In this study, various parameters affecting the ability of bovine neutrophils to ingest and kill a virulent strain of Pasteurella haemolytica A1 in vitro were examined. Ingestion of P. haemolytica was serum dependent (optimal serum concentration 10%) and was mediated principally by heat-stable opsonins, presumably antibodies, that could be removed by absorption with formalin-killed P. haemolytica. Ingested P. haemolytica were killed by neutrophils within 1-4 h incubation; the magnitude of killing being directly dependent on the number of neutrophils present. The number of viable P. haemolytica was reduced by approximately 1.5 log at bacterial concentrations of 0.01-100 P. haemolytica per neutrophil; a concomitant reduction in neutrophil viability was observed at the highest bacterial concentration (100:1). Bovine neutrophils underwent a vigorous luminol-enhanced chemiluminescence response after ingesting opsonized P. haemolytica, thus indicating that reactive oxygen intermediates were being formed that could have contributed to the intracellular killing of P. haemolytica.  相似文献

In two trials, 60 male commercial broilers were placed in each of eight environmentally controlled chambers receiving 0, 25, 50, or 75 ppm aerial ammonia from 1 to 28 days. Birds exposed to 25 ppm (lower concentration) ammonia gas developed ocular abnormalities but at a slower rate when compared with birds exposed to 50 and 75 ppm (higher concentrations). Birds exposed to higher concentrations also developed more severe lesions. With little atmospheric ammonia present after 28 days of the grow-out stage, the corneas indicated signs of healing. Lymphocytes and heterophils were seen in the iris at 49 days in ammonia-exposed birds even when ammonia exposure was terminated at 28 days. The lower ammonia concentrations resulted in abnormalities that were slight when compared with those seen at the higher ammonia concentrations. As measured by the incidence of inflammatory infiltrates in the trachea, lung, and air sacs, respiratory tract tissues did not appear to be affected by any tested level of aerial ammonia. The findings in this investigation represent the first report indicating that ammonia-induced uveitis in chickens clears rapidly after exposure to ammonia ceases.  相似文献

Effects of recombinant bovine granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (rboGM-CSF) on bactericidal activity of bovine peripheral blood neutrophils in vitro and in vivo were studied. In in vitro experiment, bovine blood neutrophils were cultured for 9 hr in media containing 0.005, 0.05 or 0.5 microg/ml of rboGM-CSF. Neutrophils treated with rboGM-CSF showed significantly higher luminol-dependent chemiluminescence (LDCL) than control cells. In in vivo experiment, neutrophils isolated from cows injected 5.0 microg/kg of rboGM-CSF showed significantly higher Nitrobluetetrazolium (NBT) reduction value than that from control cows 24 hr post injection. Total leukocyte counts of cows injected rboGM-CSF sharply decreased 6 hr post injection and recovered to normal level 2 days post injection. Body temperature of these cows rose 6 hr post injection and back to normal level at 24 hr post injection. It was suggested that rboGM-CSF enhanced bactericidal activity of bovine neutrophils both in vitro and in vivo.  相似文献

The effects of atmospheric ammonia (NH3) on the nasal and tracheal mucosa of pigs were investigated by morphometric and functional methods. Pigs were exposed to four concentrations of NH3 [5 (control), 25, 50 and 100 ppm] for 6 days in a specially designed air-pollutant exposure chamber. Samples were taken from the turbinates and the trachea, and the respiratory mucosa was examined by light and scanning electron microscopy. Dose-response curves to carbachol and isoproterenol were constructed using isolated strips of tracheal smooth muscle, with or without epithelium. In pigs exposed to ammonia, considerable mucosal injuries were observed in the turbinates but not in the trachea. The number of neutrophils in the epithelial layer and in the lamina propria, and epithelial hyperplasia were closely and significantly correlated with the concentrations of ammonia (r=0.894, p<0.001; r=0.727, p<0.001; and r=0.818, p<0.001, respectively). Except for the lamina propria, all these changes were significant (p<0.05) at ammonia concentrations as low as 25 ppm. The percentage of the surface of the turbinate mucosa that was ciliated tended to decrease with increasing ammonia concentration (r=0.439, p<0.082). Ammonia induced smooth-muscle hyperresponsiveness to carbachol with a close linear correlation between individual values of the carbachol-induced maximal effect and the NH3 concentrations (r=0.526, p<0.003). While mechanical destruction of the epithelium induced an increase in E max in the control group, no difference was observed between the intact and denuded strips from animals exposed to ammonia. The response to isoproterenol was not influenced by ammonia. It was concluded that quantitative histological analysis of the inflammatory infiltration and epithelial hyperplasia in the turbinates is a useful tool for quantifying the effects of atmospheric pollutants in pigs; a 6-day exposure to ammonia induces nasal irritation and functional disturbances of the tracheal smooth-muscle contractions at concentrations as low as 25 ppm.Abbreviations E max maximal effect - IM intramuscularly - IV intravenously - NAL nasal lavage - pD 2 negative logarithm of the molar concentration of agonist which induces an increase in tension equivalent to 50% of the maximal effect E max expressed as grams force per mg of dry weight - r correlation coefficient  相似文献

Three experiments were conducted to study the influence of level and type of L-carnitine (LC) on performance and rumiasl and plasma metabolites of weanling calves and finishing lambs. Weanling calves (84) grazing dormant dallisgrass-bermudagrass forage were fed a 20% CP supplement to provide 0, 0.5, 1, or 2 g of ruminally unprotected (RUP) LC per calf daily in Exp. 1. There was a linear increase (P=0.01) and cubic response (P=0.03) to RUP LC in growth rate and quadratic changes (P=0.01) in plasma ammonia N (PAN) and plasma urea N (PUN). In Exp. 2, 32 lambs were individually fed 14% CP diets containing 0, 50, 100, or 200 ppm RUP LC or ruminally protected (RP) LC in a 2 × 4 arrangement of treatments. Lambs gained BW faster (P=0.03) and more efficiently (P=0.07) as the LC level increased to 100 ppm and then declined at 200 ppm (quadratic response). Longissimus area decreased (P=0.03), and fat cover tended (P=0.15) to decline, at 50 and 100 ppm LC and increased at 200 ppm (linear and quadratic response). Ruminal ammonia N levels were reduced at 50 ppm LC but increased at greater LC levels (linear, quadratic, and cubic response, P=0.02). Plasma carnitine concentrations increased (P=0.01) as the dietary level of LC increased. Protected LC was more effective than RUP LC in increasing growth rate (P=0.06) and reducing PAN (P=0.1). In Exp. 3, 16 wether and 16 ewe lambs were individually fed corn-based or soybean hull-based diets with 0 or 100 ppm RP LC in a 2 × 2 arrangement of treatments. Lambs fed RP LC gained BW faster and more efficiently (P=0.04) than lambs that were not fed LC. Lambs fed corn-based and soybean hull-based diets responded similarly to RP LC; however, performance was greater (P=0.03) for lambs fed the corn-based diet. Gender of lambs did not influence the response to diet or RP LC. Supplementing the diet with 100 ppm RP LC reduced (P=0.01) ruminal pH and ammonia N. Plasma carnitine concentrations were increased (P=0.01), and PAN was decreased (P=0.04) by feeding 100 ppm RP LC. Ruminnaly unprotected and RP LC were effective in improving growth rate in ruminants; the latter appeared to be more effective in finishing lambs. L-carnitine reduced ruminal ammonia N and plasma glucose and, in some cases, PAN and PUN.  相似文献

We evaluated the immunotoxicity of deoxynivalenol (DON), a Fusarium mycotoxin, on bovine and porcine neutrophils in vitro by using two function parameters, luminol-dependent chemiluminescence and random migration under agarose. A 2-hr DON treatment suppressed the chemiluminescence of bovine and porcine cells by 42% and 35% (on average) at 10(-5)M, and by 19% and 26% at 10(-6)M. Slight suppression was observed at concentrations lower than 10(-6)M. However, after an 18-hr DON treatment, random migration of neutrophils of both species remained unaffected, even at the highest concentration (10(-5)M). Although further extensive studies are needed, to our knowledge this is the first study to have revealed in vitro that DON can affect neutrophil function.  相似文献

In this study we examined the direct effects of bovine herpesvirus-1 on the interaction of bovine blood neutrophils with Pasteurella haemolytica A1. Preincubation of neutrophils for approximately 2 h in vitro with BHV-1 at a multiplicity of infection of 5:1 had no effect on neutrophil random migration and directed migration to zymosan-activated bovine serum. Neutrophils also were unimpaired in their ability to ingest and kill P. haemolytica A1. Preincubation of neutrophils with BHV-1 did not elicit an oxidative burst, as measured by luminol-enhanced chemiluminescence, nor did it alter neutrophil chemiluminescence in response to opsonized P. haemolytica A1. Prolonged preincubation with BHV-1 for 18-24 h similarly did not affect neutrophil chemiluminescence in response to opsonized P. haemolytica A1. The susceptibility of neutrophils to the lethal effects of crude P. haemolytica cytotoxin also was unaltered by preincubation with BHV-1. We observed no evidence of BHV-1 replication in bovine neutrophils as determined by indirect immunofluorescence and electron microscopy. Previous reports have indicated that active BHV-1 infection alters certain neutrophil functions and results in hypersusceptibility to pulmonary pasteurellosis. Our results suggest that these effects are unlikely to be mediated directly by BHV-1, but instead may reflect the action of endogenous mediators that are released during active BHV-1 infection.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To establish 2 vaccine-associated feline sarcoma (VAFS) cell lines and to determine their in vitro sensitivity to the chemotherapeutic agents doxorubicin and mitoxantrone. SAMPLE POPULATION: Tumor specimens collected from 2 cats undergoing surgery for removal of vaccine-associated sarcomas. PROCEDURES: Tumor specimens were minced and treated with trypsin under aseptic conditions to obtain single-cell suspensions, which were then cultured in vitro in medium supplemented with 5% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum. Growth rates and sensitivity after 24 hours of exposure to various concentrations (0.1 to 100 microg/ml) of doxorubicin and mitoxantrone were assessed for each cell line. Survival of cells was estimated 3 days after exposure to the 2 agents, and the concentration of each drug that resulted in a 50% reduction in the number of viable cells (IC50) was calculated. RESULTS: Two tumor-derived cell lines (FSA and FSB) were successfully established and determined to be sensitive to doxorubicin and mitoxantrone. Under the conditions tested, the IC50 of doxorubicin were 0.6 and 1.5 microg/ml for cell lines FSB and FSA, respectively. The IC50 of mitoxantrone was 0.4 microg/ml for both cell lines. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: The establishment of VAFS cell lines provides a tool for the in vitro screening of antitumor drugs. Doxorubicin and mitoxantrone were effective in decreasing the number of viable cells in the 2 cell lines tested. Both of these anthracycline antibiotics have been used to treat various neoplasias in cats, and their efficacy for adjuvant treatment of vaccine-associated sarcomas should be further evaluated.  相似文献

Changes in the number, maturity and function of neutrophils, concomitant changes in plasma concentrations of hormones and metabolites, and the increased susceptibility of cows to infectious diseases around parturition, led us to investigate the effect of beta-hydroxybutyric acid (BHBA), acetoacetic acid (AcAc), hydrocortisone-21-acetate (HCAc) and bovine pregnancy-associated glycoprotein (bPAG) on the proliferation of bovine bone marrow progenitor cells in methylcellulose in vitro cultures. Myeloid progenitors were stimulated with concanavalin A-stimulated leukocyte conditioned medium (LCM) and erythroid progenitors with erythropoietin in the presence of hemin. Erythroid and myeloid colonies were scored after five and seven days, respectively. BHBA and AcAc induced inhibitory effects on the proliferation of bovine bone marrow cells at concentrations of 1.0, 2.5, and 5.0 mM. HCAc significantly inhibited growth of progenitors at concentrations of 10, 20, 50, and 100 ng/ml, and bPAG at concentrations of 2400 and 3000 ng/ml. The results of this study suggest that in the cow high concentrations of BHBA, AcAc, HCAc and bPAG, which can be reached in the circulation around calving, could alter the number of circulating neutrophils after parturition. This phenomenon might contribute to the increased susceptibility of dairy cows to environmental mastitis.  相似文献

Ovine, caprine and bovine endothelial cells were grown in vitro and challenged with Clostridium perfringens type D epsilon toxin to compare their susceptibility to this toxin. Madin Darby canine kidney (MDCK) cells, which are known to be susceptible to epsilon toxin, were used as a positive control. No morphological alterations were observed in any of the endothelial cell cultures tested, even after challenging with doses as high as 1200 MLD50/ml of epsilon toxin. MDCK cells showed contour rounding and nuclear condensation as early as 30 min after exposure to 100 MLD50/ml of epsilon toxin and after 60 min of exposure to 12.5 MLD50/ml of the same toxin. All the MDCK cells were dead after 3 h of exposure to all concentrations of epsilon toxin. The results indicate that ovine, caprine and bovine endothelial cells are not morphologically responsive to the action of epsilon toxin in vitro.  相似文献

The objective of the experimental study was to examine whether aerial ammonia alone could predispose the respiratory system of pigs to infection with toxigenic Pasteurella multocida type A. Two groups of 5 pigs each were continuously exposed to 50 ppm ammonia and less than 5 ppm ammonia, respectively, for a 59-day period (from 37 kg to 90 kg bodyweight) followed by necropsy. In an aerosol chamber all pigs were exposed to an aerosol of toxigenic P. multocida type A (mean bacterial concentration in the aerosol-exposure chamber: 10(5) colony forming units/m3; exposure period: 25 min) at day 10, 21, 35 and 49 after the onset of ammonia exposure. During the experiment none of the pigs showed clinical signs of pneumonia nor did they develop visible distortion of the snout. None of the pigs had gross lesions in the lungs at necropsy and toxigenic P. multocida was not detected by culture from the lungs from any of the pigs. The chance of recovering toxigenic P. multocida from nasal swabs (collected during experiment) was 2-4 times greater in the test group compared to the control group. The average daily weight gain was lower for the ammonia exposed pigs compared to the control group. In conclusion the results from this study suggest that ammonia in concentrations of 50 ppm is unlikely to predispose growing pigs to pulmonary infection with toxigenic P. multocida.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To develop an in vitro model of the bovine alveolar-capillary interface and to evaluate the roles of interleukin-8 (IL-8) and platelet-activating factor (PAF) in neutrophil-mediated endothelial injury induced by infection with Mannheimia haemolytica. SAMPLE POPULATION: Cultured bovine pulmonary microvascular endothelial cells, freshly isolated bovine neutrophils, and monocyte-derived bovine macrophages. PROCEDURE: A coculture system was developed in which endothelial cells were grown to confluence in tissue culture inserts, neutrophils were added to the inserts, and macrophages were added to tissue culture wells. Mannheimia haemolytica-derived lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or supernatant was added to activate macrophages, and inhibitors of PAF or IL-8 were added to the insert. Endothelial cell cytotoxicity and permeability (ie, albumin leakage) and neutrophil activation (ie, adhesion, degranulation [lactoferrin expression], and superoxide production) were assessed. RESULTS: The addition of M haemolytica-derived LPS to bovine macrophages in the coculture system resulted in significant increases in endothelial cell cytotoxicity and permeability and neutrophil degranulation and adhesion. Inhibition of IL-8 reduced endothelial cell permeability and neutrophil degranulation induced by exposure to M haemolytica-derived supernatant, whereas inhibition of PAF decreased superoxide release by neutrophils. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: In vitro activation of bovine macrophages by M haemolytica-derived LPS resulted in neutrophil activation and neutrophil-mediated endothelial damage. Neutrophil-mediated endothelial injury and neutrophil degranulation were, at least in part, mediated by IL8, whereas PAF promoted superoxide release by neutrophils in this in vitro system designed to mimic the in vivo events that occur during the early stages of bovine pneumonic pasteurellosis.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to examine whether high concentrations of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and/or insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) would have a beneficial effect on bovine embryo development in vitro and to obtain normal calves by using an ovum pick up method and embryo culture in a chemically defined medium. When compared with controls, EGF (100 or 200 ng/ml) or IGF-I (50 or 100 ng/ml) significantly increased the rate of embryos that developed into blastocysts during an 8-day culture after the in vitro fertilization of oocytes obtained from ovaries from a slaughterhouse. IGF-I induced a dose-dependent increase in cell number in both the inner cell mass and the trophectoderm, whereas EGF stimulated proliferation only in the inner cell mass. A combination of EGF (100 ng/ml) and IGF-I (50 ng/ml) produced an additive effect, and embryos developed into blastocysts at a comparatively high rate (27.9%) compared with controls (12.0%). A similar rate of development was achieved using a combination of EGF and IGF-I in the culture of embryos following ovum pick up by ultrasound-guided transvaginal follicular aspiration and in vitro fertilization, and 5 blastocysts that developed after the culture were transferred into uteri; two embryos implanted, and normal calves were born. These results suggest that the combined use of EGF and IGF-I makes bovine embryo culture in a chemically defined medium a practical and useful procedure for producing blastocysts, and its application to embryo culture following ovum pick up and in vitro fertilization could be useful for producing normal calves.  相似文献

Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) solutions were evaluated for their virucidal ability against a low pathogenic avian influenza virus (AIV), H7N1. HOCl solutions containing 50, 100 and 200 ppm chlorine (pH 6) or their sprayed solutions (harvested in dishes placed at 1 or 30 cm distance between the spray nozzle and dish) were mixed with the virus with or without organic materials (5% fetal bovine serum: FBS). Under plain diluent conditions (without FBS), harvested solutions of HOCl after spraying could decrease the AIV titer by more than 1,000 times, to an undetectable level (< 2.5 log10TCID50/ml) within 5 sec, with the exception of the 50 ppm solution harvested after spraying at the distance of 30 cm. Under the dirty conditions (in the presence of 5% FBS), they lost their virucidal activity. When HOCl solutions were sprayed directly on the virus on rayon sheets for 10 sec, the solutions of 100 and 200 ppm could inactivate AIV immediately after spraying, while 50 ppm solution required at least 3 min of contact time. In the indirect spray form, after 10 sec of spraying, the lids of the dishes were opened to expose the virus on rayon sheets to HOCl. In this form, the 200 ppm solution inactivated AIV within 10 min of contact, while 50 and 100 ppm could not inactivate it. These data suggest that HOCl can be used in spray form to inactivate AIV at the farm level.  相似文献

Serial blood samples were collected and plasma concentrations of florfenicol (FLO) were measured following the administration of an intravenous bolus of 50 mg/kg FLO to five healthy non-lactating dairy cows. A triexponential equation provided the best fit of the data for four of the five cows. The mean value for beta corresponded to a half-life of 3.2 h. The mean apparent volume of distribution was 0.67 l/kg, and the mean body clearance was 0.15 l/kg/h. The extent of binding of FLO to bovine plasma proteins was determined in vitro at concentrations of 5 micrograms/ml and 50 micrograms/ml by equilibrium dialysis and ultrafiltration. The drug was 18% and 19% bound by equilibrium dialysis, and 23% and 19% bound by ultrafiltration, at 5 micrograms/ml and 50 micrograms/ml, respectively. Phagocytosis of 32phosphorus-labelled Staphylococcus aureus by bovine blood neutrophils was compared in vitro between neutrophils incubated in phosphate-buffered saline alone or in combination with 5, 125, or 1000 micrograms/ml chloramphenicol or FLO. There was no significant effect of chloramphenicol at any concentration. Florfenicol significantly inhibited phagocytosis at all concentrations, but the percentage inhibition was small. The clinical significance, if any, of this effect of FLO remains to be demonstrated.  相似文献

To evaluate the role of leukotoxin (LKT) of Mannheimia haemolytica and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of E. coli 055:B5 in pathogenesis of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) we investigated their in vitro effects on cultured bovine neutrophils. Functional parameters of neutrophils including degranulation, generation of superoxide, and nitric oxide were distorted in response to both toxins. The most essential reaction of neutrophils was found in respect to release of elastase after addition of LKT as well as LPS at concentration of 300 microg/ml. Moreover, we observed an increased release of myeloperoxidase (MPO) and alkaline phosphatase (ALK-P) from polymorphonuclear cells (PMN) after addition of LKT and LPS. We also found enhanced superoxide generation by bovine neutrophils after exposure to different concentrations of LKT and LPS. In cultures of PMN treated with LKT, concentration of nitrite increased with growing concentrations of LKT. Lower values of nitrite were obtained in cultures exposed to LPS. Partial lysis of PMN, determined by LDH (lactate dehydrogenase) leakage, started at concentration of 300 microg/ml for both toxins, meanwhile LKT concentration above 300 microg/ml was lethal. Our study has revealed that neutrophils in response to both toxins exaggerate release of analysed substances, which participate in worsening the course of the disease and play a role in lung injury during BRD. Toxins introduced to the cultural medium stimulate release of studied constituents from neutrophils by combined activation and lysis of neutrophils.  相似文献

Effects of recombinant bovine interferon (rBoIFN) gamma on mammary gland neutrophil activity during the periparturient period were studied. Bovine mammary gland neutrophils were isolated and incubated in mammary gland secretions obtained from Holstein-Friesian cattle during the last 2 weeks of gestation. Cell functions were evaluated following treatment with 10 U, 100 U, and 1000 U of rBoIFN-gamma. Bacterial phagocytosis, bactericidal activity and chemiluminescence were significantly lower for neutrophils incubated in mammary gland secretions when compared with control neutrophils incubated in Hank's balanced salt solution. Treatment of mammary neutrophils with rBoIFN-gamma reversed the suppressive effects of mammary secretions resulting in higher chemiluminescent activity and significantly more bacterial phagocytosis and bactericidal activity when compared with untreated controls. Results from these preliminary in vitro data suggest that rBoIFN-gamma therapy may modulate mammary gland neutrophil functions in vivo and possibly facilitate the rapid clearance of mastitis-causing pathogens mammary glands during the periparturient period.  相似文献

1. The natural history of air hygiene in a pullet house was assessed at three-weekly intervals using a combination of in vitro and in vivo assays. The performance of an internal air filter was also examined as an experimental technique for providing clean air. 2. Overall, air hygiene was poor by comparison with occupational standards for human health. The mass concentrations of respirable and inspirable dust were 1.4 and 11.3 mg/m3 compared to human exposure limits of 5 and 10 mg/m3 respectively. The concentration of ammonia was typically about 20 ppm. 3. The majority (greater than 99%) of airborne particles were non-viable. Commensal bacteria from the skin were the most numerous airborne bacteria. Scopulariopsis and Aspergillus spp. were the most prevalent fungi recovered from the air and bird's lungs respectively. The concentrations of airborne and lung fungi were positively correlated with ammonia concentrations. 4. The differences between in vivo and in vitro assays of airborne microorganisms suggest that an aerosol sampler should be devised which better mimics the physical and biochemical environment of the respiratory tract.  相似文献

Seven miniature pigs were injected intravenously with deoxynivalenol (DON) at 1 mg/kg body weight; afterward, the number of leukocytes in peripheral blood, the luminol-dependent chemiluminescence of neutrophils, the serum or plasma concentration of cytokines and acute-phase proteins were evaluated to determine the effects of acute exposure to DON on inflammatory responses. White blood cell counts were transiently increased at 3, 6, and 12 hr post-injection (PI) due to the increased number of neutrophils. The luminol-dependent chemiluminescence value of neutrophils was significantly elevated at 24 hr PI, indicating the activation of the bactericidal function of neutrophils. Significant increases of interleukin (IL)-8 and tumor necrosis factor-α at 3 hr PI and IL-6 at 6 hr PI were detected in the serum. The concentration of haptoglobin and serum amyloid A was significantly increased at 24 hr PI. These results suggest that acute exposure to DON induced a temporary recruitment of neutrophils in the peripheral blood by IL-8 and subsequent activation of the bactericidal function, and a transient increase of proinflammatory cytokines and acute-phase proteins, indicating the immunomodulatory effects of DON in pigs.  相似文献

The in vitro effects of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), indomethacin, histamine, and tuftsin on the chemiluminescence response of bovine polymorphonuclear cells (PMN) were determined. Addition of PGE1, PGE2, indomethacin, and histamine in vitro significantly suppressed the chemiluminescence response of bovine PMN's, whereas tuftsin had no effect. Suppression was dependent upon the continued presence of PGE1, PGE2, and histamine in the culture media. However, indomethacin's suppressive effect remained even after it was removed from the culture media. Hydrogen peroxide generated chemiluminescence was suppressed by high concentrations of indomethacin and histamine. Results of this study suggest possible pharmacologic or regulatory mechanisms for certain of these immune modulators in the control of the oxidative burst reaction of bovine PMN's.  相似文献
