为了确诊一例犬乳腺肿瘤的种类,试验应用石蜡切片制作技术、苏木精-伊红染色(HE),对肿瘤组织进行了病理组织学的研究。结果显示,肿瘤组织内有不同分化程度的典型癌巢出现,巢癌间可见大量炎性细胞浸润,癌腔内可见脱落的角化细胞,癌巢中棘细胞呈同心圆状排列,细胞嗜酸性增强,核浓缩及角质化程度增大,中心形成透明的强嗜酸性的角质化癌珠。经过病理组织学研究确诊该肿瘤为发生在乳腺组织的鳞状细胞癌。  相似文献

笔者在临床中接诊了1例病例,英国斗牛犬(6.5岁),雄性,体重35 kg,左后肢第5脚趾甲下肿大、疼痛,指甲缺失,脚趾尖表面溃烂有结痂。通过病史、临床检查、实验室检验、影像学检查、细胞学检查和病理组织学检查,确诊该犬患有鳞状上皮细胞癌,通过手术治疗将患病部位彻底切除,术后回访该犬恢复健康。该病例表明确诊犬磷状上皮细胞癌的最佳方法是病理组织学检查,最佳治疗手段是手术治疗。  相似文献

对金毛巡回猎犬的体表多处肿物采用临床检查、血常规、血生化、X射线检查,对切除后的肿物进行病理组织学分析。结果:颈背部肿物组织为黑褐色有包囊团块,脚趾部肿物组织为黑色松果样增生物;观察病理组织切片可见大量基底细胞和黑色素细胞变异增生,颈背部组织由表示恶化程度较高的基底细胞癌癌巢形成,并可见大量黑色素细胞和黑色素颗粒,脚趾处组织可见黑色素瘤细胞大小不等、排列不整齐,有的成漩涡状,有的呈梭形、束状。根据临床症状、实验室检测结果、病理组织学分析,该犬颈背部肿物为色素型基底细胞癌,脚趾处肿物为恶性黑色素瘤。  相似文献

收集深圳市2010年-2012年部分宠物医院的犬肿瘤病例41例,采用组织病理学方法对犬肿瘤病例进行组织学分类,并对患病动物的年龄、性别和发生部位进行了统计分析。38例确诊肿瘤病例中,皮肤肿瘤有19例,包括鳞状细胞癌4例、基底细胞癌5例、乳头状瘤3例,皮脂腺瘤和肛周腺癌各2例,脂肪瘤、黑色素瘤、角化棘皮瘤各1例;乳腺肿瘤9例,包括乳腺癌3例、乳腺鳞状细胞癌2例、乳腺癌肉瘤2例、黏液癌1例,患犬以雌性为主;其他部位肿瘤分别有纤维肉瘤2例,血管瘤、肺癌、淋巴瘤、睾丸精原细胞瘤、睾丸支柱细胞瘤、组织细胞癌、鳞状细胞癌、乳头状瘤各1例。上述结果显示,犬肿瘤的高发部位是皮肤,其次是乳腺,其发生年龄以7岁以上为多,在发病动物的品种上没有明显差别;除乳腺肿瘤外,其余肿瘤的性别差异不大。本研究为犬肿瘤的流行病学及诊断提供了参考依据。  相似文献

The purposes of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of cobalt-60 radiotherapy in the treatment of nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal cavity in dogs and to compare this treatment group to historical controls. Six dogs with histopathologically confirmed nasal cavity nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma were treated with cobalt-60 radiotherapy to a total dose of either 63 Gy or 54 Gy. Overall survival times ranged from 30 days to 330 days, with a median survival time of 165 days. Nasal cavity nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma in the dog is an aggressive tumor that responds poorly to radiotherapy.  相似文献

Biotinylated lectins and avidin-biotin-peroxidase complex were used to study the correlation between cellular glycoconjugates' expression and squamous maturation in normal canine skin and in various epithelial neoplasms. Normal skin tissue was obtained from five, male, random-source dogs, 5 to 7 years old. The tumors tested, selected from the files of our Department, were fifteen squamous cell carcinomas from different tissue origin, five hepatoid perianal gland adenocarcinomas with squamous metaplasia, and fourteen solid mammary carcinomas with and without histologic evidence of squamous metaplasia. Except for mammary gland carcinomas, all tumors had been surgically excised from male dogs. Intermediate filament aggregation of twelve solid mammary gland carcinomas were studied electron microscopically. The basal and the lower spinous cells in normal skin and the less differentiated cells in squamous cell carcinomas stained moderately with Griffonia simplicifolia agglutinin-I. Spinous and granular cell layers stained strongly with Phytolacca americana mitogen and Arachis hypogaea agglutinin. Both lectins stained well-differentiated cells in squamous cell carcinomas. The electron microscopic study carried out in solid carcinomas of mammary glands revealed some relationship between the presence of intracytoplasmic tonofibrils and the binding of Griffonia simplicifolia agglutinin-I and Phytolacca americana mitogen to the tumors tested. Our results suggest that the glycosylation pattern occurring during normal keratinocyte differentiation is conserved in squamous cell carcinomas and that Griffonia simplicifolia agglutinin-I and Phytolacca americana mitogen may represent useful tools in distinguishing poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinomas from other poorly differentiated mammary epithelial tumors.  相似文献

Bovine ocular squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the second most common cause of rejection due to neoplasia in slaughterhouses on Sao Miguel Island, Azores, and accounts for significant economic losses. To obtain a better insight into the genesis and neoplastic transformation process of bovine OSCC, abnormal protein expression and proliferation index were assessed by the immunohistochemical evaluation of p53 and Ki67, respectively. OSCC samples were collected from 15 bovines and were classified histologically according to the degree of differentiation into three categories: poorly, moderately, and well differentiated. Immunohistochemistry using polyclonal anti-human p53 antibody and polyclonal anti-human Ki67 antibody was performed. Ten of 15 tumors tested were immunoreactive for p53. Twelve tumors demonstrated Ki67 expression. As in human squamous cell carcinoma, p53 overexpression is frequent in bovine OSCC, providing support for a possible role of the protein in the pathogenesis of this neoplasia. No correlation between the percentage of p53 stained nuclei and the degree of differentiation was observed, although different patterns of staining were seen according to the degree of keratinization of the tumor cells. With the exception of the moderately differentiated OSCC group, Ki67 index showed significant correlation with the histologic pattern, increased proliferation being found in poorly differentiated OSCC (P = 0.013).  相似文献

The gross and histopathologic findings for a primary tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma in a captive 11-yr-old male polar wolf (Canis lupus arctos) are described. The carcinoma had metastasized to regional lymph nodes of the pharynx, the precardial mediastinum, and the lungs. Tumor suppressor protein TP53 was detected by immunohistochemistry in the nuclei of poorly differentiated, cytokeratin-positive cells of the primary neoplasm and the metastases. Canine oral papillomavirus DNA was not detectable by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).  相似文献

A case of aural carcinoma with chondroid metaplasia at metastatic foci in an 8-year-old male pug is described. Multiple metastases in both lungs and the right submandibular, parotid, retropharyngeal, cervical and prescapular lymph nodes were detected. Histologically, the skin of the right ear canal appeared to be diffusely infiltrated by cords and nests of neoplastic epithelial cells, showing multifocal contiguity with the overlying hyperplastic squamous epithelium. Most of the carcinomatous cells were arranged in a glandular-like pattern, with formation of lumens containing epithelial cells attached to the peripheral cell layer by elongated intercellular bridges. Scattered foci of keratinization with central accumulations of compact, laminated keratin were also observed, and histochemical stains failed to detect mucinous secretory material. Even though histological and histochemical findings were compatible with a diagnosis of acantholytic squamous cell carcinoma, CAM5.2 immunostaining was detectable in the majority, although not all, neoplastic cells, confirming a diagnosis of poorly differentiated ceruminous gland carcinoma. Pulmonary metastatic nodules revealed multifocal areas of cartilaginous metaplasia with apparent transition of carcinomatous cells to chondroid cells, showing nuclear atypia and focal cytokeratin immunostaining. Carcinomatous cells surrounding chondroid areas also revealed focal vimentin and S100 immunoreactivity. Histological evidence of transition between the two components, as well as the presence of intermediate cells displaying both epithelial and mesenchymal immunohistochemical features, strongly indicated a final diagnosis of carcinosarcoma, in which chondrosarcomatous elements were derived from carcinoma cells.  相似文献

Claudin-5 is an endothelium-specific tight junction protein. The aim of the present study was to detect the expression pattern of this molecule in intact pancreatic tissues and in well-differentiated and poorly differentiated pancreatic acinar cell carcinomas from dogs by the use of cross-reactive humanised anticlaudin-5 antibody. The necropsy samples taken from dogs included 10 nonneoplastic pancreatic tissues, 10 well-differentiated pancreatic acinar cell carcinomas, 10 poorly differentiated pancreatic acinar cell carcinomas, 5 intrahepatic metastases of well-differentiated and 5 intrahepatic metastases of poorly differentiated acinar cell carcinomas. A strong lateral membrane claudin-5 positivity was detected in exocrine cells in all intact pancreas samples. The endocrine cells of the islets of Langerhans and the epithelial cells of the ducts were negative for claudin-5. The endothelial cells of vessels and lymphatic channels in the stroma of the intact pancreas showed strong membrane positivity for this claudin. All well-differentiated exocrine pancreas carcinomas and all poorly-differentiated pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma samples showed a diffuse loss of claudin-5 expression. The claudin-5-positive peritumoural vessels and lymphatic channels facilitated the detection of vascular invasion of the claudin-5-negative cancer cells. In liver metastasis samples, the pancreatic carcinomas were negative for claudin-5. It seems that the loss of expression of claudin-5 may lead to carcinogenesis in canine exocrine pancreatic cells.  相似文献

Four cases of neoplasms in the heads of old dogs were studied. All the dogs showed both carcinomatous and sarcomatous malignant components in an admixed growing pattern. Histologic analysis of the tumors showed that the carcinomatous cells resembled squamous cell carcinoma in all dogs except one, where an adenoid arrangement of the neoplastic cells was also observed. The sarcomatous component showed osteoid matrix produced by pleomorphic poorly differentiated cells, which is regarded as a typical feature of osteosarcomas. Immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated that the components were positive only for cytokeratin (carcinomatous component) or vimentin (sarcomatous component). This observation led us to classify the neoplasms as true carcinosarcomas, thus providing evidence of a new preferential location for this unusual tumor in dog.  相似文献

A 10-year-old, female, pot-bellied pig (Sus scrofa) experienced a 3-month history of reduced appetite, dysphagia, and weight loss. Clinical examination revealed a mass in the left part of the oral cavity extending from the hard to the soft palate. At necropsy, a firm, white, poorly demarcated ulcerated mass at the left hard and soft palate with metastases to the left retropharyngeal lymph node and the lung was observed. Additional findings included a uterine adenocarcinoma, a hepatocellular adenoma, and nodular hyperplasias in spleen and adrenal glands. Histologically, the poorly demarcated, infiltrative growing oral mass consisted of islands, cords, and single epithelial cells with moderate squamous differentiation. Cells were strongly positive for cytokeratin by immunohistochemistry. Similar cells were found in the left retropharyngeal lymph node and the lung. The present findings represent the first report of a metastasizing oral squamous cell carcinoma in a pig.  相似文献

This report describes an 8.8-year-old Simmental cow with squamous cell carcinoma of the reticulum and liver. The cow had calved recently and was referred to our clinic because of intractable fever, anorexia and progressive indigestion. The general condition and mental status were moderately affected and rectal temperature and respiratory rate were significantly elevated. There were no ruminal sounds and pinching of the withers consistently elicited a grunt. Serum activities of gamma glutamyl transferase, glutamate dehydrogenase and sorbitol dehydrogenase were elevated. Radiographic examination of the reticulum and ultrasonographic examination of the reticulum, liver and abdominal cavity revealed multifocal, poorly demarcated, heterogeneous and echogenic changes in the liver. Biopsy of these lesions yielded a diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma. The cow was euthanized and a postmortem examination confirmed the diagnosis. A 15 by 15 cm neoplasm was found in the reticular wall, and histological examination showed squamous cell carcinoma. It was assumed that the reticular mass was the primary tumour, which metastasized to the liver via the portal vein.  相似文献
