Abstract:In order to investigate the effects of different Fe3+ concentrations on the female gametophytes of different varieties(lines)and the same varieties(lines)under different growth conditions,the growth and development of Saccharina japonica female gametophytes from“901”,“Hanguo”and“Lianza No.1”cultured under low temperature and weak light(10.0±1.0)℃,2μmol/m2·s-1,L]and high temperature and strong light(15.0±1.0)℃,80μmol/m2·s-1,H]were observed by adding different concentration of ferric salts.Four concentrations of Fe3+ were set as 0,0.5,1.0 and 1.5 mg/L,respectively.The photoperiod was 10L∶14D,and the experiment lasted for one month.The results showed that ferric salt could promoted the growth and maturation,ovulation and parthenogenesis of“901”female gametophyte.The higher concentration of Fe3+,the higher the ovulation ratio of“901”female gametophyte,and the ovulation ratio of“901”(L)was lower than that of“901”(H).There were few ovulation cells in“Hanguo”and“Lianza No.1”.The higher concentration of Fe3+,the more vigorous the vegetative growth.The relative growth rate of“Lianza No.1”(L)was lower than that of“Lianza No.1”(H).There was no significant difference in the relative growth rate of“Lianza No.1”(L)and“Lianza No.1”(H).All sporophytes developed from parthenogenesis were malformed and died in the end of the experiment.
