| Abstract: | Ningxia currently has about 268 700 hm 2 of natural Glycyrrhiza resource, but had 939 200 hm 2 and 587 000 hm 2 in the 1950s and in 1983, respectively The quality grade has dropped all round The proportion of class A and B reduced from 70% in the 1970s to 30% in the 1980s, and the proportion of class C rose from 30% to 70% correspondingly Some protective utilisation measures were proposed based on study of the economic value, and biological and ecological characteristics of the Glycyrrhiza |
