LiDAR-derived slopes for headwater channel network analysis   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Slope is one of the most important distinguishing features for channel morphology. Variations in the computation of slope from a digital elevation model can affect a wide range of hydrogeomorphically derived applications. We compare different methods for computing channel slope using LiDAR-derived digital terrain models (DTMs) with varying resolutions. We chose a headwater basin of the Eastern Italian Alps, characterized by a dense ephemeral colluvial network and a main alluvial channel as our study area. The identified alluvial morphologies are characteristic of steep mountain streams, namely, cascades and step pools. Field surveys were carried out along the main channel and in some small tributaries. Results indicate that a single method for slope calculation cannot estimate channel slope at the hydrographic network scale. The differential geometry approach for slope calculation tends to overestimate field-surveyed channel slope values for all the DTM resolutions (1, 2, 5 m). When a trigonometric approach for slope calculation is applied, 2 and 5 m DTM resolutions give more consistent results. Nevertheless, a reliable channel slope can be derived from a DTM with an appropriate resolution by choosing a suitable method only after considering the channel width.  相似文献

This paper proposes the construction of a genetic linkage map with 376 recombinant inbred lines (RILs) derived from a cross between Mesoamerican?×?Andean common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L) parents based on single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers; and to detect quantitative trait loci (QTLs) associated with seven morpho-agronomic traits: number of days to flowering (DF), number of days to maturity (DM) or crop cycle; plant architecture (ARC); seed yield (YLD); degree of seed flatness (SF); seed shape (SS); and 100-seed weight (SW). A total of 3060 polymorphic SNP markers were used and 2041 segregated at a 1:1 ratio in the RIL population, as expected. These markers were subjected to linkage analysis in each chromosome. The genetic linkage analysis resulted in linkage maps with a total of 1962 markers spanning 1079.21 cM. A total of 29 QTLs associated with seven morpho-agronomic traits were detected on the 11 chromosomes, which explained between 3.83 and 32.92% of the phenotypic variation in DF. A total of 18 candidate genes associated with the detected QTLs were identified and related with biological processes, molecular functions and cellular components.  相似文献

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) have emerged as a major threat to global health resulting in a decrease in life expectancy with respect to humans. Thrombosis is one of the foremost causes of CVDs, and it is characterized by the unwanted formation of fibrin clots. Recently, microbial fibrinolytic enzymes due to their specific features have gained much more attention than conventional thrombolytic agents for the treatment of thrombosis. Marine microorganisms including bacteria and microalgae have the significant ability to produce fibrinolytic enzymes with improved pharmacological properties and lesser side effects and, hence, are considered as prospective candidates for large scale production of these enzymes. There are no studies that have evaluated the fibrinolytic potential of marine fungal-derived enzymes. The current review presents an outline regarding isolation sources, production, features, and thrombolytic potential of fibrinolytic biocatalysts from marine microorganisms identified so far.  相似文献
