Abstract

Information on the dynamics of nitrogen as influenced by crop establishment method and N management strategy is meager, but such information is necessary in optimizing nitrogen input for lowland rice (Oryza sativa L.). A field experiment was conducted at the experimental farm of the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines, during the wet and dry seasons of 2003 and 2004 to evaluate the effects of crop establishment and nitrogen management strategies for lowland rice on the dynamics of mineral N. The experiment was laid out in a split-plot design with four crop establishment methods as main plots and two N management techniques as subplots with three replications. Zero-N fertilizer (N-omission) micro-plots were embedded in each plot. Crop establishment method did not significantly influence uptake of indigenous mineral N during the wet (44-55 kg ha-1) and dry (43-50 kg ha-1) seasons. Apparently, NH4+-N and NO3~-N accumulated in the top 20-cm layer of the soil during the wet season, resulting in relatively high initial N during the dry season. Crop establishment and N management strategies did not influence crop removal of N during a one-year period. Actual N balance across crop establishment methods during the one-year period ranged from 10 to 16 kg ha-1, whereas the apparent N balance ranged from 45 to 99 kg ha-1. A fertilizer recommendation should be developed based on the actual N balance along with the assessment of crop N requirement for a given yield potential.  相似文献

Abstract

Shortage of labor and water are forcing farmers to explore the alternatives of transplanting. A field experiment was conducted at the experimental farm of International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines during the 2003 wet season and the 2004 dry season to (1) evaluate the effects of different crop-establishment methods and N management on yield and yield parameters of rice; (2) determine N-use efficiency and water-use efficiency under different methods of rice establishment; and (3) analyze the economics of different crop-establishment methods. Crop-establishment method did not influence grain yield during the wet or dry seasons, indicating the potential of the three variants of direct seeding as alternative methods of establishing lowland rice. Direct-seeded rice had shorter crop duration, required less water and therefore had higher water-use efficiency than the transplanting method. Crop establishment did not influence the various indices of nitrogen-utilization efficiency except partial factor productivity of N (PFPN) during the wet season. During the dry season, dry-seeded rice had the lowest recovery efficiency. In contrast, agronomic-use efficiency and recovery efficiency were significantly higher in the SPAD-based (soil plant analyses development) N management strategy during the dry season. PFPN was significantly higher in the SPAD-based N management strategy during the wet and dry seasons. The interaction effect of crop establishment and N management indicated that for smaller N input and higher efficiency of N usage, N requirement for direct-seeded rice should be based on SPAD N technique. The cost-and-return analysis showed that benefit-cost ratio was consistently higher in dry seeding rice than transplanted rice using a SPAD-based N management.  相似文献

长期绿肥还田对江南稻田系统生产力及抗逆性的影响   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
 依据江南丘陵地区双季稻田28年(1981-2008年)长期绿肥还田的田间定位试验和4年的养分耗竭盆栽试验,分析比较了长期不同量绿肥还田对稻田系统生产力和抗逆性的综合影响。结果表明,常量绿肥还田和高量绿肥还田处理下,早稻、晚稻和历年的全年平均籽粒产量和生物学产量及其变异系数与长期单施化肥处理差异不显著,但由于绿肥还田处理施用绿肥替代部分化肥,平均每年的化肥N、P和K投入量比单施化肥处理分别减少90.0、9.9和72.0 kg/hm2。绿肥处理的双季稻全年产量呈上升趋势,而长期化肥处理则呈下降趋势,且前者的全年产量可持续性产量指数均略高于后者,常量绿肥还田下稻田系统的耐瘠能力也显著高于长期单施化肥处理。不同量绿肥还田下稻田系统生产力差异不显著,但耐瘠能力常量还田处理较高。  相似文献

Manure management is a difficult task on many intensive dairy farms. Crops that can utilize large quantities of manure N, yield quality forage with larger rates of manure application, and allow manure spreading at different times in a year can simplify that task. A study was conducted in 1990 and 1991 on a Copake sandy loam soil (mixed mesic) in New Milford, Connecticut. The objectives were: (1) to measure and compare dry matter (DM) response of orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) to different amounts and application times of N fertilizer and liquid and solid cattle manure; and (2) to determine crop uptake of fertilizer and manure N. Fertilizer and liquid and solid manure were applied to the soil surface annually in amounts of 150, 300 or 450 kg N ha−1 in one, two or four equal applications. Orchardgrass dry matter production increased over the entire range of N amounts from all sources. Yields varied from approximately 2500 kg DM ha−1 for control plots (0 kg N) to 10600 kg for plots receiving 450 kg N ha−1 either as fertilizer or liquid manure. Crop response to liquid manure application was greater in year one with abundant rainfall than in year two with dry conditions during most of the growing season, whereas crop response to solid manure application improved in the second year, due to the availability of residual organic N. Orchardgrass was more sensitive to the timing of fertilizer N application than to manure N application. Despite the large differences in weather patterns experienced during this study, analysis of application patterns indicated that manure could be applied throughout the growing season to crop stubble (post-harvest) with comparable rates of uptake overall. N uptake in control plots averaged 56 kg N ha−1 for both years, compared to 340 kg N ha −1 for fertilizer plots, 250 kg N ha −1 for liquid manure plots and 190 kg N ha−1 for solid manure plots receiving 450 kg total N ha −1.  相似文献

The inclusion of grain legumes in rainfed lowland rice farming systems provides an opportunity to increase food production, household income, and human nutrition of impoverished rice farmers in Asia. We examined the effect of rice establishment method on the performance of wet season rice (Oryza sativa L.) and post-rice crops of either chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) or moong [Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek] on an Udic Haplustalf in the drought-prone, rainfed lowlands of eastern India. Rice was either direct seeded in lines on moist soil immediately after the onset of wet season rain or transplanted after sufficient rainwater accumulated for soil submergence. Crop establishment method had no effect on rice performance in a season (2001) with normal rainfall. In a drought season (2002), direct seeding resulted in mean rice grain yield of 2.3 t ha−1, whereas the transplanted rice crop failed. The agronomic efficiency of N fertilizer applied to direct-seeded rice was comparable for the 2 years (18 and 24 kg grain per kg N applied). Topsoil inorganic N was markedly higher following chickpea and moong than following a post-rice fallow. Direct-seeded rice had higher yield and accumulation of N following a post-rice legume than following fallow, but transplanted rice derived no such benefit from the legume. Direct-seeded rice was established 1–2 months before transplanted rice, and direct-seeded rice matured before transplanted rice by 8 days in the favorable season and by 26 days in the drought season. The soil nitrate present after legumes and fallow rapidly disappeared, presumably by denitrification, following the onset of rains and soil flooding prior to transplanting. A portion of this accumulated soil nitrate was taken up by the direct-seeded rice before it could be lost. But transplanted rice did not benefit from this inorganic N derived from legumes because virtually all soil nitrate was lost before transplanting. Direct seeding of rice ensured better use of residual and applied N, reduced risk due to drought, and favored intensification with post-rice legumes in drought-prone lowland systems.  相似文献

 为系统地了解不同施肥制度下各生育期氨挥发损失的程度及规律,采用密闭室法对南方红壤地区双季稻田的氨挥发进行了监测。不同施肥制度下氨挥发的变化规律基本相同,施肥后1~3 d内达到峰值,随后逐渐下降,1周后无明显排放。氨挥发速率随施N量增加而增加。早季各处理氨挥发累积量基肥时为1.6~3.6 kg/hm2,分蘖肥时为58~18.2 kg/hm2;而晚季基肥、分蘖肥和穗肥时的氨挥发累积量分别为4.5~7.9、12.3~26.8和1.4~2.4 kg/hm2,早、晚季氨挥发总累积量分别占其施N量的4.5%~15.3%和16.9%~32.8%。相对于不施肥处理,尿素的施用促进氨挥发,而在等氮施用量下,缺P处理通过氨挥发损失的N量较多,较高水平的秸秆和绿肥施用也会增加氨挥发量。此外,氨挥发与田面水NH4+ N浓度及水层pH之间存在正相关关系,气候条件也显著影响氨挥发量。  相似文献

 自1997年早稻开始,在浙江省金华市农业科学研究所试验区稻田设立了监测水稻土生产力及肥力变化的长期肥料定位试验,并在试验区周围10 km范围内选择了21户农民的稻田进行相应的监测试验。试验区内农户间稻田土壤的养分供应能力相差很大,氮供应能力变化于49~116 kg/hm2,磷供应能力变化于13~32 kg/hm2,钾供应能力变化于68~183 kg/hm2。农民常规施肥区的氮肥利用效率很低,氮表观回收率的平均值为14%~26%,氮肥农业效率平均值为4.6~8.2,且农户之间、早晚稻之间均存在较大差异。肥料定位试验结果表明,在连续种植水稻条件下,缺肥区土壤相应的有效养分消耗很快。与NPK全肥区比较,NP区从第2季水稻起,NK区从第3季水稻起,即开始出现减产。针对当地农民现行养分管理的实际情况,就水稻系统发展适地养分综合管理新技术进行了讨论。  相似文献

A velvet bean (Mucuna pruriens L.) module for the agricultural production systems simulator (APSIM) was developed in order to assess the nitrogen (N) and yield benefits of velvet bean green manure crops, when grown in rotation with maize in small holder situations in Malawi. The velvet bean module was able to simulate maturity biomass from six contrasting sites in Malawi over an observed range of 847–10,420 kg/ha with a root mean squared deviation (RMSD) of 1562 kg/ha. APSIM was then tested for its ability to simulate the response of maize crops to fertiliser N in two seasons, to previous velvet bean green manure crops in one season, or both in combination in one season. With no previous velvet bean crop, the response to fertiliser N varied across sites from a non-significant increase to an eight-fold increase in maize yield. Where a velvet bean crop was grown in the previous season, the response to applied N varied from non-significant to slight. Simulated yields were within one standard error of the observed in the majority of cases. A sensitivity analysis for key parameters in the velvet bean module highlighted, that those governing the N content of crop root and shoot residues had greatest impact on maize yield response. Parameters controlling production and partitioning of root or shoot biomass were less important.To our knowledge this is the first reported case of a cropping systems simulation model being tested for its ability to simulate the production of a green manure legume followed by a cereal.  相似文献

In rice-based lowland areas in the Mekong region, the lack of full irrigation water availability for post-rice legume crops and the poor soil physical and chemical conditions are major constraints for development of sound rice/legume double cropping system. In order to improve legume productivity, use of rice straw mulch and various crop establishment methods were examined in two series of mungbean experiments in Cambodia where soils were coarse and strongly compacted. In one set of experiments conducted at four locations in the first year the effect of straw mulch, planting method (manual vs seed drill) and tillage method (conventional vs no-till) was examined. Another set of experiments were conducted in the second year at three locations with four levels of mulch under two planting densities. On average in year 1, mulching of rice straw at 1.5 t/ha increased mungbean crop establishment from 72 to 83%, reduced weed biomass from 164 to 123 kg/ha and increased yield from 228 to 332 kg/ha. Mulch was effective in conserving soil moisture, and even at maturity the mulched area had on average 1% higher soil moisture content. The amount of mulch between 1 and 2 t/ha did not show consistent effects in year 2, partly because some mulch treatments resulted in excessive soil moisture content and were not effective. Rice straw mulch had a significant effect on mungbean yield in 6 out of the 7 experiments conducted in two years, and mean yield increase was 35%. This yield advantage was attributed to better crop establishment, improved growth and reduced weed pressure, but in some cases only one or two of these factors were effective. On the other hand, planting method, tillage method and planting density had only small effects on mungbean yield in most experiments. Only in one location out of four tested, the no-till treatment produced significantly higher yield than the conventional method. Seed drill produced similar mungbean establishment and grain yield to the manual planting suggesting that the planter can be used to save the labour cost which is increasing rapidly in the Mekong region. Maximum root depth varied little with mulch or planting density, and was shallow (<20 cm) in all three locations where this character was determined. It is concluded that while rice straw mulch increased yield of mungbean following rice, the inability of mungbean roots to penetrate the hard pan is a major constraint for development of a sound rice/mungbean cropping system in the lowlands with compacted soils.  相似文献

利用典型黑土区玉米-大豆轮作定位试验,设5个处理,即不施肥(NoF)、玉米连作正常施用化肥(LZ)、玉米-大豆轮作正常施用化肥(CF)、玉米-大豆轮作正常施用化肥+15 000 kg/hm2有机肥(CF+15T)和玉米-大豆轮作正常施用化肥+30 000 kg/hm2有机肥(CF+30T),研究连续4年增施有机肥后对玉米产量及构成要素和子粒中蛋白质、氨基酸、可溶性糖、淀粉、矿质营养元素含量的影响。结果表明,同CF处理相比,LZ处理玉米产量比CF处理降低15%,连续4年增施有机肥后玉米产量呈增加趋势,CF+15T处理和CF+30T处理玉米产量比CF处理高8.8%和13%。单施化肥处理下连作与轮作玉米子粒品质指标差异不大,轮作处理后连续4年增施有机肥处理的玉米子粒中游离氨基酸、可溶性糖和淀粉含量随着施用有机肥的量增加而增加,对玉米子粒蛋白质含量影响不大。同LZ和CF处理相比,连续4年增施有机肥显著提高玉米子粒中K、Na、Mg和P含量,Ca、Mn、Fe和Zn含量无显著变化。因此,黑土区玉米连作减产,对品质影响不大。玉米-大豆轮作制度下连续4年增施1...  相似文献

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) followed by chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) or a fallow is one of the predominant cropping systems in the rainfed lowlands of India. Crop rotation experiments over 3 years (1996–1998) to quantify N supply and demand under rainfed lowland rice–chickpea and rice–fallow cropping systems on a loam Alfisol and a clay Vertisol in Raipur, India were conducted under direct-seeded rice culture. The rice growth, yield, development and N accumulation were affected most by N rates (0, 40, 80, 120 kg ha−1) followed by cropping system (rice–chickpea, rice–fallow) and soil types (Alfisol, Vertisol). The incorporation of chickpea in the cropping system helped in accumulating a greater amount of soil N than fallow. The rice yield, dry matter and N accumulated were significantly higher in rice–chickpea than rice–fallow systems on both soils and in all years. The lowest rice yields were recorded in 1997 due to unfavorable rainfall distribution. The total rainfall was the highest in this season, but most of it occurred during a short period at an early growth stage. The post-heading rains were lowest in this season and resulted in the lower rice yield as compared with that of 1996 and 1998. This indicates the significance of rainfall distribution in controlling yield in a rainfed environment. The rice yields were lower on Vertisol than Alfisol during periods of drought. The performance of chickpea was also better in Alfisol as compared with that in the Vertisol due to its better soil physical attributes. The residual effect of N applied to the preceding rice crop was non-significant on all yield, growth and N accumulation parameters of chickpea. The N balance computed from the top 70 cm soil layers indicated less N loss in the rice–chickpea system as compared with that in rice–fallow. The recovery efficiency at the highest N rate (120 kg N ha−1) was higher for the rice–chickpea (57–61%) than that of rice–fallow (49–53%) system. The improved N balance for rice–chickpea system from third year onwards was due to switch to dry seeding and improved soil N status. The inclusion of legume and the effective capture of biologically fixed N and soil N through direct-seeded rice system in rainfed lowlands may help in improving the rice yield of resource poor farmers.  相似文献

2009~2010和2010~2011冬季生长季节,布置田间试验研究不同稻草覆盖和栽培方式对冬作马铃薯产量和产量构成的影响。在2009~2010年度,试验设置不同肥料用量,不同种植密度及不同稻草覆盖量3个影响因子。结果表明,种植密度为90 000株/hm(2D2)时,无论是商品薯还是非商品薯的产量均较高;而在施肥量较高的处理中(F2,1.2 t/hm2复合肥),商品薯的产量增加,非商品薯产量显著下降。在稻草覆盖处理M0.5(0.5 kg/m)2和M1(1.0 kg/m)2中,马铃薯的产量和产量构成没有显著差别。D2F2M0.5处理的产量最高,为15.0 t/hm2,其中商品薯的产量为13.0 t/hm2。在2010~2011年度,进一步研究了不同耕作方法(箱式耕作和垄式耕作)及不同稻草覆盖量(5个水平)对马铃薯产量和产量构成的影响。与垄式耕作方式相比,箱式耕作节约了一半的工作强度,但产量并没有下降。结果显示,当覆盖量为0.25 kg/m2时,获得的产量最高,为25.3 t/hm2。但是,非商品薯的产量和绿薯率均随着稻草覆盖量的减少而增加。在中国,每公顷的稻草产量约为5 000 kg。因此,考虑到实际条件的限制,在广西冬作区,选用箱式耕作的同时覆盖0.5 kg/m2的稻草是最为经济和高效的栽培方式。  相似文献

In aerobic rice, adapted varieties are grown in non-flooded and non-saturated soil. In the Philippines, occasional poor crop growth and yield failures have been reported. To investigate the underlying causes, we conducted 3 pot experiments using the aerobic rice variety Apo and so-called “sick soil” from a field where aerobic rice failed in four successive dry seasons. The (experimental) aerobic rice crop replaced the farmer's practice of wet-season lowland rice and dry season sweet potato cropping. We hypothesized that abiotic factors, especially the inter-relationship between high soil pH and impaired micronutrient uptake, restrict plant growth, and that ammonium sulfate has an ameliorating effect. Experiment 1 used “sick soil” collected from around yellowing and dying plants in a field experiment with aerobic rice yield failure, and “healthy soil” collected from around well-growing plants in the same field. We used three N fertilizer treatments (ammonium sulfate, urea, no application) and two soil water conditions (well drained and water-logged). In experiment 2, the treatments were a combination of sick and healthy soil, N fertilizer, soil acidification, and foliar application of Fe. Experiment 3 compared the irrigation water used at the experimental field site with reverse-osmosis water. Irrigation with water from the field site increased soil pH, impaired plant growth, and induced chlorosis. The application of ammonium sulfate reduced soil pH to values below 6 and increased plant micronutrient (Fe, Mn and Zn) contents and plant growth. In early vegetative plant growth, the high soil pH appeared to be the key determinant of “sick soil”, while root knot nematodes were most likely secondary causes for poor plant growth.  相似文献

为给旱地小麦合理施肥提供依据,在20年长期定位试验的基础上,研究了不同施肥处理对小麦产量及肥料利用率的影响。结果表明,化肥能显著提高小麦产量,单施磷肥产量增加85.8kg/ha,增幅6.8%;单施氮肥增产352.8kg/ha,增幅28.0%;氮磷配施增产2262.2kg/ha,增幅179.7%。有机肥处理增产显著,单施有机肥增产1954.2kg/ha;在施有机肥的基础上,施氮肥增产9.8%,施磷肥增产17.1%,施氮磷肥增产15.5%。长期化肥单施肥料利用率较低,单施氮肥的氮肥利用率为16.0%,单施磷肥的磷肥利用为7.0%。氮磷配合施用,小麦吸氮、磷、钾量显著增加,氮、磷肥利用率分别增加21.2和6.9个百分点。氮、磷和有机肥处理的小麦吸氮量比氮磷处理增加18.2kg/ha,吸磷量增加4.1kg/ha,吸钾量增加8.3kg/ha。  相似文献

通过田间小区试验,系统研究了在几种轻简施肥技术条件下双季早、晚稻的生育特性、养分吸收规律、肥料养分的当季利用率、经济性状和产量效应以及土壤速效养分的变化规律。结果表明:在轻简施肥技术条件下,双季稻前期早发不明显,中期成穗率高,后期根旺叶健不早衰;早、晚稻不同生育时期的干物质积累量与养分的吸收量具有相似性;早稻前期氮、磷、钾吸收量最低,绝大部分氮、磷、钾养分是在中、后期吸收的,晚稻前期的氮、磷、钾吸收量明显高于早稻,后期的氮、磷、钾吸收量大多低于早稻,不同处理之间差异不大。各轻简施肥处理均能提高早稻对氮和磷的表观利用率,以“湘珠专用肥”处理效果最好,但不能提高早稻对钾的表观利用率;晚稻轻简施肥处理“湘珠专用肥”也能明显提高水稻对肥料氮和钾的表观利用率。轻简施肥处理的水稻产量明显高于当地习惯施肥处理。  相似文献

 采用计算机控制的全自动气相色谱监测系统,对中稻田4个处理进行了130个日夜的甲烷排放量的监测,各处理中以无机肥+绿肥+长期淹灌处理的甲烷排放通量最高,为464.0 mg/m2·d,最低的为无机肥+绿肥+间歇灌溉处理,只有180.5 mg/m2·d。水稻生长前半期是甲烷排放高峰期,除长期淹灌的处理外,其它处理在移栽后65 d的排放量约占总排放量的77%~93%。甲烷排放量与气温呈正相关。搁田可明显减少甲烷的排放量。  相似文献
