Cultivars of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) capable of yielding well at low levels of native or added phosphorus (P) are highly desirable in many tropical production systems. The objective of the present study was to identify geographical regions which might be sources of such genotypes. A total of 364 landraces, cultivars and wild genotypes, drawn from a broad geographic range, were divided on the basis of growth habit into four field trials, each comprising two levels of P, stressed and unstressed, on an infertile Andosol in Popayan, Colombia. The regression relationship between grain yield per plant in the presence and in the absence of stress was determined, and each genotype's deviation from this relationship was used as a measure of P-efficiency. There was highly significant variation in efficiency among genotypes in all growth habits, and in climbing beans there were consistent regional differences, superior genotypes being identified with greater frequency among those from Bolivia, West Mexico and South Mexico-West Guatemala. The latter region was promising for prostrate bush genotypes also. Wild beans in general performed relatively poorly; it appears that P-efficiency traits in P. vulgaris have been acquired during or after domestication. These results confirm that genetic differences in P-efficiency exist among common bean genotypes and suggest that these are related to geographic origin. Furthermore, the use of a representative sample of germplasm can help to identify segments of the gene bank that are especially promising as sources of desirable traits. Handcrosses were made in a factorial manner with 24 Vicia faba inbred lines m three sets, each between four male and four female parents. The resulting 48 hybrids, their parental inbreds and three commercial varieties were grown in performance trials during the years 1985—87 with three replications at one location. Yield and yield components were recorded on single plant basis. The average superiority of the hybrids above the control varieties was 26 % in plant yield. The best crosses outyielded the controls by more than 50 %. However, a few inbred lines also reached, the yield level of the controls. The average heterosis was significant for all characters except for maturity date. In plant yield the average heterosis was 75%, ranging between 34% and 148% in the various cross combinations. The highest average heterosis of 110 % was observed in yield at the lateral stems. In all characters the best inbreds were superior to the lower hybrids and in some characters even equal to the average of the hybrids. A strong positive relationship was found for all characters between hybrid performance and mid-parent value and between the per se performance of the inbreds and their general combining ability. Genotypic differences between the hybrids as well as between the inbreds were highly significant. Most of the variability between the hybrids in all characters were attributed to general combining, ability with only little evidence for specific combining ability. In the discussion the results are evaluated according to the choice of the breeding category of the partial allogamous faba bean species.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were (1) to ascertain the genetic differences for cold-tolerance traits in a series of diallel crosses among 12 maize populations grown in field experiments, and (2) to compare, in controlled environment rooms, the modification of various metabolic parameters of two sets of four F1 variety crosses which, according to the field experiments, differed largely in seedling early vigour (cold-tolerant [Ct] vs cold-sensitive [Cs] Fl sets). Under field conditions, cold-tolerance adaptability, as monitored by shoot dry matter accumulation, appeared genetically controlled; moreover, considerable differences existed among genotypes. Field data suggested that shoot dry weight was a good indicator of plant adaptability to periods of unfavorable cool conditions. The growth-chamber experiments showed that shoot dry weights of the two sets of hybrids (Ct vs Cs), were more uniform at the highest temperature regimes than under suboptimal temperatures. Moreover, the laboratory study indicated that the interval of time of attain a specific stage of development provided a meaningful and useful criterion for differentiating the capacity of maize plants to grow at low temperatures. Although a clear association between a particular metabolite and the capacity of plants to grow at low temperatures was not observed, it was of interest to note that the total N concentration in the shoot was significantly higher in the Ct plants compared to the Cs ones.  相似文献

Effectivness of the hybrid-weakness caused by a complementary interaction of two dominant genes Hwc1 and Hwc2 to suppress the spread of the red-grain gene into ordinary white-grained rice cultivars was investigated using the Monte Carlo computer simulation method. It was shown that the weakness genes, as far as being capable of reducing the fitness of the carrier by 80 percent or more, work quite effectively to suppress the genetic contamination of white-grained cultivars due to inflow of pollen from red-grained cultivars due to inflow of pollen from red-grain gene once the gene has been incorporated in to the population in the form of red-grained progeny produced as a result of the imperfect lethality of the initial hybrid between red-and white-grained cultivars. The weakness genes have little or no effect cultivars. The weakness genes have little or no effect either, when the contamination is initiated by an inflow of seeds or seedlings from ed-grained cultivars in these situations, removal (selection)of red grained plants Is the only countermeasure to exterminate the red-grain gene. The removal of red grained plants need not be intensive if carried out continuously. The spread of the red-grain gene after initial contamination is suppressed if the red-grain gene and weakness genes are linked. The suppressing effect of the linkage, however, is not substantial when the outcrossing rate is around or smaller than 0.01 as can be assumed in most rice cultivars.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to elucidate the genetic cause for the lack of express ion of the gene Ht2 against Exserohilum turcicum race 2 on certain genetic backgrounds related to the inbred line B14. Two such inbreds (A635Rp and B59), susceptible to this pathogen were crossed onto the inbred Oh43—-Ht2Ht2. The following generations: F1, F2, F3, F4, backcrosses to both parents, selfings of the backcrosses, in addition to the parent lines, were evaluated for Ht2 expression in this study. Plants of each generation were inoculated with E. turcicum race 2 and evaluated for the expression of the chlorotic-lesion resistance determined by the gene Ht2. In spite of the reported dominance of Ht2 on some genetic backgrounds, the F1 generations studied here did not show Ht2 resistant lesions. The data presented herein suggest that B14 and related inbred lines carry a dominant gene(I) that inhibits the expression of the Ht2 gene. Chi-square analyses of the reactions of 108 progeny families studied supported this hypothesis.  相似文献

Summary Twenty isolates taken at random from indigenous populations of Rhizobium leguminosarum sampled near Aberystwyth were each inoculated into plants of a standard Vicia faba variety grown aseptically under conditions free of combined nitrogen. Plants in association with the individual rhizobium isolates exhibited large differences in dry matter yield, nitrogen content, efficiency of nitrogen utilization and date of first flower. The implications of these differences to the productivity and reliability of varieties of field beans are discussed.  相似文献

在QTL定位的基础上选取猪解偶联蛋白3(UCP3)作为控制脂肪沉积性状和肉质性状的候选基因。对猪UCP3基因的部分编码区进行了测序,在395 bp处发现了1个cSNP位点。该cSNP位点发生G→A突变,并导致相应编码氨基酸由甘氨酸→精氨酸的改变。该位点可以被限制性内切酶SmaⅠ识别。利用PCR-RFLP方法,对186头大白×梅山F2资源家系进行UCP3片段SmaⅠ位点分析,发现AA、AB和BB三种基因型,其中A等位基因频率0.56,B 0.44。经统计分析发现,在该F2群体中,UCP3 SmaⅠ位点多态性与脂肪沉积性状中胸腰椎间膘厚、臀部膘厚显著相关;与肉质性状中的肌内脂肪、系水力和失水率显著相关。UCP3 SmaⅠ位点主要表现为加性效应,基因型AA降低膘厚,提高系水力和降低失水率,但同时也降低肌内脂肪含量。  相似文献

传统的齿轮强度理论不考虑齿间摩擦的影响。针对这一观点,该文以渐开线斜齿圆柱齿轮传动的小齿轮齿数、法面模数、螺旋角、齿宽系数为设计变量,以两齿轮的体积之和为最小目标函数,通过应用模糊设计理论和可靠性设计理论,建立摩擦力作用下标准斜齿圆柱齿轮传动的模糊可靠性优化设计的数学模型,并采用遗传算法对其进行优化。研究表明,效果很好。  相似文献

以黄瓜(Cucumis sativus L.)欧洲八号×秋棚为亲本构建的重组自交系(RIL)群体为材料,以病情指数为指标,对群体和亲本进行了小西葫芦(Cucurbitapepo L.)黄化花叶病毒(Zucchini yellow mosaic virus,ZYMV)、番木瓜环斑病毒西瓜株系(Papaya ringspot virus watermelon strain,PRSV-W)和西瓜花叶病毒(Watermelon mosaic virus,WMV)的抗病性鉴定.结果表明3种病毒的病情指数在黄瓜RIL群体呈双峰分布,表明对ZYMV、PRSV-W和WMV的抗性是受主基因控制的性状.利用Joinmap软件进行连锁分析,发现ZYMV和PRSV-W与WMV连锁,3个抗病基因的排列顺序和遗传距离是WMV-6cM-ZYMV-7cM-PRSV-W.根据AFLP、SSR和RAPD标记结果构建了一个黄瓜遗传图谱,3个抗病毒病基因被定位于第二连锁群.  相似文献

为了计算得到曲轴动态特性参数,并使用模态贡献因子理论对动态特性进行研究,基于研究结果能够更加有效的实现曲轴结构参数的优化,首先基于多体动力学理论建立了某V12型曲轴的刚柔耦合多体动力学模型。基于模态贡献因子理论对曲轴动态特性进行分析,将前15阶模态缩聚为前5阶模态以减少计算规模,最大应力值的误差为0.9%,扭振角位移的误差为0.16%。利用BP(back propagation)神经网络建立了曲轴动静特性与结构参数之间的数学模型,进行了最大应力值和扭振角位移的线性回归,其输出响应的复相关系数都在0.95以上,表明此网络的泛化能力和预测性能都很好。对神经网络建立的数学模型使用遗传算法进行优化,优化后此曲轴的扭振角位移减小了2.63%,最大应力值减小了3.98%。结果表明神经网络结合遗传算法的优化方法对曲轴结构参数的动态特性和静态特性的联合优化能够满足设计预期,并且具有高效性和可行性。  相似文献
