| Abstract: | Activity-guided fractionation of the methanol extract of Chinese aloes led to the isolation of aloeresin A, which demonstrated significant dose dependent alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activities, with IC(50) values of 11.94 and 2.16 mM, against rat intestinal sucrase and maltase, respectively. |
