Protection by iron salts against sporidesmin intoxication in sheep

A number of iron compounds have been shown to protect sheep against the harmful effects of the facial eczema toxin, sporidesmin. Various salts were found to be effective; the oxidation state of the metal was not important although water-solubility did appear to be a prerequisite for prophylactic activity. The effect of iron salts was additive with that of zinc, and it is suggested that the protective action of these compounds results from their ability to inhibit the absorption of copper, consistent with the previously-proposed freeradical mechanism for sporidesmin toxicity.  相似文献

[目的]为弄清不同处理方式对蔗梢营养品质的影响,为科学利用甘蔗梢提供依据。[方法]采用切碎、直接青贮、添加0.6%尿素青贮和添加0.7 mL/kg EM青贮的不同方式处理蔗梢,青贮60 d后测定其pH值、常规营养成分、纤维成分和能量含量。[结果]1）直接青贮与添加尿素或EM青贮,青贮饲料感官评定均属优质青贮料。2）与鲜蔗梢相比,直接青贮可提高蔗梢的EE含量（P〈0.01）,但降低了CP（P〈0.01）、Ca（P〉0.05）和P（P〈0.01）的含量。3）与直接青贮蔗梢相比,添加尿素和EM青贮均显著提高了蔗梢的CP、EE、Ca和P（P〈0.01）含量。4）不同方式处理蔗梢的主要纤维成分之间没有显著差异（P〉0.01）。5）直接青贮、尿素青贮和微贮三种方式均可提高蔗梢的能量含量,且添加尿素和EM青贮的提高幅度更大（P〈0.01）。[结论]直接青贮对提高蔗梢的营养价值意义不大,但在青贮过程中添加尿素或EM均可改善青贮甘蔗梢品质,提高其营养价值。  相似文献

Current accounting standards and systems do not include the accounting of forest ecological assets.With the increasing attention that people pay to forest ecological issues and the needs for accounting information disclosure,its value accounting has become a forefront issue and hot topic in the accounting profession.The profound issues about its particularities,accounting recognition and measurements are to be solved. Based on the analysis of the features of forest ecological assets and its impacts on accounting recognition and measurement,this paper proposes that accounting recognition should be based on the appraisal and a fair value model is suggested for initial and further measurement of forest ecological assets.For the fair value measurement, the appraisal techniques of non-market values should be given more consideration.And its value appraisal methods should refer to the existing mature ecological economic or environmental economic appraisal methods.  相似文献

Combining field and control team assessments to obtain error estimates for surveys of crown condition

Three field teams undertook a survey of crown transparency in Switzerland in 1993. A fourth team (control) also visited a subset of the trees that had already been visited by the field teams and reported estimates for the same. The problem of estimating the proportion (P_c) of trees with total crown transparency at least equal to a (fixed) level c is addressed. The method assumes that the control team estimate is an unbiased estimate of P_c and therefore if the expected difference between a field team estimate and the control team estimate is non‐zero then the field team estimate is biased. This assumption is most likely to be met in those countries or areas where the control team consists of the instructors. When this assumption cannot be met, as long as the bias of the control team remains the same over the years, the estimates of P_c from different years can still be used to study, for example, whether there is any temporal trend in P_c . A weighted average of the bias‐corrected field team estimates is used to determine the confidence limits. The method is applied to the Swiss national forest damage inventory data from the year 1993. The same approach can also be taken for estimating the proportion of cases where a random variable X, qualitative (such as the social position of a tree) or quantitative (such as the diameter of a tree at breast height), assumes values in a particular set.  相似文献
