| Abstract: | The following observations were made on the inheritance of the juvenile period (elapsing between seed germination and first flowering) of apple seedlings.- 1.
Highly significant correlations (0.52 and 0.78 at n=382 and 71) were found between the length of the juvenile period and the degree to which seedlings or progenies as a whole show juvenile symptoms. This relation may provide a basis for the early elimination of seedlings with a relatively long juvenile period (and which are possibly late-bearing).
