The meat and some organs of eight bulls given diet with 5% to 15% supplements of dried pig and poultry excrements for 175 days were subjected to examination for the presence of some foreign substances. The results were compared with samples from eight control bulls, fed the basal diet. Liver was not found to contain any aflatoxins B1 and M1. No statistically significant differences were found in the content of antimicrobial substances. The same can be said of the content of chlorinated pesticides. Residues of organo-phosphorus pesticides were not detected at all. As to chemical elements, the test bulls were found to have a significantly increased content of copper in liver and diaphragm. All the findings of the residues of foreign substances were within limits tolerated by veterinary regulations.  相似文献

The carcasses and meat and fat properties of a group of five bulls fed a basal diet with an addition of 0.80 kg of dried pig excrements for 135 days were compared with a group of five control bulls fed the basal diet. The pre-mortal examination of the clinical state of the animals, the post-mortal veterinary inspection of the meat and internal organs, and the comparison of blood transaminase activity did not reveal any signs of health disorders ascribable to the experimental diet. The organoleptic examination and determination of the basic and some other technological characteristics and other properties of the meat and fat did not show any significant differences in quality to justify a decision by which the meat of the experimental bulls would be treated as less valuable or non-edible.  相似文献

The presence of residues of some chemical foreign substances in the tissues of cow and bull genitals and in sire sperm was investigated due to frequently occurring reproductive disorders in some large cow herds, mainly with the large-scale rearing system. Negative effects of these substances on the reproductive process of cows and bulls were supposed to be exerted. In keeping with the opinions and data mentioned by some authors in the literature there is a fact that the sperm and tissues of genitals belong to those biological materials which are the first to respond to the toxic effects of different chemicals by disorders of their physiological functions. These disorders, mainly in sperm cells, can be evaluated objectively from the recorded changes in physical and biological characteristics. The chemicals under investigation were residues of hexachlorobenzene (HCB), alpha, beta, gamma hexachlorocyclohexane isomers, sigma DDT and its metabolites and of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). The concentrations of the residues of these substances in the examined biological materials were very low, in some cases they were not detected at all. It is therefore supposed that these residues could not exert and significant effects on the physiological functions of examined cows and bulls with respect to their reproductive organs. These examinations should become more extensive and thorough, mainly in the herds and regions exposed to potential contamination; the residues of foreign substances should be investigated in view of ecological conditions. This review aims to highlight the effects of ochratoxin A (OTA) in the feed of meat-producing animals. The accumulation of OTA in feed and its distribution in various farm animals were compared and evaluated. Primarily, the oral administration of OTA-contaminated feed and the predisposition in an animal''s vital organ were critically examined in this work. The collated reports show that OTA directly associated with endemic nephropathy and its high concentration leads to degeneration of liver cells, and necrosis of intestinal and lymphoid tissues. At present, limited reports are available in the recent literature on the problems and consequences of OTA in feed. Therefore, this review focused on the OTA carryover from feed to farm animals and the interaction of its secondary metabolites on their biochemical parameters. Hence, this report provides greater insights into animal health related to OTA residues in meat and meat products. This article also explores mitigation strategies that can be used to prevent the carryover effects of OTA in livestock feeds and the effects in the food chain.  相似文献

1. The objective of this study was to determine the influence of iodine (I) supplementation of feed, within the range of the European guidelines, on the performance of broiler chickens and I transfer into different organs and tissues, especially meat. The main emphasis was to assess whether broiler meat could be enriched and used as an I source in human nutrition. 2. Two experiments were performed, one with KI and the other with Ca(IO(3))(2). For each experiment, 288 d-old broiler chicks were divided into 4 groups (72 birds/group) and fed on diets with supplementations between 0 and 5 mg I/kg feed. The birds were reared to 35 d of age under standard conditions. Six birds per group were slaughtered at 35 d and samples of blood, thyroid gland, liver, pectoral and thigh meat taken. 3. Iodine treatment did not significantly affect the growth and slaughter performance of the broiler chickens. In all investigated parameters, I concentrations increased significantly with increasing I intake of the animals. The lowest I concentrations were measured in the meat, but they were considerably higher in blood serum, liver and thyroid gland. Since the I content of meat was still low in the highest supplemented group (highest median concentration: 67·8 μg I/kg thigh meat), there is no evidence that this could substantially improve I supply in human nutrition.  相似文献

Fifty-four Holstein bulls were blocked by initial BW (301 +/- 7.4 kg) and randomly assigned to 6 treatments following a 3 x 2 factorial arrangement, with 3 concentrate lipid levels (5, 8, and 11% of DM) and 2 lipid sources (whole canola seed and whole linseed), with the objective of evaluating the possibility of increasing the content of n-3 fatty acids in meat. Concentrates (mostly corn meal) were isonitrogenous and isocaloric. Concentrate and straw were both fed ad libitum. Animal BW was recorded every 2 wk, and feed consumption was recorded weekly. Ruminal pH and VFA concentrations were determined monthly. Bulls were transported to the slaughterhouse when they achieved the target slaughter weight of 443 kg (after 105 +/- 4 d of fattening). After slaughter, a sample of LM from the sixth to the eighth ribs was dissected and analyzed for intramuscular fat content and fatty acid profile. Dietary lipid source did not affect overall animal performance, rumen fermentation, or carcass quality. Rumen pH was >6.0 despite consumption by the bulls of large amounts of concentrate. In bulls fed linseed, the percentage of n-3 fatty acids in LM increased linearly with lipid level, whereas in bulls fed canola seed it remained constant. The ratio of n-6:n-3 fatty acids was lower (P < 0.01) in the LM of bulls fed linseed (10.0) than in those fed canola seed (26.0). The content of cis-9, trans-11-CLA in the LM tended (P = 0.06) to be greater in the bulls fed linseed than in those fed canola seed (62.9 vs. 49.2 mg/kg of LM, respectively). Concentration of n-3 fatty acids in meat of bulls fed high-concentrate diets can be enhanced by whole linseed supplementation without affecting animal performance, ruminal fermentation, or carcass quality.  相似文献

To study the differences in meat yield in hypertrophied cattle, a commercial dissection trial was carried out on 48 carcasses obtained from 24 Piemontese (P: 12 reared with a restricted feeding, P-R, and 12 fed ad libitum, P-L), and 24 Belgian Blue (B: 12 reared with a restricted feeding, BB-R, and 12 fed ad libitum, BB-L) young bulls. The animals were reared under the same environmental condition and slaughtered at the same age and fattening degree. During commercial dissection, the weights of the retail cuts were recorded. Three fore-quarter meat cuts were heavier in P than in BB, while nine meat cuts (two from fore-quarter and seven from hind-quarter), hind-quarter meat and prime quality meat were heavier in BB than in P. Fat weight was higher in BB than in P, whereas meat production as a percentage of carcass side weight was higher in P than in BB. Only one hind-quarter meat cut was heavier in the ad libitum (L) than in the restricted (R) group, whereas meat yield was higher in R than in L. In comparing the meat yield in carcass sides of P-R, P-L, BB-R and BB-L fed young bulls, four meat cuts (one from fore-quarter and three from hind-quarter), hind-quarter, prime quality and 3rd quality meat were heavier in BB-L (P ≤ 0.05), while one shoulder cut and fore-quarter were heavier in P-R group.  相似文献

One hundred and four rabbits, five weeks old at the beginning of the experiment, were divided into four groups according to a feed additive treatment. Rabbits of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th group were fed a basal granulated feed (control), basal feed supplemented with CuSO4.5H2O at 50 mg Cu.kg-1, basal feed supplemented with 150 mg Cu.kg-1, and the latter feed supplemented with 100 mg.kg-1 vitamin E, respectively. The duration of the experiment was 42 days. Addition of Cu at 150 mg.kg-1 increased weight gain non-significantly by 9.1%. This effect was the most pronounced in the first two weeks of fattening. The lowest mortality was observed in rabbits fed the highest amount of additives (7.7% vs. 19.2% in the control). Rabbits were slaughtered at the age of 11 weeks. Neither treatment influenced proportions of saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids in lipids extracted from the loin and hindleg muscles. In rabbits fed the highest amount of copper and vitamin E, the cholesterol concentration was significantly decreased by 13.6% and 17.9% in the loin and hindleg meat, respectively. Effects of Cu added at 50 mg.kg-1 were marginal. Copper had no effect on the oxidative stability of meat, measured as thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances in meat stored at 4 degrees C for 0, 3 and 8 days. Vitamin E added in excess of nutritional requirement improved the oxidative stability of meat. In copper-fed rabbits, Cu accumulated in the liver, but not in muscles. Feeding of the basal feed for 7 days to rabbits previously fed copper sulphate decreased the hepatic Cu concentration by 14.0 to 24.4%.  相似文献

Alkaline phosphatase (APase) activity in tissue samples, with adherent bacteria, was measured from two sites in the rumen and from two sites in the abomasum of 57 yearling Angus and Hereford bulls and heifers fed a high or a low energy diet. In the rumen, APase activity was higher at the caudoventral blind sac than at the dorsal sac in animals of both breeds fed the high energy diet and in Angus bulls fed the low energy diet, but the reverse was observed in Hereford bulls fed the low-energy diet (P less than .01). In the abomasum, APase levels were higher for bulls than heifers (P less than .01) and higher at the fundic than at the pyloric region (P less than .01). Morphological studies also showed that rumen samples from animals fed a high energy diet exhibited a more widely distributed APase activity and an increase in the digestive recycling of epithelial cells that produced some "pitting" of the tissue. The higher APase activity of the epithelial tissue of animals fed the high energy diet may be explained by the greater rate of cell death and renewal indicated by the higher mitotic index reported by other researchers who have studied the cell cycle of the rumen epithelium in ruminants fed high and low energy diets.  相似文献

【目的】试验旨在研究中草药饲料添加剂对延边黄牛不同部位牛肉营养成分、重金属及抗生素残留、风味物质含量的影响。【方法】选用100头健康且体重相近的27月龄延边黄牛,随机分为2组,每组50头。对照组饲喂基础饲粮,试验组在基础饲粮中添加0.2%中草药饲料添加剂。预试期10 d,正试期90 d。试验结束后,每组随机选择10头牛进行屠宰,取胸肉、眼肉、西冷、上脑和里脊5个部位肌肉样,测定牛肉中常规营养成分、剪切力、肉色、氨基酸、脂肪酸、重金属、抗生素、风味物质等指标。【结果】与对照组相比,饲粮中添加中草药饲料添加剂对牛肉常规营养成分粗蛋白质、粗脂肪、粗纤维、钙和磷含量均无显著影响(P>0.05),可以增加牛肉中总氨基酸含量及鲜味氨基酸、甜味氨基酸和苦味氨基酸的总含量,并提高牛肉中棕榈油酸和亚麻酸含量,但差异均不显著(P>0.05);试验组延边黄牛胸肉剪切力显著降低(P<0.05),眼肉和里脊部位的红度值显著提高(P<0.05),西冷、眼肉和胸肉中氮氧化合物和无机硫化物类等芳香化合物的含量均显著降低(P<0.05)。试验组与对照组牛肉中均未检测到重金属和抗生素残留。【...  相似文献

酵素又称农用酶,是酵素菌在维持生命活动过程中分泌的一些酶和活性物质。近年来,兴起了大量关于酵素的研究,在畜禽生产中,饲喂酵素可提高饲料的消化率,降低畜禽消化系统疾病发病率,增强畜禽免疫力,催化分解饲料,提高饲料转化率和利用率,改善肉质,提高产量等,同时,饲喂酵素还可减少畜禽体内兽药残留量,减轻畜禽粪便臭味等。研究将贵州山区常见药用植物:艾叶、鱼腥草、千里光、青蒿,分别制作单品酵素及复合酵素,按照5%的比例与水混匀后给肉鸡直接饮用103天,肉鸡重量和成活率明显提高,肉质更优。同时,由于鸡舍内刺鼻气体明显减少,呼吸道疾病发病率随之降低,有效提高了肉鸡生产性能,为早期肉鸡养殖中减少或不使用抗生素,减少兽药残留提供了参考。  相似文献

本试验研究了日粮中添加紫花苜蓿黄酮类化合物对生长肉兔生产性能、胴体特性、肉质和脂质氧化的影响。试验选择160只42日龄的杂交肉兔,随机分为4组,每组4个重复,每个重复10只肉兔。对照组饲喂基础日粮,处理组在基础日粮中分别添加0.04%、0.08%和0.12%苜蓿黄酮,试验从断奶(42 d)开展到屠宰(102 d),共60 d。试验结束后,每组随机选择12只肉兔(3只/重复),记录其胴体特征,采集血浆、肝脏和最长肌进行脂质氧化试验。结果发现:日粮添加不同水平的苜蓿黄酮对肉兔末重、日采食量、日增重和料重比均无显著影响(P>0.05)。除了0.12%和0.04%苜蓿黄酮组较对照组显著提高了最长肌肉色亮度外(P<0.05),日粮添加不同水平的苜蓿黄酮对屠体分割重量和其他肉质指标的影响均无显著差异(P>0.05)。日粮添加苜蓿黄酮显著影响肌肉的硫代巴比妥酸反应物值,表现为显著降低肌肉丙二醛含量(P<0.05),其中0.12%苜蓿黄酮组肌肉丙二醛含量最低。结论:在本试验条件下,在肉兔日粮中添加苜蓿黄酮可以改善肌肉氧化稳定性,对动物生长性能无负面影响,但对肉色亮度参数有轻微影响。  相似文献

试验旨在研究不同饲养方式对江城牛肉品质的影响,获得江城牛最优肉品质的饲养方式。选取年龄在2.5岁左右、健康状况良好的24头江城牛,其中公牛9头、母牛15头,根据性别随机分成3组,每组8头(公牛3头、母牛5头),第1、2组舍饲,在自由采食全株玉米青贮的基础上,每头牛每天分别补饲肉牛精料补充料2 kg(精料补充料组)和浓缩料1 kg(浓缩料组),第3组在人工草地上放牧饲养(放牧组),饲养90 d后从精料补充料组和浓缩料组分别选4头,从放牧组选6头,公母各半,共14头进行屠宰试验,测定江城牛的肉品质。结果表明,不同饲养方式对江城牛肉品质有一定影响,补饲精料补充料和浓缩料后,江城牛在失水率、剪切力、粗脂肪、粗蛋白质方面与放牧组存在显著差异(P<0.05),其他成分各组间差异均不显著(P>0.05),但眼肌面积、背膘厚度、大理石花纹等表现为补饲了精料补充料和浓缩料的牛肉品质优于放牧组。不同饲养方式对江城牛肉品质有一定的影响,补充精料补充料和浓缩料后,在肉品质方面,精料补充料组和浓缩料组优于放牧组。说明在饲养过程中可以通过补充精料补充料和浓缩料改善江城牛的肉品质。本研究结果为江城牛的合理饲养和提高肉品质提供了理论依据。  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to determine trace element status and toxic metal accumulation in extensive and intensive pigs in NW Spain. Soil, feed and animal tissues (liver, kidney and muscle from 112 pigs) were collected from extensive and intensive pig farms across NW Spain and analysed for metals by ICP-MS and ICP-OES. Our results indicate that animals from both extensive and intensive systems showed an adequate mineral status and that toxic metal residues were generally low, no sample exceeding the maximum admissible levels in meat and meat products established by the EU. Trace element concentrations were generally higher in the intensive pigs possibly reflecting mineral supplementation in the concentrate feed. The statistically significantly higher As, Hg and Pb residues as well as the better Fe and Ni status in extensive pigs could be related at least in part with soil ingestion when rooting. On the contrary, the higher Cd accumulation in the intensive pigs can be explained considering Cu and Zn supplementation in the concentrate feed. Our results also seem to indicate that toxic metal accumulation as well as trace element status in different tissues could be related to metabolic aspects (i.e. related to breed and growth rate) as well as certain management practices (i.e. physical exercise when grazing).  相似文献

The modern industrial and agricultural production provides many contact points for the food animals with several toxic substances. After their ingestion by the way of feed or water they may endanger the human health as residues or environmental contaminants in food of animal origin. Currently meat, milk and eggs produced on farms in the new federal states of Germany are considered to be dangerous with respect to their xenobiotic burden by numerous consumers. The own trials have been made to give first information about lead, cadmium and arsenic concentrations in feedstuffs, meat and milk from different dairy farms in Saxonia. No serious problems could be detected referring to the metal contents in roughage, grain and crops. Only a few feed samples reached eg. exceeded the permissible upper limits for arsenic and cadmium. But none of the examined feedstuffs contained inadmissible lead concentration. Milk and muscle produced in a metal polluted and not polluted areas were very low in cadmium, lead and arsenic. Total different is the situation in the cases of liver and kidney. Both organs of cows held on farms near a smelter were rich in cadmium and lead. The cadmium concentration in liver and kidney often and the lead concentration sometimes exceeded the permissible upper limits for food. In this context cadmium in kidney of older cows seems to be a problem in general. 本试验旨在研究在饲粮中添加过瘤胃蛋氨酸(RPMet)、过瘤胃赖氨酸(RPLys)对荷斯坦奶公牛肉用生产性能和肉品质的影响。采用完全随机试验设计,选择25头12月龄左右、体重相近的健康荷斯坦奶公牛,随机分为5组,每组5个重复,每个重复1头。对照组饲喂基础饲粮(牧场实用饲粮);其余4个试验组分别在基础饲粮中添加RPMet 15 g/d(RPM组)、RPLys30 g/d(RPL组)、RPLys 30 g/d+RPM et 15 g/d(RPL+M组)和RPLys 30 g/d+RPM et 15 g/d(同时基础饲粮粗蛋白质水平降低1.71%)[RPL+M(L)组]。预试期10 d,正试期150 d。结果表明:1)RPL+M组和RPL+M(L)组试验牛末重、平均日增重均显著高于对照组(P0.05),料重比显著低于对照组(P0.05),但这2组间差异不显著(P0.05);RPL+M(L)组养殖效益最高,为7.67元/(d·头),且高出RPL+M组0.32元/(d·头)。2)与对照组相比,饲粮中添加RPM et、RPLys对荷斯坦奶公牛净肉率无显著影响(P0.05);RPM组、RPL组、RPL+M组和RPL+M(L)组宰前活重显著增加(P0.05),且以RPL+M组最高,但RPL+M组与RPL+M(L)组无显著差异(P0.05);RPL组屠宰率显著升高(P0.05);各试验组胴体产肉率和肉骨比均显著增加(P0.05),但试验组间差异不显著(P0.05)。3)饲粮中添加RPMet、RPLys对眼肌面积、剪切力、熟肉率、大理石花纹等级、p H和肉色等级均无显著影响(P0.05)。4)饲粮中添加RPMet、RPLys对肌肉脂肪酸组成亦无显著影响(P0.05)。综上所述,在饲粮中添加RPM et、RPLys可保持奶公牛同等的肉品质和肌肉脂肪酸含量,并在一定程度上提高奶公牛肉用生产性能;且添加RPMet和RPLys可替代部分蛋白质饲料,增加养殖效益。  相似文献

为了探讨2种营养调控剂对荷斯坦奶公牛育肥性能和屠宰性能的影响,按体重和月龄相近原则选择60头荷斯坦奶公牛,并随机分成3组,对照组饲喂基础日粮,试验1、2组分别在基础日粮中添加100 g/d调控剂Ⅰ和Ⅱ,预试期14 d,正试期31 d。结果表明,试验1、2组每头牛的日增重分别比对照组提高0.32和0.37 kg(P<0.05);与对照组相比,试验2组能显著提高胴体产肉率、肉骨比和十三块分割肉重(P<0.05),试验1、2组的屠宰率、净肉率和十三块分割肉占净肉重比例分别提高了2.96%、3.05%、1.47%和1.89%、2.82%、2.39%,但差异均不显著(P>0.05);在试验期内,试验1、2组比对照组分别多增加利润1233.80和1370.20元。结果提示,2种营养调控剂均对荷斯坦奶公牛的育肥效果较好,可以产生较好的经济效益。  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To determine whether the composition of electrolyte pastes formulated for oral administration influences voluntary water intake (WI) by horses recovering from furosemide-induced dehydration. ANIMALS: 6 horses. PROCEDURES: Voluntary WI, body weight, and blood and urine constituents were measured before and after induction of dehydration by furosemide administration and overnight withholding of water; these same variables also were measured during a 36-hour rehydration period. Each horse was evaluated 4 times with random application of 4 treatments (electrolyte pastes) that provided 0.5 g of KCl/kg of body weight, 0.5 g of NaCl/kg, 0.25 g of NaCl and 0.25 g of KCl/kg, or no electrolytes (control treatment). Electrolyte pastes were administered 3 times (4, 8, and 12 hours after start of the rehydration period). RESULTS: Administration of all electrolyte pastes resulted in significantly greater voluntarily WI, compared with the control treatment, and was accompanied by significantly greater recovery of body weight when NaCl was a component of the paste. Administration of NaCl and NaCl-KCl pastes tended to produce a state of transient hyperhydration; however, electrolyte administration also resulted in significantly greater urine production and electrolyte excretion during the final 24 hours of the rehydration period. Adverse effects of oral administration of hypertonic electrolyte pastes were not observed. CONCLUSIONS AND CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Oral administration of electrolyte pastes to dehydrated horses increases voluntary WI and improves rehydration during the rehydration period. Rehydration is more rapid and complete when NaCl is a component of the electrolyte paste.  相似文献

文章总结了畜禽生产中可利用的藻类及其营养成分,重点介绍了含藻饲料对以猪和鸡为代表的畜禽生长、免疫、肌肉品质、产蛋性能和禽蛋品质等方面的影响,还指出了藻类在畜禽饲料应用中存在的问题并提出建议,旨在为藻类资源在猪、鸡养殖生产中的广泛应用提供参考。藻类分布广、易生长、产量大,尤其是海藻,含有陆生植物不具有的生物活性物质和营养物质。将富含不饱和脂肪酸和色素的微藻添加到饲料中能改善畜禽肉品质,提升禽蛋品质;将富含多糖等活性物质的大型海藻添加到饲料中有助于提升畜禽免疫力。饲料中添加少量藻类可提高饲料稳定性,提升畜禽生长性能和饲料利用率;当藻类添加量过高时,其所含的抗营养因子会对畜禽产生负面影响,但通过适当的预处理可消除部分抗营养因子,减轻负面效应。  相似文献
