Viral haemorrhagic septicaemia (VHS) is a well-characterized disease of rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, which has also caused economic losses in marine turbot farms in the British Isles. We have previously demonstrated that turbot, Scophthalmus maximus, are susceptible to isolates of viral haemorrhagic septicaemia virus (VHSV) that are endemic in the marine environment, highlighting a potential risk to marine aquaculture. Given the increasing interest in the intensive rearing of additional aquaculture species such as Atlantic cod, Gadus morhua, and Atlantic halibut, Hippoglossus hippoglossus, this study aimed at investigating the susceptibility of these species to VHSV. Both species were found to be largely resistant to VHS following immersion challenge with a selection of 18 isolates, representing the known marine VHSV genotypes. Only one and two VHSV-associated mortalities occurred out of a total of 1710 and 1254 halibut and cod, respectively. These findings suggest that there is a low direct risk to the development of commercial cod and halibut aquaculture from the existing endemic reservoir of VHSV. This study, coupled to field observations has, however, highlighted the fact that both species can become infected with VHSV. The known adaptability of RNA viruses, together with the selection pressures associated with intensive aquaculture would thus advocate a cautious approach to VHSV surveillance within these emerging industries.  相似文献

网室遮荫栽培对木瓜的光合作用“午休”的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为了研究网室遮荫栽培对两个木瓜品种光合作用的影响,我们利用便携式光合仪测定了木瓜的光合作用日变化、光响应曲线以及叶绿素荧光.结果表明①光合作用日进程中,网室内的气温(Ta)、光强(PFD)及叶内外蒸汽压差(VPD)在中午都显著低于网室外(P≤0.05).网室内栽培的木瓜的光合速率(An)、气孔导度(gs)、细胞间CO2浓度(Ci)都出现“双峰曲线”,即未出现“午休”,而网室内栽培的正好相反.②在网室外自然光照下两种木瓜gsVPD响应VPD升高时,gs下降,呈显著负相关,这也是中午光合速率受到限制的原因之一.而网室栽培gsVPD相关不显著(P≤0.05).③网室内木瓜的叶绿素荧光FvFm午间的下降幅度显著低于网室外木瓜(P≤0.05).④网室内木瓜光响应曲线中光补偿点(LCP)和光饱和点(LSP)低,表观量子效率()高的特征,表明木瓜在网室适度遮荫的条件下的耐荫的适度性表现.以上表明在华南地区,网室栽培有助于缓解植物在中午的强光、高温以及高湿的条件下产生的光抑制,避开“午休”,从而积累更多的有机碳,提高光合效率,具有推广的潜力.  相似文献

该文应用热脉冲技术、改良的冲洗法、CI-301测定系统和PSYPRO露点水势仪,对不同程度断根处理的银杏进行测定.结果表明:断根处理严重影响银杏树体水分状况的变化,土坨直径为胸径的12、10和8倍根处理的树干茎流通量与对照相比差异显著;断根处理后枝条栓塞程度增加且差异显著,叶片气孔导度、蒸腾速率与对照相比都降低且差异显著;土坨直径为胸径的12和10倍断根处理与对照相比叶片水势差异不显著,但8倍的断根处理与对照相比叶片水势差异显著.采取正交试验考察断根、剪叶和喷抗蒸腾剂对银杏枝条栓塞程度影响的主效应并筛选最佳组合,分析结果并结合实际应用情况综合考虑得知,银杏在生长季节移植中采取带10倍胸径土坨、剪去1/2叶片和喷稀释10倍的抗蒸腾剂等综合措施能够达到较理想的效果.  相似文献

用氧电极和叶绿素荧光相结合测定的方法研究华南地区常用于水土保持的硬穗钝叶草、地毯草、宽叶和细叶百喜草、香根草等5种禾本科植物在不同淹水时间下的反应 5种植物生长于完全淹水的环境中,分别在第9、18、27、36、45、54d测定 淹水处理使地毯草总叶绿素含量随着淹水天数的延长而呈下降趋势,色素破坏明显;细叶百喜草和香根草则随着淹水反应时间的延长而上升,光合色素破坏不明显 淹水对植物的暗呼吸速率影响不同 原初光化学速率Fv/Fm在淹水影响下呈现不同程度的降低,与Fv/Fm下降相关的荧光参数Fm,Fv和Fo在3种植物中反应不同 叶绿素荧光测定的结果表明淹水反应中香根草、细叶百喜草的PSⅡ活性比地毯草具有较高的稳定性,qN增高,热耗散保护性作用增强 丙二醛(MDA)的相对含量,在18d淹水里钝叶草、宽叶百喜草和香根草呈现下降的趋势,后2者在淹水27d以后受刺激增高  相似文献

水文对森林植物群落的类型、结构、生活型谱、排序和动态做了初步研究。结果表明:森林植物群落分2个植被型,4个群系,19个群丛组;群落垂直结构分乔术、灌木、草本3层,植物组成分属于34科、76属108种;群落生活型谱反映了气候条件;群落排序结果满意;顶极植物群落为松栎林,山杨、白桦林将为辽东栎林演替,油松林与山杨林、白桦林之间的动态演替关系值得进一步研究。  相似文献

Somatostatin receptors expressed by insulinomas in 5 dogs were imaged in vivo by means of indium in 111 pentetreotide (OctreoScan) scintigraphy. The diagnosis in each dog was supported by the presence of hypoglycemia (<60 mg/dL), hyperinsulinemia (>20 microU/mL), and histopathologic review of neoplastic tissue. All insulinomas expressed high-affinity somatostatin receptors of subtype sst2, as shown by receptor autoradiography in vitro using 125I-[tyrosine3]-octreotide and 125I-[leucine8, Dtryptophan22, tyrosine25]-somatostatin-28 with an sst2 subtype-selective analogue. Scintigrams were obtained at 1, 4, 12, and 24 hours after the i.v. administration of 74-222 MBq of OctreoScan to each patient. Abnormal foci of activity were 1st observed from 1 hour after administration of the radioligand in dog 3, to 24 hours after its administration in dog 4; in dogs 1 and 2, abnormal foci of activity were visible from 12 hours. Dog 5 showed a questionable abnormal focus of activity at 12 hours, but not at 24 hours. Scintigraphy enabled accurate prediction of the anatomical location of the primary tumor in 1 of 4 dogs, but was unable to differentiate a right- from a left-pancreatic lobe tumor, or vice versa, in 3 dogs; the 5th dog had equivocal results. 111In-pentetreotide scintigraphy is a useful diagnostic adjunct to the clinical evaluation of the insulinoma patient, but is unable to localize the tumor in some cases.  相似文献

Sepsis, the systemic inflammatory response to infection, represents the major cause of death in critically ill veterinary patients. Whereas important advances in our understanding of the pathophysiology of this syndrome have been made, much remains to be elucidated. There is general agreement on the key interaction between pathogen-associated molecular patterns and cells of the innate immune system, and the amplification of the host response generated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. More recently, the concept of immunoparalysis in sepsis has also been advanced, together with an increasing recognition of the interplay between regulatory T cells and the innate immune response. However, the heterogeneous nature of this syndrome and the difficulty of modeling it in vitro or in vivo has both frustrated the advancement of new therapies and emphasized the continuing importance of patient-based clinical research in this area of human and veterinary medicine.  相似文献
