Abstract:Spatial-temporal dynamics of total soil nitrogen(TN) and total soil phosphorous(TP) in maize field under completely mulched alternating narrow and wide ridges with furrow planting(CMRF) were studied on field experiment.Changes of TN and TP contents in 0~200 cm soil layers under the treatments of CMRF,flat-planting with no mulching(NM),half-mulching and flat-planting(HM) and complete-mulching and flat-planting(CM) were studied.The results showed that nitrogen absorption was the greatest in 40~60 cm layer under complete-mulching treatments from July to August,CMRF greatly affected nitrogen contents in the soil layers deeper than 110 cm in the whole growth stage.TP of 20~40 cm soil layer decreased 0.255 g·kg-1 in the whole growth stage under CMRF,the decreasing was higher than those of other treatments.TP contents of 110~140 cm soil layer under each treatment showed a slow decreasing without regulation with the growth stage proceeding,the decreasing range under CMRF was the greatest(0.152 g·kg-1).Spatial trends of TN and TP exhibited an "S" line,the soil layers of TN and TP absorption under mulching treatments were deeper than those of no mulching treatment by 20~40 cm from July to August.The proportion of absorbed nitrogen in 0~60 cm soil layers was the highest under CMRF,while that of TP between each treatment had no significant difference.It was concluded that a root-friendly zone was provided under the mulching treatments for maize roots,the absorption to deeper nutrients was greatest under CMRF and the proportion of TP in 0~60 cm soil layers to that in the entire 200cm soil body had no significant difference under different mulching patterns.
