| Abstract: | The pollen-tube pathway is one of the methods in genetic transformation of plants, and the transgenic technology has been successfully implemented in many crops since it was founded by Chinese scholars in the 70s. A brief introduction of the advances in the study of pollen-tube pathway of plants, including the establishment of the technology and development, transformation methods and the mechanism, technical advantages and disadvantages, and the latest research progress in crop variety improvement, was summarized in this article. The prospects were also put forward. |
