摘    要:鸡性连锁矮小基因(dw基因)因其诸多特性在现代家禽生产和育种研究当中得到广泛应用。由dw基因培育而成的隐性纯合家禽品系(矮小鸡)体重仅有正常型鸡的60%~70%,具有基础代谢率低、耗料量少、饲养密度大、适应性强和抗应激能力强等许多优势,拥有较高的育种价值和经济效益,同时,矮小鸡为研究dw基因和与生长发育代谢调控密切相关的基因功能和作用机制提供了良好的试验动物模型。文章对dw基因的研究进展及其在家禽育种中的应用情况作以综述。

Abstract:Chicken sex-linked dwarf gene(dw gene) has been widely applied in contemporary poultry industry and breeding research. New lines of dwarf chicken breed of dw gene only have a range from 60% to 70% rate of body- weight of normal size chicken, and they also possess of many advantages, such as: lower basal metabolic rate, less feed consumption, higher stocking density, stronger adaptability and premunition. As a result, dwarf chicken has very high breeding and economic value. Meanwhile, dwarf chicken provide us a commendable experimental model for research- ing the structure-function relationships ofdw gene and various genes which were closely related to the metabolism reg- ulation of growth and development. This paper summarized the progress of research and application of chicken dw gene in poultry industry.
