Zusammenfassung 49 röntgeninduzierte Mutanten der Wintergerstensorten Friedrichswerther Berg, Peragis Mittelfrühe II, Kleinwanzlebener 12 und Mahndorfer werden morphologisch beschrieben. Sie werden unter der Rangstufe Linie (auf dem gleichen Rang wie die Sorte), zusammengefaßt nach Hauptmerkmalen, in das morphologische System eingeordnet. Sie konnten 10 verschiedenen Varietäten der convar.hexastichon (L.) Alef. s. l. zugeordnet werden. Eine dieser Varietäten (var.semiaristatum, p. 240) stellt eine neue Merkmalskombination dar und wird beschrieben.Soweit bisher Kreuzungsanalysen vorliegen, werden Angaben über die Vererbung des Hauptmerkmals bei den einzelnen Mutanten gemacht; in der Regel liegen monogen rezessive Erbgänge vor. Drei verschiedene Ausprägungsgrade des Hauptmerkmals Grannen kurz und brüchig konnten auf ebenso viele Glieder einer Serie multipler Allele zurückgeführt werden (S. 235 ff). This study investigated the relationship between follicle size (FS) and developmental competence of calf oocytes. Cumulus-oocyte-complexes (COCs) from follicles>8 (L-COCs; n=19), 4-8 (M-COCs; n=54), and 2-3 mm (S-COCs; n=155) were recovered from non-stimulated 1-4 months old dairy calves post mortem and ex vivo (laparoscopy), and in parallel from slaughtered adult cows from follicles of identical size categories [>8 (n=91); 4-8 (n=138); 2-3 mm (n=193)]. Morphologically intact COCs were subjected to in vitro maturation, fertilization, and embryo culture. Cleavage rate (CR; 46 h post-insemination=p.i.), rate of morulae/blastocysts (M/Bl; day 7 p.i.), and blastocysts (Bl; day 9 p.i.) were recorded. FS had no effect on the CR in calves. However, calf L-COCs yielded the highest rates of M/Bl and Bl compared with the two other size categories (P<0.05). In contrast, calf S- and M-COCs gave similar rates of M/Bl, whereas the proportion of Bl was lowest for S-COCs (P<0.05). This was almost identical to findings in cows, except that the CR was highest for L-COCs and M/Bl yields were lowest for S-COCs (P<0.05). There were no differences between calf and cows with regard to CR for the respective FS categories. L-COCs from calves and cows yielded similar rates of M/Bl and Bl, whereas calf S- and M-COCs yielded lower rates of Bl than S- and M-COCs from cows and a lower rate of M/Bl when S-and M-COCs were analyzed as one group (P<0.05). Whereas the CR was similar in calves and cows, calf COCs yielded lower rates of M/Bl and Bl (P<0.05). In conclusion, the results show that the developmental competence of calf oocytes is higher in those derived from follicles larger than 8 mm, and thus are almost equally as competent as cow oocytes derived from follicles of identical size. This suggests that calf oocytes acquire developmental competence within the large follicle, potentially due to a process similar to prematuration of the oocyte in the adult cow. It is proposed that procedures that facilitate prematuration, such as "coasting" following a preceding superstimulation, might increase the developmental competence of calf oocytes.  相似文献

A phage-displayed peptide library was screened using four mAbs directed against bovine herpesvirus 1 (BoHV-1) gE glycoprotein to identify peptides mimicking this glycoprotein. The selected mimotopes allowed us to characterize the epitopes corresponding to the mAbs as continuous and proteinic and to consider using these peptides in further studies. One epitope has been clearly located at the C-terminus of the protein (amino-acids 561-569). The three other mAbs enabled us to stress the immunogenic relevance of the proline-rich motifs of gE. Selected peptides showed no clear sequence identity with gE, but there is a clear link between gE proline-rich regions and the amino-acid composition of the mimotopes. The proline-rich motifs of gE are potentially located in flanking regions involved in the gE/gl glycoprotein complex formation. N-terminal fusion to pill or pVIII filamentous phage protein, C-terminal fusion to the T7 phage capsid protein, biotinylated synthetic peptides and insertion between the non-cleaved CX leader sequence and the C-terminal part of Caulobacter crescentus RsaA protein have been tested in order to increase the valency of a model peptide. We have diverted the C. crescentus expression system and proven its usefulness using the RsaA protein as a scaffold displaying the peptides of interest. Comparison between these different display systems in an indirect ELISA, indicates that the C. crescentus expression and the T7 phage display systems have some major advantages.  相似文献

We report our results of partial lumbosacral laminectomy for treatment of canine Cauda equina Compression Syndrome due to a lumbosacral stenosis. Opposite to conventional techniques of dorsal laminectomy, only widening of the Spatium interarcuale is performed. This is achieved by exstirpation of the Lig. flavum and partial dorsal laminectomy of the first sacral segment. The Proc. spinosi and integrity of facet joints are fully maintained by this technique. In 96.5% of 86 dogs treated with this method relief of dorsal pressure and permanent rapid regression of clinical symptoms was achieved. In two cases recurrence of clinical symptoms was observed during follow up and one case showed no improvement at all. In conclusion partial dorsal laminectomy is a minimal invasive technique for treatment of Cauda equina compression syndrome expressed by pain reaction accompanied by minor neurological deficits caused by lumbosacral stenosis. Maintained spinal stability allows short reconvalescence and the unrestricted use of dogs immediately post operation.  相似文献

To assess the influence of orthonasal and retronasal stimulation on cross-modal interactions between texture and flavor perception of food, a series of experiments have been conducted. Healthy human subjects were exposed to strawberry aroma pulses delivered by a computer-controlled stimulator based on air dilution olfactometry. Just prior to exposure to the aroma, the human subjects consumed water, custard, or protein gels with different textures without any added aroma. The aroma was delivered as a sequence of aroma pulses, in either an orthonasal or a retronasal fashion. The retronasal presentation of aroma with concomitant presentation of texture is thought to more closely mimick the in vivo flavor release of semisolid food products as compared to orthonasal stimulation. The time between oral consumption of the food, including swallowing, and the exposure to the aroma varied between 0.5 and 6.5 s. The subjects rated the intensity of the strawberry aroma. It was observed that the intensity of aroma decreased with increasing firmness of the food that was consumed. Aroma pulses delivered 6.5 s after swallowing were perceived as being more intense as compared to aroma pulses delivered immediately after swallowing. In conjunction with late delivery, the effect cross-modal interactions apparently decreased. Significantly higher odor intensities were reported for the aroma stimuli supplied orthonasally in comparison to retronasal administration. The observed cross-modal effect of texture on aroma intensity was not significantly altered by the mode of aroma delivery, i.e., orthonasal or retronasal stimulus administration.  相似文献
