Field experiments showed that a neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) seed kernel suspension (NSKS) at 0.5%, 0.75% or 1% concentration gave significant protection to the tobacco crop against the tobacco caterpillar (Spodoptera litura F.) up to 7 days after spraying. None of the treatments had any adverse effect on yield or chemical and physical quality characteristics of the flue-cured Virginia tobacco. The smoke quality assessment revealed that tobacco leaves sampled from 0.5%-NSKS-sprayed plots did not have any perceptible taint in the smoke and were acceptable by the trade. In an organoleptic evaluation of NSKS-treated tobacco samples, the testers preferred cigarettes made from tobacco of either untreated samples or those treated with 0.5% NSKS. Thus, the tobacco crop can be effectively and economically protected against S. litura damage by spraying the tobacco leaves with 0.5% NSKS.  相似文献

Laboratory tests showed that a 2% neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss) seed kernel suspension (NSKS) in water sprayed onSpodoptera litura (F.) eggs before or after parasitization did not adversely affect the emergence of the egg parasiteTelenomus remus Nixon. When sprayed on eggs before parasitization, the treatment did not repel the parasite. The treatment accelerated the development of the parasite but significantly reduced the longevity of its adult. When parasitized eggs were treated, NSKS significantly increased the adult parasite longevity. Thus, a schedule of NSKS sprays can be integrated withT. remus for the control of the tobacco caterpillar,S. litura, in tobacco nurseries.  相似文献

Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner in combination with 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2% boric acid caused 100% mortality of the tobacco caterpillar,Spodoptera litura (F.), irrespective of instar, in a much shorter period (1.77 to 3.61 days) than with boric acid or the pathogen alone. The toxicity ofB. thuringiensis in combination with dicrotophos at 0.02 and 0.04%, with fenitrothion at 0.025 and 0.05%, or with dichlorvos at 0.01 and 0.05%, was enhanced.  相似文献

Abstract

Endosulfan and trichlorphon at 0.03% and 0.06%; carbaryl (0.05% and 0.1%) and methomyl (0.025% and 0.05%) were used as treatments to control Spodoptera litura and, with and without sticker, Scrobipalpa heliopa in nursery tobacco. Four treatments were applied; 14, 24, 34 and 44 days after germination. Carbaryl and trichlorphon gave the most effective control of Spodoptera litura and endosulfan was the only effective treatment for Scrobipalpa heliopa.  相似文献

Laboratory and nursery tests showed that a 2% neem (Melia azadirachta L.) seed kernel suspension in water was effective as a repellent and ovipositional deterrent for moths of the tobacco caterpillar,Spodoptera litura (F.). The mean number of eggs laid on treated tobacco seedlings was 37 3 as against 1715 on control seedlings. As a consequence of the moths being repelled from the treated plants, they laid more eggs on the cloth and the glass surface in glass jar experiments. Repellency was even more pronounced when the moths were released in treated and untreated nylon-netting-caged nursery beds; the mean number of eggs laid on treated seedlings was then only 749 as against 19,713 in control beds.  相似文献

0.02% a.i. dicrotophos and dimethoate, 0.025% a.i. demeton-S-methyl, thiometon, chlorfenvinphos and methomyl, and 0.03% a.i. phosphamidon were evaluated in the field for control of aphids (Myzus persicae Sulzer) infesting tobacco. All the insecticides were effective but chlorfenvinphos and methomyl were inferior to the rest. 0.03% and 0.06% a.i. endosulfan and trichlorfon, 0.05% and 0.1% a.i. carbaryl, and 0.025% and 0.05% a.i. methomyl were evaluated in the field for control of caterpillars ofSpodoptera litura (F.) defoliating tobacco. Nearly all the insecticides were effective and carbaryl and trichlorfon gave satisfactory control even at the lower concentrations tested.  相似文献

The tobacco cutworm, Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) (Fabricius), is a polyphagous pest which has developed physiological resistance against a number of known insecticides. In order to reduce the load of synthetic insecticides, ecofriendly alternative strategies are needed. The present studies were conducted to evaluate the insecticidal potential of the endophytic fungus Cladosporium uredinicola isolated from Tinospora cordifolia (Thunb.) on S. litura. Development of S. litura was significantly prolonged when larvae were fed on diet amended with ethyl acetate extract of C. uredinicola at concentrations of 1.25–2.00 μl?g?1. The negative effects of fungal toxin on development of S. litura further resulted in a significant reduction in adult emergence, longevity and reproductive potential at higher concentrations. A significantly higher number of adults showed morphological deformities when larvae were fed on diet amended with 2.00 μl?g?1 concentration. The inhibitory effects on growth and development of S. litura indicate toxicity of ethyl acetate extract of C. uredinicola, which is further evidenced by reduced food utilization by larvae. The antifeedant and toxic effects of ethyl acetate extract of C. uredinicola observed in the present studies can be attributed to a bioactive compound produced by the fungus, so this study provides evidence that C. uredinicola isolated from T. cordifolia possesses anti-insect properties and may play an important role in protecting plants against insect pests.  相似文献

新型杀虫剂甲磺虫腙的合成与杀虫活性   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以对氯苯甲酰氯、苯甲醚、甲基磺酰氯、水合肼、丁酮等为原料合成了新型杀虫剂甲磺虫腙(试验号:ZJ0967),其化学名称为甲磺酸-4- 苯酯,其结构经1H NMR、MS和元素分析确认。室内生测结果表明,甲磺虫腙对小菜蛾Plutella xylostella、甜菜夜蛾Spodoptera exigua,特别是对粘虫Mythimna sepatara、斜纹夜蛾Prodenia litura表现出良好的杀虫活性。进一步毒力测定表明,甲磺虫腙对斜纹夜蛾的LC50值为8.45(7.69~9.62) mg/L,其杀虫活性与虫酰肼相当,但低于氟啶脲。田间试验结果表明,70%甲磺虫腙WG在有效成分为210~420 g/hm2时,对斜纹夜蛾7 d的防效可达88.6% ~93.9%,未观察到对作物产生药害。  相似文献

几丁寡糖对烟草黑胫病的控制效应及其机制   总被引:8,自引:1,他引:7  
在室内条件下,采用菌丝生长速率法测定了几丁寡糖对烟草黑胫病菌的抑制作用,继而在温室盆栽和人工接种条件下,分别测定几丁寡糖、木霉、几丁质、几丁寡糖+木霉、几丁寡糖+木霉+几丁质等5种处理对烟草黑胫病的防治效果。结果表明,几丁寡糖在离体条件下对烟草黑胫病菌菌丝生长无抑制作用,但在盆栽试验中对烟草黑胫病具有显著防治效果。5种处理中,几丁寡糖单独处理对烟草黑胫病的防治效果最高,为57.81%,其次为几丁寡糖+木霉+几丁质和几丁寡糖+木霉处理,分别为53.49%和52.49%。在温室条件下对烟草植株施用几丁寡糖及人工接种黑胫病菌后10天内,几丁寡糖能显著提高烟草体内的SOD、POD、PPO和几丁质酶活性,且活性峰值分别比对照提高96.30%、136.36%、10.34%和9.10%。  相似文献

为摸清斜纹夜蛾成虫在不同寄主上的行为节律变化,在室内分别用烟草和白菜饲养3代,建立烟草种群和白菜种群,比较分析了成虫的羽化、交配、产卵等行为节律。结果表明:烟草种群雌虫有2个羽化高峰期,分别在熄灯前2 h和熄灯后1 h,雄虫只有1个高峰期,出现在熄灯后2 h;白菜种群雌、雄虫均有2个高峰期,主、次高峰期分别在熄灯前后1 h内和熄灯后4~5 h。2种群均有2个交配高峰期,烟草种群第1高峰期在熄灯后2 h,而白菜种群在熄灯后5 h,第2高峰期均在开灯前2 h;烟草种群和白菜种群一生的交配持续时间分别为54.78±3.09 min和60.00±2.58 min,差异不显著;烟草种群一生交配1~3次,而白菜种群只交配1次,差异极显著;2种群均只有1个产卵高峰期,烟草种群在熄灯后4 h,白菜种群则在熄灯后5 h。表明斜纹夜蛾取食烟草和白菜2种不同寄主其成虫繁殖节律会发生较大的改变。  相似文献

The tobacco caterpillar, Spodoptera litura (Fabricius) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), is a polyphagous pest defoliating sweet potato, Ipomoea batata (Lam) (Convolvulaceae), throughout Asia. The study of morphometric parameters of S. litura as a result of feeding on three varieties (RNSP1, KIRAN and RNSP3) of host plant revealed that a greater number of egg masses were laid on the KIRAN variety than on the others. I. batata varieties showed statistically significant effects on length, breadth and weight of different larval instars. KIRAN-fed larvae molted to bigger-sized pupae. S. litura larvae reared on KIRAN variety had the highest feeding index as well as growth index. The low concentrations of phenols and carbohydrates coupled with elevated levels of proteins and amino acids were found in KIRAN as compared with RNSP1 and RNSP3. Collectively, the results of this study revealed that KIRAN cultivar was the most suitable food plant for the development of S. litura. Concurrently, it is suggested that this cultivar is therefore least suitable for sweet potato cultivation.  相似文献

Two mutants of Cucumber mosaic virus, CMV(Y/GM1) and CMV(Y/GM2), which induced mild green mosaic symptoms in tobacco, were isolated from plants regenerated from tobacco leaves with yellow mosaic symptoms originally infected with the yellow strain of CMV [CMV(Y)]. Although the appearance of mild green mosaic symptoms in tobacco infected with CMV(Y/GM2) was unstable, CMV(Y/GM3) derived from CMV(Y/GM2) reproducibly induced mild green mosaic symptoms in tobacco similar to CMV(Y/GM1). A comparison of the deduced amino acid sequences of the coat proteins of CMV(Y), CMV(Y/GM1) and CMV(Y/GM3), showed single amino acid substitutions from Thr to Ile at position 124 in the CMV(Y/GM1) coat protein and from Val to Ile at position 111 in the CMV(Y/GM3) coat protein. When the amino acid at the 124 or 111 position in the CMV(Y) coat protein was changed to Ile at the cDNA level, CMV RNA3 transcribed in vitro from each cDNA induced mild green mosaic symptoms in tobacco after inoculation with in vitro transcribed CMV(Y) RNA1 and RNA2. The results indicated that amino acids at positions 111 and 124 in the coat protein were responsible for the phenotypic changes caused by the two CMV isolates.  相似文献

Fusarium wilt of tobacco could be caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. batatas or f. sp. vasinfectum since f. sp. nicotianae was rejected because there was no evidence of isolates specific to tobacco. Forty isolates of F. oxysporum from soil and plants from tobacco fields in Extremadura (south-western Spain) were characterized by pathogenicity on burley and flue-cured tobacco, for vegetative compatibility group (VCG), and by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD). Isolates from burley were identified as race 1 of F. oxysporum f. sp. batatas based on pathogenicity on tobacco, sweet potato and cotton, and those from flue-cured as race 2. Most isolates from soil were heterokaryon self-incompatible (HSI) and the remaining isolates from soil and tobacco were grouped into four VCGs: VCG 1 (5 isolates from burley), VCG 2 (17 isolates from flue-cured and 4 from soil), VCG 3 (2 isolates from flue-cured) and VCG 4 (2 isolates from soil). This is the first report of the two races and VCGs of F. oxysporum f. sp. batatas in Spain. Analysis of RAPD revealed two clusters (C-I and C-II) related to race and VCGs. C-I included race 1 (VCG 1) isolates from burley and nonpathogenic (VCG 4 or HSI) isolates from soils. C-II included nonpathogenic (VCG 2) and race 2 (VCG 2 or VCG 3) isolates from flue-cured. VCG and RAPD markers were effective in distinguishing race 2 from race 1, suggesting that there are two genetically differentiated groups of F. oxysporum f. sp. batatas on tobacco in Extremadura.  相似文献

The effects of riboflavin on defense responses and secondary metabolism in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum cv. NC89) cell suspensions and the effects of protecting tobacco seedlings against Phytophthora parasitica var. nicotianae and Ralstonia solanacearum were investigated. Defense responses elicited by riboflavin in tobacco cells included an oxidative burst, alkalinization of the extracellular medium, expression of 4 defense-related genes with different kinetics and intensities, and accumulation of 2 total phenolic compounds, scopoletin and lignin. When applied to tobacco plants challenged by P. parasitica and R. solanacearum, riboflavin treatment resulted in 47.9% and 48.0% protection, respectively. These results suggest that riboflavin can both induce a series of defense responses and secondary metabolism in cell suspensions and protect tobacco against P. parasitica and R. solanacearum.  相似文献

Imidacloprid has been used as a key insecticide for controlling sucking insect pests of cotton, whereas Spodoptera litura also has been indirectly exposed to this insecticide in Pakistan. To evaluate the risk of resistance evolution and to develop a better resistance management strategy, a field collected population was selected with imidacloprid in the laboratory. Thereafter, fitness cost, realized heritability and cross resistance of imidacloprid resistance in S. litura were investigated. After 14 generations of selection with imidacloprid, S. litura developed a 137.48-fold resistance to the insecticide. Bioassay revealed that this strain showed cross-resistance to acetamiprid (RR 8.52) and a little to lamdacyhalothrin (1.92) but negative cross-resistance was found to methomyl (−0.19). The resistant strain had a relative fitness of 0.38, with substantially lower rates of larval survival, larval duration, male pupal duration, development time, emergence rate of healthy adults, fecundity, hatchability, and prolonged larval and pupal duration. Mean relative growth rate of the larvae, intrinsic rate of population increase, and biotic potential was lower for the selected populations. The estimated realized heritability (h2) of imidacloprid resistance was 0.15 in the resistant strain of S. litura. Development of the resistance may cost significant fitness for the resistant population. This study provided valuable information for further understanding the impact of imidacloprid resistance on physiological parameters of S. litura and for facilitating the development of resistance management strategies.  相似文献

氯溴异氰尿酸在烟叶及其土壤中的残留分析及消解动态   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
建立了烟叶及其土壤中氯溴异氰尿酸残留的检测方法,并测定了氯溴异氰尿酸在烟叶及其土壤中的消解动态和最终残留。样品经乙腈提取,三氯甲烷、石油醚萃取后,采用高效液相色谱(HPLC-UV)检测。结果表明:在0.01~0.5 mg/kg添加水平下,氯溴异氰尿酸在鲜烟叶、干烟叶和土壤中的平均回收率分别为82.7% ~91.6%、89.2% ~91.8%和89.2% ~94.4%,相对标准偏差(RSD)分别为1.1% ~3.9%、2.6% ~5.5%和1.5% ~4.6%,方法的检出限(LOD)均为0.003 mg/kg, 定量限(LOQ)均为0.01 mg/kg。田间消解动态结果表明,氯溴异氰尿酸在烟叶及其土壤中消解较快,半衰期分别为3.94~4.25 d和2.83~3.41d,施药后14d,其在烟叶和土壤中的消解率均达90%以上。氯溴异氰尿酸可湿性粉剂按有效成分600 g/hm2(推荐高剂量)和900 g/hm2(1.5倍推荐高剂量)于烟草现蕾期对水喷雾施药3~4次,距末次施药后间隔21d采样,烟叶中氯溴异氰尿酸的残留量为1.47~3.52 mg/kg,土壤中的残留量为未检出~0.43 mg/kg。  相似文献

为获得对烟草黑胫病有较强生防效果的拮抗细菌,从健康烟草根际采集30份土壤样品,分离纯化得到347株细菌,经病原真菌定向筛选后得到1株对烟草黑胫病菌等病原真菌拮抗活性较好的细菌FB-16,其对烟草黑胫病菌的抑菌带宽为23mm。采用菌丝生长速率法、作用机制试验、温室防病试验测定FB-16的抑菌作用,并通过形态学特征、生理生化特征及16S rDNA序列分析对菌株进行鉴定。结果显示,菌株FB-16发酵液对烟草黑胫病菌菌丝生长抑制率为95.96%;其代谢产物对烟草黑胫病菌菌丝有致畸作用;菌株FB-16为解淀粉芽胞杆菌Bacillus amyloliauefaciens(Gen-Bank登录号为JN245982);饱和度25%硫酸铵获得的抑菌物质对烟草黑胫病菌的抑菌活性较高,抑菌圈直径达42.00 mm;FB-16活性产物处理的烟草植株在接种烟草黑胫病菌7天后的防治效果为69.96%。表明菌株FB-16在烟草黑胫病生物防治中具有潜在的利用价值。  相似文献

Topical laboratory selection of tobacco budworm larvae, Heliothis virescens, with technical spinosad for multiple generations resulted in larvae 1068-fold resistant to topical applications of the insecticide and 316.6-fold resistant to insecticide treated diet as compared to the parental strain. The penetration of 2′-O-methyl[14C]spinosyn A across the cuticle of the susceptible (parental) and selected (resistant) tobacco budworms increased with time 3-12 h after application. A trend of reduced penetration in the resistant strain was found but the differences were not statistically significant. 2′-O-methyl[14C]spinosyn A when injected into the hemocoel was not metabolized 96 h after treatment in both the susceptible and resistant strain, suggesting that a change in metabolism was not the mechanism of resistance. Electrophysiological studies indicated that dose-dependent spinosyn A-induced currents occurred in neurons from spinosyn resistant and susceptible (adult) tobacco budworms. At both 10 and 100 nM spinosyn A, however, the amplitude of these currents in the resistant insects was significantly smaller than the amplitude of currents observed from neurons from susceptible tobacco budworm adults. This suggests that neurons from resistant insects have decreased sensitivity to spinosyn A. However, the reduced inward currents in the resistant strain may or may not be related to the mode of action of the spinosyns. No statistically significant cross-resistance was noted for the spinosad resistant tobacco budworms for topical applications of permethrin (Pounce®), profenofos (Curacron®), emamectin benzoate (Denim®), or indoxacarb (Steward®). A statistically significant reduction in susceptibility to acetamiprid (Mospilan®) in artificial diet as determined from a resistance ratio of 0.482 was found.  相似文献
