The goal of this study was to demonstrate the distribution of glycoproteins in the various segments of the Japanese quail nephron, using lectins labeled with HRP or FITC. Each one of the six labeled lectins had a characteristic distribution pattern along the nephron. The study shows that lectins are useful markers for certain nephron segments or for cell types in certain segments of the renal tubules. PNA marks the thin portion of the medullary loop, DBA marks the thick portion; it is thus possible to differentiate the nephron segments in the medullary cone of the kidney. Con A binds selectively with the epithelioid, granular cells of the tunica media of the vasa efferentia. The histochemical technic using labeled lectins makes it possible to identify certain renal structures that could not, or only with difficulty, be differentiated using conventional histology. Therefore, lectins as specific markers are gaining in importance for further studies of the morphology and physiology of the kidney. 相似文献

Inhalt Anhand des Datenmaterials eines Zuchtunternehmens wurden die Beziehungen zwischen Mastleistungs- und Spermaqualitätsmerkmalen und der Reproduktionsleistung an 220 Besamungsebern mit insgesamt 3740 Ejakulaten untersucht. Zwischen Merkmalen der Mast- und Reproduktionsleistung konnten keine statistisch gesicherten Beziehungen gefunden werden, obwohl eine Tendenz bestand, daβ Eber mit geringerer Speckdicke auch weniger Ferkel je Besamung brachten. Zwei Merkmale der Mastleistung (Muskel- und Rückenspeckdicke) zeigten Beziehungen zu Spermaqualitätsmerkmalen. Diese hatten allerdings keinen Einfluβ auf die Reproduktionsleistung der Eber. Using data from a breeder, the relationship between fattening performance and criteria of sperm quality and reproduction performance of 220 Al-boars with in toto 3,740 ejaculates was investigated. There was no statistically conclusive relationship between fattening and reproductive performance, although boars with less fat tended to beget fewer piglets per insemination. Two characteristics of fattening performance showed a relationship to criteria of sperm quality. These had, however, no influence on the breeding performance of the boars. 相似文献

Inhalt Es wird ern Gerät zur Messung des eleletrischen Widerstandes des Vaginalschleimes beim Rind beschrieben. An 3 Kühen wurde die Leitfähigkeit des Scheidenschleimes während des Zyklus, nach Ovariektomie und nach Ovariektomie plus Östrogenapplikation gemessen. Der Widerstand betrug im Diöstrus 57, 1 ± 0, 6 Ohm (x?±sx), während der Hochbrunst 31, 38 and 39 Ohm (Differenz zu Diöstrus P ≦ 0,01), nach Ovariektomie 68, 6 ± 0, 2 Ohm und nach Ovariektomie plus Östrogenapplikation (2 Kühe) 36,5 and 44,5 Ohm. Contents An instrument for measuring the electrical resistance of vaginal mucus in cattle is described. The conductivity of the mucus of 3 cows was measured during the oestrous cycle, after ovariectomy, and after combined ovariectomy and oestrogen therapy. Inhalt: Bei 175 Rindern-und 190 Scbafgraviditäten wurde der Durchmesser der Corpora lutea graviditates und des gröβten und zweitgröβten Follikels gemessen.
Beim Rind bleibt das Corpus luteum graviditatis bis zum 6. Monat in etwa gleicher Gröβe bestehen, erfährt bis zum 8. Monat eine geringe Zunahme und beginnt sich im 9. Monat allmählich zurückzubilden. Beim Schaf nimmt das Corpus luteum graviditatis bis zum 3. Graviditätsmonat an Gröβe zu und danach kontinuierlich wieder ab.
Die Follikelanbildung ist bei Rind und Schaf in den ersten drei, bzw. zwei Graviditätsmonaten sehr rege. Möglicherweise findet während der Frühgravidität die Anbildung in zyklischen Intervallen statt. Im weiteren Verlauf der Trächtigkeit ist eine Abnahme der Follikelanbildung zu beobachten.
Die Untersuchungen zeigen, daβ die morpkologischen Veränderungen der Ovar-Funktionskörper während der Gravidität Parallelen zu den Schwankungen des Steroidhormongehaltes im Blut aufweisen. 相似文献

Influences of seminal plasma and extender on sperm motility, ATP-concen-tration, and the activity of acid and alkaline phosphatases of beagle dog semen. The percentage of progressively motile spermatozoa, the time of sperm survival, ATP-concentration, and the activity of the acid and alkaline phosphatases were determined in the semen of five healthy beagle dogs immediately after collection and after storage for 24 hours at +5°C. The sperm rich fraction was examined in the native state as well as after the addition of prostatic secretion and a Tris-eggyolk-medium, resp. The percentage of progressively motile spermatozoa was 64.4% in the fresh undiluted semen, 68.4% after the addition of prostatic secretion, and 74.8% after dilution with Tris-eggyolk-medium.
