An experiment involving 25 experiment stations in the North Central and Southern regions (NCR-42 and S-288, respectively) was conducted to assess the degree of uniformity of diet mixing among stations and to assess the variability among station laboratories in chemical analysis of mixed diets. A fortified corn-soybean meal diet was mixed at each station using a common diet formula (except for vitamin and trace-mineral additions). The diet was calculated to contain 14% crude protein (CP), 0.65% Ca, 0.50% P, and 125 ppm Zn (based on 100 ppm added Zn). After mixing, samples were collected from the initial 5% of feed discharged from the mixer, after 25, 50, and 75% was discharged, and from the final 5% of discharged feed. The five samples were sent to the University of Kentucky, finely ground, and divided into subsamples. Each set of five subsamples from each station was distributed to three randomly selected stations for analysis of CP, Ca, P, and Zn (i.e., each station analyzed five diet sub-samples from three other stations). In addition, two commercial and two station laboratories analyzed composites of the five subsamples from each of the 25 mixed diets. Based on the laboratories that analyzed all diets, means were 13.5, 0.65, and 0.52%, and 115 ppm for CP, Ca, P, and Zn, respectively. Ranges of 11.8 to 14.6% CP, 0.52 to 0.85% Ca, 0.47 to 0.58% P, and 71 to 182 ppm of Zn were found among the 25 diet mixes. The coefficients of variation among the 25 diet samples for CP, Ca, P, and Zn were 4.3, 9.3, 4.1, and 17.4%, and among the 25 laboratories were 3.6, 12.5, 10.7, and 11.1%, respectively. Overall analyses of the five sub samples were, respectively, CP: 13.4, 13.6, 13.4, 13.5, and 13.4% (P < 0.06); Ca: 0.66, 0.67, 0.67, 0.66, and 0.67%; P: 0.50,0.51,0.51,0.50, and 0.50%; and Zn: 115, 116, 112, 113, and 120 ppm (P < 0.001). Diets were not uniformly mixed at all stations (station x sample No. was P < 0.08 for Ca and P < 0.01 for CP, P, and Zn). Among stations, the range of the five samples, expressed as a percentage of the mean and averaged for CP, Ca, P, and Zn, varied from +/- 1.1% (i.e., 98.9 to 101.0%) to +/- 12.9% (84.6 to 110.4%), with an overall average of +/- 5.2%. Neither type nor volume of mixers was related to mixing uniformity. The results suggest that uniformity of diet mixes varies among experiment stations, that some stations miss their targeted levels of nutrients (especially Zn), and that the variability among experiment station laboratories in analysis of dietary Ca, P, and Zn in mixed diets is quite large.  相似文献

试验旨在使用“大型动物开放回流式呼吸测热装置”并结合生长代谢试验,研究纤维素酶和活性干酵母对草原红牛日粮表观消化率及能量代谢的影响。选用8月龄健康、体重(170±10)kg的草原红牛公牛4头,采用4×4拉丁方试验设计,以混合精料和羊草为基础日粮。试验分4期,每期37 d。Ⅰ组为空白对照组,在日粮中不添加纤维素酶和活性干酵母;Ⅱ组在日粮中添加190 mg/kg纤维素酶;Ⅲ组在日粮中添加200 mg/kg活性干酵母;Ⅳ组在日粮中添加190 mg/kg纤维素酶+200 mg/kg活性干酵母。结果表明:①Ⅲ、Ⅳ组干物质消化率与Ⅰ组相比均差异显著(P<0.05),Ⅲ组与Ⅰ组相比干物质消化率提高了9.01%;②Ⅲ组对日粮中有机物质、粗蛋白质、无氮浸出物、酸性洗涤纤维、中性洗涤纤维、纤维素和半纤维素的表观消化率影响与Ⅰ组相比均差异显著(P<0.05),Ⅲ组纤维素和半纤维素的表观消化率与Ⅰ组相比分别提高了14.65%和18.81%;③Ⅲ组对能量代谢中的消化能和代谢能影响与Ⅰ、Ⅱ组相比均差异显著(P<0.05),与Ⅳ组相比差异不显著(P>0.05),Ⅳ组比Ⅰ组相比代谢能提高了16.63%;④纤维素酶和活性干酵母混合添加未见组合效应。提示,活性干酵母能提高草原红牛日粮利用率及减少能量损失,混合添加未见叠加效应。  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of a combined low-protein, low-phosphorus diet supplemented with limiting amino acids and microbial phytase on performance, nutrient utilization and carcass characteristics of late-finishing barrows. 4 x 8 crossbreed barrows were continuously housed in metabolism cages from 70-110 kg BW and were fed diets, either conventional (A) or protein reduced (B) or protein and phosphorus reduced diets (C) based on barley, maize and soybean meal. Diet A (positive control) contained in air dry matter 13% and 10% CP as well as 0.49% and 0.42% P at growth phases I (70-100 kg BW) or 11 (100-110 kg BW), respectively. Diet B was low in CP (11.3%, 8.4%), diet C low in CP and low in P (CP: as B, P: 0.36%, 0.30%). To diet B the limiting amino acids lysine, methionine, threonine and trypthophan were added to meet the levels in diet A. To diet C the limiting amino acids and 800 FTU/kg Aspergillus-phytase were supplemented. At the end of the balance periods the barrows were slaughtered, the carcasses scored and loin chops, ham and Phalanx prima IV were analysed for nutrients and minerals. The CP or P reduction in diets B and C did not generally negatively affect growth, feed efficiency, absolute nitrogen retention or overall carcass performances of the pigs. With the low CP diets B and C, N excretion per unit BWG was decreased by about 23%. The addition of microbial phytase (diet C) increased apparent total tract digestibility of P by about 20%. In spite of 30% reduction of P intake (diet C), the absolute P retention related to 1 kg BW did not differ between treatments. Thus, phytase supplementation in diet C reduced P excretion per unit BWG by about 33%. Phytase raised apparent digestibility of Zn by about 20% but not Ca digestibility. Generally the carcass traits and meat characteristics were not affected by any of the diet strategies. Mineralization of the Phalanx prima IV was also similar in all treatment groups. However, phytase supplementation led to significantly increased zinc concentration in bones (25%). In contrast, Fe incorporation into the Phalanx prima IV was not affected. In general, the feeding regimen introduced in this experiment offers substantial benefits in maintaining a sustainable environmental-friendly pork production even at the stage of late-finishing barrows.  相似文献

Feed preference in pigs: relationship with feed particle size and texture   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In previous studies, we observed important differences in the feed preferences of pigs resulting from changes in only 1 dietary ingredient. The present experiment was conducted to study the relationship between the feed preference values of feeds reported previously and their particle size and texture characteristics. The effect of individual feed ingredients was studied when added to a common basal diet. In addition to the basal diet, which included rice, a soybean meal product containing 56% CP, sunflower oil, and wheat bran, a total of 126 diets were studied. Of these, 63 were prepared by replacing the rice in the basal diet with another cereal, 29 by replacing the soybean product with different protein sources, 19 by replacing the sunflower oil with different lipid sources, and 6 by replacing the wheat bran with different fiber sources. Cereals were studied at inclusion rates of 150, 300, and 600 g x kg(-1); protein sources were studied at 50, 100, and 200 g x kg(-1); lipids were studied at 15, 30, and 100 g x kg(-1); and fiber sources were studied at 65 and 130 g x kg(-1). The particle size profile of all the diets was determined by using a 9-screen sieve shaker. The geometric mean particle size, particle size uniformity, number of particles per gram, surface area (cm(2) x g(-1)), and percentage of fine (passing through a 250-microm sieve) and coarse particles (remaining in a 2,000-microm sieve) were calculated. The texture properties (hardness, fragility, chewing work, and adhesiveness) of the feeds were also determined by using a texture analyzer. The Pearson correlation coefficients of these variables with feed preference were as follows: geometric mean particle size (r = 0.07; P = 0.45), particle size uniformity (r = 0.16; P = 0.07), number of particles per gram (r = -0.05; P = 0.61), surface area (r = -0.07; P = 0.46), percentage of coarse particles (r = 0.04; P = 0.65), percentage of fine particles (r = -0.12; P = 0.19), hardness (r = -0.21; P = 0.02), fragility (r = -0.20; P = 0.03), chewing work (r = -0.33; P < 0.001), and adhesiveness (r = 0.02; P = 0.78). It was concluded that the texture properties of the feed could explain in part the feed preferences observed in pigs, whereas particle size characteristics had less impact.  相似文献

Twenty-four lambs, averaging 29 kg, were used to determine the effect of supplemental dietary Fe on performance and Cu, P, Zn and Mn utilization. Treatments consisted of supplemental Fe at 0, 300, 600 or 1,200 mg/kg diet as ferrous carbonate. The basal diet contained 154 mg Fe/kg diet and consisted of 90% Coastal bermudagrass pellets, 9.45% group corn, .5% sodium chloride and .05% vitamin mix. Lambs were slaughtered after having ad libitum access to diets for 98 to 121 d. Dietary Fe did not affect lamb gain or feed intake. Supplemental Fe increased Fe concentrations in liver (P less than .01), spleen (P less than .01) and bone (P less than .10), but not in kidney and muscle. Serum Fe concentrations and percentage transferrin saturation in serum were increased (P less than .01) by supplemental Fe at 28 and 84 d, but not at the termination of the study. Plasma Cu was decreased (P less than .01) at 56 d, whereas serum ceruloplasmin activity was reduced (P less than .01) at 28 d in lambs fed 1,200 mg Fe/kg diet compared with lambs fed 600 mg Fe/kg diet. Lower levels of Fe (300 and 600) reduced (P less than .01) ceruloplasmin by 56 d and plasma Cu by 84 d compared with controls. Liver Cu also was decreased (P less than .05) by supplemental Fe. Eight dual-flow continuous culture fermenters (1.03 +/- 0.05 L) were used to assess differences in microbial degradation of the soluble CP fraction of canola meal (CMSCP), soybean meal (SBMSCP), and fish meal (FMSCP) using a completely randomized design with two 9-d experimental periods and a solution of tryptone as a control treatment (control). All fermenters received the same basal diet (58% ground corn, 40% canary grass hay, 0.4% vitamin-mineral premix, 1% CaCO(3), 0.6% salt on a DM basis) in 8 equal portions daily. During sampling on the last 3 d of each period, 90-mL doses containing soluble CP were infused into the fermenters 30 min after the beginning of the first and last feedings of the day. The total amount of soluble CP supplied by the infusions of FMSCP, CMSCP, and SBMSCP was 3.2 g/d, representing 24% of the daily dietary CP intake. Infusion of FMSCP resulted in the greatest (P < 0.05) NH(3)-N concentration (4.6 +/- 0.40 mg/dL) compared with the other treatments (0.5 +/- 0.40 mg/dL). Microbial N flow (g/d) from the fermenters was also greatest (P < 0.05) with FMSCP (1.42 +/- 0.062) compared with the other soluble CP fractions (1.08 +/- 0.062). The efficiency of microbial protein synthesis tended to be lowest with the control diet, and the efficiency of N utilization was lowest with FMSCP treatment. These results indicate that N was limiting microbial growth in the control diet, and there was more rumen-available N with the FMSCP diet compared with the other dietary treatments. The extent of degradation of the soluble CP fraction from fish meal, soybean meal, and canola meal was determined to be 99, 30, and 37% of soluble CP, respectively. These results indicate that the soluble CP fraction is not 100% degraded in all feeds and that assuming a high degradation extent of the soluble CP fraction from soybean meal and canola meal may result in an underestimation of the supply of undegradable protein from these protein sources.  相似文献

探讨添加剂和不同混合比例对裸燕麦和紫花苜蓿混贮饲料品质的影响,为开展牧草混播及调制高质量的混合青贮饲料提供参考。以裸燕麦和紫花苜蓿为原料,按质量比1∶1、2∶1和1∶2进行混合青贮,并分别加入0.4% 甲酸(formic acid,FA)或2%蔗糖(sucrose,S),青贮60 d后测定混合青贮饲料的发酵品质和营养物质含量。结果显示,裸燕麦与苜蓿混合比例为2∶1时青贮饲料的感官评价上均优于其余2种混合比例,添加0.4%甲酸或者2%蔗糖,感官评定为优并显著高于对照组(P<0.05)。混合青贮饲料的发酵品质随裸燕麦比例增加而不同程度提高。其中,pH值随裸燕麦比例增加而逐渐降低;在裸燕麦与苜蓿混合比例在2∶1时,添加2%蔗糖组乳酸(lactic acid,LA)含量显著高于对照及0.4%甲酸处理组(P<0.05),且与另外2种混合比例的处理组相比差异均显著(P<0.05);此混合比例下添加0.4%甲酸处理组pH值和氨态氮/总氮(AN/TN)较低,乙酸(acetic acid,AA)和总挥发性脂肪酸(total VFA,TVFAs)含量最低,乳酸含量及乳酸/乙酸(LA/AA)较高,丙酸(propionic acid,PA)和丁酸(butyrate acid,BA)含量极低未检出,V-Score评分最高,总体发酵品质最佳。随苜蓿比例增加,混贮饲料CP含量提高,纤维组分(NDF、ADF和HC)含量降低,青贮饲料养分更加均衡,但添加剂对青贮饲料营养成分影响不大。裸燕麦与紫花苜蓿混合青贮可形成养分互补,提高营养价值;加入适量甲酸或蔗糖有助于抑制不良发酵,提高发酵品质。  相似文献

Two experiments with a randomized complete block design were conducted to determine the effects of phase feeding of CP on performance, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), manure N:P ratio, and carcass characteristics of steers fed in a feedlot. In Exp. 1, 45 crossbred steers (initial BW = 423 +/- 3.3 kg) were individually fed a diet formulated to contain 13.0% CP (DM basis) for 62 d. On d 63, the dietary CP was maintained at 13.0% or formulated to contain 11.5 or 10.0% CP until slaughter. Actual CP values were 12.8, 11.8, and 9.9%, respectively. Reducing the CP concentration of the diet did not affect ADG of steers from d 62 to 109 (P = 0.54) or over the 109-d feeding period (1.45, 1.50, and 1.49 kg/d for 13.0, 11.5, and 10.0% CP, respectively; P = 0.85). No differences (P > 0.12) among treatments were detected for BUN concentrations on d 0, 62, or 109. Gain:feed, DMI, and carcass characteristics did not differ among treatments (P > 0.10). In Exp. 2, 2 trials were conducted using 184 (initial BW = 406 +/- 2.6 kg) and 162 (initial BW = 342 +/- 1.9 kg) crossbred steers. Data from the 2 trials were pooled for statistical analysis, and trial effect was added to the statistical model. Steers were fed a diet formulated to contain 13.0% CP until reaching approximately 477 kg. When the average BW of the pen was 477 kg, diets were maintained at 13.0% CP or reduced to contain 11.5 or 10.0% CP. Actual CP values were 12.4, 11.5, and 9.3% CP for treatments 13.0, 11.5, and 10.0% CP, respectively. Reducing the CP content of the diet did not affect ADG after the diet changed (P = 0.16) or throughout the finishing period (P = 0.14). Immediately before slaughter, steers fed the 13.0% CP diet had greater (P < 0.001) BUN concentrations than steers fed the 11.5 and 10.0% CP diets. Carcasses from cattle fed the 11.5% CP diet had greater (P = 0.02) fat thickness than the 13.0 and 10.0% CP treatments, whereas carcasses from cattle fed 13.0% CP had greater (P = 0.004) marbling scores than steers fed the 11.5 or 10.0% CP diets. Other carcass characteristics, DMI, and G:F did not differ (P > 0.10) among treatments. The N:P ratio was increased with the 10.0% CP diet (P = 0.02) compared with the 11.5 or 13.5% CP treatments; however, manure composition did not differ (P > 0.10) among treatments. These results indicate that reduced CP concentration during the finishing period does not affect feedlot performance but can improve the N and P relationship in the manure.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the effects of mixing time (mixer efficiency) of diets containing several low-inclusion ingredients (crystalline AA, ZnO, a medication, and vitamin and trace mineral premixes) on growth performance of nursery pigs. In a pilot study, mixing efficiency of a 1,360-kg capacity, horizontal ribbon mixer was evaluated with salt of different particle sizes (440, 730, 2,000, and 3,000 microm). Sample preparation was evaluated by analyzing diet samples as collected (unground) or by grinding the entire sample to approximately 400 microm in particle size (ground). Diets (907 kg) were mixed, and samples were collected after 0, 30, 60, 120, 210, 330, 480, and 630 s of mixing. The coefficient of variation among 10 samples for each mixing time was used to measure mixer efficiency as determined by Cl concentration. A salt particle size x sample preparation x mixing time interaction was observed (P = 0.04). Samples with 2,000- or 3,000-microm salt particle size (unground or ground) never reached the desired mixing efficiency of a 10% CV. Using 440-microm salt (unground or ground) or 730-microm salt particle sizes (ground) was necessary to accurately achieve a mixing efficiency of a <10% CV within 330 and 630 s, respectively. Next, 180 weanling pigs (PIC, 6.31 +/- 0.84 kg of BW, 21 +/- 3 d of age) were fed diets in 2 phases (d 0 to 14 and d 14 to 28). Treatments consisted of mixing diets for 0, 30, 60, 120, or 330 s (440-microm salt particle size). Samples were collected in the mixer, and then each bag of feed (22.5 kg) was labeled (first to last as-manufactured) and sampled to determine the mixing efficiency. An individual bag of feed was fed to a single pen of pigs, and when finished, the next sequential bag was used. As mixing time increased, mixer CV were 178, 38, 26, 21, and 5% for phase 1 and 172, 79, 60, 48, and 26% for phase 2. As mixing time increased, bag CV values were 26, 20, 16, 11, and 7% for phase 1 and 56, 45, 40, 33, and 12% for phase 2. From d 0 to 14, increasing mixing time increased ADG (linear, P < 0.01) and G:F (quadratic, P = 0.03). From d 0 to 28, increasing mixing time increased ADG (quadratic, P < 0.01) and G:F (linear, P = 0.04). These data demonstrate that inadequate diet mixing (CV > 12%) reduces nursery pig performance.  相似文献

Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) was used to predict the nutritional value of dog foods sold in Chile. Fifty-nine dry foods for adult and growing dogs were collected, ground and scanned across the visible/NIR range and subsequently analysed for dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), crude fibre (CF), total fat, linoleic acid, gross energy (GE), estimated metabolizable energy (ME) and several amino acids and minerals. Calibration equations were developed by modified partial least squares regression, and tested by cross-validation. Standard error of cross validation (SE(CV)) and coefficient of determination of cross validation (SE(CV)) were used to select best equations. Equations with good predicting accuracy were obtained for DM, CF, CP, GE and fat. Corresponding values for and SE(CV) were 0.96 and 1.7 g/kg, 0.91 and 3.1 g/kg, 0.99 and 5.0 g/kg, 0.93 and 0.26 MJ/kg, 0.89 and 12.4 g/kg. Several amino acids were also well predicted, such as arginine, leucine, isoleucine, phenylalanine-tyrosine (combined), threonine and valine, with values for and SE(CV) (g/kg) of 0.89 and 0.9, 0.94 and 1.3, 0.91 and 0.5, 0.95 and 0.9, 0.91 and 0.5, 0.93 and 0.5. Intermediate values, appropriate for ranking purposes, were obtained for ME, histidine, lysine and methionine-cysteine. Tryptophan, minerals or linoleic acid were not acceptably predicted, irrespective of the mathematical treatment applied. It is concluded that NIR can be successfully used to predict important nutritional characteristics of commercial dog foods.  相似文献

Growing male Synthetic I (1/2 Finnish Landrace x 1/4 Dorset x 1/4 Rambouillet) lambs were used in two experiments (64 lambs in Exp. 1 and 63 in Exp. 2) to test the hypothesis that dietary CP level (9 or 14% of diet as fed) and(or) clinoptilolite (clino; 0 or 2% of diet) affects growth and tissue mineral concentrations of growing lambs fed supplemental Cu. Lambs were individually fed their respective diets ad libitum and killed after 12 wk (Exp. 1) or 16 wk (Exp. 2) to obtain carcass measurements, organ weights and liver mineral concentrations. In Exp. 1, 20 ppm added Cu (as CuSO4.5H2O) increased mortality and depressed BW gain (P less than .01) and daily feed intake (P less than .05) in the presence or absence of clino and at both levels of CP. Liver Cu concentration was greater (P less than .01) in lambs fed added Cu than in those not fed Cu (408 ppm vs 110 ppm, respectively). Neither CP nor clino affected liver Cu concentration. Clinoptilolite increased daily gain of lambs fed high CP but not low CP (P less than .01). In Exp. 2, clino in the diet had no effect on daily gain or daily feed, but 20 ppm Cu addition depressed daily gain (P less than .01) and gain/feed (P less than .07). Organ weights and levels of trace elements other than Cu in the liver generally were not affected by diet in either experiment. It is concluded that high dietary CP or 2% dietary clino did not protect against toxic signs of Cu when Cu was added to the basal diet (10 ppm Cu) at 10 or 20 ppm.  相似文献

A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of various concentrations of metabolizable energy (ME) with graded incremental levels of crude protein (CP) and essential amino acids (lysine and methionine) on production performance, egg quality and humoral immune response of Dahlem Red laying hens. Four experimental diets based on maize–soybean meal-deoiled rice bran were prepared. Diet 1 was fed as a control diet containing 2,600 kcal ME/kg, 15% CP, 0.75% Lys and 0.36% Met, and in the other three diets (D2, D3 and D4), concentrations of the above nutrients were increased by 2.5%, 5.0% and 7.5%, respectively. The levels of Ca (3.5%) and available P (0.32) were constant in all the diets. Each diet was offered ad libitum from 28 to 40 weeks of age to eight replicates containing six birds in each replicate. The egg production, egg weight and egg mass (in grams of egg per hen per day) were not affected by increasing the nutrient density up to 7.5% (2,795 kcal ME/kg diet) compared to the control group (2,600 ME/kg diet). However, feed consumption and feed efficiency (in grams of egg per gram of feed) were influenced by the variation in the nutrient density of diets. As the nutrient density increased by 5% (2,730 ME/kg diet), birds consumed significantly (P < 0.001) less feed. The birds in the 7.5% higher density group produced significantly (P < 0.05) higher egg mass per unit feed consumption compared to the control diet. Increasing nutrient density up to 7.5% had no effect on relative weight of albumen, yolk or shell. The Haugh unit, yolk colour and shell thickness were also not affected due to variation in the nutrient density. The humoral immune response measured at 34 and 40 weeks was progressively improved by increasing the nutrient density up to 5%. Increasing the nutrient density beyond 5% in the diet had no further influence on the humoral immune response. Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that Dahlem Red laying hens required 2,795 kcal/kg ME, 16% CP, 0.8% lysine and 0.4% methionine for eliciting optimum performance and immune response during 28 to 40 weeks of age.  相似文献

Two experiments were conducted using corn from clean or aflatoxin B1 (AFB1)-contaminated (182 ppb) sources. Weanling pigs (28 d) were fed one of eight dietary treatments arranged in a 2 x 2 x 2 factorial design. In Exp. 1 (192 pigs), treatments varied in corn source (clean or AFB1-contaminated), CP level (18 or 20%) and added fat (0 or 5%). At the end of the 28-d growth trials, plasma samples were obtained. An AFB1 x CP level interaction was detected (P less than .05) for growth rate (ADG), feed intake (FI) and feed/gain ratio (F/G). Feeding AFB1 reduced (P less than .05) ADG (.30 vs .37 kg/d) and FI (.57 vs .66 kg/d) and increased F/G (1.88 vs 1.78) of pigs fed 18% CP diets. Performance of pigs fed 20% CP diets was not altered by AFB1. Adding 5% fat to diets improved (P less than .05) F/G but did not improve ADG of pigs fed AFB1. There was an AFB1 x CP x fat interaction (P less than .05) for plasma cholesterol. Adding fat or increasing the CP level prevented the depression of plasma cholesterol in pigs fed AFB1. In Exp. 2 (96 pigs), all diets contained 18% CP and the treatments varied in corn source (clean or AFB1-contaminated), added L-lysine HCl (0 or .25%) and added DL-methionine (0 or .15%). Net portal absorption of AA during the 6-h postprandial period was measured in eight gilts (48.5 +/- 1.6 kg BW) in a crossover design. The pigs had chronic catheters placed in the portal vein, carotid artery, and ileal vein, and were trained to consume 1.2 kg of a standard grower diet once daily. Blood samples were taken every 30 min for 4 h and then hourly until 6 h after feeding. The first set of blood samples was taken after pigs were fed a meal of the test 16% CP corn-soybean meal diet (16% CP) or the test 12% CP corn-soybean meal diet supplemented with crystalline lysine, threonine, and tryptophan (12% CP + AA) to equal the three AA levels in the 16% CP diet. Pigs were then fed the standard diet for 2 d. Following that, blood samples were again taken after the pigs were fed a meal of the test diet that was not given to them at the first sampling period. Net portal AA absorption was calculated by multiplying porto-arterial plasma AA concentration difference by portal vein plasma flow rate (PVPF), estimated by an indicator-dilution technique employing p-aminohippuric acid as the indicator infused into the ileal vein. Plasma concentrations of lysine and threonine of pigs were affected by the diet x time interaction (P < 0.01). Portal and arterial plasma lysine and threonine concentrations in pigs attained the maximal level by 1 h postprandial when the 12% CP + AA diet was fed, but reached the peak level at 2.5 h postprandial when the 16% CP diet was given. The PVPF of pigs over the 6 h postprandial was less (P < 0.01) when the 12% CP + AA diet was given than when the 16% CP diet was fed. Net portal absorptions of lysine and threonine also were affected (P < 0.05) by time x diet interaction. The peak portal absorption of both lysine and threonine in pigs appeared at 0.5 h postprandial when the 12% CP + AA diet was given, but at 2.5 h postprandial with the feeding of the 16% CP diet. The early appearance of peak portal absorption of lysine and threonine from feeding the 12% CP + AA compared with the 16% CP diet indicates that crystalline lysine and threonine are absorbed more rapidly than protein-bound lysine and threonine in pigs fed once daily.  相似文献

Forty-eight barrows were used in a 2 x 6 factorial arrangement to test a hypothesis that feeding a protein-deficient diet affects subsequent growth response by altering the efficiency of protein utilization. Barrows were individually fed either a 9% crude protein (CP) diet or an 18% CP diet from 20 to 30 kg of body weight (BW) (depletion phase). From 30 to 45 kg BW (realimentation phase), pigs were fed one of six experimental diets with CP levels of 11.8, 13.1, 14.3, 15.6, 18.8, and 21.8%. Four pigs were slaughtered at 20 kg BW to determine initial body composition. Four pigs from each treatment in depletion phase (a total of eight) were slaughtered at 30 kg BW, and all pigs from each treatment in realimentation phase (a total of 36) were slaughtered at 45 kg BW for subsequent compositional analysis. Pigs were bled at 20, 30, and 40 kg BW for blood urea nitrogen (BUN), insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I, and IGF-binding protein (IGFBP) assays. Pigs were given three times the maintenance digestible energy requirement (3 x 120 kcal BW(-0.75) x d(-1)) in three equal meals daily. The feed allowance was adjusted every 3 d. During the depletion phase, pigs fed the 18% CP diet grew faster and more efficiently (P < 0.01) and gained more (P < 0.01) water and protein than did pigs fed the 9% CP diet. Pigs fed the 18% CP diet showed higher (P < 0.01) BUN values, IGF-I concentrations, and IGFBP ratios than pigs fed the 9% CP diet. During the realimentation phase, pigs fed the 9% CP diet during the depletion phase grew faster (P < 0.05), tended to grow more efficiently (P = 0.066), gained more water (P < 0.01), and tended to gain more protein (P = 0.068) than pigs fed the 18% CP diet during the depletion phase. Pigs fed the 9% CP diet during the depletion phase tended (P = 0.069) to have a higher protein requirement during the realimentation phase than pigs fed the 18% CP diet during the depletion phase. When measured at 40 kg BW, pigs fed the 9% CP diet had a lower (P < 0.05) BUN than pigs fed the 18% CP diet during the depletion phase. However, the plasma IGF-I concentration and IGFBP ratio at 40 kg BW were not affected by dietary CP level fed during the depletion phase. This study indicates that pigs fed a protein-deficient diet exhibit compensatory growth. During the period of compensatory growth, the requirement of CP for those pigs is higher than that of pigs previously fed an adequate diet. This study also suggests BUN can be used as an indicator of protein utilization efficiency and compensatory growth.  相似文献

试验旨在研究低蛋白质饲粮添加植酸酶和非淀粉多糖(NSP)酶对生长猪生长性能、养分排泄量的影响。54头平均初始体重为(41.92±2.6)kg的杜长大三元杂交猪分为3组,每组3个重复,每个重复6头猪。1组为对照组(饲粮粗蛋白质水平为17.4%),2、3组为试验组,2组在1组基础上,饲粮粗蛋白质水平降至14.3%、总磷水平降低0.1个百分点,添加植酸酶;3组在2组基础上添加NSP酶,试验期38 d。试验结果表明,2组的平均日增重、料重比比1组分别提高7.64%和1.94%(P0.05),其余各组间差异不显著(P0.05);粪N浓度2、3组比1组分别降低18.58%、23.01%(P0.05);粪P浓度2、3组比1组分别降低40.23%、39.08%(P0.01)。由此可见,将常规饲粮粗蛋白质水平降低3个百分点、总磷水平降低0.1个百分点,并添加植酸酶,能显著提高生长猪平均日增重,显著减少粪氮含量,极显著减少粪磷含量;在此基础上,继续添加NSP酶不影响生长猪生长性能和粪中养分含量。  相似文献

Eastern gamagrass (Tripsacum dactyloides [L.] L.) has attracted attention as a forage crop, but information on its use is lacking. This 2-yr study compared diet quality, ingestive mastication, and ADG by steers grazing eastern gamagrass (GG), flaccidgrass (Pennisetum flaccidum Griseb.), and Tifton 44 bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon [L.] Pers.). The design was a randomized complete block with two agronomic replicates. The diet selected by steers from GG in May did not differ from the diet selected by steers from flaccidgrass (FG) for IVDMD (77.3%), NDF (44.0%), CP (19.5%), and mean and median particle sizes of the ingesta (1.8 and 1.4 mm). In July, GG diets had three percentage units less IVDMD (P less than .05), 8.4 percentage units more NDF (P less than .05), and 4.5 percentage units less CP (P = .07) than the mean of FG and bermudagrass (BG). The canopy (July) of GG had the greatest proportion of its DM as leaf (59 vs 26% for FG and 22% for BG) and the least proportion as stem (25 vs 40% for FG and 59% for BG). Mean particle size (millimeters) of masticates differed (P = .05) among forages with GG greatest (2.2), followed by FG (1.6), and BG particles were smallest (1.2). Proportion of large (greater than or equal to 2.8 mm), medium (less than 2.8 greater than or equal to .5 mm), and small (less than .5 mm) particles of the masticate DM, and their IVDMD and NDF concentration, interacted with species (P less than .05). Gamagrass masticate had the greatest proportion (28%) of large particles and BG the greatest proportion (23%) of small particles. The least IVDMD occurred for large particles of BG (62.5%) and small particles of GG (63.8%). Digesta kinetics did not differ among species. Characteristics of GG yielded steer ADG of .82 vs .67 kg for FG and .30 kg for BG (P = .05).  相似文献

本试验在四种畜禽微量元素饲料添加剂生产过程中,添加经处理后的同质的磷酸氢钙,其添加量分别为0.5%、0.5%、2.5%、5.0%,添加后,各添加剂含磷分别约为:800、800、4000、8000ppm,与添加剂中铜、铁、锌含量处于相近或相差较大的两种水平。本方法是应用721型分光光度计,采用“磷-钒-钼酸铵”比色法测定磷,根据含磷量的变异系数来确定添加剂的均匀度,其方法简介如下:用正确的采样方法,对每个品种采集试样十个,每样50克,并在实验室中按规定方法进行样品制备。然后精称各制备后试样0.5克左右,放于100ml烧杆中,用1:1HCl20ml和浓HNO_30.5ml、煮沸3~5分钟,经反复过滤,收集所有滤液于100ml容量瓶中,冷却至室温,再定容,摇匀,即成试样分解液。精取分解液2~40ml于50ml容量瓶中,加入10ml钒钼酸铵显色剂,定容后摇匀,静放10分钟以上,在420nm波长下,用10mm比色池,用721型分光光度计进行测定光密度,并对照标准曲线,计算含磷量和添加剂均匀度的变异系数。另应用原子吸收光度计,测出添加剂的铜、铁、锌含量,并计算它们的变异系数(均匀度)。本实验方法的结果表明:无论含磷量与?  相似文献
