In a feeding trial lasting for months Halothane-positive fattening pigs were put on a diet containing different concentrations of vitamin E and selenium. After a Myostress application vitamin E and selenium were additionally injected in order to examine stress resistance (CK-test) and regenerative capacity (histological examination of Musculus longissimus dorsi) of skeletal muscle. The study revealed that neither high dietary levels of vitamin E/selenium nor a vitamin E/selenium treatment applied after stress are capable of preventing stress related myopathy nor can they influence its healing up favourably.  相似文献

本研究采用2×5双因子试验设计,即在基础饲料中分别添加0和0.15 mg/kg的Se,每一Se水平下分别添加0、30、60、90、120 mg/kg的维生素E(VE),共制成10种试验饲料,饲喂平均初始体质量为(0.37±0.01)g的吉富罗非鱼(Oreochromis niloticus)70 d,每组设3个重复,每个重复组50尾吉富罗非鱼,其中饲喂未添加Se和VE的基础饲料组为对照组。结果表明,(1)VE对吉富罗非鱼幼鱼增重率、特定生长率、摄食量和饲料系数均有显著影响(P0.05),就生长性能而言,单独添加VE的适宜范围是63.86–70.58 mg/kg。Se对吉富罗非鱼的增重率、特定生长率的影响不显著(P0.05),但在VE添加量为0 mg/kg的试验组中,硒的添加使吉富罗非鱼增重率高于对照组。VE和Se对吉富罗非鱼生长的交互作用没有显著影响(P0.05)。(2)VE对谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-PX)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性有显著影响(P0.05),总超氧化物歧化酶(T-SOD)和CAT活性随VE添加量的增加呈上升趋势。而Se可显著影响T-SOD和GSH-PX的活性(P0.05),在VE添加量范围60–90 mg/kg时,加Se试验组的T-SOD、GSH-PX和CAT活性较不加Se组有所上升。VE和Se对GSH-PX活性的影响具有显著的交互作用(P0.05)。在本研究条件下,VE和Se对吉富罗非鱼的生长及抗氧化有一定促进作用,二者联合使用,没有协同促生长作用,但抗氧化作用得到进一步加强。  相似文献

The effects of dietary selenium (Se) and vitamin E and their interaction in the nutrition of yellowtail kingfish, Seriola lalandi, were investigated. Six dietary treatments were prepared in a 3 × 2 factorial arrangement (not supplemented or supplemented with Se at 1 or 2 mg kg?1 × supplemented with vitamin E at 40 or 180 mg kg?1). A group of fish in triplicate were fed one of the six experimental diets for 6 weeks, and their growth performance, haematological and immune responses were measured. The results revealed positively interactive effects between dietary Se and vitamin E in yellowtail kingfish. Se significantly increased weight gain of fish fed diets low in vitamin E, but not high in vitamin E. Simultaneous supplementation of both micronutrients resulted in significant increase in serum bactericidal activity. There was no significant effect of Se or vitamin E on survival, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, haematocrit, white blood cell counts and fillet proximate composition. However, Se and vitamin E contents in fillets were significantly responsive to dietary Se and vitamin E, respectively. The supplemental level of Se at 2 mg kg?1 significantly increased red blood cell counts and haemoglobin concentrations, while lysozyme activity in skin mucus was significantly stimulated by vitamin E. The findings of Se and vitamin E supplementation in this study can be applied to improve growth and health indices of yellowtail kingfish.  相似文献

In this case report on myopathies in 6 saddle-horses, a combined dietary vitamin E and selenium deficiency is presumed. Other disorders, such as exertional myopathy ("Monday morning disease") due to excessive energy intake or ionophore intoxication could be excluded by calculating the energy supply or by a simple colour test. The selenium requirement of horses is estimated to 0.1-0.2 mg/kg dry matter (Meyer 1986). If natural feed compounds are low in selenium, adequate amounts of this trace element can be supplied by means of supplemental feeds, sodium selenite (20 mg/500 kg BW/week) or bruised linseed (cooked, 200-500 g/d). In horses tolerance of increased selenium intake is low. After oral administration of sodium selenite lethal dose was 3.3 mg/kg bodyweight. In feedstuffs selenium concentration must be below 5 mg/kg dry matter (Traub-Dargatz et al, 1986). The intake of vitamin E should be 0.25-1 mg/kg bodyweight. The requirements are influenced by feed compounds, especially the concentration of dietary unsaturated fatty acids, and the performance of the horses (Meyer 1986). Foals, pregnant or lactating mares, and racing horses have higher requirements. In acute disease vitamin E and selenium are given parenterally (5 mg Se/horse) or by oral application of sodium selenite (46% selenium, 20 mg/horse), in addition to symptomatical treatment.  相似文献

A 60‐day feeding trial was conducted to evaluate effects and interactions of dietary Nano selenium (Nano Se) and vitamin E on performance of rainbow trout under high rearing density (80 kg/m3). Fish (42.6 ± 2.3 g) were stocked into 12 tanks: Control group fed basal diet and three treatment groups fed basal diet supplemented with 1 mg/kg Nano selenium (Nano Se group), 500 mg/kg vitamin E (Vit E group) and both micronutrients (Combination group). Results showed that growth, feed intake, lysozyme activity and agglutination antibody titre were significantly higher in Vit E and Combination groups. The lowest haematocrit, haemoglobin and cortisol levels and highest serum total protein and muscle crude protein were observed in Combination group. Serum globulin content was higher and albumin: globulin ratio was lower in treatment groups compared with Control. Also, the highest muscle catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities and lowest malondialdehyde content were observed in Combination group compared with Control. In conclusion, combined supplementation of Nano Se and vitamin E provides a synergistic interaction in preventing the immunosuppressive action of oxidative stress caused by high density and significantly improved antioxidant and immune systems, health status and growth of fish under intensive culture.  相似文献

The experiment was designed to investigate the dietary factors that might enhance or interfere with astaxanthin (Ax) absorption in salmon including potentially interfering factors such as certain carotenoids (zeaxanthin and lutein), plant sterols, fibre and enhancing compounds such as cholesterol and vitamin E. Two hundred and eighty‐eight salmon (778 ± 78 g) were reared in sea water under controlled conditions and fed practical experimental diets. The experimental diets were supplemented with 40 mg Ax kg?1, in addition to various dietary factors, including cholesterol (2%), vitamin E (450 IU kg?1), wheat bran (5%), lutein (40 mg kg?1), zeaxanthin (40 mg kg?1) and phytosterol (2%). After 26 days of feeding, blood was collected and plasma was separated to determine the plasma Ax concentration. Ax was not detected in the plasma of fish fed the non‐pigmented diet. Fish fed diet containing 2% cholesterol significantly improved Ax absorption, which was reflected in the higher Ax concentration in plasma of Atlantic salmon. Other supplements including vitamin E, wheat bran, lutein, zeaxanthin and phytosterols in diet had no significant effect on plasma Ax concentration . Fish fed diet containing 2% cholesterol significantly increased cholesterol concentration in fish plasma. Phytosterol had no benefit to lower cholesterol plasma level in fish fed 2% phytosterol‐supplemented diet.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The use of dietary antioxidants to increase the shelf life of farmed southern bluefin tuna (SBT) flesh was examined over a 10-week period using either a standard pellet (Control) or high-vitamin pellet (HV) fortified with vitamin E, vitamin C, and selenium. Following harvest, muscle samples were taken and assessed for antioxidant content. Flesh color shelf life was assessed in muscle stored at 4°C for 8 days. Muscle vitamin levels were significantly higher in the HV group than the Control group for vitamin E (20.4 ± 1.74 vs 9.7 ± 0.89 mg/kg) and vitamin C (29.1 ± 4.36 vs 4.3 ± 0.41 mg.kg–1), but selenium levels were not higher. Muscle samples from the HV group had a slower rate of browning than did those from the Control group, particularly over days 4 to 7 of storage. Results indicated that feeding a diet approximately 10 times higher in dietary antioxidants raised levels of vitamin E and vitamin C, but not selenium, in tuna flesh and increased the shelf life of tuna.  相似文献

在基础饲料中分别添加维生素E(VE)(60mg/kg标为e或300mg/kg标为E)和硒(Se)(0mg/kg标为s或2.5mg/kg标为S),制成4种试验饲料(s/e,s/E,S/e,S/E)分别饲喂初始体重为38.5±0.15g的牙鲆70d,观察其对生长性能、肝脏及血清中谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)活性、非特异免疫力以及抗病力的影响。结果表明,饲喂添加高剂量VE的两组饲料(s/E,S/E),牙鲆的特定生长率和吞噬率明显地提高(P0.05)。饲喂添加硒的两组饲料(S/e,S/E),牙鲆血液和肝脏的GSH-Px活性显著升高(P0.05)。70d投喂实验结束后,利用鳗弧菌进行攻毒试验,不添加硒和低剂量VE(s/e)使牙鲆的累积死亡率明显高于其他3组。  相似文献

为了高值化利用罗非鱼副产物资源以及为酶解物-硒螯合物的产业化提供理论依据,本实验以罗非鱼鱼皮胶原蛋白(TSC)为原料,用4种蛋白酶对其进行酶解,分别获得了酸性蛋白酶酶解物(TSCAc)、木瓜蛋白酶酶解物(TSCP)、菠萝蛋白酶酶解物(TSCB)、碱性蛋白酶酶解物(TSCAl),以Na2SeO3为硒源,制备并筛选出硒螯合量最高的酶解物,测定酶解物及其硒螯合物的紫外光谱、荧光光谱、红外光谱、表面疏水性,并对酶解物及其硒螯合物的抗氧化性与抗氧化稳定性进行分析。结果显示,TSCAl的水解度(DH)最高(18.2%),其与硒螯合后的硒螯合量最高(153.5 mg/g),硒螯合率最高(23.7%),小分子量(500~1 000 u)的含量最高。其与硒螯合后,紫外光谱吸收峰强度增大,荧光光谱吸收峰由波长419.8 nm红移到422.0 nm且荧光强度减弱,疏水性在螯合后降低,表明TSCAl与硒螯合生成了新的物质。推测酰胺键、氨基的氮原子、羧基的氧原子可能参与了与硒的螯合反应。研究表明,碱性蛋白酶酶解物-硒螯合物(TSCAl-Se)具有良好的抗氧化性,其在不...  相似文献

Two concurrent 12-week feeding trials were conducted to evaluate the bioavailability of inorganic sodium selenite and organic seleno-DL-methionine and to investigate the potential interaction between selenium and vitamin E in juvenile hybrid striped bass. In experiment 1, purified diets utilizing casein, gelatin and an amino acid premix as protein sources with a basal selenium concentration of 0.11 mg Se   kg−1 were supplemented with either Na2SeO3 to provide selenium concentrations of 1.19, 2.00, 5.17 and 21.23 mg Se kg−1 or with seleno-DL-methionine to provide 0.90, 1.26 and 2.55 mg Se kg−1 and fed to juvenile hybrid striped bass in aquaria. A second experiment evaluated potential interactions by feeding these purified diets with or without supplemental vitamin E or sodium selenite, singularly or in combination. No overt selenium deficiency signs were exhibited by fish in either of the experiments; however, signs of selenium toxicity including retarded weight gain (WG), reduced feed intake and feed efficiency ratio (FER) as well as increased mortality, were observed in fish fed the diet containing more than 20 mg Se kg−1. Whole-body selenium and whole-body selenium retention were linearly influenced by sodium selenite and selenomethionine. However, there was no significant effect of dietary selenium, vitamin E or their interaction on WG, FER and survival. Slope-ratio analysis showed that bioavailability of seleno-DL-methionine as a selenium source for juvenile hybrid striped bass was significantly ( P  < 0.01) higher (3.3-fold) than sodium selenite.  相似文献

In lambs with a very restricted intake of nutrients and an increase of the body mass of less than 60 g per day (group A) and in those with an increase of more than 220 g/day (group B), analyses of components of the blood and the plasma were performed at certain intervals. In the lambs of group A an anemia developed in the course of 77 days. The concentrations of alpha-amino-N, non-protein-N, urea, glucose and insulin as well as the activity of the alkaline phosphatase of the plasma of the lambs of group A were always lower than those of group B. The beta-hydroxybutyrate concentration of the lambs of group A on the 7th and 21st day of the experiment was higher than that of group B. The concentrations of inorganic phosphate and iron in the plasma of group A at most points during the study were lower than that in group B.  相似文献

对五株假丝酵母菌株进行利用淀粉废水和转化硒元素的筛选试验,其中CY-173菌株所得的蛋白质含量和蛋白态硒总量最多.对其进行耐高温试验,在33~45℃范围内,菌株都能生长,但超过40℃生长速度开始减缓,45℃时明显受到抑制.在6L标准发酵罐内进行pH与温度条件试验,pH在3~5之间,菌株生长差异不显著;在33~40℃范围内,菌株都能较好生长,但以37℃的蛋白质含量与蛋白态硒总量为最高.将所得的硒酵母替代部分鱼粉用于养殖中国对虾,结果三组硒酵母饲料(含10%、20%、30%硒酵母)的养殖效果均优于对照饲料,其中10%硒酵母添加量的饲料(含硒0.6×10-6),其饵料系数最低,为2.56,比对照组的2.95减少了13.3%.  相似文献

In a collection of newborn calves including DRB, DSB and DFV breeds (n = 27) the plasma Selenium concentration was measured directly after parturition up until six weeks after parturition by means of neutron-activating analysis. Minimal Selenium concentration occurred on the fourth day. The values of the subsequent Selenium concentrations exceeded those immediately after parturition only slightly. The tested group could be divided into two subgroups, one of which consisted of calves with extremely low initial Selenium concentrations, whereas the animals in the others showed high levels immediately after parturition (0.019 +/- 0.004 micrograms/ml versus 0.046 +/- 0.010 micrograms/ml of plasma). The diagrams appeared to be parallel on two different levels. Nine out of 10 calves with low Selenium levels showed after parturition retarded development and/or suffered from various diseases whereas the other calves (n = 17) showed no signs of clinical disease nor alterations in the race-specific development throughout the testing period.  相似文献

We wanted to optimize the procedure for the selenium enrichment of farmed African catfish, using garlic as dietary selenium source. In the first experiment we established the relation between the length of the selenium enrichment period and the resulting total selenium level in the fillet of the fish. It was found that at a dietary level of 11.7 mg kg?1 Se, a total selenium level in the fillet of 0.7 mg kg?1 was reached in a relatively short enrichment period of 10 days before harvest. In the second experiment we studied the effect of depuration on the selenium level in the fillet and the sensory properties of selenium‐enriched African catfish. It was found that total selenium levels in the fillet were not affected during a 7‐day depuration period, while garlic odours and flavours in the raw and cooked fillets were significantly reduced after 2 days of depuration. We concluded that selenium enrichment of farmed African catfish can be obtained by selenium‐enriched finishing diets, while garlic odours and flavours resulting from dietary garlic can be effectively reduced in the fillet during a short depuration period without negatively affecting fillet levels of total selenium.  相似文献

Levels of the selenium-containing imidazole compound selenoneine and overall organic selenium were measured in the muscle of fishes by speciation analysis. The method involves monitoring 82Se levels by liquid chromatography inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy using a gel filtration column. Selenoneine levels were found to be highest in swordfish muscle (concentration 2.8 nmol/g tissue). The selenoneine contents of bigeye tuna, Pacific bluefin tuna, albacore, yellowfin tuna, and alfonsino muscle were 1.3–2.6 nmol/g tissue. In muscle of these fishes, most organic selenium (9–42%) was present as selenoneine. In other fish species, such as Pacific sardine, greeneye, skipjack, Pacific mackerel, horse mackerel, red sea bream, and Japanese barracuda, selenoneine levels were 0.1–1.4 nmol/g tissue, accounting for 3–34% of organic selenium. In contrast, muscle of Japanese conger, Japanese anchovy, chum salmon, Pacific saury, white croaker, and marbled sole contained levels of selenoneine below the level of detection (<0.05 nmol/g tissue). Mercury and selenium contents were 0.01–5.12 nmol/g tissue and 1.4–19.1 nmol/g tissue. The Se-to-Hg molar ratio varied from species to species, ranging from 1 for swordfish to 217 for marbled sole.  相似文献

为探讨硒对铜胁迫下大菱鲆幼鱼生长、抗氧化能力及相关基因表达的影响,以初始体质量为(24.85±0.10) g的大菱鲆为研究对象,通过在饲料中添加五水硫酸铜和亚硒酸钠,配制铜、硒含量分别为(0、0,1 000、0,1 000、2,1 000、4 mg/kg) 4种等氮等能的实验饲料,命名为D1、D2、D3和D4组。养殖实验持续84 d。结果显示:①各组间实验鱼成活率无显著差异;增重率、特定生长率和蛋白质效率均在D2组显著低于D1、D3和D4组;摄食率和饲料系数呈相反趋势,在D2组显著高于其他3组。②幼鱼全鱼和肝脏粗脂肪含量呈先下降后上升趋势;而背肌粗蛋白和粗脂肪含量在各组之间无显著性差异。全鱼、脊椎骨和肝脏中Cu含量在D2组达到最高值;Zn含量则在D4组达到最高值;肝脏中铁含量呈下降趋势,在D3和D4组显著低于D1和D2组。③D2组显著降低了幼鱼血清总抗氧化能力(T-AOC)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)活性;丙二醛(MDA)含量则呈相反趋势,在D2组显著高于D3和D4组;总超氧化物歧化酶(T-SOD)和铜—锌超氧化物歧化酶(CuZn-SOD)活性均在D4组达到最低值。④血清谷丙转氨酶(ALT)、谷草转氨酶(AST)活性均在D2组显著高于其他3组;而血糖浓度、总胆固醇(TC)、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)和低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)活性均在D2组达到最低值,显著低于D1组。⑤肝脏金属硫蛋白(MT) mRNA相对表达量在D4组达到最高值,显著高于其他3组;谷胱甘肽转移酶(GST)和溶菌酶(LZM) mRNA相对表达量均在D2组显著低于其他3组;热休克蛋白70 (HSP70) mRNA相对表达量则在D2组显著高于其他3组。综上所述,在本实验条件下,饲料中添加硒(2~4 mg/kg)可缓解高铜(1 000 mg/kg)胁迫导致的鱼体生长缓慢等症状,并可调控鱼体的抗氧化能力、生理代谢及相关基因表达量,进而对鱼体在高铜胁迫下的内环境稳态恢复具有一定的促进作用。  相似文献

试验研究不同水平的硒对种公牛精液品质的影响。试验选取9头种公牛,随机分成3组,分别饲喂不同硒水平的日粮,硒的添加水平为0.2、0.6、1.0mg/kg,结果表明:不同硒水平对种公牛的精子活率、畸形率和顶体完整率影响显著(P〈0.05),精液的采精量和精子密度差异不显著。综合上述结果,种公牛饲粮硒的添加量以0.6mg/kg较为适当。  相似文献

The objective of this experiment was to determine the effects of two levels of vitamin E (100 and 300 mg/kg diet) along with two levels of lipid (9 and 14%) and their interaction on growth performance of Indian white shrimp and consequently to evaluate the fatty acid composition and lipid stability of its muscle tissue during frozen storage. Growth of juvenile Indian white shrimp was not significantly affected by dietary vitamin E and lipid levels. Muscle lipid content of shrimp fed diets with 14% lipid was significantly higher than that of with 9% lipid. Obvious effects of the increase in dietary lipid level on muscle fatty acid composition were significant decrease in proportion of 16:0 and increase in proportion of 20:5n-3. The content of vitamin E concentration in shrimp muscle reflected dietary vitamin E concentration and ranged from 6.68 to 14.8 mg/kg muscle corresponding to two (100 and 300 mg/kg) levels of vitamin E in fish diet, respectively. Subsequently, results showed that by increasing the concentration of vitamin E from 100 to 300 mg/kg in diet, the rate of lipid oxidation in the muscle tissue during frozen storage was reduced and, as a result, caused higher HUFA retention in muscle of shrimp fed diet with high lipid level.  相似文献

Abstract Rainbow trout were fed practical-type diets containing 0.6, 6.6 and 114 μ g/g selenium for 16 weeks at approximately 15°C. Fish reared on the highest levels of dietary selenium had a significant reduction in final body weight, feed: gain ratio and increased mortality. Haematocrit, plasma calcium, glucose, and protein levels did not vary significantly. Ninety per cent of the fish fed the diet containing the highest level of selenium developed nephrocalcinosis. Fish with occult nephrocalcinosis had significantly increased levels of kidney calcium and those with overt nephrocalcinosis had significantly increased levels of kidney calcium and magnesium, and liver magnesium. Microscopically, the majority of renal damage was tubular with the renal interstitium becoming inflamed only when tubules degenerated. The pathogenesis of selenium-induced nephrocalcinosis is discussed.  相似文献

Despite the interest of meagre (Argyrosomus regius) as a fast‐growing candidate for Mediterranean aquaculture diversification, there is a lack of information on nutrition along larval development. Importance of highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA) and the antioxidant vitamins E and vitamin C has not been investigated yet in this species. Six diets with two levels of HUFA (0.4% and 3% dw), two of vitamin E (1500 and 3000 mg kg?1) and two of vitamin C (1800 and 3600 mg kg?1) were fed to 15 dah meagre larvae. Larval growth in total length and dry body weight was significantly lowest in larvae fed diet 0.4/150/180 and showed few lipid droplets in enterocytes and hepatocytes and lower HUFA contents than the initial larvae. Increase in dietary HUFA up to 3%, significantly improved larval growth and lipid absorption and deposition. Besides, among fish fed 3% HUFA, increase in vitamin E and vitamin C significantly improved body weight, as well as total lipid, 22:6n‐3 and n‐3 fatty acids contents in the larvae. Thus, the results showed that 0.4% dietary HUFA is not enough to cover the essential fatty acid requirements of larval meagre and a high HUFA requirement in weaning diets is foreseen for this species. Besides, the results also pointed out the importance of dietary vitamin E and C to protect these essential fatty acids from oxidation, increase their contents in the larvae and promote growth, suggesting high vitamin E and C requirements in meagre larvae (higher than 1500 and 1800 mg kg?1 for vitamin E and vitamin C respectively).  相似文献
