The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of accelerated aging on compression strength, modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, color change, volumetric swelling, and volumetric shrinkage of bamboo specimens with and without node sections. In the study, these properties were compared with those of Scots pine and beech wood specimens. Depending on bamboo sections, the aging procedure reduced modulus of rupture, modulus of elasticity, and compression strength. Bamboo specimens showed relatively high strength properties compared to wood specimens due to having high density. Strength properties increased from bottom to top of bamboo culms. The presence of nodes in the specimens reduced compression strength and modulus of rupture but affected modulus of elasticity slightly. Remarkable color changes in specimens were observed after aging. Volumetric swelling and shrinkage of bamboo specimens exposed to aging decreased probably due to heat effect of aging procedure.  相似文献

Conductive polyaniline (PAn)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) composite fibers were prepared by chemical polymerization of aniline in the presence of PET fibers using benzoyl peroxide (Bz2O2) in organic solvent/aqueous hydrochloric acid mixtures. The effects of polymerization conditions such as organic solvent/water ratio, oxidant, aniline and hydrochloric acid concentrations and temperature were investigated on the amount of PAn deposited on PET fiber and the electrical surface resistance of composite fibers. The maximum PAn content and the lowest electrical surface resistance of composite fibers were observed at HCl concentrations of 0.5 mol L−1. The properties of PAn/PET composite fibers such as density, diameter, tensile strength and breaking elongation were also investigated in comparison with those of pure PET. Characterization of conductive composite fibers was carried out by FTIR, TGA, SEM techniques, surface resistance measurements, and cross section images taken by optical microscope.  相似文献

Rye (Secale cereale L.) is a valuable source for alien chromosome translocations in wheat breeding, due to its capability to grow and sustain under harsh environmental conditions. Wheat germplasm with 1AL.1RS and 1BL.1RS wheat-rye chromosome translocations have been used worldwide by breeders. Determining 1AL.1RS and 1BL.1RS translocations in wheat is therefore of important practical value for wheat improvement. In this study, nine rye-specific markers detecting the rye chromosome 1RS in wheat background were evaluated. The markers PAWS5/S6, SCM9 and O-SEC5′-A/O-SEC3′-R amplified specific bands associated with 1AL.1RS and 1BL.1RS translocations. These three markers therefore provide a quick and reliable tool to identify and to discriminate these two wheat-rye translocations in wheat background. Six out of nine rye specific markers were subsequently used to determine the frequency of these translocations in commonly grown bread and durum wheat cultivars from Turkey. One hundred seven wheat cultivars and landraces were molecularly screened. Among them, only 4% (‘Seri-82’, ‘Yıldız-98’, ‘Tahirova’, and ‘Osmaniyem’) harbor the 1BL.1RS translocation whereas the 1AL.1RS translocation was not found. The information provided here will contribute to the creation of new Turkish wheat populations with a larger genetic diversity necessary for future requirements.  相似文献

This study aimed to determine the effect of propolis extract on quality of liquid smoked carp (Cyprinus carpio) sausage stored at 2°C for 9 weeks. Carp sausages were separated into three groups: control group, without propolis extract; second group, with 1% (w/w) propolis extract added; and third group, with 2% (w/w) propolis extract added. Propolis extract added carp sausages showed lower total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) value, peroxide value (PV), and free fatty acid (FFA) content compared to control during the storage period. During 9 weeks of storage, propolis extract added carp sausages showed significantly lower total aerobic mesophilic bacteria (TAMB) and psychrophilic bacteria count (PBC) than those of control samples (p < .05). Yeast and mold were not detected in all fish sausages throughout the storage period.  相似文献

ObjectiveQuantitative neuromuscular monitoring is essential for studies of potency and duration of neuromuscular blocking agents, and for detecting residual paralysis in anesthetized patients. This investigation evaluates whether there are systematic differences between acceleromyography (AMG) and electromyography (EMG); two quantitative methods for monitoring neuromuscular block.Study designProspective.AnimalsTen healthy Beagle dogs.MethodsDogs were anesthetized with isoflurane and dexmedetomidine. Both ulnar nerves were stimulated with a train-of-four (TOF) pattern every 15 seconds. The magnitude of the first twitch (T1) and the TOF ratio (magnitude of T4/T1; TOFR) were quantified simultaneously with AMG and EMG, applied randomly to each extremity. The extent of maximal block (T1 depression) and onset time were measured by AMG and EMG during TOF monitoring after the administration of cisatracurium (0.05 mg kg−1). In addition, recovery of T1 to 25% and 75%, the recovery index (time between T1 of 25% and 75%), and recovery of the TOFR to 0.9 were used to characterize recovery from cisatracurium and were compared between monitors. Regression and Bland-Altman plots for T1 and TOFR were also created.ResultsMaximal block and onset time were not different between monitors. Time to recovery of T1 to 25% and 75%, and time to TOF ratio 0.9 was significantly shorter with AMG. The recovery index was not different between monitors. When the TOFR returned to 0.9 with AMG, EMG still measured considerable residual block (TOFR 0.47).Conclusions and clinical relevanceElectromyography consistently detected residual NMB when recovery from NMB was complete as assessed by AMG.  相似文献
