Serum biochemical values and the wet weight to dry weight ratios of tissues were determined in yaks in Shandan county of Gansu province. The liver, kidney, heart and muscle contents of seven elements in yaks were also analysed. Most serum biochemical values were similar to those of cattle, camels and sheep, but the calcium concentration was considerably above the normal range for other ruminants. The liver contained the highest concentrations of copper, manganese and cobalt and the kidney of selenium, iron and calcium.Abbreviations Alb

Thyroid hormones might be able to regulate the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase and glutathione peroxidase
(GPX). The role of thyroid hormones in metabolic pathways and antioxidant enzyme activities are well known in many species.
Nevertheless, there is no report describing probable relationship between thyroid hormones status, erythrocyte antioxidant
enzymes and serum profiles of trace elements. This study was undertaken to investigate the relationship between these parameters
in Iranian dromedary camels. Blood samples were taken from the jugular vein of 30 clinically healthy Iranian dromedary camels
under aseptic conditions during 6 consecutive days of summer. The serum was analyzed for serum profile of thyroid hormones,
trace elements, SOD and GPX activity. There were no significant differences in serum thyroid hormones, serum level of zinc
(Zn), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), selenium and antioxidant enzymes in different days (P > 0.05). There was a significant
negative correlation between SOD and Fe (P < 0.01, r = -493). There was no significant correlation between other parameters.
In case of copper deficiency likewise the present study, the copper was used to produce more SOD, so there was a decrease
in Fe transportation, and it might be a cause of decrease in Fe amount. On the other hand, a relatively small quantity of
Fe is present in tissue myoglobin, catalase, peroxidases, and cytochromes. So it might be another cause of decrease in Fe
amount. The explanation for these finding is not possible at this moment and further investigations are needed to interpret

日粮不同锌水平对法国鹌鹑生长发育及组织中微量元素含量的影响 总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
用2周龄健康法国鹌鹑324只,按体重随机分为9组,每组设3个重复,试验采用玉米-豆饼型基础日粮(含锌26.7ppm),在此基础上,添加9个梯度水平(ppm)的锌(0,25,50,75,100,500,1000,1500,2000),进行为期3周的饲养试验.试验期末,进行血液生化指标测定和组织器官微量元素含量分析.试验结果表明,法国鹌鹑日粮中以添加50ppm和75ppm锌为宜,对增重、采食量和饲料效率均有一定作用.1000ppm锌为最大耐受量,1500ppm锌为其中毒量;在一定锌水平范围内,血清总蛋白和球蛋白含量、碱性磷酸酶(SAP)活性均随日粮锌水平的提高而显著提高(P<0.05),当锌添加量为500ppm时,其达最大值,随后呈降低趋势.血清白蛋白含量不受日粮锌水平的影响.锌与其它微量元素之间的关系依不同组织器官而异,缺乏规律性.日粮补饲锌能显著降低肝脏中铁、铜、锰和肾脏中铁的含量,提高骨骼.血清中锰及肾脏中铜的含量. 相似文献

Status of certain oxidative stress indices and zinc, copper and iron concentrations in blood were estimated in camel with liver cystic echinococcosis. In comparison to healthy control, the index of serum lipid peroxidation assessed by the malondialdehyde (MDA) level was significantly higher in the parasitized group. However, mean serum total antioxidant status (TAS) and erythrocyte glutathione peroxidase (GPx) were significantly lower in the parasitized group. Serum zinc concentration in camels with liver cystic echinococcosis was significantly lower than healthy control. In parasitized camels, a significant positive correlation of MDA with gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and bilirubin was observed. By contrast, MDA was inversely correlated with the values of packed cell volume (PCV), serum albumin and zinc. From the present study, it was concluded that cystic echinococcosis in camel is associated with oxidative stress. The resulting oxidative stress seems to have a role in the injury of hepatocytes, changes of trace elements and destruction of erythrocytes. 相似文献

Epidemiological studies have indicated incidences of 32.9% and 27.8% for rickets and osteomalacia, respectively, in Bactrian camels (Camelus bactrianus), but there is an increased incidence under drought conditions, sometimes reaching 75%. We have found that concentrations of phosphorus and copper in forage and soil samples in a drought affected area were significantly lower than in a control area or normal reference values (P < 0.01) ; the mean Ca:P ratio in the forages was 50:1. The phosphorus content of blood and hair from affected camels was significantly less than that in controls (P < 0.01) and concentrations of copper in the liver and kidney were significantly lower in affected camels than control animals (P < 0.01); the concentrations of triiodothyronine (T(3)), thyroxine (T(4)) and parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the serum from affected animals were significantly higher than those from healthy controls (P < 0.01); serum inorganic phosphorus and ceruloplasmin levels were lower than those in the controls (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05); the concentrations of serum alpha-globulin and beta-globulin were significantly higher in the affected camels than in the healthy controls (P < 0.01). The pathological changes seen in camels affected with rickets included porous, brittle, light, osteoporotic bones that were susceptible to fractures and had less resistance to cutting and sawing. Wrist joints were enlarged with an apparent bowing of the long bones in forelimb and with typical broadening of the epiphyses. In adult female camels, many enlarged scars were often seen in ribs indicating earlier fractures. The disease could be cured with supplementary bone meal, phosphate or mineral mixtures and in field investigations clinical signs disappeared within 15 days. Over the same period, the concentrations of phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase in blood returned to normal. The disease may be effectively prevented by use of mineral blocks (block salt licks) or dosing orally with copper, selenium and cobalt soluble glass boluses. We conclude that rickets and osteomalacia are mainly caused by phosphorus and copper deficiencies in the pasture. 相似文献

Renal lesions were produced in three out of 10 sheep dosed with large quantities of zinc for two to 14 weeks. Administration of the zinc resulted in significant increases in the concentrations of zinc in the kidneys, liver and pancreas, and of copper and iron in the kidneys and pancreas, and a significant decrease in the concentration of manganese in the pancreas. The sheep with kidney damage had increased plasma creatinine concentrations and significantly higher mean concentrations of zinc in their livers and pancreases, and of copper and iron in their kidneys, than the sheep with no kidney damage. 相似文献

选择3~4月龄犊牛、后备母牛和成年母牛(产奶后期、产前及产后1月内).测定了血清Se、Cu、Zn、Mn、Fe含量厦谷胱甘肤过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性和丙二醛(MDA)含量.结果表明,除Zn含量外,所测元素含量犊牛明显低于后备母牛和成年牛(P<0.05或P<0.01),后备母牛和成年牛之闻差异不显著(P>0.05),血清Se含量在产奶后期和产前明显下降(P<0.05),血清Cu、Mn含量在产后1月内有降低的趋势,但与产前相比均差异不显著(P>0.05);所测血清氧化状态指标与年龄无明显关系,在妊娠末期和泌乳早期发生改变,血清CAT、GSH-Px、SOD活性和MDA含量在产前和产后1月内最高.表明犊牛上述所测指标最低,奶牛产前和泌乳早期血清微量元素含量和氧化状态失衡. 相似文献

Haematological and serum biochemical constituents as well as the liver mineral concentrations can be affected by Fasciola hepatica. The present study compares the blood and liver constituents in 19 fallow deer with fascioliosis and in 43 without it. Blood samples, gastro-intestinal tract, lungs and liver were taken from 62 male and female fallow deer that were shot, aged 6 months and over, in enclosures, between 1999 and 2001 in Slovenia. Samples were analysed and the means of various parameters of blood and liver were determined. Significant differences in blood were found in the mean cell volume, total serum proteins, sodium, and calcium; and in liver and calcium and copper were higher in animals without fascioliosis. Mean cell haemoglobin concentration, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, alanine aminotransferase, urea, glucose and copper in blood were significantly higher in animals with fascioliosis. It has been concluded that some of the values in fallow deer like in other domestic ruminants are the sensitive indicators of liver cell damage in fascioliosis. 相似文献

Rumen ciliate species and composition were surveyed on the native sheep, Friesian-cattle and dromedary (one-humped) camels kept in Libya. As a result of survey, 5 genera including 14 species with 5 formae in native sheep, 9 genera including 27 species with 6 formae in Friesian-cattle and 6 genera including 13 species and 7 formae in dromedary camels were identified. All of the ciliate species and their percentage composition detected from the Libyan sheep and cattle in this examination were similar to those found from corresponding animals in the other countries. Libyan camels lacked some peculiar ciliate species found from camels in the other countries, but had many cosmopolitan species common with those in the domestic ruminants, suggesting that ciliate faunae of camel are easily affected by the other domestic ruminants kept together. The ciliate density was estimated as 105/ml in every host species. 相似文献

Instrumental neutron activation analysis was employed to determine the levels of certain trace elements in the hair of newborn piglets and their dams. The mean concentrations (mumoles/mg) of copper, zinc, manganese and selenium in the neonatal piglet hair samples were 222 +/- 55, 4940 +/- 1728, 12.7 +/- 17.1 and 8.9 +/- 5.5, respectively, and in sow hair samples the mean concentrations (mumoles/mg) were 156 +/- 22, 5124 +/- 1927, 31.7 +/- 22.2 and 6.5 +/- 3.7, respectively. The mean copper level was higher (p less than 0.05) in piglet hair compared with sow hair. However the mean concentration of manganese was lower (p less than 0.05) in piglet hair. There was no relationship between the trace mineral levels found in the piglets' hair and the dams' hair. The levels of copper, zinc, manganese and selenium found in piglet hair were shown to be unrelated to the piglet body weight. The feasibility of using porcine hair as a practical biopsy material for trace element analysis is discussed. 相似文献

戈壁草原蒙古羊春季羔羊铜缺乏症的研究 《畜牧与饲料科学》2022,43(2):46-50
[目的] 确定内蒙古苏尼特左旗北部地区春季发生的戈壁草原蒙古羊羔羊发病、死亡现象的主要原因。[方法] 选取3户羔羊发病情况最为严重的牧户采样,每户各采集5只发病羔羊的血液样本、放牧草场的饮用水样本,以及羔羊所处环境中3种主要牧草(红砂、珍珠猪毛菜和盐爪爪)样本和土壤样本,同时采集当地种羊场15只相同品种健康羔羊的样本作为对照,测定上述样本中的10种矿物质元素(钙、磷、铁、锰、铜、锌、镁、钼、硒、钴)的含量。[结果] 发病羔羊血液中铜和镁的含量显著(P<0.05)低于同品种健康羔羊,钼的含量显著(P<0.05)高于同品种健康羔羊,其他矿物质元素的含量差异不显著(P>0.05)。发病羔羊所处环境中饮用水的镁和钙含量较高。发病羔羊所处环境中红砂的钼、铁、锰和硒含量均高于文献报道值,其他矿物质元素含量均处于正常范围;盐爪爪的钼、铁、锰、硒、镁和钴的含量高于文献报道值,其他矿物质元素含量均处于正常范围;珍珠猪毛菜、红砂和盐爪爪的铜钼比分别为15.96∶1、0.23∶1和2.34∶1。发病羔羊所处环境中土壤样本的铜、铁、锰、硒、钴含量均低于文献报道值,镁、钙和磷含量均高于文献报道值,钼和锌含量在正常范围内。[结论] 该地区戈壁草原蒙古羊羔羊发病、死亡的原因主要是放牧羊摄入铜不足、钼超标、铁和锰等矿物质元素摄入量过多,导致羔羊对铜的吸收发生障碍,最终引起继发性铜缺乏症。 相似文献

AIMS: This paper reviews the principles for the establishment of biochemical reference criteria for assessing the trace element status of farmed livestock and summarises data for copper, selenium, vitamin B12 and iodine for farmed red deer. COPPER: Enzootic ataxia and osteochondrosis occur when liver copper concentrations are below 60 micromol/kg fresh tissue, and serum copper concentrations are below 3-4 micromol/l. Growth responses to copper supplementation have been equivocal when blood copper concentrations were 3-4 micromol/l, but were significant when mean blood copper concentrations were 0.9-4.0 micromol/l. No antler growth or bodyweight response to copper supplementation was observed when blood ferroxidase levels averaged 10-23 IU/l (equivalent to serum copper concentrations of 6-13 micromol/l) and liver copper concentrations averaged 98 mumol/kg fresh tissue. These data suggest that 'deficient', 'marginal' and 'adequate' ranges for serum copper concentrations should be 5, 5-8, and 8 micromol/l, respectively, and those for liver copper concentrations should be 60, 60-100, and 100 micromol/kg, respectively. SELENIUM: White muscle disease has been reported in young deer with blood and liver selenium concentrations of 84-140 nmol/l and 240-500 nmol/kg fresh tissue, respectively. No growth-rate response to selenium supplementation occurred in rising 1-year-old deer when blood selenium concentrations were less than 130 nmol/l, the range in which a growth-rate response would be expected in sheep. VITAMIN B12: Vitamin B12 concentrations in deer are frequently below 185 pmol/l without clinical or subclinical effects. No growth response was observed in young deer with vitamin B12 concentrations as low as 75-83 pmol/l. A growth response to cobalt/vitamin B12 supplementation occurs in lambs with serum vitamin B12 concentrations 336 pmol/l. CONCLUSIONS: Data that can be used to establish reference ranges for assessing trace element status in deer are limited. More robust reference values for farmed red deer need to be established through further studies relating biochemical data to health and performance. 相似文献

为选择草地施肥的肥料种类,减少施肥对乌蒙半细毛羊产业的影响,在威宁县凉水沟种羊场多年生人工草地开展施肥和放牧试验。 结果表明:凉水沟种羊场人工草地牧草铜含量相对较低,但仍高于乌蒙半细毛羊营养需要标准;施肥极显著增加牧草氮含量(P<0.01),各施肥处理之间没有明显差异。硫酸铵施肥显著增加牧草硫和锌含量(P<0.01),显著降低了牧草硒的含量(P<0.01)。放牧试验结束时,施硫酸铵草地的乌蒙半细毛羊血液中铜、铁和硒的含量极显著低于施硝酸铵草地和对照组(P<0.01), 动物血液锌和硫含量极显著高于硝酸铵施肥牧场和对照组(P<0.01)。硫酸铵施肥牧场的乌蒙半细毛羊血红蛋白、红细胞压积容量极显著低于硝酸铵施肥牧场和对照牧场(P<0.01),血清铜蓝蛋白含量、血清超氧化物歧化酶活力、血清谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶活力和血清过氧化氢酶等抗氧化酶的活力极显著低于硝酸铵施肥牧场和对照牧场(P<0.01),丙二醛的含量显著高于硝酸铵施肥牧场和对照牧场(P<0.01)。血液其他矿质元素和血液指标及血清生化值在2个施肥处理和对照之间均差异不显著。 因此得出结论,草地施肥的种类需要根据土壤矿物质分布和含量情况确定,铜含量低的牧场不适合硫酸铵施肥,硫酸铵施肥明显影响了乌蒙半细毛羊机体抗氧化系统功能。 相似文献

Two cases of uterine prolapse in dromedary camels in a herd with concomitant cases of white muscle disease are described. Serum selenium and glutathione peroxidase in whole blood were investigated in both patients and showed statistical difference compared with a control group. Results suggest that selenium deficiency could promote uterine prolapse in dromedary camels. 相似文献

Plasma micro-element concentrations of copper, zinc, iron, and manganese were studied in 25 buffaloes at varying stages of gestation, between 7 months to term and with varying degrees of vaginal prolapse. A similar number of animals, normally pregnant at identical stages and with no previous history of antepartum vaginal prolapse, was used for control purposes. Plasma iron and manganese concentrations in affected animals were similar to values in normal pregnant animals at all stages. However, plasma copper levels were slightly but not significantly lower in affected animals at all stages, whereas plasma zinc concentrations were significantly low in affected animals from 9 months to term. Possible interactions are discussed between plasma copper and zinc levels, on the one hand, and hormones, like oestrogens and cortisol, on the other. 相似文献

Cattle slaughtered in four different parts of Norway have been examined with respect to selenium and zinc content in kidney, liver and muscle. Highest selenium concentrations were found in kidney and lowest in muscle. In spite of extensive use of standardized concentrates, geographic differences were detected with regard to selenium tissue levels, animals from the southeastern inland region having the lowest levels. According to other workers, this region has low-selenium humus soils, and selenium responsive diseases among young ruminants have been of considerable importance, especially when concentrates had not been given during winter feeding. The recorded tissue selenium levels are compared to other workers’ proposals for normal values. All animals examined in this study seem to be well within healthy limits. Kidney, liver and muscle from cattle are good sources of selenium with respect to human nutrition.As far as zinc concentrations are concerned, muscle has the highest and kidney the lowest levels. Geographic differences were found, and individuals from the midland and northern coastal regions have the highest zinc tissue levels. Cattle from the northern coastal region seems to have especially high zinc concentrations in the organs. 相似文献
