Fusarium head blight (FHB) is a devastating disease of important cereal crops resulting in significant yield loss and mycotoxin contamination. Persistent outbreaks of FHB in Europe and North America have led to various efforts to understand the mechanisms of resistance to this disease and mycotoxin biosynthesis. We studied the effect of a small volume of 7.2% hypertonic saline solution (HSS) or HSS with 6% dextran 70 (HSD) on hemodynamic status, especially on cardiac contractility, in anesthetized dogs using the left ventricular end-systolic volume index (ESVI) and ejection fraction (EF), which can be obtained in noninvasive echocardiography. In the present study, the mean values of ESVI were unaffected by HSS and HSD infusion, whereas the left ventricular end-diastolic volume index (EDVI) was markedly and significant increased. As a result of the changes in EDVI but not in ESVI, EF increased transiently and significantly in the HSS and HSD group, whereas no such significant change was observed in the dogs that received isotonic saline solution. In addition, as a result of the increases in cardiac index but not arterial pressure, system vascular resistances (SVR) decreased transiently and significantly in the HSS and HSD groups, whereas no such significant change was observed in the ISS group. Therefore, the positive inotropic effects of HSS and HSD may be attributable to the increase in left ventricular preload and decreases in SVR rather than direct changes in myocardial contractility. 相似文献

The structure and feeding group composition of collembolan communities were studied in secondary deciduous forests of different ages to investigate the collembolan community response to environmental changes associated with forest cycles. The study was carried out at eight sites forming a chronosequence (1, 4, 12, 24, 51, 54, 71 and 128 years after clear cutting) of deciduous forest stands in northern Ibaraki (Japan). Total collembolan density and species richness was low at the 1-year-old site, and there was little difference in density among sites over 4 years of age. The density of sucking feeders was especially low at the 1-year-old site. Species richness of trees of a diameter at breast height (DBH)<5 cm positively correlated with the density of fungal feeders. Species richness of total Collembolans and of sucking feeders correlated positively with the water content of the organic layer. Ordination of the collembolan community with Canonical Correspondence Analysis suggested that species richness of larger trees (DBH 5 cm) contributed to the differences in species composition of fungal feeders and sucking feeders. We conclude that total abundance and species richness of collembolans recovered within 4 years after clear-cutting, but species composition of fungal feeders and sucking feeders took longer to recover. 相似文献

在离体条件下,用蛋白质双向电泳技术分析水稻与稻瘟病菌在接触反应开始阶段的蛋白质变化情况,以寻找参与寄主与病原菌相互作用的蛋白质分子,结果表明在两个蛋白质与孢子或菌丝体混合后从电泳胶上消失,同时了出现了另外两个蛋白质,还没确定两个消失的蛋白质是被菌体细胞所吸附,还是由于被修饰而导致电泳行为改变。上述蛋白质在抗病和感病水稻品种中都存在,是组成型的,推测它们可能参与寄主与病原菌的接触反应,另外还发现,当悬浮培养的水稻细胞与稻瘟病菌的菌丝体蛋白质接触后会产生一些新的蛋白质分子,但孢子蛋白无此作用。由此推测水稻与稻瘟病菌的特异识别反应可能发生在孢子萌发之后和菌丝体阶段,以上结果在亲和与非亲和体系中相同。文中对此现象提出了初步解释,还介绍了一个在离体条件下研究寄主与病原菌的蛋白质-细胞相互作用的简单方法。 相似文献
