The present study investigated the arsenic (As) remediation potential of barnyard grass (Echinochloa crus‐galli L. Beauv. var. formosensis Ohwi), with a special focus on the behavior of As in the soil in comparison with rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. Nipponbare). For both plants, very little growth inhibition was observed in the As‐contaminated soil. The amount of As in the soil was reduced by the plant's uptake and the level of As in the soil water from the rice‐growing pots was remarkably lower than that in the plant‐free soil water. In the soil with the barnyard grass, the amount of As in the soil water was higher than that in the plant‐free soil water, but the amount of As in the soil and the amount of As that was adsorbed on the soil solid were reduced by the plant's uptake. At the highest As level in the soil (100 mg kg?1), 249.60 and 101.26 µg As pot?1 were taken up by the rice shoot and barnyard grass shoot, respectively, and total amounts of 1468.65 and 1060.57 µg As pot?1 were taken up by the barnyard grass and rice seedlings, respectively. At the same As level in the soil, the As concentrations were 14.99 and 37.76 µg g?1 in the shoot of barnyard grass and rice, respectively, and 486.61 and 339.32 µg g?1 in the root of barnyard grass and rice, respectively. Barnyard grass took up more As than rice, but the As concentration in the shoot of barnyard grass was lower than that in the shoot of rice. A considerable amount of As was taken up by both barnyard grass and rice, suggesting that the plant species have the potential to remediate As‐contaminated soil.  相似文献

The effects of the fungicides benomyl, thiophanate-methyl and triadimefon on the chrysomelid beetle Gastrophysa polygoni were investigated in the laboratory. Contact with a suspension of benomyl (1.5 g a. i. litre?1 did not affect the hatchability of the eggs. Larvae were reared on shoots of knotgrass (Polygonum aviculare) that had been sprayed with suspensions of benomyl, ranging in concentration from 0.1 to 5.0 g a. i. litre?1. The mortality to the adult stage, of larvae reared on shoots treated with concentrations of benomyl of 0.5 g a. i. litre?1 and above, was significantly higher than that of control larvae. At concentrations of 2.0 g a. i. litre?1 and above, no larvae survived to the adult stage. The LD50 was 0.78 g a. i. benomyl litre?1. The LT50 values at concentrations of 1.0, 2.0 and 5.0 g a. i. benomyl litre?1 were 22.6, 12.6 and 5.3 days, respectively. The mean weights of adults bred from larvae that had been reared on shoots treated with benomyl (0.5 and 1.0 g a. i. litre?1) were significantly less than those of adults bred from control larvae. The mortality of larvae, reared on shoots of P. aviculare treated with triadimefon (0.5 g a. i. litre?1) or thiophanate-methyl (1.0 g a. i. litre?1), was also significantly higher than that of control larvae. Females kept on plants of P. aviculare treated with benomyl (1.5 g a. i. litre?1) laid similar numbers of eggs to those kept on untreated plants, and the hatchability of the eggs was not affected.  相似文献

Structure-concentration–foliar uptake enhancement relationships between commercial polyoxyethylene primary aliphatic alcohol (A), nonylphenol (NP), primary aliphatic amine (AM) surfactants and the herbicide glyphosatemono(isopropylammonium) were studied in experiments with wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and field bean (Vicia faba L.) plants growing under controlled-environment conditions. Candidate surfactants had mean molar ethylene oxide (EO) contents ranging from 5 to 20 and were added at concentrations varying from 0·2 to 10 g litre?-1 to [14C]glyphosate formulations in acetone–water. Rates and total amounts of herbicide uptake from c. 0·2–μl droplet applications of formulations to leaves were influenced by surfactant EO content, surfactant hydrophobe composition, surfactant concentration, glyphosate concentration and plant species, in a complex manner. Surfactant effects were most pronounced at 0·5 g acid equivalent (a.e.) glyphosate litre?-1 where, for both target species, surfactants of high EO content (15–20) were most effective at enhancing herbicide uptake: surfactants of lower EO content (5–10) frequently reduced, or failed to improve, glyphosate absorption. Whereas, at optimal EO content, AM surfactants caused greatest uptake enhancement on wheat, A surfactants gave the best overall performance on field bean; NP surfactants were generally the least efficient class of adjuvants on both species. Threshold concentrations of surfactants needed to increase glyphosate uptake were much higher in field bean than wheat (c. 2 g litre?-1 and < 1 g litre?-1, respectively); less herbicide was taken up by both species at high AM surfactant concentrations. At 5 and 10 g a.e. glyphosate litre?-1, there were substantial increases in herbicide absorption and surfactant addition could cause effects on uptake that were different from those observed at lower herbicide doses. In particular, the influence of EO content on glyphosate uptake was now much less marked in both species, especially with AM surfactants. The fundamental importance of glyphosate concentration for its uptake was further emphasised by experiments using formulations with constant a.i./surfactant weight ratios. Any increased foliar penetration resulting from inclusion of surfactants in 0·5 g litre?-1 [14C]glyphosate formulations gave concomitant increases in the amounts of radiolabel that were translocated away from the site of application. At these low herbicide doses, translocation of absorbed [14C]glyphosate in wheat was c. twice that in field bean; surfactant addition to the formulation did not increase the proportion transported in wheat but substantially enhanced it in field bean.  相似文献

Petroleum spray oil (2, 4 and 6% in water) was applied to Valencia orange, Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck, for the control of Chinese wax scale, Ceroplastes sinensis del Guercio, using a low-volume ( <2000 litre ha?1)air-blast (LV AB) sprayer, a low- to high-volume (L-HV) (up to 7000 litre ha?1) sprayer with four fan-assisted rotary atomiser (FARA) spray heads mounted on a vertical tower, and a high-volume (>7000 litre ha?1) oscillating boom (HV OB) sprayer. The most effective sprayer was the L-HV FARA sprayer. The most cost-effective treatment was a 20 ml litre?1 (60 litre oil ha?1) spray applied at 3000 litre ha?1 by the L-HV FARA sprayer. It gave mortality equivalent to a standard 20 ml litre?1, 10 700 litre ha?1 spray (214 litre oil ha?1) applied by the HV OB sprayer but with 72% less spray and significantly less oil deposited per cm2 of leaf area. Equivalent or significantly (P = 0·05) higher mortality than that given by the 10 700 litre ha?1 HV OB spray was given by the 40 ml litre?1, 3000 (120 litre oil ha?1) and 60 ml litre?1, 2180 and 3000 litre ha?1 (130·8 and 180 litre oil ha?1) L-HV FARA sprays, but the 60 ml litre?1 sprays deposited more oil per cm2 than the 20 ml litre?1 HV OB spray and were considered to be potentially phytotoxic. The least effective sprayer was the LV AB sprayer, which applied a 60 ml litre?1 spray (57·6 litre oil ha?1) at 960 litre ha?1. Linear relationships were established for Chinese wax scale mortality, transformed using an angular transformation (arcsin proportion), versus log10 spray volume for the 20, 40 and 60 ml litre?1 sprays applied by L-HV FARA at 1260,2180 and 3000 litre ha?1, mortality versus log10 μg oil cm?2 and log10 μg oil versus log10 volume of oil sprayed.  相似文献

Composition-concentration relationships between a series of C13/C14 polyoxyethylene primary alcohol (AE) surfactants and the foliar uptake enhancement of five model neutral organic compounds were examined in factorially designed experiments on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and field bean (Vicia faba L.) plants grown under controlled environment conditions. Model compounds were applied to leaves as c.0.2-μl droplets of 0.5 g litre?1 solutions in aqueous acetone in the absence or presence of surfactants at 0.2, 1 and 5g litre?1. Uptake of the highly water-soluble compound, methylglucose (log octanol-water partition coefficient (P) = - 3.0) was best enhanced by surfactants with high E (ethylene oxide) contents (AE15, AE20), whereas those of the lipophilic compounds, WL110547 (log P = 3.5) and permethrin (log P = 6.5), were increased more by surfactants of lower E contents, especially AE6. However, there was little difference between AE6, AE11, AE15 and AE20 in their ability to promote uptake of the two model compounds of intermediate polarity, phenylurea (log P = 0.8) and cyanazine (log P = 2.1). Absolute amounts of compound uptake were also influenced strongly by both surfactant concentration and plant species. Greatest amounts of uptake enhancement were often observed at high surfactant concentration (5 g litre?1) and on the waxy wheat leaves compared with the less waxy field bean leaves. The latter needed higher surfactant thresholds to produce significant improvements in uptake. Data from our experiments were used to construct a simple response surface model relating uptake enhancement to the E content of the surfactant added and to the physicochemical properties of the compound to be taken up. Qualitative predictions from this model might be useful in rationalising the design of agrochemical formulations.  相似文献

Pesticide movement to subsurface drains was monitored in two typical crop production areas in Germany. Field trials were conducted on two subsurfacedrained soils, a silt loam and a poorly structured sandy soil, under different climatic conditions. Over a period of one year, the drainflow was measured and the drain water was analysed for all applied herbicides. Different leaching behaviour was observed at the two field sites. Following autumn application of pendimethalin and isoproturon to the Soester Börde soil, maximum concentrations of about 62 μg litre?1 for isoproturon and 0.7 μg litre?1 for pendimethalin were observed in drainflow from this silt loam. The early occurrence of both herbicides in the drain water only two days after application is consistent with fast flow through macropores. In contrast, on the subsurfacedrained sandy soil in Brandenburg, isoproturon did not reach the drains until two months after autumn application and was found at maximum concentrations of only 1.4 μg litre?1; pendimethalin was not detected in the drain water. Pesticide movement after spring application seemed to be of minor importance. At both locations, spring application led to low concentrations of pesticides in the drainflow (pendimethalin < 0.01 μ litre?1; metolachlor ? 0.05 μ litre?1; chloridazon ? 0.15 μ litre?1; metamitron ? 0.02 μg litre?1; terbuthylazine ? 1.4 μ litre?1).  相似文献

Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides Nash) cells derived from an inflorescence were cultured in a modified N6 liquid medium supplemented with 10 µm 2,4‐D and 10 mm proline. Exponentially growing cell suspensions were subcultured with a selection medium containing glufosinate (ammonium dl ‐homoalanin‐4‐yl(methyl)phosphinate). The glufosinate‐resistant cells which can grow in a medium containing 5 × 10?5 M glufosinate was selected by a stepwise selection, and its I50 value was determined to be 4.2 × 10?5 M. The growth of susceptible cells was inhibited by lower concentrations of glufosinate and its I50 value was 2.5 × 10?7 M. This indicated that the selected cells were 170‐fold resistant compared with the susceptible cells. Glutamine synthetase (GS) activity of the resistant cells was twice as high as that of the susceptible cells. The I50 values of glufosinate were 3.2 × 10?5 M and 9.0 × 10?7 M for GS from the resistant and susceptible cells, respectively. The accumulation of ammonia caused by GS inhibition was higher in the susceptible cells. Absorption of [3,4–14C]glufosinate was not significantly different between the resistant and susceptible cells. Both cell types did not metabolize glufosinate. These results suggest that the resistance of the selected vetiver cell suspension to glufosinate is mainly due to increased GS activity and its decreased sensitivity to the herbicide.  相似文献

Uptake of aminotriazole (3-amino-1,2,4-triazole) by bean leaves (Phaseolus vulgaris var. Canadian Wonder) was not greatly influenced by the addition to the spray solution of dimethylformamide (DMF), ethylene glycol and polypropylene glycol 400 (PPG 400) over the concentration range 1.0–50.0 ml litre?1. However, the addition of polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitan monolaurate (polysorbate 20) (0.2–1.0 g litre?1) to spray solutions of the above additives and glycerol (5.0 ml litre?1; except for DMF, 50.0 ml litre?1) substantially increased uptake to 80–100% in all cases at 50 ± 10% relative humidity (r.h.). Similar penetration figures were recorded when a range of polysorbate surfactants (polysorbate 20, 40, 60, 80 and 85; 0.2 g litre?1) were applied to spray solutions containing either dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) or glycerol (5.0 ml litre?1). Humidity was found to have a critical effect upon the humectant-surfactant combinations tested, i.e. DMSO + polysorbate 20, ethylene glycol+ polysorbate 20 and PPG + 400-polysorbate 20 (5.0 ml litre?1+0.2 g litre?1). With DMSO + polysorbate 20 the following uptake figures were recorded: < 30% r.h., 3.1 %; 45 ± 10% r.h., 86.8%; 55–65% r.h., 48.2 % and 100% r.h., 0.3%. Similar trends were recorded with all three humectant-surfactant combinations. Further studies revealed that the adverse effect of humidity on DMSO-polysorbate mixtures could be at least overcome partially by regulating the DMSO concentration.  相似文献

The eradicant activities of 24 nitrogen-containing preparations, comprising primary, secondary or tertiary amines, amine acetates, diamines, amine oxides or quaternary ammonium salts, were assessed in trials with potted dormant apple rootstocks, heavily infected with the powdery mildew fungus Podosphaera leucotricha. The surfactants consisted of mixtures in which C12/C14 or C16/C18 alkyl or alkenyl compounds predominated. Of the amine acetates (at 50g litre?1), only the formulation containing C12/C14 primary amine acctates was considered worthy of further evaluation. Some amine oxides and quaternary ammonium compounds (at 35 g litre?1) were good eradicants and were as effective as ‘PP222’ a (nonylphenol-ethoxylate mixture) which was included for comparison. All the compounds showing good activity contained one C12/C14 alkyl group whereas C16/C18 compounds, whether saturated or unsaturated, were relatively inactive. In a field trial, C12/C14 (dimethyl) amine oxide, C12/C14bis (2-hydroxyethyl) amine oxide, and C12/C14 amine acetate (35 g litre?1) greatly reduced the amount of primary mildew on trees that were previously heavily infected, but there were signs that the fruit yield was reduced.  相似文献

The influence of a number of commercial nonionic polyoxyethylene surfactants on the foliar penetration and movement of two systemic fungicides, ethirimol and diclobutrazol, was studied in outdoor-grown wheat plants at different growth stages and post-treatment temperatures in two consecutive growing seasons. Both fungicides were applied as ca 0·2 μl droplets of aqueous suspension formulations containing 0·5 g litre?1 of 14C-labelled active ingredient; surfactants were added to these suspensions at concentrations ranging from 0·2-10 g litre?1. To achieve optimum uptake of each fungicide the use of surfactants with different physicochemical properties was required. For diclobutrazol, a lipophilic compound, uptake of radiolabel was best with surfactants of low mean molar ethylene oxide (E) content (5-6) but it was necessary to use concentrations of ca 5 g litre?1 to attain this. The surfactant threshold concentration for uptake enhancement of radiolabel from ethirimol formulations (< 2 g litre?1) was much lower than that for diclobutrazol but surfactants with E contents > 10 induced the greatest amount of uptake. For both fungicides, surfactants with an aliphatic alcohol hydrophobe were generally more efficient in promoting their uptake than those with a nonylphenol moiety. The sorbitan-based surfactant ‘Tween 20’ proved to be an effective adjuvant only for the ethirimol formulation; the uptake enhancing properties of the block copolymer ‘Synperonic PE/F68’ were weak. Uptake performance could not be related to the spreading properties of the respective formulations on the wheat leaf surface or to differences in solubilisation of the two fungicides by the surfactants. Although surfactants could substantially increase the amount of acropetal transport of radiolabel from both fungicides, none of those tested specifically promoted it; a constant proportion of the radioactive dose absorbed by a treated leaf was usually exported away from the site of application. The results are discussed in the light of current theories about the mode of action of surfactants as spray adjuvants.  相似文献

The content of the herbicides atrazine and hexazinone was measured in drainage water from seven to ten-year-old plantations grown with Abies nordmanniana (Steven) Spach on two clayey soils in Denmark. The concentrations of atrazine varied between 0.06 and 7.79 μg litre?1. The concentrations of hexazinone were different at the two locations, ranging from 0.07 to 2.09 μg litre?1 at Bremersvold and from 3.47 to 42.66 μg litre?1 at Koege. Metabolites of both herbicides were identified.  相似文献

The addition of the organosilicone surfactant ‘Silwet L77’ at 1-5 ml litre?1 to formulated glyphosate gave complete surface wetting on application to the adaxial leaf surface of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.). The wetting characteristics of the solution were associated with rapid foliar uptake and near maximal uptake in 3 h compared to greater than 5 h in the absence of ‘Silwet L77’. Evidence is presented showing that solutions containing ‘Silwet L77’ rapidly infiltrate stomata. Rapid uptake did not occur after application to the astomatous abaxial surface of perennial ryegrass leaves. The rapid rate of glyphosate uptake reduced the critical rainfall period to 2 h or less, compared to up to 10 h in the absence of ‘Silwet L77’. The use of ‘Silwet L77’ has major practical implications for the use of glyphosate in regions with unpredictable rainfall or high rainfall frequency.  相似文献

The antifeedant effect of five organotin compounds (fentin acetate, fentin hydroxide, fentin chloride, cyhexatin and fenbutatin oxide) and of three other compounds known to possess antifeeding activity (guazatine triacetate, 4′-chloroacetophenone isobutyrylhydrazone and thiram) was investigated by feeding treated alfalfa to larvae of Boarmia selenaria. The three fentins and cyhexatin were highly active at 0.1 g litre?1, the order of activity at this concentration being fentin chloride > fentin hydroxide > fentin acetate ? cyhexatin, whereas the other compounds were practically inactive at either this or a somewhat higher concentration (0.5 g litre?1). Guazatine triacetate had a concentration-independent antifeedant effect at much higher concentrations (5–20 g litre?1).  相似文献

The phytotoxic activity of pyriftalid ([RS]‐7‐[4,6‐dimethoxypyrimidin‐2‐ylthio]‐3‐methyl‐2‐benzofuran‐1[3H]‐one) on barnyard grass (Echinochloa oryzoides) seedlings emerging from various depths in the soil was investigated in relation to its behavior in the soil. The growth of the barnyard grass seedlings in the soil mixed with pyriftalid was inhibited, depending on the concentration of the herbicide in the soil water but not on the amount in the total soil. A topmost pyriftalid‐treated layer was formed by applying the herbicide to the soil surface under water‐leakage conditions. The concentration of pyriftalid in the soil water and the amount that was adsorbed on the soil solid decreased with time, but the decrease was more marked in the pyriftalid concentration in the soil water than in the amount that was adsorbed on the soil solid. The emergence time of barnyard grass in the soil was faster in the seeds that were located in the shallower soil layer, compared to the deeper soil layer. The growth inhibition of the barnyard grass seedlings emerging from the shallower soil layer was greater than that of the barnyard grass seedlings emerging from the deeper soil layer after the soil surface application of pyriftalid. It is suggested that the emergence timing from the different soil depths is an important factor affecting the herbicidal activity of pyriftalid when it is applied to the soil surface under paddy field conditions.  相似文献

The uncalibrated predictive ability of four preferential flow models (CRACK‐NP, MACRO/MACRO_DB, PLM, SWAT) has been evaluated against point rates of drainflow and associated concentrations of isoproturon from a highly structured and heterogeneous clay soil in the south of England. Data were available for four plots for a number of storm events in each of three successive growing seasons. The mechanistic models CRACK‐NP and MACRO generally gave reasonable estimates of drainflow over the three seasons, but under‐estimated concentrations of isoproturon over a prolonged period in the first season and over‐estimated them in the two remaining seasons. CRACK‐NP simulated maximum concentrations of isoproturon over the first two events of each of the three seasons of 156, 527 and 24.4 µg litre?1, respectively, and matched the observed data (465, 65.1 and 0.65 µg litre?1) slightly better than MACRO (69.1, 566 and 58.5 µg litre?1). Automatic selection of parameters from soils information within MACRO_DB reduced the emphasis on preferential flow relative to the stand‐alone version of MACRO. This gave a poor simulation of isoproturon breakthrough and simulated maximum concentrations were 0, 50.1 and 35.1 µg litre?1, respectively. The capacity model PLM gave the best overall simulation of total drainflow for the first two events in each season, but over‐estimated concentrations of isoproturon (967, 808 and 51.3 µg litre?1). The simple model SWAT represented total drainflow reasonably well and gave the best simulation of maximum isoproturon concentrations (140, 80.2 and 8.2 µg litre?1). There was no clear advantage here in using the mechanistic models rather than the simpler models. None of the models tested was able to simulate consistently the data set, and uncalibrated modelling cannot be recommended for such artificially drained heavy clay soils. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The fumigant toxicity of various volatile constituents of essential oils extracted from sixteen Korean spices and medicinal plants towards the rice weevil, Sitophilus oryzae L (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), was determined. The most potent toxicity was found in the essential oil from Mentha arvensis L var piperascens (LC50 = 45.5 µl litre?1 air). GC–MS analysis of essential oil from M arvensis showed it to be rich in menthol (63.2%), menthone (13.1%) and limonene (1.5%), followed in abundance by β‐pinene (0.7%), α‐pinene (0.6%) and linalool (0.2%). Treatment of S oryzae with each of these terpenes showed menthone to be most active (LC50 = 12.7 µl litre?1 air) followed by linalool (LC50 = 39.2 µl litre?1 air) and α‐pinene (LC50 = 54.9 µl litre?1 air). Studies on inhibition of acetylcholinesterase activity of S oryzae showed menthone to have a nine‐fold lower inhibitory effect than menthol, despite menthone being 8.1‐fold more toxic than menthol to the rice weevil. Different modes of toxicity of these monoterpenes towards S oryzae are discussed. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The effects of seven adjuvants (at 0, 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 g litre?1) on the efficacies of four fungicides al 0.5 g litre?1 were studied in the laboratory for the control of leaf-spot in celery (caused by Septoria apiicola) and powdery mildew on winter wheat (caused by Erysiphe graminis). The most effective fungicides for controlling leaf-spot were: tebuconazole + triadimenol = flutriafol > mancozeb + oxadixyl > prochloraz. However, addition of adjuvant to the fungicides gave a modified pattern of effectiveness. The efficacy of flutriafol was strongly enhanced by addition of all adjuvants, but those of prochloraz and mancozeb+oxadixyl only partially so. The tested adjuvants were mineral oil + surfactant, a polymer/alkoxylated alkyl ether blend, an ethoxylated alkylphenol, an ethoxylated hexitan ester blend, an ethoxylated nonylphenol and an alkylpolysaccharide- based adjuvant mixture. However, the addition of adjuvants to tebuconazole + triadimenol had a negative effect. Of all the adjuvants tested, the nonylphenol ethoxylate and a mixture of mineral oil /surfactant and alkylpolysaccharides gave the highest efficacy with the fungicides, while the mineral oil/surfactant and the alkylpolysaccharides alone were less effective. There was a positive relationship between high concentrations of adjuvants and their effectiveness, but there were some exceptions. The most effective fungicides for control of powdery mildew in wheat were prochloraz, mancozeb + oxadixyl and tebuconazole + triadimenol. There was a linear relationship between the high efficacy of the fungicide and the concentration of adjuvants to control powdery mildew in wheat. The highest concentration of adjuvant (2-0 g litre?1) gave the highest efficacy for the fungicides.  相似文献

The toxicity of cyromazine and a commercial formulation, ‘Vetrazin’®, to Chironomus zealandicus (thummi) Hudson and Deleatidium sp. was investigated. Under acute test conditions, the LC50 values for each species were quite comparable. For C. zealandicus, the value varied according to instar, 100–400 mg litre?1 for second- and third-instar to 1000–10000 mg litre?1 for older fourth-instars. For the one size class of Deleatidium tested (c.10 mm long), the value was 300–400 mg litre?1. High control mortalities of C. zealandicus limit that species' usefulness as an acute bioassay candidate. Under chronic test conditions, cyromazine showed a high toxicity to eggs or early-instar larvae of C. zealandicus. The maximum acceptable toxicant concentration for cyromazine against C. zealandicus was approximately 17.5 μg litre?1. The possibility of water contamination at this level is discussed. Whole-of-life chronic tests with C. zealandicus indicated that the most susceptible stage was in the egg or soon after larval emergence. These results highlight the dangers of using short-term acute toxicity results to formulate environmental exposure limits for modern pesticides that do not have dysfunction of the nervous system as their mode of action.  相似文献

The effects of two herbicides, glyphosate (as a 359 g litre?1 SL) and hexazinone (as a 50gkg?1 granule) on soil microbial population, carbon dioxide evolution, and in-vitro growth of five species of ectomycorrhizal fungi were investigated. Glyphosate at 0–54 and 3.23 kg a.i. ha?1 and hexazinone at 1. 2 and 8 kg a.i. ha?1 did not reduce soil microbial population or carbon dioxide evolution in the long term (6 months). However, there was a significant short-term (2 months) effect of glyphosate on both fungal and bacterial counts at the 0.54 kg ha?1 treatment. In in-vitro tests, Cenococcum graniforme. Hebeloma crustuliniforme and Laccaria laccata were more susceptible to both herbicides than was Suillus tomentosus. which was, in turn, more susceptible than Paxillus involutus. The growth of all five ectomycorrhizal fungi was significantly reduced when subjected to concentrations above 50 μl formulation litre?1 (glyphosate) or 50 μg formulation litre?1 (hexazinone).  相似文献
