In der Agrarlandschaft der Uckermark wurden auf Schlägen eines viehlos wirtschaftenden Marktfruchtbetriebes und eines Betriebes mit kombinierter Pflanzen‐ und Tierproduktion der Einfluß pflanzen‐ und düngungsspezifischer Wirkungen auf mikrobielle Aktivitäten und Mikroorganismenpopulationen im Boden und im Rhizophärenraum von Kultur‐ und Wildpflanzen untersucht und in Verbindung mit Feldversuchsergebnissen ausgewertet. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, daß Kultur‐ und Wildpflanzen insbesondere im Jugendstadium und zur Hauptvegetation auf unterschieldlichen Böden und bei differenzierter Bewirtschaftung in ihrem Rhizosphärenraum die Mikroflóra und die allgemeinen mikro‐biellen Aktivitäten unterschiedlich beeinflussen können. Beim N‐Umsatz im Boden (Ammonifikation, Nitrifikation) zeichneten sich keine bewirtschaftungsbedingten Unterschiede ab. Marigold (Tagetes erecta L. cv. ‘Discovery Yellow’, “Perfection Yellow’, ‘Inca Yellow’, and ‘Merrymum Yellow') were grown in aluminum (Al) solution culture concentrations of 0, 1, or 4 mg/L. Aluminum increased root length and weight, but had no effect on stem and leaf weight. Uptake and stem and leaf tissue nutrient concentration of phosphorus (P), calcium (Ca), and magnesium (Mg) were reduced by the Al treatments. The Al treatments increased stem and leaf concentrations of potassium (K) and decreased the concentrations of manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), and zinc (Zn). No typical Al‐toxicity symptoms were observed in the roots. Root stunting caused by Fe toxicity was alleviated by the Al treatments. 相似文献

Equine herpesvirus myeloencephalitis (EHM) remains one of the most devastating manifestations of equine herpesvirus type 1 (EHV-1) infection but our understanding of its pathogenesis remains rudimentary, partly because of a lack of adequate experimental models. EHV-1 infection of the ocular vasculature may offer an alternative model as EHV-1-induced chorioretinopathy appears to occur in a significant number of horses, and the pathogenesis of EHM and ocular EHV-1 may be similar. To investigate the potential of ocular EHV-1 as a model for EHM, and to determine the frequency of ocular EHV-1, our goal was to study: (1) Dissemination of virus following acute infection, (2) Development and frequency of ocular lesions following infection, and (3) Utility of a GFP-expressing virus for localization of the virus in vivo. Viral antigen could be detected following acute infection in ocular tissues and the central nervous system (experiment 1). Furthermore, EHV-1 infection resulted in multifocal choroidal lesions in 90% (experiment 2) and 50% (experiment 3) of experimentally infected horses, however ocular lesions did not appear in vivo until between 3 weeks and 3 months post-infection. Taken together, the timing of the appearance of lesions and their ophthalmoscopic features suggest that their pathogenesis may involve ischemic injury to the chorioretina following viremic delivery of virus to the eye, mirroring the vascular events that result in EHM. In summary, we show that the frequency of ocular EHV-1 is 50-90% following experimental infection making this model attractive for testing future vaccines or therapeutics in an immunologically relevant age group. 相似文献

Genetic transformation systems require protocols that allow regenerating transgenic plants from transformed tissues. This study aimed to establish a protocol for indirect organogenesis in leaf explants of a Eucalyptus grandis × E. urophylla AEC 224 clone. During callogenesis stage, several concentrations of NAA and then NAA or 2,4-D combined with TDZ were tested in JADS culture medium for 30 days, followed by subculture of the explants in the regeneration medium, containing 5.0 µM BA and 0.5 µM NAA for another 30 days. In these media, the explant oxidation rate was high (95 %). Thus, in order to reduce oxidation, different culture media were compared: WPM, MS, JADS and modified QL, followed by explant transfer onto regeneration medium. The highest percentage of regeneration and the lowest oxidation rate were achieved on WPM medium. Then, NAA and 2,4-D were tested in combination with TDZ and also TDZ and BA combined with NAA in WPM medium. The most efficient culture media in terms of shoot regeneration were WPM supplemented with 0.25 µM TDZ and 0.1 µM NAA during 30 days for callus induction and then with 5.0 µM BA and 0.5 µM NAA for another 30 days. This protocol yielded a regeneration rate of 43 %, with a low oxidation of tissues. A rooting experiment was conducted using half strength MS medium and comparing three concentrations of IBA (2.46, 4.90 and 7.35 µM). The highest rooting percentage (35 %) was obtained on medium containing 2.46 µM IBA. Once the shoots were rooted, acclimatization in a greenhouse was not challenging and plant survival reached 100 %. 相似文献

This study investigates the dimensional stability and mechanical properties of plywood boards made of thermally modified and unmodified beech veneers that have undergone plasma pre-treatment before melamine resin impregnation. The water and melamine resin uptake and resulting weight percent gain of the veneers were investigated, whereby the air plasma pre-treated veneers showed improved liquid uptake. Five-layer plywood boards were then manufactured and tested for their dimensional stability, compressive strength, bending strength, and tensile strength. Plywood boards made of thermally modified and plasma pre-treated veneers showed a significantly improved dimensional stability, along with small influences on their mechanical properties. 相似文献

Effect of pore water pressure on tensile strength Direct tensile testing with measurements of the pore water suction was used to investigate the relationship between tensile strength and suction. The tests were conducted on a till and a clayey soil, both homogenized. A closer view is focused on the relationship between material strain and the development of suction. Beyond, the factor χ of the effective stress equation for unsaturated soils by Bishop (1959), which was calculated by the data of tensile strength and corresponding matric suction is compared to the volumetric χ of the tested soil specimens. It could be shown, that the pore water pressure changes with strain. Therefore, not the initial suction of a soil is relevant for its failure but the actual one that can be measured in the failure zone at the moment of fracture. In addition the application of the volumetric χ in the effective stress equation compared to the χ derived from tensile testing leads to an 1.6 to 2.8 fold overestimation of the contribution of matric suction to soil tensile strength. 相似文献
