| Abstract: | MC1R gene, as one of the important candidate genes for controlling coat color, not only plays an important role in the process of melanin synthesis, but also participates in the formation of coat color and also has different effects on human and animal diseases, growth traits and behaviors. The study of MC1R gene has attracted the attention of scholars.In order to deepen the understanding of MC1R gene, the structure, function, mechanism, gene locus, polymorphism analysis and research progress of human and animal of MC1R gene were reviewed and new ideas were put forward in this review. |
