The methanolic extracts and the fractions (petrol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, butanol) obtained from the leaves, seeds, stem and root barks of Sarcocephalus coadunatus exhibited a high level of broad spectrum antibacterial activity. The activity was more pronounced in the dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of the leaves; ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of the seeds; dichloromethane fractions of the stem bark and the ethyl acetate fractions of the root bark. None of the fractions showed any antifungal activity. 相似文献

Antibacterial activity of the water, ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts of Cichorium intybus was investigated. All the tested extracts showed antibacterial activity, the ethyl acetate extract being the most active. Water extract inhibits Agrobacterium radiobacter sp. tumefaciens, Erwinia carotovora, Pseudomonas fluorescens and P. aeruginosa. 相似文献

The antiviral activity of six medicinal plants from Brazilian Atlantic Tropical Forest was investigated against two viruses: herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and poliovirus type 2 (PV-2). Cuphea carthagenensis and Tillandsia usneoides extracts showed the best antiherpes activity. T. usneoides dichloromethane, ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts, and Lippia alba n-butanol extract showed inhibition of HSV-1, strain 29R/acyclovir resistant. In addition, only L. alba ethyl acetate extract showed antipoliovirus activity. These results corroborate that medicinal plants can be a rich source of potential antiviral compounds. 相似文献

以苍耳根、茎、叶作为试验材料,以丙酮、80%乙醇、乙酸乙酯、蒸馏水作为提取溶剂,利用滤纸片法研究了苍耳不同器官4种不同溶剂提取液对2种细菌和1种真菌的抑菌活性,结果表明:苍耳各器官的不同溶剂提取液抑菌效果不同。对溶剂来说,苍耳叶丙酮、乙酸乙酯提取液对枯草芽孢杆菌的抑菌圈直径分别达16.32mm、15.66mm,叶的乙酸乙酯提取液对苹果轮纹病菌的抑菌圈直径达15.64mm,4种不同溶剂提取液的总体抑菌活性由大到小依次为丙酮、乙酸乙酯、80%乙醇、蒸馏水;对不同器官来说,苍耳各器官提取液抑菌效果由大到小依次为叶、根、茎,尤以叶的丙酮提取液抑菌效果最佳,乙酸乙酯次之。苍耳叶的丙酮、乙酸乙酯提取液对枯草芽孢杆菌、苹果轮纹病菌均表现为较强的抑菌活性,但对大肠杆菌的抑菌活性较弱。 相似文献

Various parts of Derris elliptica, Derris indica and Derris trifoliata on fractionation with a number of solvents (petrol, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, butanol and methanol) gave fractions which demonstrated a varied level of broad spectrum antibacterial activity. The petrol ether, ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of eight medicinal polypore fungi from China were evaluated for cytotoxic activities using MTT-dye assay. All the petrol ether and ethyl acetate extracts exhibited cytotoxicity against human cervix epitheloid carcinoma cell lines (Hela) and human hepatoma cell lines (SMMC-7721). Cytotoxicity activity was also observed in the methanol extracts of Phellinus conchatus and Pycnoporus sanquineus, but the methanol extracts from Cryptoporus volvatus, Fomitopsis pinicola, Fomes hornodermus, Lenzites betulina, Trametes gibbosa and Trametes orientalis showed weak activity when compared with quercetin. 相似文献

Ethanol extract of Maytenus rigida stem bark and its fractions were assessed for antinociceptive activity in tail-flick test in rats. The activity was located in the chloroform, ethyl acetate and aq.methanol fractions. Phytochemical screening revealed that catechin was the only common class of compounds present on the ethanol extract as well as on the active fractions. 4'-Methylepigallocatechin, isolated from the ethyl acetate and aq.methanol fractions, showed antinociceptive effect in the tail-flick test (75 mg/kg; p.o.), which was reversed by the opiate antagonist naloxone (3 mg/kg; i.p.). 相似文献

The methanol (MeOH) extract of the twigs and leaves of Aglaia duperreana was investigated for its molluscicidal activity against Pomacea canaliculata. The extract was found to exhibit significant molluscicidal activity. The ethyl acetate soluble fraction of the extract showed the most potent molluscicidal activity among different solvent fractions. The bioactivity-guided chemical investigation of the ethyl acetate soluble fraction led to a new triterpenoid along with 15 known compounds. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance techniques as well as mass spectroscopic analysis. The molluscicidal activities of compounds 2-16 against P. canaliculata were also investigated. Naringenin trimethyl ether showed significant molluscicidal activity with a median lethal concentration (LC(50)) of 3.9 μg/mL, which was indicated higher potency than the positive control, tea saponin (LC(50)=4.5 μg/mL). 相似文献
