第一、第二主成分的分值亦无显著影响.雌性个体的生育力结果表明,瓯江彩鲤的怀卵数量与体长和体重回归关系显著.偏相关分析表明,雌性怀卵数量与体重呈显著的正相关(P<0.004),而与体长的相关不显著(P=0.502).生育力选择是瓯江彩鲤个体大小和局部特征两性异形的主要原因之一.  相似文献

Caloric restriction has been shown to increase longevity in organisms ranging from yeast to mammals. In some organisms, this has been associated with a decreased fat mass and alterations in insulin/insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) pathways. To further explore these associations with enhanced longevity, we studied mice with a fat-specific insulin receptor knockout (FIRKO). These animals have reduced fat mass and are protected against age-related obesity and its subsequent metabolic abnormalities, although their food intake is normal. Both male and female FIRKO mice were found to have an increase in mean life-span of approximately 134 days (18%), with parallel increases in median and maximum life-spans. Thus, a reduction of fat mass without caloric restriction can be associated with increased longevity in mice, possibly through effects on insulin signaling.  相似文献

测定了Q型烟粉虱(Bemisia tabaci)在3个不同品系的抗刺吸式口器害虫转基因棉花与其亲本棉花品种上的体型差异、发育历期、成活率、成虫寿命、产卵量和生命参数,以分析不同抗刺吸式转基因棉花品系对Q型烟粉虱的抗虫效果.结果表明,Q型烟粉虱的体型、发育历期、存活率以及成虫寿命等多个生长发育参数在转基因棉花品系与对应亲本间无显著差异;但Q型烟粉虱在转基因棉品系上的产卵量和种群净增值率明显低于其对应亲本棉,种群加倍时间高于其亲本棉,表明检测的3个转基因抗虫棉品系都对Q型烟粉虱有抗性.烟粉虱成虫单雌产卵量、种群净增值率和种群加倍时间等3个生命参数指标为评价其它抗刺吸式口器转基因棉花对Q型烟粉虱的抗虫效果提供参考指标.  相似文献

用含有桔梗水提取物的高脂肪饲料饲喂小鼠,结果表明:含5%桔梗水提取物的高脂肪饲料与对照组比较,小鼠体重和子宫周匀明显下降;同时肝脏中三酰基甘油的水平也有所降低。研究认为:桔梗总皂苷能抑制胰脂肪酶活性,可以使胰脂肪酶的活性抑制在41.7%水平上;桔梗皂苷D、桔梗皂苷A和桔梗皂苷C可分别使其活性抑制在34.8%、3.3%和5.2%的水平上。而菊糖对胰脂肪酶活性没有抑制作用,也不能抑制高脂肪饲料引起的小鼠肥胖和脂肪肝。因此,桔梗抗肥胖作用可能是由于桔梗皂苷类成分抑制胰脂肪酶活性,从而抑制对食物脂肪的吸收。  相似文献

研究了环境污染物汞离子(Hg2+)和葡萄糖对野生型果蝇寿命和生育力的影响。将果蝇随机分为5组,分别饲喂含不同浓度的Hg2+的培养基,并加10﹪葡萄糖处理,计算果蝇平均寿命,子代数量。结果显示随着Hg2+浓度的增加,雌雄果蝇的平均寿命逐渐缩短,子代减少,而10﹪葡萄糖对汞的毒害存在一定的拮抗效应,即对于汞中毒有一定的缓冲作用,故在紧急状况下可以用于无机汞中毒的治疗。  相似文献

[目的]研究随机限食条件下KM小鼠的代谢产热,深入理解能量代谢和产热在动物适应限食应激中的作用和意义。[方法]成年KM小鼠随机限食4 d周/,共驯化4周,采用封闭式流体压力呼吸计测定基础代谢(BMR)和非颤抖性产热(NST)。[结果]对照组动物体重增长了15.1%,而限食组降低了5.3%,限食组显著低于对照组(P〈0.01) 随机限制显著增加了摄食量,摄食量最大值为(11.94±0.52)g/d,比对照组高132.8%(P〈0.001) 限食使BMR(P〈0.05)和NST(P〈0.05)显著降低 随机限食使胴体重显著降低(P〈0.01),但未影响脂肪重量和含量(P〉0.05)。[结论]动物能通过能量摄入和支出的权衡策略适应随机限食的应激环境,代谢和产热的适应性调节在能量代谢的权衡策略中发挥重要作用。  相似文献
