Abstract

The rationale is presented for the development of techniques for applying insecticides by helicopter in small-scale field trials against Glossina tachinoides, an important vector of human sleeping sickness. This approach has been adopted in view of the difficulty of applying non-residual insecticides to the riverine forest habitat by fixed-wing aircraft and the need to test the efficacy of new insecticides to ascertain effective dosages. Six insecticides were tested; endosulfan, decamethrin, permethrin, azamethiphos tetrachlorvinphos and fenthion. The trials were carried out in the River Komoe valley, a typical humid savanna area with savanna woodland, woodland/floodplain ecotones, moist riverine forest and dry forest as the main vegetation types. Glossina tachinoides was the only tsetse fly present in sufficient numbers for it to be used for evaluation in the trials, it feeds on bushbuck and carries Trypanosoma grayi, a parasite of crocodiles and Varanus spp. The area was divided into an untreated control zone, droplet penetration study area and experimental airspray blocks. Prior to the trials themselves it was necessary to undertake equipment tests and droplet size and spray penetration studies in selected typical riverine forest habitats; to determine the most effective method of aerosol application in the riverine forest and to ascertain, through meteorological studies, the most appropriate time of day to apply the pesticide. It was also necessary to monitor the effects of the insecticide applications on the non-target organisms inhabitating or associated with the gallery forest. Benzhydrolpiperidine (BZP) insecticides represent a novel class of chemistry. Their specificity and efficacy as well as their low mammalian toxicity give them excellent potential for commercialization. Several N-arylalkylbenzhydrolpiperidines were tested for activity against a variety of insects in the laboratory and greenhouse. These tests were used to select compounds for field trials and determine rates of application for field tests. The BZP compounds have good activity against Lepidoptera, with modest Coleoptera activity. They are toxic by oral administration and have about 100-fold lower activity by topical exposure. A methyl carbamate BZP, F4265, was the most active compound, with LC50 values of 6 mg litre(-1) or less for most Lepidopteran species tested. F4265 was active in a variety of field trials at 112-224gAI ha(-1). Whole-plant testing methods conducted in the greenhouse were effective in determining field test rates.  相似文献

The efficacy of insecticides for the control of Nezara viridula (L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), the green vegetable bug, was tested in laboratory and field trials. Bioassays of 11 insecticides against field-collected adults were used to select two insecticides for a field experiment conducted in a process sweet corn crop, Zea mays (L.) (cv. Punch), near Tolaga Bay on the east coast of the North Island, New Zealand. Lambda-cyhalothrin (as 200 ml Karate®/100 litres water ha m 1 ) and methamidophos (as 1 litre Tamaron TM /100 litres water ha m 1 ) were tested against a water control. Both insecticides demonstrated efficacy, with respective mortality rates of 87 and 83% compared with 2% in the control. Green vegetable bug flew into the experimental crop in large numbers over 48 h before the start of the trial. Damage thresholds were exceeded in two of the three control plots within 7 days of the green vegetable bug first invading the crop, leaving only a very small 'window' for insecticide application. Success or otherwise of these insecticides is therefore likely to be dependent on the timing of application as well as on the efficacy of the products themselves.  相似文献

为了筛选对螺旋粉虱有较强生物活性的化学药剂,以螺旋粉虱成虫为试虫,采用叶片浸渍法对15种常用杀虫剂进行筛选,并对较为敏感的药剂进行室内毒力测定及田间防效评估。室内毒力测定结果表明,虫螨腈、辛硫磷对螺旋粉虱成虫活性较为显著,LC50分别为0.881mg/L和1.055mg/L,甲氰菊酯、异丙威对螺旋粉虱若虫活性较为显著,LC50分别为5.320mg/L和9.425mg/L。在田间药效评估中,甲氰菊酯、虫酰肼、异丙威、氟铃脲在各供试浓度下对螺旋粉虱均表现出较好活性,药后144h,125mg/L浓度田间防效均在80%以上。上述结果表明,甲氰菊酯、虫酰肼、异丙威、氟铃脲对螺旋粉虱具有较好的防治效果,在进行螺旋粉虱的田间防治中,可用这几种药剂进行交替使用,防止抗性的产生。  相似文献

The major mycotoxigenic species of Fusarium and Aspergillus phytopathogens have been identified in this review. Since fungicides are widely used to control crop diseases caused by these fungi, it is pertinent to assess efficacy with respect to mycotoxin production. In both laboratory studies with pure cultures of phytopathogens and field trials with crop plants, the overall evidence concerning the effectiveness of fungicides is contradictory and in certain cases somewhat unexpected. In particular, at sub-lethal doses of a number of fungicides including carbendazim, tridemorph, difenoconazole and tebuconazole with triadimenol, mycotoxin production from Fusarium phytopathogens may increase. Furthermore, the efficacy of propiconazole and thiabendazole in the control of deoxynivalenol production from F. graminearum is not consistent. Evidence has been presented to suggest, for the first time, that fungicide-resistance in F. culmorum may be accompanied by a more persistent pattern of mycotoxin production. The limited evidence on the effects of fungicides on mycotoxin production in Aspergillus species is also conflicting. Under laboratory conditions, miconazole and fenpropimorph have been shown to increase aflatoxin production from A. parasiticus. Moreover, fenpropimorph increased production of the more toxic aflatoxin B1. Since fungal infection of plant products is often preceded by insect damage, there is interest in the effectiveness of insecticides to reduce infestation, infection and mycotoxin contamination. Additionally, insecticides may be effective in their own right, causing a direct effect on mycotoxin synthesis. The bulk of the evidence relates to effects on aflatoxin (AF) components B1, B2, G1 and G2. Under laboratory conditions, AFB1 production was most resistant to inhibition by insecticides, followed by AFG1, AFG2 and AFB2. This pattern of inhibition was particularly consistent for the organophosphorus insecticides. In one field study, Bux and carbaryl were considerably more effective than naled in reducing AFB1 contamination of maize kernels. It is concluded that if pesticide control is to be more effective in the future, additional criteria may be required in developing evaluation protocols for candidate compounds. In particular, the issue of fungicide-resistance in relation to mycotoxin production needs to be addressed in a concerted programme of research. Additionally, the potential of breeding and selecting cultivars resistant to disease caused by toxigenic fungi needs to be exploited in a parallel search for an environmentally acceptable solution to the question of mycotoxin contamination of plant products.  相似文献

5种杀虫剂对白眉野草螟的毒力测定和田间防效   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
白眉野草螟(Agriphila aeneociliella)是近年来在山东莱州等地小麦上新发现的一种害虫,由于对其生物学习性和防控技术缺少了解,致使当地小麦生产损失严重,对小麦主产区粮食安全生产构成潜在威胁。本试验通过室内毒力测定和田间药效试验,测定了当前5种常用杀虫剂对其幼虫的防治效果。室内毒力测定结果表明:毒死蜱、氯虫苯甲酰胺和辛硫磷的杀虫活性较高,LC50分别为0.39、1.75和10.75 mg/L;田间药效试验结果表明:480 g/L毒死蜱乳油和40%辛硫磷乳油在施药7 d后的防效均在90%以上,分别为91%和90%,显著高于另外3种药剂,可作为防治白眉野草螟的首选药剂,施药方法建议在小麦返青前期灌根或播种前撒施毒土。  相似文献

草地贪夜蛾是今年新侵入我国的世界性重大农业害虫,主要为害玉米等作物,给我国玉米等粮食作物生产安全带来巨大隐患。为筛选防治草地贪夜蛾的安全高效药剂,设计并开展此试验。试验结果表明15%甲维·茚虫威悬浮剂20mL/667m 2+激健助剂15mL/667m 2、15%甲维·茚虫威悬浮剂20mL/667m 2、6%氯虫苯甲酰胺·阿维菌素悬浮剂50mL/667m 2、10亿孢子/mL甘蓝夜蛾核型多角体病毒悬浮剂100mL/667m 2+3%甲维盐微乳剂25mL/667m 2、3%甲维盐微乳剂50、25mL/667m 2、3%甲维·虱螨脲悬浮剂100mL/667m 2、5%阿维菌素乳油50mL/667m 2、10亿孢子/mL甘蓝夜蛾核型多角体病毒悬浮剂150mL/667m 2均能较好防治玉米草地贪夜蛾,药后7d防效均在79.4%以上,药后14d防效均在80.59%以上,可作为防治玉米草地贪夜蛾的优选应急用药措施。  相似文献

1997~1998年,用浸叶接虫法测定了山西省南部棉区永济县棉铃虫对常用5种农药的抗药性,同时进行了多种农药防治棉铃虫田间药效试验研究。结果表明,永济县棉铃虫对氯氰菊酯已产生了高等水平的抗药性,对久效磷产生了中等水平的抗药性,但对灭多威仍未产生明显的抗药性。水胺硫磷、甲基对硫磷、氯氟氰菊酯、氯氰菊酯、丙·辛乳油和甲对·氯乳油等农药防治永济县二代棉铃虫效果较好  相似文献

Defoliating caterpillars from the family Noctuidae are the most destructive insect pests on spearmint crop in Morocco. To control these pests, the growers apply several applications of non‐selective insecticides that are sometimes not registered for this use. This study investigates the efficacy of a set of selective chemical insecticides and other insecticides registered for organic farming against the defoliating caterpillars for better protection and in order to limit pesticide residues. Two insecticides authorized in organic farming and four other chemical insecticides were tested against the defoliating caterpillars under field conditions, following the randomized complete block experimental design with three replications. The comparative study of the efficacy of the different insecticides tested showed an average caterpillar reduction of 89.4, 82.5 and 68.1% with a defoliation reduction of 57.1, 53.8 and 43.9% for two of the tested synthetic insecticides, chlorantraniliprole (15cc/hl), emamectin benzoate (250g/ha) and for one of the tested bio‐insecticides, spinosad (30cc/hl) respectively. An increase of the total fresh mint weight compared to the non‐treated control was recorded for these three insecticides with 50.9%, 48.4%, and 40.5% for emamectin benzoate, chlorantraniliprole, and spinosad respectively. Insecticides containing chlorantraniliprole, emamectin benzoate, or spinosad active substances could be used as alternatives to other synthetic broad‐spectrum insecticides commonly used on spearmint in Morocco.  相似文献

The sulfoximines, as exemplified by sulfoxaflor ([N-[methyloxido[1-[6-(trifluoromethyl)-3-pyridinyl]ethyl]-λ4-sulfanylidene] cyanamide] represent a new class of insecticides. Sulfoxaflor exhibits a high degree of efficacy against a wide range of sap-feeding insects, including those resistant to neonicotinoids and other insecticides. Sulfoxaflor is an agonist at insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and functions in a manner distinct from other insecticides acting at nAChRs. The sulfoximines also exhibit structure activity relationships (SAR) that are different from other nAChR agonists such as the neonicotinoids. This review summarizes the sulfoximine SAR, mode of action and the biochemistry underlying the observed efficacy on resistant insect pests, with a particular focus on sulfoxaflor.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The spotted wing Drosophila, Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura, 1931) (Diptera: Drosophilidae), is an invasive pest of small‐fruit crops. Unlike most other Drosophila, this insect is able to oviposit into and damage ripe and ripening fruit, making it unmarketable. Because this is a new pest in the United States, it is necessary to identify registered insecticides to manage this insect effectively in conventional and organic production systems. RESULTS: The present laboratory bioassays and field trials identified a number of insecticides representing various modes of action that are effective in controlling D. suzukii. Products that performed well in the laboratory bioassay also performed well in the field, indicating that screening of new chemistries in the laboratory is a worthy exercise. Field application of pyrethoids, organophosphates or spinosyns provided 5–14 days of residual control of D. suzukii. The efficacy of the neonicotinoids as adulticides was not satisfactory compared with the other contact‐mode‐of‐action chemistries. Based on the zero tolerance by the small‐fruit industry and the individual effects mentioned above, neonicotinoids are not currently recommended for D. suzukii management. 测定了3种杀虫剂对西花蓟马的室内毒力和田间防效。室内生物测定结果表明,多杀菌素、甲氨基阿维菌素苯甲酸盐、阿维菌素对西花蓟马成虫的LC50值为0.050~2.887mg/L,对西花蓟马若虫的LC50值为0.040~0.457mg/L;田间药效试验表明,田间防治西花蓟马时推荐使用剂量(防效>80%)分别为:2.5%多杀菌素悬浮剂30~60g/667m2,1%甲氨基阿维菌素苯甲酸盐乳油30~60g/667m2,1.8%阿维菌素乳油不可低于75g/667m2。  相似文献

采用半静态法测定了360种常用农药制剂(包括135种有效成分)对斑马鱼的急性毒性,其中杀虫剂、杀菌剂、除草剂、植物生长调节剂等不同类别农药所占的比例分别为67.5%、16.1%、13.6%、2.8%。结果表明:49%的制剂对斑马鱼表现高毒或剧毒,涉及25种农药有效成分,主要为杀虫剂,杀菌剂和除草剂的毒性相对较低,微生物农药对斑马鱼的急性毒性较低,而部分植物源农药的急性毒性较高;相同有效成分的不同制剂之间由于有效成分含量、剂型及加工工艺的不同,会出现毒性存在差异的情况。  相似文献

柑橘全爪螨是重要的柑橘害虫之一, 对多种化学农药已产生抗性。为合理选择防治药剂, 更好地防治该害虫, 本研究选择7种药剂采用改进浸叶法对柑橘全爪螨雌成螨进行了室内毒力测定, 并参照农药田间药效试验准则开展了田间药效试验。研究结果表明, 7种药剂对柑橘全爪螨的毒力从大到小依次为乙唑螨腈(0.818 mg/L)、丁氟螨酯(4.645 mg/L)、印楝素(4.878 mg/L)、氟啶胺(16.844 mg/L)、哒螨灵(21.167 mg/L)、乙螨唑(69.834 mg/L)、螺虫乙酯(417.089 mg/L)。乙唑螨腈和丁氟螨酯的速效性好且持效期长, 对柑橘全爪螨的防效显著高于其他供试药剂, 可作为防治的首选药剂。此外, 氟啶胺对柑橘全爪螨也有较高的毒力和防效, 作为一种广谱高效的保护性杀菌剂, 可在防治柑橘病害的同时防治害螨, 病虫兼治。  相似文献

白背飞虱是水稻上的重要害虫,而且是近年来发生严重的南方水稻黑条矮缩病毒的唯一传播介体。为有效降低白背飞虱自身的危害及其传播的南方水稻黑条矮缩病的发生,在云南德宏开展了4种拌种剂防治白背飞虱的田间药效试验。在25%吡蚜酮WP、60%吡虫啉FSC、35%丁硫克百威DS及70%噻虫嗪WS中,35%丁硫克百威DS在拌种后31d对白背飞虱种群的防效仍高达93.6%,其他3种拌种剂的防效分别为75.0%、55.0%及49.3%。因此35%丁硫克百威DS是适合于当地防治白背飞虱的水稻拌种剂。  相似文献

Potato virus Y (PVY) is the potato virus with the highest economic impact on seed potato production. Insecticides are efficient in controlling aphids, which are the vectors of this virus, but rarely limit virus spread in the field. Straw mulching and mineral oil spraying are known as alternatives to insecticides to reduce PVY incidence, but important year‐to‐year variation in efficacy has been observed with both of these techniques. Preliminary studies revealed the efficacy of intercropping in controlling PVY spread, but more data are needed to validate this observation. A four‐year field trial was conducted in Switzerland to assess the potential synergistic effect of combining mineral oil spraying with straw mulching to increase the protection of seed potato crops against PVY spread. Furthermore, the efficacy of intercropping with oat and hairy vetch was examined as a novel way to control in‐field PVY spread. The present work demonstrates that the modes of action of mineral oil and straw mulching are complementary and reduce the year‐to‐year variation observed with oil and straw when used alone as PVY control agents. The results also demonstrate the efficacy of intercropping for the control of PVY, and the mode of action of this novel control method is discussed. Overall, this work shows that it is possible to increase the protection of potato fields against PVY spread by combining control strategies with different modes of action that complement each other, such as mulching, oil spraying and intercropping.  相似文献

采用浸叶法开展了7种杀虫剂对温室棕榈蓟马成虫的室内毒力测定,并对效果较好的2种药剂进行田间药效试验。室内生物测定结果表明,多杀菌素、甲氨基阿维菌素苯甲酸盐对棕榈蓟马成虫的LC50分别为0.079 mg/L 和0.443 mg/L,而阿维菌素、灭多威、啶虫脒、高效氯氟氰菊酯LC50值为47.908 ~206.236 mg/L。田间药效试验结果表明,2.5%多杀菌素悬浮剂和2.2%甲氨基阿维菌素苯甲酸盐微乳剂使用剂量以80~60 g/667 m2和 30~20 g/667 m2防治效果较理想。  相似文献

以室内毒力测定技术为基础,提出了一种在研究农药复配制剂过程中筛选并表征最佳配比的实用方法,适用于杀虫剂的二元复配配比研究。在室内以稻黑尾叶蝉Nephotettix cincticeps 4龄若虫为供试昆虫,对仲丁威和乐果混配进行了最佳配比的筛选和验证,取得了理想的结果。  相似文献
