Simultaneous flowering caused a gregarious dieback of umbrella bamboo (Fargesia murielae) all over the world in 1993-2000. Mountain Shennongjia in Central China‘s Hubei Province is the only native home of umbrella bamboo, where it dominates the understorey of the farges fir (Abiesfargesii) forest between 2 400 and 3 100 m, covering the ground for more than one century before a periodically flowering death. Data from 20 quadrats along a vegetation sequence revealed that the density, coverage,and height of umbrella bamboo negatively affected the species richness, diversity, and evenness of vascular plants in the forest. Local climax community of fir-bamboo was the poorest in species diversity, while the bamboo-free communities (i.e. shrubs and meadows)were bearing a higher species diversity. The simultaneous dieback of umbrella bamboo is an ecological relcase, which can pcriodically promote the plant diversity in the fir forest.  相似文献

The current area of bamboo resource in China is 7.21 million ha, 4.21 million ha of which is the pure bamboo forest The stock value of the bamboo resource is 30.312 billion Renminbi (RMB) yuan, the present value of actual output from bamboo wood and shoot is 149.062 billion RMB yuan. The bamboo forest land is valuated as much as 8.133 billion RMB yuan. It is raised to improve the production and management conditions of the 2nd and 3rd type bamboo forests to raise production capacity of wood and shoot and output of processed products from bamboo.  相似文献

Bamboo forest is an important land use in the traditional village of Penglipuran, Bali Indonesia. Bamboo growing in the rural areas can be a good choice for capturing CO2. I harvested selected culms to determine biomass content, and 50 % of dry weight biomass was calculated as carbon content. The Penglipuran bamboo forest supported six bamboo species in a one hectare sampling plot, all of the genus Gigantochloa. The clump and culm densities were 339 and 7190 ha-1, respectively.Total above- plus below-ground biomass was87.35 Mg ha-1, and carbon storage was 43.67 Mg ha-1.Carbon storage estimated in the bamboo forest at Penglipuran offers insight into the opportunity for PES(payment for ecosystem services) through emission trading mechanisms.  相似文献

This paper describes the geographical distribution, utilization, cultural value and ex-situ conservation of bamboo resources in Xishuangbanna, Yunan Province, China. Sixty species of bamboo in 19 genera are recorded in Xishuangbanna. The area of natural bamboo forest is 14319 ha, accounting for 5.92% of whole area of Xishuangbanna. The abundant resource of bamboo plays an important role in the economics and culture of national minorities in Xishuangbanna. Xishuangbanna Tropic Botanic Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), started to introduce bamboo species in 1961 and established the ex-situ conservation reserve (8 ha) of bamboo in 1981. Up to now, 211 species in 27 genera collected from tropic and sub-tropic of China and South-east Asia have been planted in the bamboo reserve, of which 11 species have bloomed and seeded, and their seeds were cultivated in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Gardens, CAS, China.  相似文献

Landscape structure is often regarded as an important factor that governs the distribution and abundance of species.Therefore it is critical to understand the landscapes and their dynamics.Patterns of landscape elements strongly influence the ecological characteristics.This study was designed to document and map the current status of the tropical dry deciduous forest of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve(TATR),Central India,(using IRS P6 LISS IV data)and to describe its landscape structure at three levels of organization viz.landscape,class,and patch.The study area was classified into 10 land cover classes that include 6vegetation classes.The landscape structure was analyzed using FRAGSTATS using 12 set of indices.The TATR landscapes have a total of2,307 patches with a mean patch size of 25.67 ha and patch density of 1.7patches per km2.Amongst all land cover classes,mixed bamboo forest is dominant—it occupied maximum area(77.99%)—while riparian forest is least represented(0.32%).Mixed forest has maximum number of patches among all vegetation classes.Results have shown that despite being dominant in the area,mixed bamboo forest has low patch density(0.25/100 ha).Dominance of mixed bamboo forest is attributed to large patch sizes and not to the number of patches.This study has focussed on the approach of integrating satellite forest classification and forest inventory data for studying forest landscape patterns.  相似文献

Remote sensing as the measure to monitor disasters has the advantage of temporal resolution and large scale. Since "5.6 catastrophe" in 1987, China began to monitor forest fires broadly. In the summer of 2002, many forest/grass fires occurred in the Daxing'anling Mountains, and the damage was very heavy. In the forest fires fighting, the meteorological satellites play an important role in monitoring the fires. Especially the FY serial meteorological satellites have the advantage of large scale monitoring and characteristics of being in time and exact, and get good results. Remote sensing techniques have been used in many aspects of forest/grass fires research, including burned area and fireline intensity evaluation, post fire environment monitoring etc.  相似文献

Coarse woody debris (CWD) is an important and particular component of forest ecosystems and is extremely important to forest health. This review describes the decomposition process, decomposition model and influence factors. CWD decomposition is a complex and continuous process and characterizes many biological and physical processes, including biological respiration, leaching, and fragmentation. All these processes have closed relationships between each other and work synergistically. During decomposition, there are many controlling factors mainly including site conditions (temperature, humidity, and OJCO2concentration), woody substrate quality (diameter, species and compound) and organism in CWD. The decomposition rate is generally expresses through a constant k which indicate the percent mass, volume or density loss over time, and can be determined by long-term monitoring, chronosequence approach and the radio between input and the total mass. Now using mathematical models to simulate decomposition patterns and estimate the decomposition rate is widely applied, especially the exponential model. We brought forward that managing and utilizing for the CWD in forest was a primary objective on all forest lands. And it is should be intensified to integrate many related research subjects and to carry a comprehensive, long-term and multi-scale research which mainly focus on seven sections.  相似文献

The chemical composition and fiber characteristics of two sympodial bamboos have been studied in this paper. Based on analysis results, it is shown that the Whangee (D. Membranaceus Munro) bamboo is better than Yunnanicus bamboo(D. yunnaicus Hsueh et D. Z. Li) in utilization because of its higher specific gravity, better fiber length and its distribution rule and higher wall/lumen ratio, and that the Whangee bamboo is more suitable for papermaking and panel processing used in house construction. In addition, the higher benzene-ethanol extractives of the Whangee bamboo can be an advantage for anti-decay in architecture processing and utilization compared with the Yunnanicus bamboo.  相似文献

Bamboo forest is an important forest type in subtropical China and is characterized by fast growth and high carbon sequestration capacity. However, the dynamics of carbon fluxes during the fast growing period of bamboo shoots and their correlation with environment factors are poorly understood. We measured carbon dioxide exchange and climate variables using open-path eddy covariance methods during the 2011 growing season in a Moso bamboo forest(MB, Phyllostchys edulis) and a Lei bamboo forest(LB, Phyllostachys violascens) in Zhejiang province,China. The bamboo forests were carbon sinks during the growing season. The minimum diurnal net ecosystem exchange(NEE) at MB and LB sites were-0.64 and-0.66 mg C m-2 s-1, respectively. The minimum monthly NEE, ecosystem respiration(RE), and gross ecosystem exchange(GEE) were-99.3 ± 4.03, 76.2 ±2.46, and-191.5 ± 4.98 g C m-2 month-1, respectively,at MB site, compared with-31.8 ± 3.44, 70.4 ± 1.41,and-157.9 ± 4.86 g C m-2 month-1, respectively, at LB site. Maximum RE was 92.1 ± 1.32 g C m-2 month-1 at MB site and 151.0 ± 2.38 g C m-2 month-1 at LB site.Key control factors varied by month during the growing season, but across the whole growing season, NEE and GEE at both sites showed similar trends in sensitivities to photosynthetic active radiation and vapor pressure deficit,and air temperature had the strongest correlation with RE at both sites. Carbon fluxes at LB site were more sensitive to soil water content compared to those at MB site. Both onyear(years when many new shoots are produced) and offyear(years when none or few new shoots are produced)should be studied in bamboo forests to better understand their role in global carbon cycling.  相似文献

在毛竹经营中,一般认为,毛竹林大小年生长周期分明的经济效益低,应采取一定措施对大小年竹林加以培育使其成为花年竹林。笔者在多年的竹林经营管理与调查中发现,同样管理条件下,大小年竹林年平均出笋成竹量并不比花年竹林低,并且大小年竹林在管理中有其独特的优点。  相似文献

近年来,由于毛竹林经营劳动力不足、经营水平低下、效益下滑等原因,致使浙江湖州一些毛竹产区出现许多因放弃管理而导致的退化毛竹林。将退化毛竹林改建为珍贵树种林基地是提高林地生产力、增加林农收入、实现林业可持续发展的有效途径。在安吉县报福镇汤口村,选取紫楠、黄山栾树、浙江樟、红豆树和榉树等5个珍贵树种对11.2 hm2近6年无人管理的退化毛竹林进行改造,结果表明,经过4年抚育管理,各树种生长良好,对造林立地表现出较好的适应性,树高、胸径生长达到预期目标,退化毛竹林改造为珍贵树种林取得初步成功。研究结果为退化毛竹林改造成为高价值珍贵树种林提供了可借鉴的经验。  相似文献

实施国家储备材和储备林制度是保障我国木材安全的重要手段。我国竹林资源丰富,竹子种类与竹林面积均居世界首位,竹材长期以来对维持木材供给平衡发挥了重要作用。然而,竹林作为我国森林资源的重要组成部分,没有被纳入国家储备材或国家储备林计划进行管理。文中在分析我国木材安全现状与形势的基础上,阐述了实施国家竹材储备战略计划的重要意义与保障措施,提出建设竹材储备国家体系,制定长期国家规划,对每年成熟的竹材当年采伐、合理利用、及时储备,对于充分发挥竹资源潜力、促进竹产业高质量发展和保障国家木材安全具有重要意义。  相似文献

应用文献研究、重要竹产区问卷调查等方法研究了中国竹资源培育现状与增产潜力。结果表明,中国竹种研究利用不充分,有文献报道的竹种约60种,不足竹种总数的10%,且主要为毛竹;在竹林资源中低产、低效林占竹林总面积的比例较大,为45.8%,加强竹林经营能明显提高竹林的生产力;竹林经营成本较高,占竹林经营收益的40%~78%,是制约竹林经营的主要因素;自1973年以来竹林面积每年以约2.7%的速度增加,竹林面积的增加带来了巨大的增产潜力。文章建议,应拓展特色竹种质的研究与利用,提高竹林经营管理水平,降低经营成本,同时增强竹资源供给能力,以便更好地支撑竹产业的健康发展。  相似文献

中国竹林可持续经营认证的必要性和可行性研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
通过文献研究、野外调查和专家研讨和咨询等研究方法,从中国竹林经营现状和世界森林可持续经营认证(简称森林认证)发展趋势入手,对中国开展竹林可持续经营认证的必要性和可行性进行了研究。结果表明,竹林快速生长和更新特性使竹林具有一定的可持续经营性,同时,中国现有的竹林经营技术实践在一定程度上满足了可持续经营的要求。但是,中国有较大面积的人工经营天然次生竹林,长期高强度集约经营对整个竹林生态系统的复杂性和完整性也造成了很大影响,由此引发了很多集约经营的生产性竹林水土流失、地力下降、生物多样性丧失、严重病虫害频发等生态问题,威胁着竹林可持续经营。根据我们的研究,按照目前森林认证发展趋势,竹林可持续经营认证作为促进竹林可持续经营的市场激励手段之一,是值得研究和尝试的。在中国开展绩效性的竹林可持续经营认证,不但有利于中国竹产品在国际贸易中克服绿色贸易壁垒,保持竞争优势,也有利于引导和促进中国竹林的可持续经营实践。总体上竹林认证是必要的。但在可行性方面面临一些问题和挑战。鉴于竹林本身的生物学和生态学特性、竹林经营的技术特点、竹林产品为非木质林产品的特殊性以及我国较为普遍的分户经营特点,可开展小范围试点研究,解决如何开展中小农户的联合认证问题和认证成本过高的问题,同时确保中小农户的利益和竹产品的公平贸易,为进一步的推广行动提供技术支持。在研究和推进竹林可持续经营认证的过程中,要充分考虑与中国现有竹林经营的行业标准和经营实践相衔接和适应。除了要充分利用国内外现有森林认证的理论、技术和经验,还必须充分与竹产业的生产、教学和研究人员进行磋商,充分利用现有竹业经营和开发的经验和技术。以期通过可持续经营认证,保护中国竹产品的国际贸易竞争力,同时积极引导和促进中国竹林可持续经营实践的发展和行业标准的制定。  相似文献

作为现代产品分析和管理决策的一种科学评价工具,生命周期评价方法在很多研究领域得到不断的深入和完善.在森林及林产品方面木材一直是该方法的研究热点,但是竹材方向的类似研究却较少.随着“以竹代木”的环境发展需求日益迫切,在前人的基础上以竹家具为例,以EDIP模型方法为基础对竹制品的生命周期评价进行模式构建,希望能使竹制品的环境评价更具体有效.  相似文献
