利用第五次全国资源清查的部分数据,在我国亚热带东部地区构造了一条以温度为主要驱动的,长约750km、宽约100km,地跨安徽、江西、浙江、福建、广东五省的平行四边形样带,通过对样带内863块样地的胸径变异系数和有关林分因子、环境因子之间的相关分析,确定了不同因子对林分结构的影响程度,其中,林分的平均胸径对林分结构的影响最显著,林分密度、海拔高度、坡度、经纬度、土壤厚度等对林分结构也有影响。这些因子最多能够解释整个样带林分结构变化的35%。  相似文献

在相同立地类型组的白桦幼、中和成熟林中各取土壤剖面3 ̄4块,分别于6、8、10月进行根际取样化验,以研究白桦和红松根际部土壤养分的林龄分布及季节动态。结果表明:白桦红松林中,白桦与红松根际土壤养分具有互补性特征;根际土壤pH环境趋向酸碱平衡过程;根际土壤养分、pH植林龄分布和动态过程中,中龄林起承上启下转换作用。  相似文献

林木直径分布是林分测量和开展森林经营活动最基础的信息。由于受多种因素影响,不同森林类型、立地条件,其直径分布型有较大差异。本次研究以六盘山林场3种主要的森林类型的调查数据为基础,有针对性选择了7种直径分布函数(负指数函数、限定线函数、倒J形对数函数、威布尔函数、幂指数函数、逻辑斯特分布函数和正态分布函数)进行模拟和检验,发现这3种主要森林类型的直径分布都呈现出对称分布的趋势,但略有不同:华北落叶松林对称分布趋势最强,椴、栎混交林同时呈现出递减分布的趋势,桦树混交林对称分布趋势不强,但同时也未呈现递减趋势。  相似文献

对2~6年生史密斯桉的叶片、树枝、树根、树干、树皮5个部位进行灰分、热值、挥发分和固定碳测定。结果表明:不同林龄史密斯桉5个部位的灰分含量在0.41%~5.48%,以叶片、树皮的较高而树干的最低;干质量热值与去灰分热值分别介于16.53~22.60 kJ/g与17.48~23.81 kJ/g,均以叶片的值最高、树皮的最低,树枝、树根、树干介于二者之间;挥发分含量为68.35%~85.65%,均以树干的含量最高、树皮的最低;固定碳含量在13.95%~27.13%,以树皮的含量较高、树干的最低。5个部位林龄间的灰分、干质量热值、去灰分热值、挥发分与固定碳差异程度不同,按林龄排序结果均无一相同,未呈现随林龄增长而各测试指标数值明显变化的规律。相关分析表明,林龄与植株体灰分含量呈显著负相关(p<0.05),与植株体干质量热值、去灰分热值、挥发分、固定碳的相关性不显著(p>0.05)。  相似文献

Age determination of tropical trees, and monocotyledons in general, is not an easy task. Representatives of the Dracaena genus have survived in woodlands on dry margins of the Tethys tropical forest since the Tertiary Period. Here we present analyses of Dracaena cinnabari (DC) stand dynamics via direct and indirect methods of age determination. The direct method has taken advantage of historical photographs of DC mountain woodlands from Soqotra during an Austrian scientific expedition in 1899 by comparing these with the woodland stage in 2004. A decline in the number of tree individuals is obvious, but considering the little that is known about dynamics of DC woodland, one cannot simply state that such decline means forest destruction. The results from this direct method are compared to an indirect mathematical method of age determination using data from 2003. Indirect age determination values differed only about 6.5% from those obtained with the direct method, indicating that the indirect methodology is quite precise.  相似文献

Row covering with polyethylene film (plastic mulching) is a common practice for improving emergence, plant growth and yield of cotton in China. This is usually applied after sowing (conventional mulching, CM), but pre-sowing evaporation in spring would cause accumulation of salts and moisture loss in the surface layer of saline soils. Two experiments were conducted in Yellow River delta from 2004 to 2005 and during 2006, respectively to determine if row covering with plastic film 30 d before sowing (early mulching, EM) supports better productivity of cotton than CM in saline fields. In the first experiment, we studied the effects of EM versus CM and no-mulching (NM), on soil microclimate, seedling physiology, cotton yield and earliness. The second experiment was conducted in seven sites to compare cotton yield between the two mulching systems. Results from the first experiment showed that both EM and CM could effectively improve stand establishment, plant growth, earliness and lint yield of cotton relative to NM control. However, compared with CM, EM increased stand establishment rate by 11.4% and plant biomass by 9.9% and lint yield by 7.1%. EM, relative to CM and NM, increased the photosynthesis (Pn) rate 6.8% and decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration 7.4% and Na+ level 8%. These improvements were due mainly to delayed accumulation of salts, elevation of soil temperature and reduction of moisture loss with EM. The revenue from EM was higher than that from CM and NM, suggesting the increased yield by EM was enough compensate for additional costs. The multi-site experiment in 2006 showed that the yield advantage of EM over CM was not significant in two sites with lower salinity (ECe = ∼6 dS/m), but substantial (from 9 to 14%) in five sites with higher salinity (ECe = 10–12 dS/m). The overall results suggest that EM is a promising cotton production technique in the saline Yellow River Delta and other cotton-growing areas with similar ecologies.  相似文献

Jack pine (Pinus banksiana) forests in parts of northern Lower Michigan have been managed with 30 years of extensive clearcut harvesting followed by planted stand establishment in order to maintain habitat for the endangered Kirtland's warbler (Dendroica kirtlandii). We used two, parallel chronosequences to study how this management has affected the structural development of jack pine stands relative to the historically dominant disturbance regime of stand-replacing wildfire. Each chronosequence consisted of three young stands (age range 3–6 years), three intermediate-aged stands (age range of 12–17 years) and three mature stands (age range of 39–69 years). Average stem density in young plantations (2300 stems/ha) was lower than the average for young, fire-origin stands (11,000) and varied over a much narrower range among stands (1403–2667 for plantations and 1552–24,192 in fire stands). In addition, within-stand patchiness of stem density was also much higher in the wildfire sites for young and intermediate ages. Plantation sites possessed very little dead wood at young ages (averaging 3 snags/ha and 12 m3/ha CWD) compared to young fire-origin stands (averaging 252 snags/ha and 49 m3/ha CWD). In contrast, mature plantations had similar levels of dead wood (averaging 269 snags/ha and 22 m3/ha CWD) as mature fire-origin stands (averaging 557 snags/ha and 12 m3/ha CWD). Differences between the plantation and fire-origin chronosequences were driven mainly by young- and intermediate-aged stands, whereas mature stands were typically quite similar in all structural features. Our results show clearly that forest management aimed at preserving and enhancing the population of a single endangered species results in greatly simplified habitat structure at the stand level, and suggest that this simplification is perpetuated across the landscape as well. Of particular concern are the effects of extensive harvesting and planting on the availability of snags and CWD.  相似文献

Stand-level planning of lodgepole pine management can benefit from the use of mountain pine beetle susceptibility-risk model analyses to assign treatment priority. Priority is currently assigned based solely on relative levels of expected volume loss in the event of a mountain pine beetle outbreak. We evaluated the possibility to predict the relative contribution of brood beetles, by infested stands, to the next beetle generation. Existing data were used to develop generalized parameters for inclusion in predictive models of stand-level mortality and brood production. Model output for independent stands achieved a highly significant relationship with measured outcomes of brood productivity, indicating that relative levels of brood production can be predicted and incorporated into decision-models.  相似文献

Site quality index (SQI) of trembling aspen (Populus tremuloides Michx) in the Boreal Shield of Quebec was predicted using two sources of information: (1) mappable permanent site variables derived from permanent sampling plots and other sources and (2) measured soil and site properties including both biological and permanent site variables. General mappable information did not produce reasonable relationships (R2 < 0.25) with SQI while measured variables were able to explain much of trembling aspen SQI variability. For the two parent material types found in our study, i.e. fluvial and till, there was no difference between median SQI values between groups. However, different soil and site variables were better at predicting trembling aspen productivity for the individual parent material types. As much as 60% of the variability in trembling aspen productivity was explained when both biological and permanent site variables were considered in stepwise regression models. When treated individually, models developed for fluvial sites better explained trembling aspen productivity compared to models developed for till sites. Moreover, the ability of the model to predict trembling aspen productivity on till sites when using permanent site variables alone, e.g. soil texture, elemental chemistry and elevation was decreased (R2 < 0.3). This indicates that the inclusion of biological site variables such as overstory species composition and forest floor properties provide a major contribution to SQI prediction and are necessary to yield high R2. Overall, the data indicate that the traditional mapping of landscape attributes such as drainage and deposit as well as inferred soil geochemistry do not contribute much to explaining SQI. At present, field measurements are needed to predict SQI with a reasonable degree of precision within a forest management unit.  相似文献
