For the first time, pre‐ and post‐hepatic plasma lipid profiles were monitored following a single meal in a free‐swimming, non‐anaesthetized fish. Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss; 700–1500 g; 10 °C) were equipped with cannulae in the dorsal aorta (DA) and hepatic portal vein (HPV). Simultaneous blood samples, taken from both cannulae at 0, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h postprandial, revealed the time course of the plasma lipid profiles following a single meal (1% of body mass). Primarily monounsaturated fatty acids with the exception of 18:1n ? 9, increased significantly from baseline by 12 h postprandial without greatly affecting total plasma lipid concentrations. Total plasma lipids then showed a small peak at 24 h postprandial, coinciding with a peak in triacylglycerols. We conclude that assimilation of lipids from the digest into the plasma is slower than reported for proteins and carbohydrates in the same species. Furthermore, as there were no significant differences between the HPV and DA, no measurable effect of hepatic passage on plasma lipid levels was resolved. Therefore, we also conclude that, in contrast to that in higher vertebrates, hepatic passage does not seem to have a major role in rainbow trout for modulating the postprandial plasma profile of lipids.  相似文献

This work investigated the action of neuropeptide Y (NPY) on thein vitro pituitary release of the maturing gonadotropic hormone (GtH) of the rainbow trout using a perifusion system employing trout balanced salt solution (pH 7.5) at 15°C and a 12.5 ml/h flow rate. In vitellogenic females a 20 minutes NPY application (10−7 M) induced a 20–30% decrease in GtH secretion. Removal of NPY was followed by a rebound in GTH secretion. On the contrary, in ovulated females, NPY (15 minutes, 10−7 M) directly stimulated GTH secretion. The greatest stimulation was obtained the day of ovulation where the stimulatory effect of NPY was similar to those induced by s.GnRH in the same conditions, reaching 400% of the basal GTH level. In vitellogenic females treated with 1-4-6 androstadien 3–7 dione, an inhibitor of aromatase activity, the pituitary response to NPY was similar to that obtained in ovulated females. Thus thein vitro action of NPY might depend on thein vivo steroidogenic environment.  相似文献

As the supply of marine fish oil is becoming a limiting factor in the production of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), new diets and alternative sources of energy are being tested. Plant oils are natural potential candidates to replace fish oil, but the different levels of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids may influence the health and growth of salmon. In this study, we have investigated the resistance to transport stress and bacterial infection, phagocytic activity in head kidney macrophages and eicosanoid metabolism in salmon fed three different diets. In high-energy fishmeal based diets, 50% and 100% of the supplementary fish oil (FO) was replaced with soybean oil (SO). The three dietary groups were fed for 950 day-degrees at 5 °C (27 weeks) and 12 °C (11 weeks) before challenging the fish with Aeromonas salmonicida, analyzing the lipid composition of head kidney and examining macrophage function in vivo and in vitro. Dietary fatty acids affected the lipid composition of the kidney. The level of eicosanoid precursor’s 20:4n-6 and 20:3n-6 were 3 and 7-fold higher in the 100% SO group compared with the FO group. The total fraction of n-3 lipids in kidney was 19% in the SO group, compared to 16% and 12% in the 50% or 100% SO groups, respectively. However, the production of leucotriene B4 (LTB) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE) immunoreactive materiel from exogenously added arachidonic acid in head kidney macrophages was only affected by the composite diet (increased) at 5 °C. In addition, the phagocytic activity of kidney macrophages in vivo and in vitro was not affected by diet. No effect of diet was observed on transport stress or susceptibility to a bacterial infection with Aeromonas salmonicida. Atlantic salmon therefore seems to tolerate a diet solely based on soybean oil as lipid source, without any detrimental effects on growth, health and immune functions.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effects of the diets enriched with safflower and canola oil on growth, feed utilization, body composition, liver, and muscle fatty acid composition of rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Rainbow trout having approximate initial weight of 97.03 ± 0.10 g were fed the experimental diets containing only fish oil (Group 0SFO), safflower oil (50% safflower oil, Group 50SFO and 33% safflower oil, Group 33SFO), and vegetable oil blend (33% safflower and 33% canola oil, Group 66SFCO) for 45 days. Twenty-five fish were randomly assigned for triplicate treatments and offered the test diets two times daily to apparent satiation. At the end of the experiment, survival was 100% in all treatments. No significant differences in the weight gain, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio, and protein efficiency ratio were found between fish fed with the different experimental diets. The highest hepatosomatic index (HIS) and viscerasomatic index (VSI) was obtained in 50SFO and 33SFO groups, respectively. The moisture, protein, lipid, and ash content in the body composition of the fish increased in all experimental groups. The lipid content was not significantly different among the groups (p > 0.05); however, there was a significant difference in ash content between the control and the other groups (p < 0.05). The experimental diets containing vegetable oil (50SFO and 33SFO groups) and vegetable oil blend (66SFCO group) had significantly higher concentrations of n-6 fatty acids, predominantly in the form of linoleic acid (LA). The n-3 fatty acids were present in significantly higher concentration in the control treatment (0SFO). The fatty acid composition of fish fillet and liver were reflective of the dietary lipid source. While the fillet and liver of fish fed the 50SFO diet was high in linoleic acid (18:2 n-6), fish fed the 66SFCO diet had high concentrations of oleic acid (OA; 18:1 n-9). The present study suggests that fish oil can be replaced by up to 50% with safflower oil and by up to 66% with safflower + canola oil blend in rainbow trout diets with no significant effect on growth.  相似文献

为了解大西洋鲑(Salmo salar)、三倍体虹鳟(Oncorhynchus mykiss)、金鳟(Oncorhynchus mykiss)3种鱼肌肉营养成分和品质特性,利用生化分析、物性分析方法分析3种鱼肌肉的营养成分、氨基酸和脂肪酸组成、肉色、系水力和质构特性。结果表明,大西洋鲑、三倍体虹鳟、金鳟肌肉的水分质量分数分别为62.91%、67.15%、73.02%,粗蛋白质量分数分别为22.39%、21.03%、22.11%,粗脂肪质量分数分别为14.64%、17.16%、5.11%。3种鱼肌肉的滴水损失、黄色值(b~*)、羟脯氨酸含量、内聚性均显著不差异(P0.05)。3种鱼肌肉的硬度和咀嚼性由低到高依次为大西洋鲑、三倍体虹鳟、金鳟,而pH值的结果则与之相反(P0.05)。大西洋鲑和三倍体虹鳟肌肉的灰分、解冻损失、蒸煮损失、回复性、弹性和红色值(a~*)差异不显著(P0.05),但灰分、蒸煮损失、回复性均小于金鳟肌肉的对应指标(P0.05),弹性和红色值(a~*)则均大于金鳟肌肉的对应指标(P0.05)。大西洋鲑、三倍体虹鳟、金鳟肌肉中必需氨基酸含量占氨基酸总量分别为42.28%、41.84%、41.63%(质量分数),必需氨基酸/非必需氨基酸(EAA/NEAA)比值分别为73.25%、71.94%、71.32%,均符合联合国粮农组织/世界卫生组织(FAO/WHO)对优质蛋白质的评价标准;3种鱼肌肉中均检测到22种脂肪酸,组成丰富,其中不饱和脂肪酸含量较高。综上所述,3种鱼的肌肉都是符合人体营养需求的优质水产品,其中大西洋鲑和三倍体虹鳟肉质接近,且都优于金鳟的肉质。  相似文献

The effects of the pancreatic hormones, insulin and glucagon, on rates of lipid biosynthesis in liver removed from rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, were evaluated in vitro. Livers were removed from animals fasted for 30–36h, cut into ca. 1 mm3 pieces, and incubated in the presence of various concentrations of salmon insulin (sINS), bovine insulin (bINS), or a combination of BINS and bovine/porcine glucagon (GLU). Lipid synthesis was evaluated by total lipid concentration, 3H2O incorporation into total lipid, and by fatty acid synthetase activity. Both mammalian and sINS tended to increase tissue total lipid concentration in hepatic tissue incubated for 5h. Insulin also stimulated 3H2O incorporation into total lipid in a dose-dependent manner. Bovine INS (2 × 10?6 M) stimulated de novo synthesis nearly 6-fold over control rates; sINS (2 × 10?6 M) stimulated label incorporation more than 7-fold over control rates. Glucagon inhibited INS-stimulated 3H2O incorporation; whereas, GLU alone had no effect on lipid synthesis in liver pieces incubated 5h. Lipid class analysis indicated that bINS significantly stimulated 3H2O incorporation into phospholipids, fatty acids, and triacylglycerols. The greatest accumulation of label was in the triacylglycerol fraction, where incorporation was stimulated 17-fold over control levels. Hepatic enzymatic analysis indicated that bINS also significantly stimulated lipogenic enzyme activity 9-fold above control levels. These results indicate that INS is an important regulator of lipid synthesis in the liver of trout.  相似文献

研究了黄颡鱼受精卵孵化期间和仔鱼发育阶段脂肪含量和脂肪酸的组成变化规律.采用常规化学分析方法和气相色谱法对黄颡鱼从鱼卵受精开始至仔鱼孵化后未投饵的7 d内的脂肪含量和脂肪酸组成进行测定.结果表明,受精卵在整个孵化期间脂肪含量有下降趋势.受精卵中不饱和脂肪酸含量大于饱和脂肪酸含量.受精卵在整个孵化期间各种脂肪酸含量无明显变化.仔鱼孵化后,鱼体总脂肪含量急剧下降,总脂含量从0日龄的4.57%降低到7日龄的0.75%.仔鱼在饥饿期间鱼体脂肪酸组成发生明显变化,单不饱和脂肪酸含量下降最为明显,尤其是C18:1.仔鱼在饥饿期间,脂肪酸按n-9>n-6>n-3顺序被先后利用,黄颡鱼仔鱼发育阶段主要以单不饱和脂肪酸作为能量代谢基质,而C20:4n6(AA)和C22:6n3(DHA)优先于C20:5n3(EPA)被保存下来.  相似文献

Changes in the fatty acid profiles of the Percichthyid fish trout cod, Maccullochella macquariensis (Cuvier), and Murray cod, M. peelii peelii (Mitchell), two Australian native freshwater fish species, were investigated during early development from egg to yolk-sac-resorbed larval stage. In the two Percichthyid fishes polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) accounted for more than 50 % of the 19 quantified fatty acids in total lipid. The fatty acids that occurred in the highest abundance in both trout cod and Murray cod, in all developmental stages, in order, were docosahexaenoic acid [DHA 22:6(n-3)], arachidonic acid [AA 20:4(n-6)], oleic acid [18:1(n-9)] and palmitic acid (16:0), all of which exceeded 100 μg per mg total lipid in most instances. The ratio of 22:6(n-3) to eicosapentaenoic acid- 20:5(n-3) in eggs of trout cod and Murray cod was 5.4:1 and 7.3:1, respectively, and remained almost unchanged through development, and was considerably higher than the 2:1 ratio generally reported for fish eggs. In trout cod, 11 of the 19 fatty acids in total lipid decreased during the transformation from egg to yolk-sac-resorbed larva. In Murray cod, only 16:1(n-7) showed a significant decrease whilst 20:4(n-6) increased significantly with development. Overall, there was a tendency in both species to conserve n-3 and n-6 series highly unsaturated fatty acids (HUFA), suggesting their essentiality in first feeding larvae. These observations are discussed in relation to the feeding habits of trout cod and Murray cod, which are top order, freshwater carnivores.  相似文献

Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss Walbaum) were fed purified diets containing fish oil for six weeks and then soybean lecithin or soybean oil for 25 days. The gastrointestinal tract segments, stomach, midgut and hindgut were then sampled for lipid and fatty acid composition and electron microscopy. Membrane lipid class composition was fairly similar in all three segments of trout fed fish oil. Hindgut contained slightly more phosphatidylserine than stomach and midgut, while midgut contained more phosphatidylcholine and less lysophospatidylcholine/sphingomyelin. Feeding soybean products appeared to marginally decrease free cholesterol. The fatty acid compositions of the main lipid classes showed significant regional differences. In control fish, stomach had higher levels of arachidonic acid (20:4n-6) and n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids than midgut and hindgut, and lower content of docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n-3) and n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Midgut phosphatidylethanolamine also had higher levels of saturated fatty acids and less n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids than the other tissues. Feeding soybean products decreased the n-3/n-6 ratio mainly due to increases in linoleic (18:2n-6) and 20:4n-6 and decreases in 22:6n-3 and eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5n-3). Phosphatidylcholine and to a lesser extent phosphatidylethanolamine adapted more readily to dietary changes by major increases in 18:2n-6 and C20−22 n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. The composition of phosphatidyl-serine and -inositol appeared to be under more strict metabolic control. Linoleic acid hardly increased at all while the increase in other n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids was less pronounced than for the other lipid classes. Regardless of lipid class, stomach resisted dietary changes more strongly than midgut and hindgut. Increases in n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids were minor as were the loss of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. The dead-end product 20:2n-6 accumulated to a higher degree in hindgut phosphatidyl-ethanolamine and -coline compared to midgut and stomach, suggesting that the activity of Δ6 desaturation is higher in the anterior part of the intestine where most of the lipid is absorbed. Feeding soybean oil caused massive accumulation of free lipid droplets in midgut enterocytes while little lipid droplets were observed in trout fed fish oil or soybean lecithin. Since both soybean products influenced intestinal composition to the same degree, altered fatty acid profiles in membranes is not responsible for the observed lipid accumulation. This supports previous observations in Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus L.), suggesting that fish may require exogenous phospholipids in order to sustain a sufficient rate of lipoprotein synthesis. The cardiovascular effects of the kallikrein-kinin system (KKS) have not been completely characterized in lower vertebrates. In the present study, a specific, irreversible kallikrein inhibitor, Phe-Phe-Arg-chloromethyl ketone (PPACMK) was used to examine: 1. the role of the KKS in blood pressure regulation in vivo; 2. the nature of the pressor substance formed by the action of kallikrein on trout plasma in vivo and in vitro; and 3. the presence of kallikrein in trout gills and kidney. Dorsal aortic cannulated rainbow trout were used for in vivo blood pressure assays and two colorimetric serine-protease assays were used to examine tissue kallikrein activity. PPACMK alone had no effect on blood pressure in vivo. Pretreatment of porcine kallikrein with PPACMK inhibited the enzyme's pressor effect in trout by 80% and significantly attenuated the synthesis of vasopressor substance(s) from heat-treated trout plasma in vitro. Approximately 30% of gill serine protease activity was inhibited by pretreatment with PPACMK; no PPACMK-sensitive kallikrein activity was observed in the kidney. Salt water adaptation did not affect kallikrein-specific activity in the gill. These results show that the salmonid KKS does not appear to be involved in the regulation of systemic blood pressure. Further, the formation of pressor substances from trout plasma in vivo and in vitro is due to kallikrein activity and the peptides generated are similar. A kallikrein, similar to the mammalian enzyme, is found in trout gills, suggesting that the salmonid KKS may be a local mediator of gill function.  相似文献

The importance of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially the eicosanoid precursors, is addressed in this paper. It has been generally recognized that eicosapentaenoic (EPA, 20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) are of significant importance in fish reproduction while arachidonic acid (AA, 20:4n-6) has often been overlooked. The ratio between C20 fatty acids EPA and AA might be important for many physiological functions depending on the species evolution and its requirements. Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) has a much more pronounced freshwater history and therefore different fatty acid requirements than the other commonly farmed salmonids such as salmon (Salmo salar), brown trout (Salmo trutta) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Therefore there is reason to formulate a feed that is more suitable for farming of this freshwater species. In this study, freshwater wild-origin char eggs were compared to farmed eggs of char. The ratio n-3/n-6 of total phospholipids of eggs was much lower in the wild fish, 3.5 versus 13.5, and the hatching rate of eggs from natural environment was much higher (20–70% vs. >80%). We conclude that feed based on marine raw product does not fulfill the requirements for essential fatty acids for freshwater char and we suggest that AA is supplemented to the broodstock diet and that at least linoleic acid (18:2n-6) is included in the on-growth diet formulas to lower the n-3/n-6 fatty acid ratio.  相似文献

Total lipid and fatty acid compositions were determined during embryogenesis and larval development in Eurasian perch (Perca fluviatilis). During embryonic development, perch did not catabolize lipids and fatty acids as an energy source. However, during larval development, there was an exponential relationship between the decrease in total lipids and the duration of starving (r 2=0.9957) and feeding (r 2=1). The duration of the starving period (10 days post hatching) was shorter than the feeding period (35 days post hatching). In both starved and fed larvae, there is an apparent preference in utilization of polyunsaturated fatty acids followed by monounsaturated fatty acids. Saturated fatty acids were utilized by neither fed perch larvae nor by starved perch larvae. In starved larvae, palmitoleic 16:1(n-7) and oleic 18:1(n-9) acids were the preferentially monounsaturated fatty acids catabolized and their contribution as energy source from total fatty acids catabolized over the first week was 37.6%. In fed larvae, these 2 nutrients were also the most monounsaturated fatty acids utilized as energy source and possibly also as precursors for others monounsaturated fatty acids biosynthesis. During the same period and among (n-6) polyunsaturated fatty acids, starved perch utilized less linoleic 18:2(n-6) and arachidonic 20:4(n-6) acids than fed larvae despite the fact that the starved perch were in more unfavorable nutritional conditions. In the case of (n-3) fatty acids, starved larvae utilized more linolenic acid 18:3(n-3) and less eicosapentaenoic 20:5(n-3) acid and docosahexaenoic 22:6(n-3) acid than fed perch. Starved larvae probably spared 20:5(n-3) and 22:6(n-3) for physiological functions.  相似文献

This study compared the effects of dietary l ‐carnitine and ploidy on growth performances and fatty acid content in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Fish [initial body weight (BW) = 30 g] reared under high density (50 kg biomass m?3) were hand‐fed in triplicate (3 tanks treatment?1, 34 fish tank?1) twice a day, with three nutritionally identical diets containing 15, 200 or 530 mg l ‐carnitine kg?1 of diet. No significant growth differences were observed over a 56‐day grow‐out period, during which BWs increased threefold. Growth performances and survival were not significantly affected by either ploidy or dietary l ‐carnitine content, although daily growth index showed an increasing trend (2.52–2.65% day?1) with increasing dietary l ‐carnitine. Body l ‐carnitine content increased significantly with dietary l ‐carnitine content. Diploid fish had higher plasma ammonia (716–725 μmol L?1) and osmolality (297–303 mOsm) levels than triploid trout (523–649 μmol L?1 and 285–291 mOsm, respectively). l ‐carnitine, ploidy and their interaction showed to affect significantly the concentration of several fatty acids. Palmitoleic (16:1), oleic (18:1) and erucic (22:1) acids showed lower concentrations, while the eicosadienoic (20:2n‐6) and arachidonic (20:4n‐6) acids were elevated in liver of triploid fish. Eicosapentaenoic acid (22:5n‐3) was significantly higher in fish fed 200 mg than in fish fed 15 mg l ‐carnitine.  相似文献

Protein, lipid and fatty acid concentrations in plasma of eight male and eight female six year old captive striped bass (Morone saxatilis) were monitored monthly over the course of two reproductive cycles as part of an effort to investigate the time course of lipid class mobilization and subsequent deposition in gonads. Total protein levels (44.2 ± 0.67 mg ml–1, range 20.6–86.4) showed seasonal fluctuation, but did not vary with sex. Total lipid concentrations in the plasma of both males (17.7 ± 0.61 mg ml–1) and females (14.1 ± 0.64 mg ml–1) showed seasonal fluctuations with the lowest levels in late Spring during spawning. Plasma lipids in females were significantly (p < 0.0001) lower than those of the males except during early ovarian secondary growth. Analysis of the lipid class composition revealed that the decrease in plasma lipid concentrations in females prior to spawning is primarily due to a decrease of up to 50% in the phospholipid content of the plasma relative to males. Striped bass vitellogenin was found to contain approximately 20% lipid by weight with nearly 80% of the lipid being phosphatidyl choline (PC). Vitellogenin levels previously measured in these individuals were highest during the winter months and decreased in the 2 months prior to spawning. Although mature striped bass oocytes are rich in wax esters, no wax esters or fatty alcohols were found in the plasma. Analysis of the fatty acyl composition of separated lipid classes suggests that PC is the primary carrier of the essential (n=3) fatty acids 22:6 (DHA) and 20:5 (EPA) to the gonads. Fatty acid analysis of the lipids associated with vitellogenin revealed that levels of essential fatty acids were low relative to vitellogenin-borne lipids from other teleosts. The lack of detectable wax esters in plasma lipids of female striped bass suggests that these abundant lipids in mature eggs are synthesized within the oocytes.  相似文献

This study tested the hypothesis that the renal reabsorption of urea occurs via the glucose transport pathway in the freshwater rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). The relationship between glucose transport and urea transport was examined by experimentally elevating the rate of renal glucose reabsorption via infusion of the fish with exogenous glucose, and by inactivating the glucose transporters via the administration of phlorizin. Under all treatments, urea was reabsorbed against a concentration gradient, with plasma levels of urea being higher than urine levels. Glucose was almost completely reabsorbed (88%) whereas urea was reabsorbed less efficiently (47%) but to a greater extent than water (22%). Glucose and urea reabsorption were both found to be correlated with Na+ and Cl reabsorption, though the latter were 20 fold and 200–300 fold higher than glucose and urea transport rates, respectively. Glucose infusions greatly increased glucose reabsorption but urea reabsorption was unaffected. Phlorizin treatment completely blocked glucose reabsorption, but urea reabsorption was again unaffected. We conclude that there is no relationship between glucose and urea handling in the trout kidney, thus disproving the hypothesis.  相似文献

The effect of semi-continuous culture on the nutritional value of microalgae was tested in the rotifer Brachionus plicatilis in short-term enrichment experiments. Isochrysis aff. galbana clone T-ISO was cultured semi-continuously with renewal rates from 10 to 50% of the volume of the culture per day and used to feed the rotifers. After 24 h, dramatic differences in dry weight and protein, lipid and carbohydrate contents were observed in the rotifers depending on the renewal rate applied to the microalgal culture. Rotifers fed T-ISO cultured with low renewal rates showed low dry weight and organic content, whereas rotifers fed microalgae from nutrient-sufficient, high renewal rate cultures showed higher dry weight and increases up to 60% in protein, 35% in lipid and 100% in carbohydrate contents. Feed conversion rate (FCR) and organic FCR decreased with increasing renewal rates, indicating a more efficient assimilation of the microalgal biomass obtained at high growth rates. The fatty acid profile of rotifers reflected that of T-ISO, with maximum content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), n-3 fatty acids and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) being found in the rotifers fed microalgae from the renewal rate of 40%. Results demonstrate that the biochemical composition of B. plicatilis is strongly modified through the use of semi-continuous cultures of microalgae in short-term enrichment processes. This technique provides an excellent tool to improve the nutritional value of the live feed used in fish larvae cultures.  相似文献

The composition of tail muscle fatty acids from wild and cultured bluefin tuna reared on a diet based on herring and sardine, along with the plasma lipid profile of the farmed individuals, was determined. The total lipid content of farmed bluefin in this study was 0.922 g/100 g or 3.49 g of saturated fatty acids (SAFA), 4.48 g of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), 2.58 g polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) n‐3 and 0.37 g of PUFA n‐6 fatty acids; for wild specimens, it was 0.920 g/100 g, or 2.85 g of SAFA, 4.82 g of MUFA, 2.78 g PUFA n‐3 and 0.27 g of PUFA n‐6 fatty acids. The major fatty acids in this study were 16:0; 16:1, n‐7; 18:1, n‐9 and DHA 22:6, n‐3 acids. The sum of these major components accounted for more than 57% and 80% of the total fatty acids in all the samples of farmed and wild tuna respectively. No significant differences in the proximate composition were demonstrated between farmed and wild samples, except for the energy value, in favour of the farmed tuna. Statistically, glucose tends to increase together with cholesterol (CHOL) and plasma triglyceride, as for these pairs, it showed positive correlation coefficients and P>0.05. Some measured tuna metabolites demonstrated strong mutual correlations, especially GLU, CHOL and TRIG, which are crucial factors in the lipid profile of animals.  相似文献

The effects of dietary lipid from four experimental diets on the fatty acid (FA) composition and cholesterol (CHOL) content of spermatozoa and spermatozoal plasma membranes and their consequences for sperm viability after cryopreservation were evaluated in rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss (Walbaum). The four sources of lipid were herring oil (adequate n‐3 FA), menhaden oil (high n‐3 FA), safflower oil (high n‐6 FA) or tallow (high saturated FA), and they comprised 12% of the total diet. Spermatozoa from fish fed the tallow diet had significantly (P < 0.05) higher CHOL levels than spermatozoa from the fish fed the other diets. The spermatozoal plasma membranes from fish fed the tallow diet had significantly (P < 0.05) higher CHOL and monounsaturated fatty acid levels than those from fish fed the menhaden or safflower oil diets, but were not different from membranes of fish fed the herring oil diet. Cryopreserved spermatozoa from fish fed the tallow or herring oil diets exhibited less membrane damage (P < 0.05) and produced a higher percentage (P < 0.05) of eyed embryos compared with spermatozoa from the menhaden or safflower oil‐fed fish. Therefore, it would appear that high levels of CHOL and monounsaturated fatty acids provided the spermatozoa with increased resistance to cryopreservation damage.  相似文献

A 12‐week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of fish oil replacement by soybean oil, on lipid distribution and liver histology of two commercially important finfish species: rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). Sea bass (16.2 ± 0.5 g; mean ± SD) and rainbow trout (52.1 ± 0.5 g) juveniles were fed one of three isonitrogenous (500 g kg?1 CP) and isoenergetic (19 kJ g?1) diets, containing 0% (control, diet A), 25% (diet B) and 50% (diet C) soybean oil. At the end of the experiment, lipid deposition was evaluated in muscle, liver and viscera. Cholesterol and triglycerides levels were also determined in plasma. Tissue total, neutral and polar lipid composition (g kg?1 total lipids) showed no significant differences within species, regardless the dietary treatment. The same trend was observed for plasma parameters (P > 0.05). Viscera were the preferential tissue of lipid deposition, with 252–276 and 469–513 g kg?1 total lipid content in trout and sea bass, respectively. Dietary fish oil replacement had no effect on either hepatic lipid droplets accumulation or degree and pattern of vacuolization in the observed liver sections. These data suggest that both sea bass and trout can be fed diets containing up to 50% soybean oil without adverse effects on tissue lipid composition or liver histology.  相似文献
