Tomato plants infected by tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) were composted. Although the temperature in the stack of tomato residues did not exceed 47°C during composting, ToMV was not detected in samples during composting. Moreover, tomato seedlings grown in pots containing a mixture of Russian peat and the composted material did not become infected. Because ToMV was detected in samples stored in an incubator at 47°C up to the 75th day of the incubation, it was concluded that the biological degradation of ToMV seems to play a more important role than the heat inactivation of the virus.Samenvatting Met tomatemozaïekvirus (ToMV) geïnfecteerde tomateplanten werden gecomposteerd. Hoewel de temperatuur in de composthoop tijdens de compostering niet hoger werd dan 47°C, kon ToMV niet worden geïsoleerd uit monsters, die tijdens de compostering werden genomen. Bovendien werden tomatezaailingen, die in een mengsel van potgrond met gecomposteerd materiaal waren opgegroeid, niet met het virus geïnfecteerd. Omdat ToMV tot 75 dagen na het begin van de incubatie bij 47°C in de monsters kon worden aangetoond, kan worden geconcludeerd, dat de biologische afbraak van ToMV een belangrijker rol speelt dan de inactivering ten gevolge van de warmteontwikkeling.  相似文献

The begomovirus Tomato severe rugose virus (ToSRV) and the crinivirus Tomato chlorosis virus (ToCV), in single and co-infections, are very common in tomato crops in Brazil. Both viruses are transmitted by the whitefly Bemisia tabaciMEAM1 (biotype B). The objective of this study was to analyse the interaction between ToSRV and ToCV in tomato plants of cultivars Santa Clara and Kada. Plants at 15, 30 and 45 days after emergence were inoculated with 30 viruliferous B. tabaci per plant. The following treatments were compared: plants inoculated with ToSRV, ToCV, ToSRV + ToCV, and healthy (control). The interaction between these viruses was analysed by measuring the virus titre by qPCR and the fresh and dry weights of the aerial parts of the tomato plants. Based on two independent assays, no significant effects for co-infection of ToSRV and ToCV on virus titres and plant development were observed compared to single infections. The dry weight of tomato plants of both cultivars infected with ToSRV, ToCV, or co-infected did not differ significantly. However, the dry weight of Santa Clara tomato plants infected with ToSRV, ToCV and ToSRV + ToCV showed mean reductions of 21.5%, 25.5% and 32%, respectively, compared to healthy plants, and mean reductions for Kada were 31.7%, 37.5% and 38%, respectively.  相似文献

北京大兴区某蔬菜种植基地的辣椒和番茄发现疑似病毒感染,造成较大经济损失。经症状分析和RT-PCR检测,证实其感染番茄斑萎病毒(tomato spotted wilt virus,TSWV)。基于TSWV序列特征对该地区TSWV进化及来源进行分析,结果显示其与北京顺义区已经报道TSWV毒株进化关系较近,但较国内其他地区株系更接近欧美种群,表明其可能是近几年由国外引种传入。  相似文献

Samenvatting Een methode werd ontwikkeld om de resistentie van in de kas geteelde tomateplanten tegen tomatemozaïek virus (ToMV) te bepalen. Bladeren van een vatbare en een resistente cultivar werden afgesneden en geïnoculeerd met ToMV. Na 6, 10 en 17 dagen werden de geïnoculeerde bladeren getoetst op de aanwezigheid van virus met ELISA en door inoculatie van bladeren vanNicotiana glutinosa. Met beide toetsmethoden kon de virustoename in de vatbare cultivar al vroeg na inoculatie duidelijk worden aangetoond. In de bladeren van de resistente cultivar was een zeer kleine hoeveelheid virus pas laat na de inoculatie aantoonbaar. Met deze methode is het mogelijk om de resistentie tegen ToMV te bepalen, tevens zaad te winnen en landbouwkundige eigenschappen te evalueren, zonder de plant te infecteren.  相似文献

Phelipanche and Orobanche species (broomrapes) are root holoparasitic plants that cause severe damage to economically important crops. Phelipanche and Orobanche spp. are widespread in Mediterranean areas, in Asia and in Southern and Eastern Europe, attacking dicotyledonous crops and depending entirely on their hosts for all nutritional requirements. Phelipanche aegyptiaca , Phelipanche ramosa and Orobanche cernua are extremely troublesome weeds on tomatoes. These noxious parasites exert their greatest damage prior to their shoot emergence and flowering; therefore, the majority of field loss may occur before diagnosis of infection. This review summarises the four main control measures for the weedy root parasites Phelipanche and Orobanche in tomato, namely chemical and biological control, resistant varieties and sanitation. Some of these methods are commercially widely used by farmers in Israel (chemical control), some are in the final stages of development towards commercialisation (resistant varieties and sanitation), and some still require further development and improvement before commercial implementation (biological control). The review presents an up-to-date summary of the available knowledge on their use for broomrape management in processing tomatoes.  相似文献

Tomato leaf curl Bangalore virus (ToLCBaV), a monopartite begomovirus transmitted by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci, has become a major constraint in tomato production in the Indian subcontinent. Earlier breeding efforts in India led to the adoption of tomato cultivars carrying the resistance gene Ty-2. However, it has been observed recently that such cultivars/hybrids are susceptible to begomoviruses. This requires the identification of additional or new sources of resistance against ToLCBaV. The present study was undertaken to assess the effectiveness of several Ty genes in providing resistance against infection by ToLCBaV. The kinetics of virus multiplication in different Ty resistance gene stocks of tomato were estimated and compared using quantitative PCR data. Accumulation of viral genomic units and symptom severity were lower in tomato lines carrying Ty-3 and Ty-2 + Ty-3 compared with those carrying Ty-2 alone. All tested lines carrying Ty-2 showed typical tomato leaf curl disease symptoms. Tomato lines carrying Ty-2 + ty-5 and ty-5 + Ty-6 combinations had a significantly higher disease severity index and viral genomic units compared to those carrying Ty-3 and Ty-2 + Ty-3 at 30 days postinoculation. The accumulation level of ToLCBaV genomic units serves as a good indicator for resistance selection along with other parameters of disease. We present here a comprehensive overview of the effectiveness of Ty-2, Ty-3, and ty-5 alone as well as the combinations Ty-2 + Ty-3 and Ty-2 + ty-5 against ToLCBaV.  相似文献

为探索茄果类蔬菜秸秆废弃物肥料化利用途径,于2019年设定番茄秸秆全量原位还田及腐解菌剂的配施试验:C,无番茄秸秆+无腐解菌剂;T1,番茄秸秆+无腐解菌剂;T2,番茄秸秆+菌剂1‘源动力’(1 kg·666.7m-2);T3,番茄秸秆+菌剂2‘有纯’(3 kg·666.7m-2);T4,番茄秸秆+菌剂3‘沃宝’(2 kg·666.7m-2),分析其对土壤特性和下茬番茄长势和产量的影响。结果表明:与对照相比,番茄秸秆原位还田降低土壤pH,显著增加土壤有机质、速效磷和速效钾含量(P<0.05),其中成熟期T2处理有机质含量分别比T1、T3、T4和C显著高7.3%、8.1%、14.2%和26.9%;番茄秸秆腐熟后T2处理速效磷含量分别比C、T1、T3、T4处理高24%、11.3%、4.4%和8.7%。番茄秸秆还田+腐解菌剂显著提高细菌和放线菌数量,其中放线菌数量远高于细菌和真菌数量。番茄秸秆还田对番茄的生长势和产量影响显著,增产的主要原因是番茄秸秆还田提高了单株坐果数,其中菌剂‘源动力’的增产效果优于‘有纯’和‘沃宝’。...  相似文献

Bacterial speck of tomato, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato, was observed to cause severe symptoms, especially on protected tomato crops, during the winter season in the coastal area of Lebanon. This study was conducted to investigate the aetiology and pathogenesis of the bacterium involved and the efficacy of different chemicals for the control of the disease. Biochemical, physiological and pathological tests verified the identity of the bacterium involved as P. s. tomato. Periodic histological sectioning of inoculated tomato leaves showed that bacterial cells resided and multiplied in depressions and around trichome bases for 24 h before penetration through stomata and trichome basal cells. The bacteria invaded intercellular spaces and caused cell lignification, collapse and shrinkage, 48 h after inoculation. Necrotic lesions filled with bacterial masses and collapsed lignified cells were readily observable at and after 72 h. No detectable histological changes were observed in the yellow halo region surrounding the necrotic leaf specks. A thermostable toxin was produced by the pathogen and is involved in chlorotic symptom expression. An antibiotic mixture of streptomycin + oxytetracy‐cline was most effective in controlling infections followed by copper oxychloride + mancozeb, tribasic copper sulphate + sulphur, copper oxychloride and copper oxychloride + zineb.  相似文献

In a two-year survey (2011–2012), 3220 samples were collected and analyzed in order to determine the presence and distribution of viruses in tomato crops at 56 localities of 18 districts in Serbia. Out of 12 viruses tested, Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), Potato virus Y (PVY), Alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV), Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), Tomato mosaic virus (ToMV) and Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) were detected in 42.1, 40, 11, 8.6, 2.3 and 1.3% of the total tested samples, respectively. The results revealed that CMV was prevalent in 2011 and PVY in 2012. CMV and PVY, apart from being predominant, were also the most widespread viruses. In general, single infections were the most frequent type of infection. Additionally, the most common mixed infections were double infections and the most prevalent combination was CMV and PVY. In 2011, the incidence of diseases and the percentage of all infection types were significantly higher than in 2012. Furthermore, in 2011, regardless of total single infections being prevalent compared to mixed infections, two prevailing viruses were commonly detected in mixed infections. The additional molecular testing of ELISA-negative samples using virus specific primers did not reveal the presence of Pepino mosaic virus (PepMV), Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLC), Tomato infections chlorosis virus (TICV) and Tomato chlorosis virus (ToCV).  相似文献

病毒病对番茄生产造成严重危害, 近年来在番茄种植新区发生严重, 疑似为种子带毒传播。本研究通过对云南省怒江州番茄种植新区的番茄病毒病样品采用RNA-seq高通量测序, RT-PCR验证的方法检测病毒种类;对番茄病果种子进行超薄切片制样透射电子显微镜观察, 将病果种子播种后对种苗进行RT-PCR带毒检测。结果表明, RNA-seq高通量测序及RT-PCR检测到的病毒有番茄环纹斑点病毒(tomato zonate spot orthotospovirus, TZSV)、番茄黄斑驳相关病毒(tomato yellow mottle-associated virus, TYMaV)、辣椒脉斑驳病毒(chili veinal mottle virus, ChiVMV)、南方番茄病毒(southern tomato virus, STV)。透射电镜观察到种胚细胞及胚乳细胞中分布典型的正番茄斑萎病毒属Orthotospovirus病毒粒体。病果种子播种28 d后的种苗具有病毒病症状, 通过RT-PCR检出TZSV、ChiVMV、STV, 检出率分别为60%、100%、80%。上述研究结果为TZSV通过种子传播提供了有利的证据, 并为源头防控番茄病毒病提供了依据。  相似文献

Tomato yellow leaf curl begomovirus (TYLCV), transmitted by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci , is epidemic in Africa, the Middle East and South-East Asia. It is also reported in some European countries and the American continent. In Lebanon, it is the major limiting factor for summer and autumn production of tomato. Comparison of the nucleotide sequence in the intergenic region with other reported leaf curl viruses showed the Lebanese TYLCV isolate to be closely related to Egyptian, Israeli and Jamaican isolates (94–96% identity). However, it is not closely related to isolates from Sardinia, Spain and Thailand, or to tomato leaf curl isolates from India, Taiwan and Australia. In field and greenhouse screening tests conducted for 5 years on 67 tomato lines, several were identified as promising. TY-Carla, PSR and RS lines were among the most promising with determinate growth, while S&G 143 and the DR lines were the most promising with semi-determinate and indeterminate growth, respectively. Virus concentrations in most, but not all, tolerant tomato lines were significantly lower than in the susceptible lines. None of the lines tested was immune to the virus. A survey of TYLCV alternative hosts on at least 58 plant species, using nucleic acid hybridization, showed that Amaranthus sp., Malva sp., Sonchus oleraceus , Plantago sp., Solanum melongena , Phaseolus vulgaris and Mercurialis annua may play an important role in the epidemiology of TYLCV in Lebanon. Genetic tests were carried out in the greenhouse to determine whether resistance to Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato in the tomato cultivar Ontario 7710 and in the wild accession PI 126430 (Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium) was controlled by different genes. Ontario 7710 (genotype of resistance Pto/Pto), PI 126430, their F! and F2 progenies and F( x susceptible progenies were tested for resistance to the bacterial speck pathogen. No lesions appeared on inoculated leaves in plants of Ontario 7710, PI 126430 and the Fj hybrid. F2 progenies segregated for resistance (symptomless) and susceptibility (50-80 lesions per plant) at a ratio of 15:1. Plants from the cross Fj x susceptible segregated at a ratio of 3 resistant: 1 susceptible. These data indicate that the gene for resistance in PI 126430 is different from that found in Ontario 7710. The gene symbol Pto-2 is proposed for the resistance factor in PI 126430.  相似文献

Phytohormones are involved in the regulation of plant responses to biotic stress. How a limited number of hormones differentially regulate defence responses and influence the outcome of plant–biotic interactions is not fully understood. In recent years, cytokinin (CK) was shown to induce plant resistance against several pathogens. In the present study, we investigated the effect of CK in inducing tomato resistance against the hemibiotrophic pathogenic bacteria Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria (Xcv) and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (Pst). We demonstrate that CK enhances tomato resistance to Xcv and Pst through a process that relies on salicylic acid and ethylene signalling. CK did not directly affect the growth or biofilm formation ability of these pathogens in vitro. Overall, our work provides insight into the underlying mechanisms of CK-induced immune responses against bacterial pathogens in tomato.  相似文献

It is generally believed thatVerticilliummoves slowly up a plant through spore trapping sites in the vascular tissue in a stepwise fashion. In a resistant plant, rapid defence responses around these sites slow pathogen growth and often restrict the fungus to the root and stem base. In a susceptible plant, the fungus escapes and eventually proliferates logarithmically in the upper stem and leaves. In the present study Craigella tomatoes were infected withVerticillium albo-atrum. Amounts of pathogen were monitored in the upper stems by a PCR-based quantitative assay and S1nuclease protection was used to study expression of a fungal induced phenylalanine ammonia lyase gene (tPAL5) during a 2–21 day time course. Even in resistant plants fungal colonization and PAL gene expression were found to be fully systemic from the earliest sporulation events (i.e. 2–4 days post-inoculation) and to occur in cycles, the PAL gene cycle following the colonization cycle. Peaks of pathogen growth occurred at 2–4 days and 12–15 days, succeeded by intermittent periods of fungal elimination. The results indicated that wilt is more systemic and also more dynamic in terms of fungal population fluctuations than previously thought.  相似文献

在等氮、等磷、等钾的条件下,对番茄田分别施用化肥、沼肥加化肥、沼肥加饼肥,研究不同施肥类型对番茄田节肢动物群落结构及番茄产量的影响。结果显示,施用化肥害虫种类为2.17±0.29种/m2,害虫个体数量为48.92±2.25头/m2,目标害虫桃蚜Myzus persicae(Sulzer)个体数量为40.83±1.08头/m2,均显著高于施用沼肥加化肥和沼肥加饼肥。施用沼肥加饼肥节肢动物群落多样性指数为2.4115±0.0324,均匀度指数为0.9472±0.0205,均显著高于施用化肥和沼肥加化肥,且施用沼肥加化肥显著高于施用化肥;优势度指数为0.3987±0.0224,显著低于施用化肥。施用沼肥加饼肥节肢动物群落稳定性Ss/Si指数为0.0686±0.0007,显著高于施用化肥;Sn/Sp指数为1.4153±0.0281,显著高于施用化肥和沼肥加化肥。施用沼肥加化肥、沼肥加饼肥的番茄产量与对照施用化肥相比无显著差异。表明番茄田施用沼肥减少了化肥施用量,促进了节肢动物群落的稳定性,对番茄产量无显著影响。  相似文献
