| 摘 要： | 设计在家具新产品开发、生产、销售等方面起着举足轻重的作用。有竞争力、有创造力的产品不仅依靠先进的技术和管理做基础，更加依赖设计人员对人们工作生活方式的研究，“设计”不但能使产品更符合人类生理物心理的需求，而且可更新人们的观念、改变人们的生活方式，引导市走向，文中就家具设计的重要性及其含义进行了阐述，并提出了绿色设计，智能化设计，数字化设计，人性化设计，商品化设计等２１世纪家具设计的发展趋势。
