This article describes the digitization of the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station publications. This collection forms part of the United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN) National Preservation Program for Agricultural Literature and the State and Local Literature Preservation Projects that are similar in scope to Cornell's Core Historic Literature of Agriculture digital collection. These are nationwide projects that seek to preserve scholarly literature in agriculture. Project planning and implementation is described, followed by a discussion of the potential usefulness of this collection and ways of promoting its use to various user groups.  相似文献

Institutional repositories manage and disseminate a University's scholarly output and provide a multitude of benefits to the organization and society. Rutgers University Libraries is actively expanding its repository to include materials with scholarly merit that are currently siloed in academic departments or otherwise unpreserved and unavailable to the public. This article describes a collaboration between Rutgers Libraries faculty and Rutgers teaching faculty which is enabling discovery of a significant collection of video data relating to equine behavioral responses. The article describes the research, the repository tools, and the process of developing and customizing metadata to bring this collection to light.  相似文献

针对精准农业多源信息采集管理应用的实际需求,提出一种基于时间阈值的数字照片自动空间位置标识方法和基于空间位置的数字照片索引及热链接方法。利用该方法开发了面向精准农业的农田空间多媒体信息采集管理软件,软件将数字照片采集、空间标识、快速索引、热链接表达和数据转换等环节作为一个完整的流程处理,支持普通数码照相机配合手持GPS设备、GPS数码相机和具有定位拍照功能手持设备等多种数据采集方式下的空间多媒体数据采集、空间位置标识索引和数据交换,实现了地理信息系统环境下的数字照片动态索引和关联,并给出了匹配照片时间阈值ε的取值范围。通过精准农业农田基础设施空间多媒体数据采集融合实际应用,验证了该方法的有效性和实用性。  相似文献

及时准确地获取农田小区影响作物生长的环境因素多源时空差异性信息,是实施精准农业的关键步骤。研究开发基于DGPS及便携式GPS的农田信息采集软件,集成较为成熟的田间信息采集传感器硬件,能够采集田间地物分布、作物生育期苗情状态、杂草分布、病虫害发生情况、土壤肥力等多种基于精确空间位置的实时动态信息,包括数字照片和数字视频等多媒体属性信息。使空间定位、属性记录和导航实施过程相结合,初步实现了农田信息获取的自动化。  相似文献

Hispanic farm workers and their families in the U.S. face a number of environmental and occupational health risks, yet they are rarely given the opportunity to choose the focus of the research and interventions that take place in their communities. Community-based participatory research (CBPR) can be one effective approach to changing this situation. CBPR is an approach to research that makes community members partners in research rather than subjects of research. This article describes the experience of El Proyecto Bienestar (The Well-Being Project), a CBPR project in the Yakima Valley, Washington, with the aim of facilitating the Hispanic community's involvement in the identification and prioritization of occupational and environmental health issues among farm workers. The project utilized three forms of data collection (key informant interviews, community surveys, and a town hall meeting) to create a list of environmental and occupational health issues of concern. Investigators strove to provide opportunities for community participation in the various stages of research: study concept and design, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, conclusions, and dissemination of results. This article describes the involvement that community members had at each stage of the three forms of data collection and outlines the basic findings that led the Community Advisory Board to prioritize four areas for future work. In addition, it describes the challenges the project faced from the researcher perspective. Using examples from this experience, we conclude that this model may be an effective way for farm workers and their families to have a voice in prioritizing health and safety issues for research and action in their communities.  相似文献

The herbarium collection of the N.I. Vavilov Institute of Plant Industry (WIR) contains specimens of cultivated plants, their wild relatives and weedy plants and provides ample opportunities for research. It is a unique special herbarium collection and one of those rare collections having a card index (catalog). For the catalog to be functional, it should reflect the current changes in the taxa names. Only a computerized card file may meet this requirement. The creation of a database for VIR's herbarium was launched in 1995. VIR is carrying out a range of work necessary for providing a wider access to its herbarium and related information for the international scientific community.  相似文献

基于无人机数码影像的冬小麦叶面积指数探测研究   总被引:18,自引:1,他引:17  
叶面积指数(LAI)是评价作物长势的重要农学参数之一,利用遥感技术准确估测作物叶面积指数(LAI)对精准农业意义重大。目前,数码相机与无人机系统组成的高性价比遥感监测系统在农业研究中已取得一些成果,但利用无人机数码影像开展作物LAI估测研究还少有尝试。为论证利用无人机数码影像估测冬小麦LAI的可行性,本文以获取到的3个关键生育期(孕穗期、开花期和灌浆期)冬小麦无人机数码影像为数据源,利用数字图像转换原理构建出10种数字图像特征参数,并系统地分析了3个生育期内两个冬小麦品种在4种氮水平下的LAI与数字图像特征参数之间的关联性。结果表明,在LAI随生育期发生变化的同时,10种数字图像特征参数中R/(R+G+B)和本文提出的基于无人机数码影像红、绿、蓝通道DN值以及可见光大气阻抗植被指数(VARI)计算原理构建的数字图像特征参数UAV-based VARIRGB也有规律性变化,说明冬小麦的施氮差异不仅对LAI有影响,也对某些数字图像特征参数有一定影响;在不同条件(品种、氮营养水平以及生育期)下的数字图像特征参数与LAI的相关性分析中,R/(R+G+B)和UAV-based VARIRGB与LAI显著相关。进而,研究评价了R/(R+G+B)和UAV-based VARIRGB构建的LAI估测模型,最终确定UAV-based VARIRGB为估测冬小麦LAI的最佳参数指标。结果表明UAV-based VARIRGB指数模型估测的LAI与实测LAI拟合性较好(R2=0.71,RMSE=0.8,P0.01)。本研究证明将无人机数码影像应用于冬小麦LAI探测是可行的,这也为高性价比无人机遥感系统的精准农业应用增添了新成果和经验。  相似文献

采用自动控制技术实现节水灌溉是当今的发展方向之一。该文给出了节水灌溉自动化系统中的无线数据采集子系统、节水灌溉自动控制子系统、系统控制软件结构设计和抗干扰措施。利用nRF903收/发芯片实现数据的无线传输,采集端将传感器的输出信号进行模数转换,利用无线数字传输技术将数据发送到接收端,在接收端对数据进行存储和显示。该文从硬件和软件两方面描述了系统的设计及实现方法。实践证明,该系统使用灵活,数据传输可靠,更适合不便连线的测试和控制场合应用。  相似文献

Digital soil mapping as a tool to generate spatial soil information provides solutions for the growing demand for high‐resolution soil maps worldwide. Even in highly developed countries like Germany, digital soil mapping becomes essential due to the decreasing, time‐consuming, and expensive field surveys which are no longer affordable by the soil surveys of the individual federal states. This article summarizes the present state of soil survey in Germany in terms of digitally available soil data, applied digital soil mapping, and research in the broader field of pedometrics and discusses future perspectives. Based on the geomorphologic conditions in Germany, relief is a major driving force in soil genesis. This is expressed by the digital–soil mapping research which highlights the great importance of digital terrain attributes in combination with information on parent material in soil prediction. An example of digital soil mapping using classification trees in Thuringia is given as an introduction in digital soil‐class mapping based on correlations to environmental covariates within the scope of the German classification system.  相似文献

为了实现谷物现场测产系统采集数据并向测产服务系统进行实时传递,以满足各种终端设备对数据的访问需求,采用Web技术开发了谷物测产数据服务系统,实现了工控机、移动终端和服务器等异构平台之间的数据交互和共享。测产数据由装载在现场联合收割机上的工控机实时采集,利用无线通讯技术通过Socket连接服务器进行数据传输,服务器端按照数据交换协议进行数据解析、产量计算、数据存储和可视化。测产数据服务由基于SOAP(simple object access protocol)协议的Web Service接口提供。该文采用GZIP(GNUzip)压缩技术降低测产数据访问服务时的带宽消耗,由数字签名和信息加密技术保障数据安全。测产实践表明,该数据采集和服务平台能够高效地接收处理实时传来的数据进行数据可视化、计算以及数据推送,实现了异构平台之间数据交互和共享。  相似文献

Soil organic matter (SOM) plays a key role in soil, and is used to determine soil quality. Conventional soil property analysis is relatively slow, expensive and laborious. Although using a spectrometer can quickly assess a large amount of organic matter content, it is an expensive, complex and undefined process. This article presents a potential simple method for estimating black-SOM that uses a digital camera that is cheaper and easier to operate than a spectrometer. RGB (red, green and blue) image-intensity values of the soil from a digital camera were measured, to research the relationship between black-SOM and RGB. The results show the red image-intensity values provide the greatest correlation with SOM, with a correlation coefficient (r) reaching 0.73. A comparison with spectrometer results for SOM predictions shows that the best prediction result for the digital camera (R2 = 0.72, root-mean-square error [RMSE] = 0.40) is slightly better than the spectrometer (R2 = 0.65, RMSE = 0.45) at certain band points. Thus, a low-cost digital camera that is easy to operate can be used as an alternative tool for the rapid and accurate estimation of black-SOM content.  相似文献

果树是重要的农林植物。在万物智联时代,利用数字化、智能化、网络化技术建立数字果树技术体系,实现对果树生命、生产和生态复杂系统的高效感知、认知和智慧管控,对于果业实现数字化转型具有重要意义。该研究在数字植物技术范畴下,系统论述了数字果树的概念和内涵,提出了数字果树技术体系框架。重点在果树表型信息获取、环境数据获取、三维模型计算、数字育种、果树大数据和虚拟现实技术等方面综述了数字果树研究进展。从产业应用角度,综述了数字果树技术在树形管理、生长监测、种植管理、农技培训、品牌营销等方面应用效果和挑战。最后,展望了数字果树发展趋势、研究热点和技术突破方向,以期为数字果树的进一步发展提供思路与借鉴。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The Grange was founded during a time when farmers were the majority of the population and secrecy was a means of survival. More than one hundred thirty-five years later, those characteristics are still strongly associated with it. Yet there is a growing consciousness among many members that the Grange has to become better at promoting itself among nontraditional constituencies-or it will die. This article explores the Grange experiences of five members. All have been profoundly affected by their membership. All are struggling with the need to reconcile loyalty to tradition with the need to change and adapt. In sharing their thoughts and feelings, the study has the opportunity to consider what the Grange's past was, what its present is, and what its future may become.  相似文献

To assist agricultural librarians in their new role as digital preservation and distribution specialists, this article documents the basic procedures for scanning and digitizing print agricultural serial publications and submitting them to a DSpace digital repository, through a case study of a project at Texas A&M University Libraries to digitize Texas Agricultural Experiment Station Bulletins. It is hoped that a dispersed network of similar agricultural materials in all the various land grant university digital repositories could be crawled to harvest the metadata records and make them accessible in a central user-friendly digital library for agriculture.  相似文献

为实现复杂装备数字化资源库3D模型的智能存储、组织管理与高效检索,该文以大豆播种装备为研究对象,在谱系层次划分基础上,分析各零部件间的功能与几何相关性,利用模糊聚类分析法对零部件进行单元聚合,研究大豆播种装备的模块化分解,构建出具有系统性、完整性及可程序转化性的大豆播种装备谱系拓扑图。并采用以谱系拓扑图为基础路径的谱系模块编码加“对象、特征、量值”的物元语义编码形式组织与标识模型资源,且利用Visual Basic软件将具有谱系语义特征的拓扑图信息转化为程序代码,可实现对模型的规范化标注与快速检索。研究结果表明通过模块聚类法构建完成具有谱系语义编码特征的拓扑图能科学有效地引导模型资源的组织与检索,是建立系统的、具有层次化、系列化和参数化特征的3D模型资源集合的基础,研究结果为类似复杂机械装备数字化资源库的开发与应用提供了技术模版和基础理论。  相似文献
