Zusammenfassung Die Verfasser prüften die organoleptischen Eigenschaften 14 verschiedener Kürbissorten, die Zusammensetzung von rohem und gebackenem Backkürbis sowie die biologische Wertigkeit seines Carotingehaltes. Die Durchschnittswerte der untersuchten Inhaltsstoffe sind die folgenden: Trockensubstanz 20%, Asche 1,47%, Refraktion 12,5%, Roheiweiß 1,54%, C-Vitamin 29,6 mg%, Carotin 3,8 mg%. Unter diesen machen sie auf den C-Vitamin- und Carotingehalt aufmerksam und bezeichnen Backkürbis auf Grund dieser letzteren Inhaltstoffe als wichtige Vitaminquelle im Winter.Bei den gebräuchlichen Backverfahren erfolgt bei 20–30% Gewichtsverlust ein durchschnittlich 62%-iger, auf den Trockensubstanzgehalt berechneter Verlust an C-Vitamin und ein etwa 55%-iger an Carotin. Nach Tierversuchen ist Backkürbis eine der besten A-Provitaminquellen, da bei mit Backkürbis ernährten Ratten der A-Vitamingehalt der Leber um 62% höher ist als bei den mit identischen Mengen Carotin enthaltenden gelben Rüben gefütterten Tieren.
Summary The organoleptic properties of 14 various types of pumpkins, the chemical composition of raw and baked samples, and the biological value of their carotene content were investigated by the authors.The mean values of the results were as follows: dry matter content 20%, ash content 1.47%, refraction value 12.5%, crude protein content 1.54%, ascorbic acid content 29.6 mg%, carotene content 3.8 mg%. The authors point to the importance of the content of ascorbic acid and of carotene, on the basis of which baked pumpkins can be classified as an important winter source of vitamins.With the conventional baking technique, considering a mean weight loss of 20–30%, the losses of ascorbic acid and carotene, respectively, range 62 and 55%, in respect to dry matter content.According to animal tests, baked pumpkins are one of the best sources of provitamin A, as the content of vitamin A of the liver of rats consuming baked pumpkins was higher by 62% than the liver of rats fed with carrots containing equal amounts of carotene.

Zusammenfassung Bei 7 der Sortenprüfung unterzogenen Zuckermelonen- und 6 Wassermelonensorten untersuchten Verfasser die Verteilung im Zucker- und Säuregehalt sowie den Gehalt an Vitamin C und Carotin.Beim gesamten Untersuchungsmaterial wurde die quantitative und qualitative Verteilung der Kohlenhydrate und Säuren bestimmt.Den Untersuchungsergebnissen gemäß erhöht sich bei Zuckermelonen der Saccharosegehalt, bei Wassermelonen der Fructosegehalt in Richtung des Fruchtinneren, wo auch sowohl bei Zucker-, wie bei Wassermelonen die meiste Säure nachweisbar ist.Auf Grund des Gehaltes an Kohlenhydraten, Säure, Vitamin C und Carotin wurden die verschiedenen Melonensorten auch diätetisch bewertet.
Summary Seven types of sugar melon and 6 types of water melon applied in selection experiments in Hungary were examined by the authors as regards sugar content, nature and quantity of acids, further the contents of ascorbic acid and carotene.The nature and quantity of sugars and acids were determined in the flesh and in the peels of all types examined.According to the analytical results, the content of sucrose of sugar melons increases when nearing the centre whilst in the case of water melons, the content of fructose becomes higher in the central portion.The content of acid showed maximum values in the centre with both sugar and water melons.The examined types of melons were also evaluated from a biological aspect, considering the contents of sugar, acid, ascorbic acid and carotene.

Purpose  To investigate whether sheets of fetal retinal allografts can integrate into the dystrophic Abyssinian cat retina with progressive rod cone degeneration.
Methods  Fetal retinal sheets (cat gestational day 42), incubated with BDNF microspheres, were transplanted to the subretinal space of four cats at an early disease stage. Cats were studied by fundus examinations, bilateral full-field flash ERGs, and indocyanine green and fluorescein angiograms up to 4 months following surgery. E42 donor and transplanted eyes were analyzed by histology and immunohistochemistry for retinal markers.
Results  Funduscopy and angiography showed good integration of the transplants in two of four cats, including extension of host blood vessels into the transplant and some scarring in the host. In these two, transplants were found in the subretinal space with laminated areas, with photoreceptor outer segments in normal contacts with the host retinal pigment epithelium. In some areas, transplants appeared to be well-integrated within the host neural retina. Neither of these two cats showed functional improvement in ERGs. In the other two cats, only remnants of donor tissue were left. Transplants stained for all investigated cellular markers. No PKC immunoreactivity was detected in the fetal donor retina at E42, but developed in the 4-month-old grafts.
Conclusions  Fetal sheet transplants can integrate well within a degenerating cat retina and develop good lamination of photoreceptors. Functional improvement was not demonstrated by ERG in cats with well-laminated grafts. Transplants need to be further evaluated in cat host retinas with a more advanced retinal degeneration using longer follow-up times.  相似文献

Summary

The potency of paclobutrazol, BAS 111, triadimefon and triapenthenol in promoting adventitious root formation and their interactions with gibberellic acid (GA3) were studied by using the mung bean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilcz) rooting bioassay. Isoactive concentrations of the four compounds required for the formation of an average of 50 roots per cutting were 0.09, 0.8, 1.5 and 9 mg l–1, respectively. GA3 applied in combination with each retardant reversed its promoting effect. For the reduction of the number of roots (ca. 50) of cuttings treated with isoactive concentrations of the retardants to that of the untreated control (9–10 roots) the required concentration of GA3 for triadimefon and triapenthenol was twice as high as for paclobutrazol and BAS 111. At high concentrations of GA3 the difference between the number of roots in treatments, with and without paclobutrazol, was fully eliminated, but not when triapenthenol replaced paclobutrazol. Application of paclobutrazol, triadimefon or GA3 to cuttings for 24 h intervals over the first five days of the assay, showed significant changes in their effectiveness, which followed a similar pattern for the three substances. Rooting was increased by the retardants without reduction of the cutting length. The results suggest that the retardants promote rooting by interfering with gibberellin biosynthesis but, in addition, some act by influencing another process or processes.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to provide a better insight into the adaptive processes to water deficit of Rosa hybrid plants grown in soilless cultivation. Rose plants were grown in a greenhouse under two water regimes, corresponding to 100% and 67% of the irrigation needs. Watering was stopped for 0, 72, and 96 h (dry-down period) and photosynthetic parameters, water relations, chlorophyll fluorescence, carbohydrate and ion content were determined.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to provide a better insight into the adaptive processes within rose plants ‘Eurored’ (Hybid Tea), grown in soilless cultivation, when exposed to water deficit. Rose plants were grown in three different substrates (perlite, pine bark–almond shells 1:1, and perlite–pumice 1:1) and under two water regimes (100 and 67% of the irrigation needs). Photosynthetic parameters, water relations, leaf chlorophyll content, chlorophyll fluorescence and cut-flower production were determined.  相似文献
