Measurements from trees and plants of a BrazilianInga/maize/beans alleycrop experiment were assessed for their distributional properties for three years of the study. Results for the tree data were similar to those found in an earlier study. Results for the crop data demonstrated similarities between the distributions for alleycrops and solecrops, nonnormality shown by positive skewness and peaked distributions. Changes in the distributional shapes were demonstrated from year to year as soil nutrient depletion increased and as climatic variables fluctuated. Variation across the rows in the alley was often of a similar size to variation from plant to plant within the rows. Initial recommendations for analysis of such data are given on the basis of these results.  相似文献

Three multipurpose tree species (MPTS)-leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala), sesbania (Sesbania sesban var. nubica) and pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) were pruned at a height of 60 cm above the ground every two months, and resulting plant biomass was incorporated into the soil as green manure. For comparison, maize (Zea mays) stover was also incorporated into some plots, while some other plots were left fallow. Varying quantities of plant biomass which were incorporated into the soil over a period of 12 months caused large changes in major soil plant nutrients, and it substantially improved soil fertility. To test for improved soil fertility, test crops of maize and beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) were grown on the plots after six biomass incorporations of 4806, 13603, 16659 and 7793 kg. ha–1yr–1 for pigeonpea, sesbania leucaena and maize, respectively. Responses of the test crops indicated that sesbania and leucaena green manures improved maize stover, cobs and grain yields; and bean haulms and grain yields by 77.6% when compared to fallow plots. Residual effects of green manures still resulted in significant (P < 0.05) yield differences in the test cropin the third testing season. Economic significance of green manures in increasing food crop yields to small scale farmers is discussed.  相似文献

为提高红豆和绿豆中酚类化合物的得率及抗氧化能力,本试验采取蒸汽爆破加工对红豆和绿豆进行预处理,研究不同爆破处理组红豆和绿豆中总酚、总黄酮的含量及其抗氧化活性,并分析了两者之间的关系。结果表明,蒸汽爆破处理后的原料结构破裂严重,形成大量的碎片物质,促进原料中活性成分与溶剂的接触可及性。与对照组(CK)相比,经爆破处理后,红豆、绿豆中总酚、总黄酮含量明显上升,0.5 MPa、60 s爆破条件下绿豆中总酚、总黄酮含量最高,分别为4.57和3.00 mg·g-1;而红豆中的总酚、总黄酮含量在0.75 MPa、60 s爆破条件下最高,分别为4.66和3.07 mg·g-1。红豆中的总酚、总黄酮的含量均高于绿豆(除0.5 MPa、60 s爆破处理组)。不同处理组中提取物的抗氧化活性与总酚及总黄酮的含量变化基本一致,红豆中总酚含量与DPPH自由基清除率之间的相关性最高(r=0.966),绿豆中总酚含量与FRAP还原能力的相关性最高(r=0.895)。本研究结果为蒸汽爆破适用于不同生物质及有效成分的提取提供了一定的理论指导,进一步拓展了爆破技术在食品加工业的应用范围。  相似文献

应用过氧化物酶同工酶技术,通过相似系数比较和聚类分析,比较7个油豆角品种不同器官过氧化物酶(POD)的活性,并对其亲缘关系进行探讨。结果表明:不同品种POD活性不同,同一品种不同器官的POD活性也不同,根部的POD活性高于叶的,而叶片的高于茎的;不同器官POD酶谱不同,同一器官不同品种的酶带数也不尽相同;‘油豆子’、‘俏春大荚油豆王’和‘齐研五号架油豆’亲缘关系比较近;‘俏春3号地油’与‘油豆子’的亲缘关系最远。  相似文献

Summary Eleven cultivars of Phaseolus vulgaris L., inoculated with a commercial inoculum of Rhizobium phaseoli, were grown in a nitrogen-free medium in the phytotron at two temperature regimes corresponding to mid-May or early June seedings. Cultivars differed in their abilities to support dinitrogen fixation under the two temperature regimes. Early June seedings fixed more dinitrogen than mid-May ones when grown for the same growth period. The amount of dinitrogen fixed was correlated with leaf area and leaf and shoot weight. It is proposed that the relationship between dinitrogen fixation and these quantitative yield characters may help bean breeders in selecting plants with superior dinitrogen-fixing abilities.  相似文献

Most of the bean breeding for disease resistance has been done considering it as a qualitative trait. This work reports on bean breeding for resistance as a quantitative trait. Recurrent mass selection was used in order to simultaneously increase the polygenically inherited resistance to all locally important bean pathogens but with emphasis on bean common mosaic virus (BCMV) and bacterial blight (BB) in the Mixteca Region, Mexico. Qualitative resistances against soil-borne diseases, induced mainly by facultative pathogens, possessing little parasitic specialization, are unlikely to occur, and although breeding against these kinds of diseases was not originally planned, it turned out to be part of collateral field screening. The accumulation of quantitative resistance against soil-borne diseases in advanced lines of this program is described and includes two field experiments, a cycle for seed augmentation in large plots and two greenhouse experiments. The majority of lines of the advanced breeding cycles produced consistently higher yields and higher survival rates, when compared with the original parents and commercial varieties. However, the regional land races still have higher survival rates but they have lower yields. Soil-borne diseases were present during all breeding cycles carried out under field conditions in the Mixteca Region. This work indicates that breeding for quantitative resistance involves all locally important pathogens. It is then feasible to accumulate high levels of quantitative resistance, in a relatively short time, even to these intermittently severe, soil-borne diseases that are otherwise so difficult to manage. The interrelationships among certain physical and chemical properties of ten cultivars of dry beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) were investigated. The length/breadth ratio was similar (1.51–1.65) except for kidney beans (>2.0) and sanilac (1.37) cultivars. The breadth/thickness ratio ranged from 1.17–1.65. The 100-bean weight indicated a wide variation of 15.03–50.33 g. The density, bulk density, and porosity characteristics were within a narrow range of 1.18–1.36 g/cc, 68–75 g/100 cc, and 40.7–48.5%, respectively. Water uptake rates during the first 6 h of soaking at room temperature (21 °C) were characteristic of the cultivar. At the end of 24-h soaking, however, all cultivars had absorbed similar amounts of water (approximately 1 g/g bean). Leaching losses (g solids leached/100 g beans) had characteristic trends and ranged from 0.54 for cranberry to 3.46 for sanilac cultivars after 24-h soaking.
