Peculiarities of reproduction, early ontogeny, methods of egg incubation, and influence of temperature on development are compared in wolffish (Anarhichas lupus L.) and in salmonids, mainly Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.). Reproductive indices of females are similar in both species, but differ in males due to the small production of sperm in wolffish, a difference explained by internal fertilization in the latter species. The rate of embryonal development until the beginning of differentiation of fin fold at the same temperature is similar in both species, but the period from activation to hatching is more than twice as long in wolffish as in Atlantic salmon. Wolffish hatch at a more advanced stage with a small remnant of yolk sac and begin to feed shortly thereafter. As in Atlantic salmon, eggs and larvae of wolffish have a wide range of temperature resistance except before and after hatching. Based on the difference of life cycles in wolffish and salmon, technologies for their artificial breeding are compared.  相似文献

Embryonic development of common wolffish (Anarhichas lupus L.) was studied at constant temperatures 5.0, 7.0, 9.0, 11.0, 13.0 and 15.0°C. Duration of development from egg activation to several morphological stages including 50% hatching was determined. At 5.0–11.0°C, the survival rate of eggs to hatching ranged from 51 to 88% with a tendency to increase at 5.0 and 7.0°C. Morphological anomalies, bacterial contamination and large mortalities were observed in eggs incubated at 13.0 and 15.0°C. The period of hatching lasted from 10 to 50 d in different egg groups. Embryo length and yolk sac volume at identical morphological stages of development showed only slight relation to temperature. At lower temperatures newly hatched larvae were longer and at more advanced stages of ontogeny. Normal numbers of fin rays in larvae (mean values 74 for dorsal fin and 46 for anal fin) were observed at 5.0 and 7.0°C and in most larvae at 9.0°C. At 11.0 and 13.0°C, many rays were absent, with mean values for dorsal fin 60 and 39 respectively and for anal fin 28 and 4 respectively. The approximate upper limit for normal development of fin rays appeared to be 9.0 °C.  相似文献

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of fish meal quality on growth, feed conversion and protein utilization in common wolffish. Anarhichas lupus L. The study involved comparison between low-temperature-processed (Norse-LT) and regular fish meal (NorSeaMink) included in dry pellets. Results obtained for these dry feeds were compared with those obtained using moist feed containing squid mantle. The results show better growth rate, feed conversion factor, protein efficiency rate, (PER) and productive protein values (PPVs), when using low-temperature-processed meals compared with regular fish meals in feed to wolffish. No specific differences were found in growth rate and feed conversion factor between fish fed diets containing low-temperature-processed meal or squid mantle. Whole body lipid content was highly influenced by dietary content. No effect of dietary moisture content was demonstrated in this study.  相似文献

Entrepreneurship and innovativeness have seen considerable attention in the literature. However, little research has focused on micro-scaled enterprises, especially in the context of nature-based tourism. This work investigates how entrepreneurial attitude influences innovativeness and performance in Norwegian nature-based tourism enterprises. Data collection consisted of an e-mail survey and resulted in 178 usable responses. Respondents that exhibit a stronger entrepreneurial attitude appear more likely to change the way they organize their enterprise and tend to have higher income growth. Results point to potential policy actions that could positively impact rural development as well as individual firm actions that may enhance performance.  相似文献

This article examines innovation processes in forest recreational services on the basis of case studies in five European countries with differing institutional backgrounds of forest ownership and access rights. The analysis reveals that forest-related recreation services are developed under varying institutional conditions and on public as well as private land. Ideas for innovations in recreational services may come from within but often outside the forestry sector. Financing is provided from public and private sources. Both public and private spheres have important roles in providing natural, human and financial resources and usually a network of public and private actors are involved in innovation processes. Of particular importance are cross-sectoral interactions between forestry and tourism. Greater institutional support is needed for the development of forest-related recreation services because the field is at an early stage of development. It is concluded that support should focus on providing ideas and financial resources for product development and on facilitating cross-sectoral interaction between forestry and tourism actors. A particular need is seen for development of models for durable interaction between land owners and tourism operators on a regional scale.  相似文献

Oncogenic CARD11 mutations in human diffuse large B cell lymphoma   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In the least curable (ABC) subtype of DLBCL, survival of the malignant cells is dependent on constitutive activation of the nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) signaling pathway. In normal B cells, antigen receptor-induced NF-kappaB activation requires CARD11, a cytoplasmic scaffolding protein. To determine whether CARD11 contributes to tumorigenesis, we sequenced the CARD11 gene in human DLBCL tumors. We detected missense mutations in 7 of 73 ABC DLBCL biopsies (9.6%), all within exons encoding the coiled-coil domain. Experimental introduction of CARD11 coiled-coil domain mutants into lymphoma cell lines resulted in constitutive NF-kappaB activation and enhanced NF-kappaB activity upon antigen receptor stimulation. These results demonstrate that CARD11 is a bona fide oncogenein DLBCL, providing a genetic rationale for the development of pharmacological inhibitors of the CARD11 pathway for DLBCL therapy.  相似文献

Mortality of artificially fertilized, laboratory incubated eggs of common wolffish,Anarhichas lupus L., was 100% within 2–3 weeks, at the gastrulation step. The eggs from batches with a high proportion of normally cleavaged eggs died later than the eggs from batches with a low proportion of such eggs. Light micrographs of egg shells showed ulceration of the outer layer and subsequent destruction of the inner layer of zona radiata, caused byFlexibacter sp. The bacterial infection provoked premature hatching at later stages of embryonal development. Treating eggs with glutaraldehyde at a concentration of 600 mg l–1 every third to fifth day during incubation prevented the mortality caused by bacteria.  相似文献

Interest in the cultivation of wolffish arose in recent years due to their high-quality meat and fast growth in captivity. In wolffish, an almost juvenile organism, more than 20 mm long, hatches from the egg and can be fed dry pellets just after that. This makes the technology for wolffish breeding much simpler than for other marine fishes, even salmonids. This paper is devoted to common wolffish. Anarhichas lupus L., as the captive breeding of this species has been studied most completely. Experience with broodstock management, insemination, incubation of eggs, start feeding, and growth of rearing juveniles until maturation is described, based mainly on investigations made in Norway and in the Russian Federation. The conditions for obtaining maximum production in the shortest time are assessed. Prospects for using wolffish in aquaculture are briefly discussed.  相似文献

High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with a coulometric array detector was used to characterize the electrochemical behavior of 17 flavonoids and three cinnamic acid derivatives. The antioxidant activity of these phenolic compounds was evaluated by the ferric reducing activity power (FRAP), the oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC), and the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical assays. All flavonoids, except kaempferol-3-rutinoside, malvidin-3-glucoside, and peonidin-3-glucoside, had two oxidation potentials (100-300 and 700-800 mV). Quercetin and myricetin had an additional oxidation wave at 400 mV. The electrochemical responses at a relatively low oxidation potential (300 mV) and the cumulative responses at medium oxidation potentials (400 and 500 mV) had the highest correlations with antioxidant activities. The highest correlations between electrochemical characteristics and antioxidant activities were found between electrochemical responses and antioxidant activities obtained in the FRAP assay and in the DPPH assay after short reaction periods. Lower correlations were revealed between electrochemical responses and antioxidant activities obtained in the ORAC assay.  相似文献
