The Process of Water Infiltration through Soil in Loess Low Hill Area

Abstract:This paper discussed the process of water infiltration through soil in loess low hill area using artificial simulated rainfall technique.The normal equation solutions of factors to infiltration capacity were made.They could forecast the infiltration capacity in different sites.The leading factors that influenced infiltration capacity were found out.They were rainfall time,land used types,rainfall intensity and natural moisture content.The infiltration capacity is in direct proportion to rainfall time and rainfall intensity,and in inverse proportion to natural moisture content.The infiltration capacity is different because of different land used types.The infiltration capacity of farm land is the most in the factors.The infiltration capacity of poplar forest land and Chinese pine land are less than that of farm land.The least one is bare land.
