Sweetpotato [Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam. cv. Beniazuma] plug transplants produced from single node leafy cuttings under artificial light in a closed-type growth chamber were planted with roots and substrate of 11- and 15-day old (ca. two to three unfolded leaves with 0.08 m shoot length and three to four unfolded leaves with 0.11 m shoot length, respectively). The plug transplants of both the 11- and 15-day old were planted with one and three nodes depth (ca. 4 and 25 mm deep, respectively) inside the soil ridges (called one- and three-node depth, respectively, hereafter). The conventional vine cuttings (ca. 0.3 m long with seven to eight unfolded leaves) without roots were planted as Control treatment to compare the growth and yield of sweetpotato with each of the treatments of plug transplant. The main objectives of the study were to see the effects of ages of plug transplants and depths of planting for greater growth and yield of sweetpotato in the field. The yield of storage roots 115 days after planting in the field was 33 t ha−1 when using 15-day old plug transplants planted with three-node depth and was 10 t ha−1 greater than that in the Control. The mean storage root length was about 259 mm when using 11-day old plug transplants planted with three-node depth and was 33 mm greater than that in the Control. The mean diameter of storage roots was 70 mm when using 11- and 15-day old plug transplants planted with one-node depth and was 21 mm greater than that in the Control. The plug transplants planted either 11- or 15-day old showed greater overall performances than those of the conventional cuttings. The plug transplants planted with three-node depth showed greater performances than did the plug transplants planted with one-node depth.  相似文献

Clumps of statice (Limonium latifolium) plantlets grown photomixotrophically were used as explants and cultured for 25 days on a sugar-free modified Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium in Magenta-type vessels with the number of air exchanges of the vessel (NAE) being 3.8 h−1, at a photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) of 100 μmol m−2 s−1 and a CO2 concentration of 1500 μmol mol−1 in the culture room. A factorial experiment was conducted with three levels of 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) concentration, namely 0, 0.25 and 0.5 mg L−1, and two types of supporting material, agar and Florialite (a porous material). The control treatment was a photomixotrophic culture using a sugar- and BA (0.25 mg L−1) containing agar medium in the vessel with NAE of 0.2 h−1, at a PPF of 50 μmol m−2 s−1 and a CO2 concentration of 400 μmol mol−1 in the culture room. Leaf area, chlorophyll concentration and net photosynthetic rate were greater in the sugar-free medium treatment with a BA concentration of 0.25 mg L−1 and Florialite than those in the control treatment. The number of shoots and dry weight per clump in the sugar-free medium treatment were comparable to those in the control treatment. Among the sugar-free medium treatments, the number of shoots increased with increasing BA concentration, however, the leaf area, dry weight, chlorophyll concentration and net photosynthetic rate decreased with increasing BA concentration. The use of Florialite significantly enhanced the growth and root induction as well as net photosynthetic rate, compared with the treatments that use agar. These results indicated that sugar-free medium micropropagation could be commercially applied to the multiplication of statice plantlets.  相似文献

In order to monitor the fish volume entrapped over time in a set net in real time, a new remote fish finder system based on a mobile network was developed and tested. This system was designed with a client/server architecture including an echo sounder terminal, a web server, and some end user display terminals, which allowed fishermen to monitor the fishing state of a set net via any display device. In addition, in order to transfer the echo data smoothly via a mobile network, a fish echo extraction method based on image processing and a data organization structure were proposed, which can significantly reduce the data volume for transmission, supply sufficient information to reconstruct the high resolution echogram at the user terminals, and calculate the positional and morphometric parameters of fish echoes. Furthermore, a semiautomatic data recording method for use with a database was proposed to manage the extracted fish echo data and the fishing records. The functions and capabilities of the new system were demonstrated by a sea trial.  相似文献

Effects of daily feeding frequency, water temperature, and stocking density on the growth of tiger puffer, Takifugu rubripes, fry were examined to develop effective techniques to produce tiger puffer in a closed recirculation system. Fish of 4, 14, and 180 g in initial body weight were fed commercial pellet diets once to five times a day to apparent satiation each by hand for 8 or 12 wk at 20 C. Daily feeding frequency did not affect the growth of 14‐ and 180‐g‐size fish. However, the daily feed consumption and weight gain of the 4‐g‐size fish fed three and five times daily were significantly higher than those of fish fed once daily (P < 0.05). Fish of 4 and 50 g in initial body weight were reared with the pellet diet at 15–30 C for 8 wk. The weight gain of fish increased with increasing water temperature up to 25 C and decreased drastically at 30 C for both sizes. Similar trends were observed for feed efficiency, although 4‐g fish had highest efficiency at 20 C. Effects of stocking density on growth were examined with fish of 8, 13, and 100 g in initial body weight. Fish were reared with the pellet diet for 8 or 16 wk at 20 C. Fish were placed in floating net cages in the culture tank, and the stocking density was determined based on the total weight of fish and volume of the net cage. Fish of 8 g in body weight grew up to 35–36 g during the 8‐wk rearing period independent of the stocking density of 8, 15, and 31 kg/m3 at the end of rearing. Final biomass per cage reached 32, 60, and 115 kg/m3 for 13‐g‐size fish, and 10, 18, and 35 kg/m3 for 100‐g‐size fish, and the growth of the fish tended to decrease with increasing stocking density for both sizes.  相似文献

In this study, polyesters were prepared from sulfuric acid lignin (SAL) that was generated as a by-product during the production of bioethanol from lignocellulosic materials using ɛ-caprolactone (CL). Carboxylic groups were introduced into SAL by a hydrothermal reaction under alkali conditions. The acid form (-COOH) of the obtained polymer (HSAL) was dissolved into ɛ-caprolactone and the mixture was heated at 150°C for 12 h with ZnCl2 as a catalyst. The structure of the obtained polymer (PCL-HSAL) was proposed based on results of differential scanning calorimetric analysis, swelling tests, and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The hydroxyl group in HSAL participated in the ring-opening polymerization of CL. PCL-HSAL with a high HSAL content formed a three-dimensional network that did not dissolve in organic solvents and did not melt at high temperature. PCL-HSAL showed a high swelling property for a suitable ratio of CL to HSAL.  相似文献

ABSTRACT:   Two feeding experiments were conducted to elucidate growth performance of tiger puffer in a 10 m3 water volume closed system. In experiment 1, 1000 fish of 3.5 g average body weight were fed tiger puffer commercial feed twice daily to apparent satiation, 6 days a week for 224 days. Sand-filtered sea water was used and no water was exchanged during the rearing period. Immediately after cutting of lower teeth at day 112, daily feed consumption decreased greatly and 60 fish died in few days. Feeding rates recovered and then decreased gradually as nitrate levels increased from 600–1048 mg N/L. Fish grew to 343 g with 91% survival rate and 87% feed efficiency. Rearing conditions of experiment 2 were similar to experiment 1, except that culture water was exchanged to maintain the nitrate level less than 600 mg N/L during the 224-day experiment. Mortality and reduction of feed consumption occurred immediately after teeth cutting as was observed in experiment 1. Significant reduction of feed intake was not found during other rearing periods. Fish of 3 g grew to 303 g with 91% survival rate and 72% feed efficiency.  相似文献
