The aim of this study was to verify the effect of the energy source for a short‐term diet supplementation on follicular dynamics, ovarian response and oocyte recovery in goats. Thirty Anglo Nubian crossbred does received a diet for 4 weeks to satisfy the nutritional requirements of breeding for adult non‐dairy goats. Seven days prior to oocyte recovery (OR), a group of does (n = 10) was supplemented with ground full‐fat linseed in the diet (Diet A), whereas a second group of does (n = 10) received crude glycerine in the diet (Diet B). The total mixed ration (TMR) diet was maintained as the Control Diet (n = 10). All animals were oestrous‐synchronized by the use of a progesterone insert for 12 days prior to OR. Follicles were stimulated by using pFSH (five 40‐mg/ml doses) during the supplementation time. At OR, follicles were counted and recovered oocytes were classified as viable or degenerated. Follicular dynamics was monitored by ultrasonography, and plasma glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride levels were measured during supplementation. Glucose was higher in Diet B and cholesterol in Diet A. Diet B had a lower proportion of small (<3 mm) and large follicles (≥3 mm; p = 0.01). The follicular growth rate was higher in Diet A (p < 0.01), with follicles emerging in the 5th day of supplementation. No differences were observed for follicles counted and oocytes recovered. Thus, the type of energy source supplemented for a short term was capable to alter the follicular dynamics, without affecting the proportion of morphologically viable oocytes upon recovery. 相似文献

Methotrexate may be an alternative to ciclosporin in the treatment of canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) as suggested by recent data. The aim of the study was to investigate both the tolerance and the pharmacokinetic behavior of methotrexate (MTX) in plasma, following intravenous (i.v.), subcutaneous (s.c.) or oral (OR) administration over several weeks. Six healthy dogs were given oral MTX once a week, respectively, per dog at 2.5 mg/1 week, 5 mg/4 weeks, 7.5 mg/3 weeks, 10 mg/6 weeks and 12.5 mg/5 weeks. No clinically relevant abnormalities of laboratory parameters were noticed. A high inter‐individual variation of MTX plasma concentration was observed with a suspicion of saturation phenomenon in absorption. To compare with other routes of administration, six healthy beagle dogs followed a crossover design study at 7.5 mg per dog MTX. The absolute bioavailability was 93% for SC injection and 30% for the oral route. The inter‐individual variability was quite low following SC administration compared to oral route. Just as in human, given the substantial variability of oral absorption, clinicians cannot assume consistent oral bioavailability of MTX. Therefore, they may consider switching dogs to the SC route in case of absence of clinical response with a weekly oral dose. 相似文献

Crenosoma vulpis is a nematode lungworm found in wild and domestic canids in some parts of North America and Europe. Reported radiographic findings are nonspecific and consist of a combination of bronchial and interstitial changes of variable severity. This retrospective, case series study aimed to describe thoracic computed tomographic (CT) findings for a group of dogs with confirmed crenosomosis. Selection criteria were presentation with a chronic cough during the period of January 2016 to February 2017, evaluation by thoracic CT, and final diagnosis of C. vulpis infection based on bronchoscopic findings, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid analysis, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Medical records and CT images were retrieved and reviewed by a board‐certified veterinary internist, a veterinary internal medicine resident, two board‐certified veterinary radiologists, and a veterinary radiology intern, and findings were recorded. Three dogs met inclusion criteria. Thoracic CT findings for all dogs included the following: diffuse bronchial wall thickening, multifocal peribronchial ground glass attenuation, consolidation of the pulmonary parenchyma, and cylindrical bronchiectasis. In two dogs, the bronchial wall thickening was irregular to nodular, which was consistent with the bronchoscopic findings. Two dogs showed pulmonary parenchymal bands. Thoracic computed tomographic changes in dogs with C. vulpis are consistent with those seen on thoracic radiographs and crenosomosis should be considered in dogs with these findings. 相似文献

Aufgrund intensiver landwirtschaftlicher Nutzung unterliegen Niedermoore gravierenden Struktur‐ und Funktionsveränderungen. Mineralisierung führt zur Abnahme des Gehaltes an organischer Bodensubstanz bis zum vollständigen Verzehr des Torfkörpers und damit zur Entstehung von Folgeböden. Dabei erlangen die unterschiedlichen Untergrundsubstrate, Mudden und mineralische Substrate unterschiedlicher Korngrößenzusammensetzung, immer größeren Einfluß auf die Ausprägung der neu entstehenden Bodentypen. Aus Mudden hervorgehende organische Folgeböden sind teilweise als vollkommen neue Bodensubstrate anzusehen, deren Eigenschaften wenig erforscht sind. Für die aus mineralisch unterlagerten Mooren entstehenden Folgeböden ist die Entwicklung zu Anmooren und Humussanden bekannt, jedoch noch nicht näher untersucht. Es werden erste Ergebnisse von Untersuchungen zu Bodenkennwerten dieser Böden vorgestellt. Mit welcher Entstehung von Bodentypen zu rechnen ist und welche Faktoren in diesem Prozeß von Bedeutung sind, wird abgeleitet. Mögliche Nutzungsperspektiven, die sich in Nutzungs‐ und Entwicklungskonzepte für Niedermoore eingliedern, werden aufgezeigt. 相似文献

Metacommunity theory is a new approach for explaining how local and regional processes contribute to community organisation and integrative studies are needed to fully characterise the processes underlying its structure and function. We analysed, through variation partitioning and distance decay relationships, how metacommunities of fish in pools of intermittent rivers are structured by environmental, species interaction and spatial factors. The results indicate that both species sorting and dispersal limitation (spatial factors) were important in shaping fish metacommunities. Species sorting was the most influential driver within fish metacommunities, but predation was much less relevant and did not show any pure effect in metacommunity structure. However, environmental factors were determinant among metacommunity patches. 相似文献
