刺激隐核虫病是双斑东方鲀养殖生产中的主要致死性寄生虫病,为安全、有效地防治刺激隐核虫病,开展了硫酸铜对双斑东方鲀幼鱼的急性毒性试验及硫酸铜对双斑东方鲀刺激隐核虫病的治疗效果试验。急性毒性试验结果显示,硫酸铜对双斑东方鲀幼鱼24、48、72、96 h半致死质量浓度分别为7.94、7.12、5.32、4.44 mg/L,其安全质量浓度为1.72 mg/L。刺激隐核虫病治疗试验结果表明,1.0、1.5 mg/L的硫酸铜质量浓度对病鱼治疗有效,药浴后刺激隐核虫虫体活力下降,第3 d部分虫体解体或脱落,药浴5 d治愈;0.5 mg/L硫酸铜对病鱼治疗效果不佳,病情继续发展,第8 d病鱼死亡。临床上建议使用硫酸铜质量浓度1.0 mg/L治疗双斑东方鲀刺激隐核虫病。本研究对其他鱼类刺激隐核虫病及其纤毛虫病治疗也具有一定的借鉴意义。  相似文献

硫化物是水产养殖过程中常见的水体污染物之一。为探讨水体硫化物胁迫对虾类血细胞的毒性影响,以不同浓度(0.5 mg/L,2.0 mg/L)的硫化物对凡纳滨对虾(Litopenaeus vannamei)进行胁迫,于胁迫后6、12、24和48 h取血淋巴,应用流式细胞术测定血细胞的总数(THC)、活性氧(ROS)含量、一氧化氮(NO)含量以及凋亡率。结果显示,经0.5 mg/L硫化物胁迫48 h后,对虾THC显著下降至11.78×10~6个/mL,为对照组的72.7%(P0.05),ROS含量为对照组的225.2%(P0.05),血细胞凋亡率显著上升至7.42%(P0.05);经2.0 mg/L硫化物胁迫6 h开始,对虾THC呈现显著的下降(P0.05),血细胞ROS含量和凋亡率显著提高(P0.05);表明硫化物胁迫刺激对虾血细胞产生大量ROS,诱导血细胞凋亡,从而导致THC下降,这一过程可能是硫化物导致虾类细胞免疫下降的重要机制;随着硫化物浓度的升高,其细胞毒性作用明显提高。血细胞NO含量在2.0 mg/L硫化物胁迫12和48 h时显著升高(P0.05),推测NO可能在硫化物胁迫防御调控中起着信号因子的作用。  相似文献

为揭示河口区陆基养虾塘可溶性有机碳(DOC)、营养盐、叶绿素a时空动态变化及其生态化学计量特征,在福建省闽江河口鳝鱼滩选择3个陆基养虾塘作为研究对象,于2018年5-10月原位测定养虾塘水温、pH、盐度、溶解氧指标,并采集不同深度水样,实验室测定DOC、可溶性无机氮(DIN)、磷酸盐(PO43--P)、叶绿素a浓度,探讨其主要影响因素。结果表明,养虾塘水体中DOC、DIN、PO43--P和叶绿素a质量浓度分别介于5.73~16.79 mg·L-1、0.04~1.80 mg·L-1、0.03~0.16 mg·L-1和15.02~443.08μg·L-1,均存在明显的时空变化特征;养虾塘水体DOC、营养盐、叶绿素a浓度受到养殖水体水环境参数、人为活动、养殖生物的共同影响;养虾塘水体碳(C)、氮(N)、磷(P)营养元素组成与植物、土壤之间具有相似性,并且表现为碳盈余和氮限制。在养殖过程中,加强对养虾塘水体营养盐和叶绿素a的动态变化监测,通过人为方式调节养虾塘水体C、N、P比率,对于防止养虾塘水体富营养化,促进养虾塘生态系统绿色可持续生产具有重要作用。  相似文献

Sediment oxygen demand (SOD) measured in 45 commercial channel catfish ponds in northwest Mississippi using in situ respirometry ( N = 167) ranged from 63 to 1,038 mg/m2 per h. Mean SOD in this study (359 mg/m2 per h) was greater than that reported previously for catfish ponds but was similar to SOD in semi-intensive marine shrimp ponds. Nine variables were selected and measured to assess their relative importance in accounting for variation in SOD. Six variables were included in multiple regression models that explained slightly more than half of the variation in SOD. These variables were: dissolved oxygen concentration at the beginning of respirometry incubation:, particulate organic matter concentration in water above the sediment surface: organic carbon concentration at the immediate sediment-water interface (flocculent or F-layer) combined with the upper 2 cm of sediment (S-layer); organic carbon concentration in the mature (M) underlying sediment layer: water temperature: and total depth of accumulated sediment. Sediment oxygen demand was most sensitive to changes in dissolved oxygen concentration in the overlying water, particulate organic matter concentration in the water, and the concentration of organic carbon in the combined flocculent and upper sediment (F+S) layer. Models for SOD in this research predict that the mass of sediment below the upper 2-cm surface layer on average contributes only ∼20% of total SOD. Stratification and normal daily fluctuation of dissolved oxygen concentration in eutrophic culture ponds likely limit expression of sediment oxygen demand. Maintaining aerobic conditions at the sediment-water interface will minimize accumulation of organic matter in pond sediment.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted for 8 weeks at the Cantho University, Vietnam, to determine the acceptable level of mangrove leaf litter load and its effect on water quality, growth and survival rate of tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon). Shrimps were cultured in plastic tanks containing 50 L of brackish water (salinity of 15‰). Leaf litter of Rhizophora apiculata, Avicennia officinalis, Excoecaria agallocha and Acacia auriculiformis were loaded to tanks at rates of 0.0 (control), 0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g L− 1 with and without aeration. Tiger shrimp post-larvae (PL; 0.05 ± 0.01 g) obtained from the shrimp hatchery of Cantho University were stocked at a density of 20 PL per tank and fed with pelleted feed containing 38% protein at a rate of 10% body weight (BW) day− 1.

The high leaf-loading rates significantly reduced dissolved oxygen (DO) and survival rates of shrimp in the non-aerated treatments, and all shrimps died after 2 days in the treatments with loading rates above 0.5 g L− 1. Leaf litter loads significantly increased tannin content, chemical oxygen demand (COD), H2S and pH in the aerated treatments. Stepwise regression analysis showed COD, tannin and H2S concentrations had negative effects on shrimp growth in the aerated treatments. Tannin concentration was found to be highest in the treatments with Excoecaria (32 mg L− 1) and Avicennia (24 mg L− 1) leaves. However, there were no significant differences in growth and survival rates of shrimp among the aerobic treatments loaded with different leaf types. The results of this study showed that moderate load of mangrove leaves could play an important role in promoting shrimp growth and survival in aerobic condition. Mangrove leaves at a loading rate of 1 g L− 1 positively influenced both the survival and growth rate of shrimps.  相似文献

Low‐salinity waters of inland shrimp ponds in Nakhon Nayok, Chachoengsao, Prachin Buri, and Samut Sakhon Provinces of Thailand often had concentrations of potassium and magnesium below those expected for normal seawater diluted to the same salinity. However, in Samut Sakhon Province – where the sampling area was nearer the coast – ponds typically had higher concentrations of these two cations than did ponds in the other three provinces. Studies of inland, shrimp ponds at Banglane in Nakhon Pathom Province revealed that magnesium additions to maintain a target concentration near 100 mg/L resulted in greater (P < 0.05) shrimp survival, size, and production than obtained in control ponds. Although potassium additions to ponds (75 mg/L target concentration) did not improve shrimp survival or production, the control ponds had potassium concentration higher than those previously reported for ponds in Alabama where potassium treatment was highly beneficial to shrimp survival and production. A study conducted using laboratory, soil‐water systems with soil from one site did not remove potassium and magnesium from the water, while soil from two other sites removed potassium and magnesium from water – but at different rates.  相似文献

A 12‐wk experiment was conducted to determine the dietary biotin requirement of the fingerling Catla catla (7.9 ± 0.37 cm; 3.5 ± 0.12 g). Eight diets (35% crude protein, 16.72 kJ/g gross energy) with different levels of biotin (0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 mg/kg diet) were fed to triplicate groups of fish to apparent satiation. Highest percent weight gain, protein retention efficiency, and best feed conversion ratio were observed in fish fed 0.5 mg biotin per kg diet. However, fish fed diets containing dietary biotin of 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 mg/kg did not show significant (P > 0.05) differences compared to those fed on dietary biotin of 0.5 mg/kg. Hematological indices, including hematocrit value, hemoglobin content, and red blood cell counts were found to be directly proportional (P < 0.05) to the dietary biotin levels up to 0.5 mg/kg, beyond which a plateau was recorded. Pyruvate carboxylase activity (PCA) was also found to increase with the incremental levels of dietary biotin up to 0.5 mg/kg and further increasing dietary biotin concentration led to stagnation in PCA of fish. Liver biotin concentrations responded positively (P < 0.05) until saturation, which occurred at 1.0 mg/kg diet. Broken‐line analysis of percent weight gain, protein retention efficiency, PCA, and liver biotin concentrations demonstrated that fingerling C. catla require biotin in the range of 0.41–0.87 mg/kg diet.  相似文献

Total protease, trypsin and chymotrypsin activities were examined in postlarval Farfantepenaeus californiensis (Holmes) after they had been reared for 50 days at two dissolved oxygen concentrations (5.8 and 2.6 mg L−1) and three temperatures (19, 23 and 27 °C). Three replicated experiments were performed with a 12-h light/dark photoperiod. Two-way analysis of variance indicated a significant effect of temperature and oxygen (P < 0.05) on total protease and chymotrypsin activities, but no effect of oxygen was found on trypsin activity. A tendency towards increased protease, trypsin and chymotrypsin activities with acclimation temperature was observed. Total protease activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.26 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 1.41 in shrimp held at 23 °C and high oxygen concentration. Trypsin activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.16 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 0.86 in shrimp held at 27 °C and high oxygen concentration. Chymotrypsin activity (units per mg protein) varied from 0.014 in shrimp held at 19 °C and low oxygen concentration to 0.15 (units per mg protein) in shrimp held at 27 °C and low oxygen concentration. Sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) zymograms of hepatopancreas from each of the treatment groups showed numerous bands. The results suggest that different digestive protease enzymes arise as an adaptation mechanism to temperature and dissolved oxygen variations at this particular stage of life.  相似文献

Dietary potassium requirement of juvenile grass shrimp Penaeus monodon   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
ABSTRACT: A feeding trial was conducted to estimate the minimal dietary potassium (K) requirement for juvenile grass shrimp Penaeus monodon . Purified diets with seven levels (0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 2.0 g/100 g) of supplemental potassium were fed to P. monodon (mean initial weight 0.75 ± 0.01 g) for 8 weeks. Each diet was fed to three replicate groups of shrimp. The rearing water contained 360 mg/L potassium. Weight gain and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of shrimp improved as dietary potassium supplementation level increased up to 1.5 g K/100 g diet and thereafter declined significantly ( P < 0.05). Feed efficiency (FE) of shrimp also showed a similar trend. However, whole body K concentration of the shrimp kept an increasing trend up to 2.0 g K/100 g diet. Analysis of the weight gain (percent) and PER of the shrimp by polynomial regression indicate that the minimal dietary potassium requirement in growing P. monodon is approximately 1.2 g/100 g.  相似文献

Abstract This study was undertaken to determine the effect of salinity and pH on tolerance to low dissolved oxygen concentration in postlarval (PL 12; 18 mg wet weight) and early juvenile (720 mg wet weight) Peneaus setiferus . Lethal levels of dissolved oxygen were determined in animals at four combinations of salinity and pH (36 and 15 ppt salinity and pH 6 and 8). For postlarvae, the 48-h LC50 for dissolved oxygen was 1.27 mgO2/L at 15 ppt and pH8, and was significantly lower than that obtained in the other combinations of salinity and pH (P < 0.05). For juveniles, the 72-h LC50 was 1.16 mg1L at 15 ppt and pH 8, and was significantly lower than that obtained in the other combinations of salinity and pH (P < 0.05). A significant interaction between salinity and pH was observed. These results suggest that the intensive culture of P. setiferus may be conducted at moderate salinity, where shrimp appear to be more tolerant of low concentrations of oxygen than at higher salinities.  相似文献

Determination of the proper level of supplemental aeration in intensive shrimp culture is critical for maintaining adequate concentrations of dissolved oxygen while minimizing equipment and operating costs. Little quantitative information is available on sizing the amount of aeration equipment to various levels of intensification.

Results indicate that dawn dissolved oxygen (mg/liter) can be predicted based upon the amount of feed applied (kg/ha day) per unit aeration (hpday/ha). The amount of feed which can be applied with a given amount of supplemental aeration and a reasonable expectation that dawn dissolved oxygen will not be below a targeted concentration is expressed by the equation F/A = 28·83 − (4·31 × DO).  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of a hot water extract of brown seaweeds Sargassum duplicatum and Sargassum wightii on the growth and white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) resistance in shrimp Penaeus monodon postlarvae (PL). Artemia nauplii (instar II) were enriched with both seaweed extracts at various concentrations (250, 500 and 750 mg L?1) and fed to the respective P. monodon (PL15–35) group for 20 days. A control group was also maintained without seaweed extract supplementation. The weight gain of the experimental groups was significantly higher (0.274–0.323 g) than the control group (0.261 g). Similarly, the specific growth rate was also significantly higher (16.27–17.06%) in the experimental groups than in the control group (16.03%). After 20 days of the feeding experiment, the shrimp PL were challenged with WSSV for 21 days. During the challenge test, the control shrimp displayed 100% mortality within 8 days. In contrast, the mortality percentage of the highest concentration (750 mg L?1) of seaweed extract enriched Artemia nauplii fed shrimp was 54–79%. Comparatively, low mortality was observed in S. wightii extract‐enriched Artemia nauplii fed shrimp. The polymerase chain reaction analysis indicated the concentration‐dependent infection of WSSV in P. monodon PL.  相似文献

The white shrimp Penaeus setiferus is a potential species for culture in the Gulf of Mexico. It has been demonstrated that postlarval P. setiferus is a species sensitive to ammonia and nitrite. In this study, the effect of ammonia and nitrite on the oxygen consumption of Penaeus setiferus postlarvae subjected to different dissolved oxygen concentrations was investigated. Un-ionized ammonia tended to reduce the oxygen consumption of P. setiferus postlarvae. The addition of 0.4 mg/L un-ionized ammonia-N modified the response of the postlarvae to lower dissolved oxygen levels. Exposure to 0.7 mg/L un-ionized ammonia-N caused severe effects on the respiratory rate and it was lethal at low dissolved oxygen concentrations. Nitrite exposure decreased the respiratory rate of post-larvae in high dissolved oxygen concentrations, whereas postlarvae exposed to nitrite under hypoxic conditions showed higher oxygen consumption than unexposed animals. The decreases of the oxygen consumption induced by the interactive effect of ammonia or nitrite and low dissolved oxygen concentration indicate a harmful condition. The results indicate that P. setiferus postlarvae is a sensitive organism to the combined effect of un-ionized ammonia or nitrite and low dissolved oxygen concentrations.  相似文献

A feeding trial was conducted to determine the dietary folic acid requirement of juvenile grass shrimp, Penaeus monodon. Purified basal diets were formulated using vitamin-free casein as the protein source. Graded levels (0, 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 mg folic acid/kg diet) of folic acid were added to the basal diet, resulting in eight dietary treatments in the experiment. Each diet was fed to three replicate groups of shrimp initially averaging 0.79±0.01 g for 8 weeks. Shrimp fed diets supplemented with 2 mg folic acid/kg diet had greater (P<0.05) weight gain and hepatopancreatic folic acid concentrations than shrimp fed the unsupplemented control diet. Feed efficiency (FE) was highest in shrimp fed the diets supplemented with 2 mg folic acid/kg diet, followed by the groups fed 1 mg/kg, then the control group. Hepatosomatic index (HSI) was highest in shrimp fed the control diet, followed by 1 mg folic acid/kg and lowest in shrimp fed diets supplemented with 2 mg folic acid/kg. Weight gain percentage, hepatopancreatic folic acid concentration and hepatosomatic index of the shrimp analyzed by broken-line regression indicated that the adequate dietary folic acid concentration in growing P. monodon is 1.9–2.1 mg/kg diet.  相似文献

为了探讨溶解氧浓度变化对厚壳贻贝(Mytilus coruscus)摄食和代谢的影响, 分析贝壳开放行为和呼吸代谢的相关关系, 观察测定了 8 mg/L、6 mg/L、4 mg/L、2 mg/L 和 1 mg/L 溶解氧水平下厚壳贻贝贝壳开放程度、滤水率、耗氧率和排氨率, 并计算了氧氮比值。结果显示, 溶解氧浓度在 4 mg/L 及以上水平时, 厚壳贻贝的贝壳持较大程度开放, 而当溶解氧浓度降至 2 mg/L 及以下后, 贝壳逐渐关闭; 溶解氧浓度降至 4 mg/L 后, 贻贝滤水率显著下降; 溶解氧浓度在 2~8 mg/L 间, 贻贝耗氧率无显著变化, 降至 1 mg/L 后, 耗氧率显著下降; 排氨率与滤水率和耗氧率呈相反趋势, 溶解氧浓度降至 2 mg/L 后, 贻贝排氨率显著上升; 降至 4 mg/L 后, 氧氮比值显著下降; 贝壳开放程度与滤水率、耗氧率之间呈正相关关系。研究表明, 厚壳贻贝可以适应一定范围内溶解氧浓度的波动, 保持机体代谢水平相对稳定; 当环境溶解氧降至 1 mg/L 以下, 机体无法再维持正常的代谢, 厚壳贻贝部分关闭贝壳, 以降低能量消耗, 应对低氧胁迫。本研究可为厚壳贻贝低氧适应机制研究和养殖提供参考。  相似文献

PVC pipes, 10 cm in diameter and 46 cm long, sealed at one end and filled with 18 ppt of artificial seawater and a 6-cm layer of substrate, were tested as experimental units for the culturing of penaeid shrimp. The growth substrate was prepared by mixing 70% quartz sand, 24% Georgia kaolin, 5% Gonzales bentonite and 1% Bermuda grass hay. One juvenile Penaeus vannamei was placed in each container and shrimp weight gain was monitored. In the first study (four replicates), shrimp grew to 8.15 g within 8 weeks at a rate of ≈1 g week−1 with no mortality; thereafter, growth decreased and 25% mortality was observed. In the second study (seven replicates), the average weight of shrimp was 8.66 g in 10 weeks, with 29% mortality occurring between the seventh and eighth week. The composition of sediment pore water was determined for ponds constructed on clayey Ultisols at Auburn, Alabama. Pore water was anaerobic and contained much higher concentrations of ferrous iron (Fe2+), soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP), total phosphorus (TP), total ammonia-nitrogen (TAN), and sulfide (S2−) than surface or bottom waters. Concentrations of SRP and TP in pore water were higher in ponds with high soil phosphorus concentrations than in a new pond with less soil phosphorus. Increased concentrations of organic matter in soil or larger inputs of feed to ponds favored greater microbial activity in soils and higher concentrations of TAN in pore water. The pH of pore water was 6.5–7.0, and pH was apparently controlled by the equilibrium:

Movement of Fe2+, SRP, and S2− from pore water into pond water apparently was prevented by the oxidized layer of soil just below the soil-water interface. Pond managers should concentrate on maintaining this oxidized layer to reduce the tendency for toxic substances to diffuse into the pond water.  相似文献

Vertical water circulation by the paddle wheel aerator was determined by measuring dissolved oxygen profiles in a 3.6-m deep watershed pond during daylight hours, using aerated and non-aerated treatments. The paddle wheel aerator circulated the well-oxygenated surface water to the pond bottom, producing a uniform dissolved oxygen profile in the aerated treatment, while the non-aerated treatment maintained high dissolved oxygen concentrations near the surface with low dissolved oxygen concentrations near the pond bottom. The aerated treatment contained 35.6% less dissolved oxygen than the non-aerated treatment after four hours as a result of operating the aerator during the daytime. The paddle wheel aerator, with a shallow (10 cm) paddle immersion, is effective in vertically circulating water in deeper ponds. However, substantial loss of dissolved oxygen may result from operating the aerator on days with high rates of photosynthesis.  相似文献

Growth, survival, tissue ascorbate concentration and collagen content were studied in fast-growing Penaeus monodon fed two ascorbic acid (AA) derivatives. Prior to the experimental trial, shrimp (initial body weight: 0.9 ± 0.4 g) were fed on a diet lacking vitamin C for 5 weeks. During the following 13-week experiment, the shrimp (initial body weight: 8.2 ± 0.7 g) were given one of five squid-meal-based diets. The dietary treatments consisted of a diet lacking vitamin C, two diets supplemented with either 500 or 1000 mg AA kg−1 in the form of silicone-coated AA, and two diets supplemented with either 500 or 1000 mg AA kg−1 in the form of ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate. Shrimp gained 18.3 g in 13 weeks. The AA-free diet group exhibited the lowest growth rate, feed intake and survival (26.8%) after 4 weeks. Hepatopancreatic ascorbate and muscle collagen content were significantly ( P < 0.05) lower in AA-deprived shrimp. At the end of the feeding trial, growth rate and survival were not significantly ( P > 0.05) different among groups fed AA-supplemented diets. Hepatopancreatic and haemolymphatic ascorbate concentrations were significantly ( P < 0.05) higher in groups given ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate than in groups given silicone-coated AA. A supplement of 500 mg AA kg−1 diet in the form of either silicone-coated AA or ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate was adequate for optimal growth. But ascorbate concentrations in tissues remained much below saturation levels with a supplement of 1000 mg AA kg−1 diet. It is questionable whether the established vitamin C requirements for P. monodon are adequate to maintain tissue ascorbate in fast-growing juveniles.  相似文献
