采用 E- 3b R花环试验 ,E- IC花环试验对饲喂 0 .5 %泻痢康 2 0 d的实验鸡和对照鸡的红细胞的免疫功能进行检测。结果发现 ,试验组和对照组鸡红细胞 C3b R致敏酵母花环率分别为 ( 4 .91± 1 .85 )与 ( 4 .31± 0 .6 4 ) ;试验组和对照组鸡红细胞未致敏酵母花环率分别为 ( 1 6 .5 0± 4.5 6 )与 ( 7.2 6± 2 .6 1 )。试验结果表明使用泻痢康饲喂鸡 ,不仅可有效地减少鸡下痢 ,而且可使鸡红细胞 C3b受体花环率增高 ,增强红细胞的免疫功能。 相似文献

The growth of the reindeer from birth to adulthood is cumulative consisting of a rapid weight accretion during summers followed by a weight loss or stasis during winters. The birth weight of the newborn calves is about 5.3 kg. The peri- and neonatal growth rate is rather high, with a greatest individual daily weight gain as high as 400 g. The polynomial growth curve and its first order time derivative of calves show a deceleration of weight gain towards the autumn. The weight of calves at an age of 10 months was 36 to 40 kg. Adult body weight is reached by females at an age of 3 to 4 years and by males on average a year later. Serum alkaline phosphatase activity showed a negative linear correlation with age and weight in calves and it was highest both in calves and adults in summer. The creatine Phosphokinase activity in both calves and adults was higher in summer than in other seasons. Serum inorganic phosphorus was highest in the growing calves. On the other hand serum thyroxine (T4), blood glucose and calcium did not show significant age-dependent or seasonal variations. 相似文献

Kidneys are the main organs regulating water-electrolyte homeostasis in the body. They are responsible for maintaining the total volume of water and its distribution in particular water spaces, for electrolyte composition of systemic fluids and also for maintaining acid-base balance. These functions are performed by the plasma filtration process in renal glomeruli and the processes of active absorption and secretion in renal tubules, all adjusted to an 'activity-rest' rhythm. These diurnal changes are influenced by a 24-hour cycle of activity of hormones engaged in the regulation of renal activity. Studies on spontaneous rhythms of renal activity have been carried out mainly on humans and laboratory animals, but few studies have been carried out on livestock animals. Moreover, those results cover only some aspects of renal physiology. This review gives an overview of current knowledge concerning renal function and diurnal variations of some renal activity parameters in livestock, providing greater understanding of general chronobiological processes in mammals. Detailed knowledge of these rhythms is useful for clinical, practical and pharmacological purposes, as well as studies on their physical performance. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Blood samples collected from farm animals for hematology testing may not reach the laboratory or be examined immediately upon collection, and in some cases may need to be transported for hours before reaching a laboratory. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to investigate the artifactual changes that may occur in PCV, hemoglobin (Hgb) concentration, and cell counts in bovine, caprine, and porcine blood samples stored at room (30 degrees C) or refrigerator (5 degrees C) temperature. METHODS: Baseline values for PCV, Hgb concentration, and RBC and WBC counts were determined immediately after blood collection from 36 cattle, 32 goats, and 48 pigs using manual techniques. Blood samples were split into 2 aliquots and stored at 30 degrees C or 5 degrees C. Hematologic analyses were carried out at specified intervals during 120 hours of storage. Results were analyzed by repeated measure ANOVA; results at different temperatures were compared by paired t-tests. RESULTS: Compared to baseline values, there were no significant changes in Hgb concentration, RBC count, or WBC count in samples from cattle; in Hgb concentration and RBC count in samples from goats; and in Hgb concentration and WBC count in samples from pigs throughout the 120 hours of storage at both 30 degrees C and 5 degrees C. Significant changes (P <.05) from baseline occurred in PCV after 14 hours of storage at 30 degrees C and after 19 hours of storage at 5 degrees C in cattle and goats; and after 10 hours of storage at 30 degrees C and 14 hours of storage at 5 degrees C in pigs. Significant changes also were observed in Hgb concentration at 96 hours at 30 degrees C and 5 degrees C, and in RBC counts at 48 hours at 30 degrees C and 96 hours at 5 degrees C in porcine samples; and in total WBC counts at 120 hours at 30 degrees C and 5 degrees C in caprine samples. Artifactual changes were more pronounced in the samples stored at 30 degrees C. CONCLUSIONS: At both 30 degrees C and 5 degrees C, blood samples from cattle and goats can be stored for up to 12 hours, while blood samples from pigs can be stored for up to 8 hours without any significant changes in PCV. Blood samples from all 3 species can be stored for more than 24 hours without significant changes in Hgb concentration, RBC count, and total WBC count. 相似文献

To obtain blood biochemical basic data of Japanese Black breeding cows in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan, blood samples were obtained from 857 clinically healthy multiparous cows on 71 farms. Cows were divided into three stages: the prepartum stage (between 20 and 80 days before parturition, n=290), lactation stage (between 20 and 80 days after parturition, n=283) and maintenance stage (between 120 and 200 days after parturition, n=284). The mean concentration of total protein and total cholesterol, and the mean activities of aspartate aminotransferase in the lactation stage tended to be higher than those in the prepartum and maintenance stages. The mean concentration of glucose in the prepartum stage tended to be lower than that in the lactation and the maintenance stages. The mean concentration of nonesterified fatty acids and beta-hydroxybutyrate in the prepartum stage tended to be higher than those in the lactation and maintenance stages. retinol was approximately 30 µg/dl in all stages. Recently, hyperbaric oxygen therapy with a lower pressure and oxygen concentration
(L-HBOT) than previous methods has been used for dogs in Japan; however, the influences of
L-HBOT on dogs have not been clarified. To verify the influences of L-HBOT on
physiological mechanism in dogs, we investigated blood gas parameters, glutathione
peroxidase (GPx) activity, heart rate variability, stress-related hormones and skin
conductance (SC) in 4 clinically normal beagle dogs with catheters in their carotid
arteries and jugular veins when they were quiet, after running, after receiving L-HBOT
(30% oxygen concentration, 1.3 atmospheres absolute, 30 min) or after not receiving
L-HBOT. The results showed there were no changes in blood gas parameters, heart rate
variability and catecholamine levels after L-HBOT. GPx activity was significantly higher,
and the SC and cortisol level were lower in dogs that received L-HBOT than those when they
were quiet. These results suggested that L-HBOT may have a small influence on oxygenation
dynamics, activate antioxidant enzymes such as GPx, restrain autonomic nervous activity
and control the balance between oxidation and antioxidation inside the body. 相似文献
