Fish meal replacement by soy protein from soymilk in the diets of red sea bream (Pagrus major)

Six isoenergetic diets were formulated as follows: fish meal (FM) 700 g kg–1 (control, C), FM 300 g kg–1 + soy protein concentrate 300 g kg–1 (SPC), FM 300 g kg–1 + enzyme‐treated SPC 300 g kg–1 (ESC), FM 170 g kg–1 + soy protein isolate 300 g kg–1 (SPI), FM 160 g kg–1 + enzyme‐treated SPI 300 g kg–1 (ESI) and FM 150 g kg–1 + conglycinin 300 g kg–1(CG). Forty fish (3.9 g) were randomly distributed into each of eighteen 300‐L tanks, fed twice daily until satiation for 8 weeks. The final body weight, specific growth rate and condition factor did not show significant differences among the fish fed with diets C, SPC, ESC and ESI (p > .05). The survival was significantly lower in fish fed with diets SPI and CG. Feed efficiency was significantly higher in fish fed with diets SPC and C than in fish fed with other diets (p < .05). There were no significant differences in nutrients retention efficiencies in fish fed with diets C, SPC, ESC and ESI. A significantly higher phosphorus retention efficiency in fish fed with soymilk protein diets resulted in lower phosphorus discharge to the environment (p < .05). These results suggest that the soymilk proteins can comfortably replace 570–770 g FM kg–1 diet of red sea bream juvenile, which will ensure significant ecological benefits through reducing phosphorus load to the environment. 相似文献

To understand the causes and to control harmful blooms of the giant Nomura??s jellyfish Nemopilema nomurai, it is essential to study the seed population (benthic polyps) and its environment. To locate the habitat of polyps, the first step is to find ephyrae shortly after detachment from polyps. We found five ephyrae of N. nomurai of 1?C2?mm diameter for the first time from plankton samples collected at two sites, one specimen in the northwestern East China Sea (32°12.3??N, 123°12??E) and the other four specimens in the Yellow Sea (34°05.8??N, 121°50.0??E), on 22 and 26 May 2011. From the developmental state and water temperature of ca. 16?°C at the sampling stations, the collected ephyrae were estimated to have detached from polyps in early May of the year. Considering the increase of water temperature which induces strobilation and the direction of transport in the northwestern East China Sea and in the Yellow Sea, the locality of the seed polyps of the present specimens is probably the sea-floor close to the Changjiang River mouth and along the coast of Jiangsu Province. 相似文献

Since gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) is highly and locally expressed in human breast cancer, a GGT-enzymatically activatable fluorescent probe, gamma-glutamyl hydroxymethyl rhodamine green (gGlu-HMRG), has been developed to detect the human breast cancer area with high performance. In this study, GGT expression and the efficacy of gGlu-HMRG on visualization were investigated in canine mammary gland tumors (MGT). Seventeen non-fixed fresh-frozen MGT specimens and each peritumoral control tissue were utilized. The GGT mRNA levels were highly observed in the tumor specimens compared with the control. GGT immunostaining was mostly observed on the cell membrane and cytosol of the alveolar and duct mammary epithelium of MGT tissues. These signals were strongly positive in several cases while they were mild to not observed in other cases. When gGlu-HMRG solution was dropped to the non-fixed tissue pieces of MGT or control tissues, the fluorescence intensities (FIs) were measured using Maestro in-vivo imaging device. FIs in MGT tissues were significantly higher than each control tissue 20 min after treatment. Based on Youden index method said that the maximum sensitivity and specificity of FI was 82.4% and 82.4%. These findings suggest that GGT is highly expressed in several MGTs in dogs and gGlu-HMRG could visualize at least a part of MGT tissues in dogs.
