Experiments with tick-paralyzed dogs and woodchucks have shown impairment of stretch reflexes in addition to partial paralysis at the neuromuscular junction. Stretch reflexes disappear very early during paralysis, whereas nociceptive reflexes do not appear to be directly affected. The early incoordination and the ascending nature of the paralysis may be related to impairment of stretch reflex pathways.  相似文献

The dose of pneumococcal polysaccharide type III required to induce immunologic paralysis in newborn offspring of immunologically paralyzed mice was one-tenth of the corresponding paralyzing dose for newborn offspring of normal mice. Similarly, immunization of the offsprinig of the paralyzed mice was accomplished with one-tenth the dose of polysaccharide necessary to immunize normal newborn mice. The altered susceptibility of newborn mice from paralyzed mothers to the induction of both paralysis and immunity was predicted from theories of antibody formation which postulate that the induction of tolerance or immunity is controlled by the concentration of natural antibodies specific for the antigen used.  相似文献

1) Induction of humoral antibody formation involves the obligatory recognition of two determinants on an antigen, one by the receptor antibody of the antigen-sensitive cell and the other by carrier antibody (associative interaction). 2) Paralysis of antibody formation involves the obligatory recognition of only one determinant by the receptor antibody of the antigen-sensitive cell; that is, a nonimmunogenic molecule (a hapten) can paralyze antigen-sensitive cells. 3) There is competition between paralysis and induction at the level of the antigen-sensitive cell. 4) The mechanisms of low- and high-zone paralysis, and maintenance of the unresponsive state, are identical. 5) High-zone paralysis occurs when both the carrier antibody and the receptor antibody are saturated, so that associated interactions cannot take place. 6) The mechanisms of paralysis and induction for the carrier-antigen-sensitive cell are identical to those for the humoral-antigen-sensitive cell. 7) The formation of carrier-antigen-sensitive cells is thymus-dependent, whereas humoral-antigen-sensitive cells are derived from bone marrow. Since carrier antibody is required for induction, all antigens are thymus-dependent. 8) The interaction of antigen with the receptor antibody on an antigen-sensitive cell results in a conformational change in an invariant region of the receptor and consequently paralyzes the cell. As the receptor is probably identical to the induced antibody, all antibody molecules are expected to be able to undergo a conformational change on binding a hapten. The obligatory associated recognition by way of carrier antibody (inductive signal) involves a conformational change in the carrier antibody, leading to a second signal to the antigen-sensitive cell. 9) The foregoing requirements provide an explanation for self-nonself discrimination. Tolerance to self-antigens involves a specific deletion in the activity of both the humoral- and the carrier-antigen-sensitive cells.  相似文献

A virus has been isolated and serially passed in suckling rats; it causes an acute fatal paralysis associated with hemorrhage and necrosis in the brain and spinal cord. The agent is relatively resistant to heat and ether, is about 20 millimicrons in diameter, and is antigenically closely related to rat virus. Its isolation resulted from the study of occasional cases of paralysis in adult rats after administration of cyclophosphamide.  相似文献

昆虫ENF肽是一类存在于鳞翅目昆虫中,一级结构非常保守的多肽,具有诱导昆虫麻痹、血细胞扩散、抑制幼虫生长等多种生物学功能,其作用机制还不清楚.天蚕麻痹肽(Antheraea yamamai paralytic peptide,AnyPP)是昆虫ENF肽家庭成员之一.作者利用合成的天蚕麻痹肽,探讨离子通道的特异性药物在AnyPP诱导家蚕麻痹中的作用.结果表明,BK通道的特异性抑制剂IbTX可以减缓AnyPP对家蚕麻痹的诱导作用,暗示ENF肽诱导家蚕麻痹过程可能有BK通道的参与.结扎试验表明,ENF肽诱导家蚕麻痹与中枢神经系统的传导调节无关.  相似文献

Injection of rabbits with acetylcholine receptor highly purified from the electric organ of Electrophorus electricus emulsified in complete Freund's adjuvant resulted in the production of precipitating antibody to acetylcholine receptor. After the second injection of antigen, the animals developed the flaccid paralysis and abnormal electromyographs characteristic of neuromuscular blockade. Treatment with the anticholinesterases edrophonium or neostigmine dramatically alleviated the paralysis and the fatigue seen in electromyography.  相似文献

The long-term, chronic, paralysis resulting from spinal cord injury in the cat has been reversed by the use of an alpha 2-adrenergic receptor agonist, clonidine. Administration of this drug resulted in "normalization" of sensory-motor and autonomic dysfunctions. Preliminary studies of the clonidine in humans with traumatically injured spinal cord indicate that autonomic dysreflexia can be controlled and spasticity minimized. The data suggest that biochemical and pharmacologic manipulation of receptors may ameliorate paralysis following traumatic injury to the spinal cord as well as to the brain and brainstem.  相似文献

    为进一步探讨松油烯-4-醇的作用机理,以点滴法处理家蝇成虫后,测定兴奋期、痉挛期、麻痹期及复苏期4个中毒阶段试虫的4种代谢酶及酚氧化酶(PPO)活性.结果表明:松油烯-4-醇可明显激活羧酸酯酶(CarE);酸性磷酸酯酶(ACP)表现出先被激活后被抑制,在复苏期又被激活的变化过程,而碱性磷酸酯酶(AKP)被明显抑制,各期酶抑制率分别为8.0%、28.0%、45.0%和33.0%;谷胱甘肽S-转移酶(GSTs)被明显激活,各期酶比活力分别为对照的1.59、1.19、1.26和2.76倍;松油烯-4-醇可显著抑制细胞色素P450O-脱甲基活性,在麻痹期和复苏期的酶抑制率分别为46.91%和60.89%;离体和活体条件下均可显著激活PPO活性.可见,松油烯-4-醇对家蝇代谢酶系的影响与其毒杀作用有关,而中毒试虫的复苏可能与GSTs的激活有关.该化舍物可开发为新型农药或增效剂,在害虫抗性治理中具有潜在的应用价值.  相似文献

To study insecticidal mechanism of terpinen-4-ol, a main insecticidal composition in the essential oil of Sabina vulgaris, the 5th instar larvae of Mythimna separta, were investigated with terpinen-4-ol by topical application. The activities of phosphatase, glutathione S-transferase (GSTs), cytochrome P450 (P450), and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) of tested insects were determined in all poisoning stages, including exciting stage, convulsing stage, paralysis stage, and recover stage. The result showed that the activities of both acid phosphatase (ACP) and alkaline phosphatase (AKP) in treated insects were induced by terpinen-4-ol, but ACP was inhibited in paralysis stage. The activities of GSTs were inhibited in exciting stage, convulsing stage, and paralysis stage, but gradually recovered in recover stage. O-demethylase activity of cytochrome P450 was inhibited by terpinen-4-ol, and the inhibition rate in all poisoning stages were 26.27, 46.03, 80.24, and 90.22%, respectively. PPO activities were strongly inhibited by terpinen-4-ol both in vitro and in vivo. In conclusion, the activities of P450, GSTs, and PPO could have relation with toxicity of terpinen-4-ol against larvae of the Mythimna separta, but recover stage of the poisoning insects might be related to GSTs induced. As a new insecticide or synergist, terpinen- 4-ol has a potential value in field of insecticide resistance management.  相似文献

为探明贵州某地羔羊"瘫痪病"的发病原因,对患病羔羊、产病羔母羊进行解剖,采集肝脏、血液、羊毛和肌肉进行铜、钼、铁、氟微量元素的检测(排除寄生虫发病因素),研究羊体微量元素的含量与羔羊"瘫痪病"的关系。结果表明:患病羔羊肝脏铜含量为0.66~3.10mg/kg,血液铜含量为0.06~0.57mg/L,低于正常值;产病羔母羊肝脏铜为0.72mg/kg,远远低于正常值;产羔后未满月母羊血液铜含量为0.25~0.74mg/L,羊毛铜含量为1.3~8.4mg/kg,低于正常值;临产母羊血液铜含量为0.005~0.39mg/L,羊毛铜含量为0.18~9.8mg/kg,低于正常值。确诊该地区羔羊"瘫痪病"的发病原因是由铜缺乏所致。  相似文献

以松油烯-4-醇处理粘虫5龄幼虫后,测定了兴奋期、痉挛期、麻痹期及复苏期4个中毒阶段试虫的保护酶活性。结果表明,超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)被明显激活,各中毒阶段的酶活力均极显著高于对照,其中兴奋期的酶活力最大,为对照的3.04倍;处理试虫的过氧化氢酶(CAT)在兴奋期和痉挛期与对照的差异不大,而在麻痹期和复苏期被明显抑制,酶活力分别为对照的78%和92%;过氧化物酶(POD)也被明显抑制,各中毒阶段的酶比活力依次为对照的81%,86.0%,65.0%和90.0%。分析认为,中毒试虫的复苏可能与POD和CAT活力的变化有关。  相似文献
