| Abstract: | An experiment was conducted to study the odination of fire resistances of bark of eight tree species in Korean pine broad-leaved forests in Changbai Mountain in terms of absolute water content,ash content,burning point,calorific power,and bark thickness by factor analysis.The bark fire resistance of Ulmus davidiana var.japonica(diameter at breast height 52.9 cm) was the strongest,followed by Tilia amurensis(13.5 cm),Quercus mongolica(82.8 cm),Acer mono(32.5 cm),Fraxinus mandshurica(31.0 cm),Acer mandshuricum(13.5 cm),A.mono(34.2 cm),Quercus mongolica(33.2 cm),Syringa reticulata var.mandshurica(9.5 cm),Pinus koraiensis(22.5 cm),and P.koraiensis(30.0 cm) in order.Corresponding protective measures against forest fire were put forward according to the bark fire resistances of the eight tree species. |
