| Abstract: | Social gatherings, which were prevalent in the mid- and late-Tang dynasty, continued into the Northern Song. The painting ＂ Scholars Banquet＂ , a realistic depiction of the court banquet by Emperor Huizong, showed the tea-drinking customs at that time. |
