300只15日龄商品肉仔鸡随机分为常温组、低温组和维拉帕米组,以研究L型电压依赖性钙通道拮抗剂维拉帕米对腹水综合征病鸡右心功能的影响。结果,与低温组相比,维拉帕米可显著降低肉鸡腹水综合征的发生率;维拉帕米组肉鸡腹水心脏指数分别在29、36、43和50日龄时显著或极显著降低;右心室收缩压在36和43日龄时极显著降低,右心室舒张压在36和43日龄时也显著或极显著下降;右心室内压最大变化速率在43日龄时极显著升高。结果表明,维拉帕米可显著降低肉鸡腹水和右心肥大的发生,能有效维护右心功能。  相似文献

150只15日龄AA肉鸡随机分为常温组、低温组和卡托普利组,探讨卡托普利对腹水综合征肉鸡右心功能的影响。结果:卡托普利降低低温诱发肉鸡腹水的发生率;卡托普利降低低温诱发肉鸡肺动脉高压;卡托普利与低温组比降低肉鸡腹水心脏指数;28、36日龄和44日龄,卡托普利组右心室收缩压低于低温组(P0.05);28、36日龄和44日龄,卡托普利组右心室舒张压分别极低于低温组((P0.01)。本试验证明卡托普利可以降低腹水发生率和右心肥大,有效维护右心功能。  相似文献

肉鸡的腹水综合征(AS)是普遍发生于商品代肉仔鸡群的一种疾病。其特征是右心肥大、肝脏肿大及明显的腹腔积水。Andrew等(1989)和Juian等(1993)根据肉鸡腹水综合征发病的病理变化和长期研究结果,提出肉鸡肺动脉高压假说即发病因子→缺氧→肺动脉高压→右心肥大→右心室衰竭→肝脏瘀血→腹水和死亡。其中肺动脉高压和右心肥大成为发病的关键环节。  相似文献

本试验旨在探讨钙离子内流阻滞剂维拉帕米(verapamile)对腹水综合征肉鸡右心功能的影响。结果显示,维拉帕米使低温诱发的肉鸡腹水症发生率以及肉鸡腹水心脏指数降低。与低温对照组相比,维拉帕米组28日龄鸡右心室收缩压显著降低(P〈0.05),36、44日龄鸡右心室收缩压有所降低(P〉0.05),而28和36日龄鸡右心室舒张压显著降低(P〈0.01)。  相似文献

An 8-month-old Labrador retriever bitch was evaluated for sudden-onset, progressive abdominal distension. Physical examination revealed an exaggerated inspiratory effort, severe ascites, bilateral jugular vein distension, and hypokinetic femoral arterial pulses. Thoracic auscultation detected tachycardia with muffled heart sounds, without audible cardiac murmurs. Thoracic radiographs identified severe right ventricular enlargement and pleural effusion. The electrocardiogram was consistent with incomplete right bundle branch block or right ventricular enlargement. Echocardiography demonstrated severe right ventricular and atrial dilation, secondary tricuspid regurgitation, and thinning and hypocontractility of the right ventricular myocardium. Left heart chamber sizes were slightly decreased, with normal left ventricular contractility. A diagnosis of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy was reached, based on the characteristic clinical, electrocardiographic, radiographic and echocardiographic findings, and the exclusion of other causes of isolated right ventricular failure. Treatment effected good control of clinical signs, until acutely decompensated congestive right heart failure led to euthanasia after 4 months. Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy is a well-described clinical entity in humans, and has previously been documented in 3 male dogs. The condition is characterised by progressive fibro-adipose replacement of right ventricular myocardium, while the left ventricle usually remains unaffected. It should be considered a differential diagnosis in any young dog presented with isolated right heart failure, syncope, or unexplained ventricular tachyarrhythmias. This article reports the 1st case of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy in a female dog, and highlights its echocardiographic features.  相似文献

In humans, and certain animals, the atrioventricular conduction system is capable of bidirectional conduction. Depolarization impulses, originating in the ventricle itself, may thus be conducted in a retrograde direction towards the atria. Two common causes for this phenomenon of ventriculo-atrial (retrograde) conduction are premature ventricular complexes and ventricular pacing. The surface electrocardiogram can be used for the detection of such retrogradely conducted beats. The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of ventriculo-atrial conduction in Dorper sheep. Premature ventricular complexes in eight healthy Dorper wethers were induced and it was possible to document retrogradely conducted beats on the surface electrocardiogram in all of them. It is concluded that the Dorper sheep heart is capable of ventriculo-atrial conduction.  相似文献

A 5-month-old female Korean Sapsaree dog was presented with severe ascites, cyanosis, respiratory difficulty and exercise intolerance. Diagnostic imaging studies revealed a dextropositioned and over-riding aorta, pulmonary valvular stenosis, ventricular and atrial septal defects, and right ventricular hypertrophy. Based on these findings, the dog was diagnosed as a case of tetralogy of Fallot with atrial septal defect (pentalogy of Fallot). The dog was medically managed by use of diuretics and vasodilators and an occasional phlebotomy.  相似文献

The QRS response of the electrocardiogram to bleeding has been a source of interest to the physiologist for more than a century. Studies in the dog, cat and chicken have shown a reduction in QRS amplitude in response to bleeding. This effect has been explained by the so-called Brody effect, in which the intraventricular mass of blood acts as a conducting medium, augmenting radial conduction, thus resulting in the subsequent reduction in QRS amplitude in conditions where the intraventricular mass of blood is reduced. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether the Brody effect will be present in the ovine heart and, furthermore, to evaluate if the right and left ventricles will demonstrate the same QRS change if the Brody effect is indeed present. This study clearly demonstrated that the Brody effect is present in the ovine heart. Furthermore, two unique aspects emanating from this study are firstly the fact that this is the first study to show that premature ventricular complexes are able to induce the Brody effect and, secondly that there is a very clear difference in the response of the right and the left ventricles when the Brody effect is induced in the ovine heart.  相似文献

Right ventricular hypertrophy and failure is an important step in the development of ascites syndrome (AS) in broiler chickens. Cytoplasmic calcium concentration is a major regulator of cardiac contractile function and various physiological processes in cardiac muscle cells. The purpose of this study was to measure the right ventricular pressure and investigate the precise ultrastructural location of Ca(2+) and Ca(2+)-ATPase in the right ventricular myocardium of chickens with AS induced by low ambient temperature. The results showed that the right ventricular diastolic pressure of ascitic broilers was significantly higher than that of control broilers (P < 0.01), and the maximum change ratio of right intraventricular pressure (RV +/- dp/dt(max)) of ascitic broilers was significantly lower than that of the controls (P < 0.01). Extensively increased calcium deposits were observed in the right ventricular myocardium of ascitic broilers, whereas in the age-matched control broilers, calcium deposits were much less. The Ca(2+)-ATPase reactive products were obviously found on the sarcoplasmic reticulum and mitochondrial membrane of the control right ventricular myocardium, but rarely observed in the ascitic broilers. The data suggest that in ascitic broilers there is the right ventricular diastolic dysfunction, in which the overload of intracellular calcium and the decreased Ca(2+)-ATPase activity might be the important factors.  相似文献

Eggs from a broiler line were incubated at two different altitudes and hatched. Relative heart and lung weights, volumes of the heart, lung and thoracic cavity, incidence of right ventricular hypertrophy and ascites, and related physiological parameters were followed in the day-old chickens hatched from the above eggs. Lung and heart weights as a percentage of body weight, lung and heart volumes relative to the volume of the thoracic cavity after removing the heart and lungs were higher in chickens hatched at high altitude. Additionally, embryonic triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) levels relative to cardiopulmonary parameters were higher in day-old chickens that hatched at high altitude as compared with chickens hatched at low altitude. This was associated with a lower incidence of right ventricular hypertrophy and ascites in chickens hatched at high altitude. Our data indicate that chronic hypoxia interacting with the endogenous functions of embryos during embryonic development at high altitude, as adaptation mechanisms, changed the developmental trajectories of cardiopulmonary parameters in postnatal chickens. This important development facilitates an increase in the gas exchange area in broiler chickens, thus lowering their susceptibility to pulmonary hypertension and ascites.  相似文献

对来自 2次试验的 34 0只 (公鸡 182只 ,母鸡 15 8只 )商品 AA肉鸡 ,分别在 7~ 9、2 1~ 2 3、35~ 37日龄 ;14~ 16、2 8~ 30、42~ 44日龄时心电描记中出现的心律失常的特征进行了研究 ,同时还对肉鸡腹水综合征 (AS)、肉鸡猝死综合征 (SDS)的发生进行了跟踪记录。结果表明 ,(1)肉鸡心律失常在 8日龄时即可发生 ,发生率随日龄增加而增高 ,在 42~ 44日龄时可达 16 .6 7% ,且公鸡较母鸡的发病率高 ;(2 )心律失常在肉鸡中最常见的是室性心律失常和窦房或房室传导阻滞 ;(3) 2次试验中 ,有 11只死于 SDS,死亡率 3.2 3% ;有 14只发展为 AS,发病率为 4.11%。对动态心电描记记录作回顾性分析发现 ,死于 SDS的肉鸡中 ,有 7只生前表现有室性心律失常病史 ;发展为 AS的 ,有 8只生前就有传导阻滞的病史。由此可以推测 ,室性心律失常、传导阻滞分别在 SDS和 AS的病理发生中起重要作用  相似文献

Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) is a disease characterised by infiltration of the myocardium by adipose and fibrous tissue. The disease is an important cause of sudden death in humans, but has rarely been described in animals. This report describes ARVC in two cats with right-sided congestive heart failure. One cat had also experienced previous episodes of syncope. Standard six-lead and 24-hour (Holter) electrocardiogram recording revealed complete atrioventricular block and multiform ventricular ectopics in both cats, with the addition of ventricular tachycardia, ventricular bigeminy and R-on-T phenomenon in one of them. On echocardiography, the right ventricle and atrium were massively dilated and hypokinetic. The survival times of the cats were three days and 16 days following diagnosis. Histopathology in one case revealed fibro-fatty infiltration of the myocardium, predominantly affecting the right ventricular free wall.  相似文献
